EPA Approved Pest Control Products

Aptive's pest control products and applications are EPA approved, indicating that they are safe for the environment and your home, and that your health will be protected upon application of your pest control treatment.

Simple and Customizable Pest Control

Aptive doesn't offer a one-size-fits-all pest control solution. Instead, the company offers customizable pest control treatments that will meet your needs and protect your home. The Aptive pest control process is simple and includes the following three steps:

  1. Pick your pest control plan
  2. Get your pest control
  3. Choose treatment frequency

Based on the pest control plan that you choose, a treatment schedule will be determined, ensuring that an Aptive technician visits your home regularly to keep pests away. If pests come back, Aptive offers re-services at no additional cost.

Wide Range of Targeted Pests

Aptive pest control products specialize in eradicating almost any conceivable pest problem:

  • Ants — A number of different types of ants may find their way into your home. Whether it is the Argentine Ant, Fire Ant, Odorous Ant, Pavement Ant, Pharaoh Ant, or Thief Ants it is likely that they are looking for food or water that may have been spilled in the kitchen. It is important to remember that where there is one ant, there is an entire colony. Aptive's pest control products help kill not only the ants that venture into your home, but the entire colony.
  • Cockroaches — Similar to ants, a number of different types of cockroaches exist in the United States. Some include: The American Cockroach, Brown Banded Cockroach, German Cockroach, oriental Cockroach, and Smokybrown Cockroach. If you start seeing cockroaches in your home, there are likely a number of them as they are very good at hiding.
  • Spiders — A large number of species of spiders can be found in your home. Some of the most common include: The Black Widow, Brown Recluse, Garden Spider, Hobo Spider, House Spider, and Wolf Spider. Though some spider bites may just cause irritation or swelling, others can pose serious health risks.
  • Rodents — Mice and rats are quite good and chewing through most things keeping them out of your home. In the process, they can cause thousands of dollars of damage.
  • Stingers and biters — Some of these insects that may find their way into your home are: Centipedes, Mud Daubers, Scorpions, Tick and Flea control, Wasps, Yellow Jackets and other stinging insects. The pest control company carries special pest control products to target each of these pests.
  • Pantry pests — These pests include, but are not limited to, Indian Meal Moths, Grain Beetles, Granary Weevils, and Rice Weevils.
  • Other common pests — Depending on the season and your geographical location, it is not uncommon to see: Aphids, Crickets, Earwigs, Millipedes, Pill Bugs, Silverfish Bugs, and Snails.

If you are unsure whether or not Aptive offers services to remove a certain type of insect, contact a customer representative for inquiries.

United to Beat Malaria Campaign

Aptive Environmental is dedicated to protecting people all over the world from disease-carrying pests and has partnered with the United Nation's "United to Beat Malaria" campaign to stop malaria (a disease transmitted by mosquito bites). Aptive donates a portion of the company's profits to United to Beat Malaria on an annual basis to provide insecticide-treated bed nets to countries in need.

The Bottom Line

Although relatively young compared to other companies in the pest control industry and it's limited geographic coverage, Aptive has a lot to offer. The company's pest control products and applications are EPA approved, indicating that the company is mindful about its environmental impact. Rather than offering a generic treatment plan, Aptive technicians create a personalized solution that meets the direct needs of the customer.

The majority of our Aptive Environmental review catalog (read below) reveal that customers are happy with the great service they received and felt that the service technicians were attentive to their home's unique needs. I signed up for Aptive and after several instances of technicians "mimicking" as if they were disbursing out granulets, I ended the contract. I have a 360 degree visibility of my home via my home security camera system and observed the technicians run out of granulates and then pretend to put them down on the remainder of my property. I overlooked the first instance, and then called after the second one...and several other instances is what broke the camel's back. Customer service "wiaved" the early termination fee, yet still charged me for the service that wasn't completely fufilled. I went on travel abroad for some months, and when I returned, I had a collections notice for $149, premised on the services 'rendered'. After several instances of unethical practices, it's easy to see that this is a breach of contract - however, Aptive's "management" is citing they cannot do anything since the charges are already in collections. BEWARE of this company - while their products do seem to work, their practices (by way of some of their technicians) are shady at best. I really tried to work this out, to no avail.

I keep insisting that I don't need someone to come by every 2 weeks in the snow but it for some reason it isn't understood. The last time I accepted since the contract called for a visit every 3 months and I let the tech in to do the garage. Not happy that I wasn't notified until the day of the appointment

This company is a complete scam! DONT USE THEM! I live on over a half acre and the tech would spend only 10 mins spraying my yard and then sit in his struck for 15 mins. He also left the water running on the hose when he filled up the tank, when I mentioned this to him on his next visit he started yelling at me on my front porch. Custom service said they would have a different tech come out to service my yard, which only happened once. They send me a text message of service dates and then when it comes time for the appointment I get a text that says, “an Aptive service professional visited your home for an appointment on but it looks like we missed you.“ I work from home and have been for every appointment. To make matters worst the bug problem has only gotten worst since having their service.

No one showed up to my house so why was I charged for this service? It’s way too expensive for what you get. And it’s a racket and I wish I would’ve just sent the salesman packing the second. He showed up at my door and as soon as I have the money I planned to cancel for good.

WARNING OF FRAUD AND APTIVE CHANGING CONTRACTS WITHOUT CUSTOMER KNOWLEDGE On 12/4 , Aptive serviced my premises as they have been doing since 2017. Shortly thereafter I received a new contract dated 12/4 but fraudulently signed and initialed by my wife. It stated the contract was reviewed and all terms agreed upon. The fact is no one talked to us about the contract or terms, nor did we sign or initial anything. Even though docusign was supposedly used, no notification of documents for review and signature was ever sent. Plus contracts are not being encrypted when sent despite containing sensitive PII data. Since Monday, i have attempted to get an explanation and continue to get the runaround and no one will put me through to senior management saying I'd get called back which never seems to happen. I would encourage everyone to review their contracts, verify signatures and initials and confirm that Aptive didn't create fictitious contracts as they're done with me. Fraudulently signing documents and manipulating terms without customers approval is illegal yet seems to be a policy of Aptive. For your protection - check your contracts and if you didnt sign and approve the contracts - report it and find another service.

Aptive goes door to door like home security services and I decided to give them a go. The problem is you do not get the same technician each and everytime and the difference in technician proficiency is like night and day. First of all, they do not let you know they are arriving and when they come to your door it is much of a surprise rather than letting you know in advance so you can place the appt on your calendar. Second, since it is always a different technician, they don't know where specific insect traps are set so they don't know to service them. getting out of contract with them is expensive, I will never use them again.

As per the home’s cameras…Arrival time 11:48am and was driving away by 12:05. The technician walked around the house twice Once to remove cobwebs and a second time to sprinkle something. In both instances, minimum effort was applied. I barely saw him do anything other than hold a cell phone in one hand and the pole in the other. You want me to pay for the service of someone doing a couple laps around my house. I’m not an expert but I’m not sure how that is limiting the insects from my property. Generally I am happy the service and the quality of the technician, but this was ridiculous!!!!

Was scheduled for the afternoon when I would try to make and the guy showed up early in the morning and only swept around the house. I also wanted a spray in the house which I would have directed him to do. One the contract of 9 visits is over, I will never renew nor will I recommend Aptive to anyone.

Technician was on property today for literally 150 seconds. I have it all on camera. There is no way the treatments were met in 150 seconds. This is the second concern I have files with Aptive. I could have done the same treatment myself in bye time and not spent the money for a supposed “professional” . I’ll be reporting this to BBB and cancelling my plan. Complete waste of money.

Sorry product with sorry business practices. Huge ripoff!! 100% do NOT recommend. You’d be better off buying a spray off of amazon and spraying your house yourself. Their sales rep initially said that I could try 1 service to see how it worked. Then when they showed up to do everything said I could only sign for a year contract. They have a $199 cancellation fee, so I was very hesitant about signing. But the sales person assured me that if the service wasn’t working, they wouldn’t charge it to me. They then did the service, removed spiderwebs, sprayed inside and outside. Gave me some cheap crappy fly catcher blue light plug in. I noticed their spray killed 1 roach, and made some outdoor spiders actually come inside the windows. The second time the came, they only sprayed outside. I tried their service for 2 months, mainly for the spiders. I still have tons of spiders and spiderwebs. I called to cancel, because $684 a year, or $57/month, is too much to spend on a service that doesn’t work, especially for a single mom… and of course, I had to pay $199 to cancel because their sales rep just spouted off a bunch of lies to get me to sign. Now I’m a single mom, out over $300, that still has a bunch of spiders.

Canceling my contract with this company. Used to be great but has gone downhill. A few months ago I took off from work to be there for service (to let them in our home), but the tech showed up and left saying he didn't have time and to just reschedule. I gave them another shot and again took off from work to let them in the house, but the tech came sprayed the outside and just left. When I complained the first time, I did not hear back from the company. The second time I called to complain, their solution was a $20 discount off of shot $300 worth of service charges. When I didn't even end up receiving service at all one of those times. Save your money and your time. Look elsewhere for service.

The technician showed up at 8:00PM called me 5 times until I answered. Rang my doorbell 3 times, woke my daughter up in the process, and didn’t even wait until I opened the door before heading back down to his vehicle. He made excuses as to why he was late telling me stories about wasps nests and how Aptive makes him drive too far during his day. Then proceeded to continue to call me at 8:30 at night to come open my gate in my backyard because he couldn’t see the latch..he was wearing sunglasses…..he sent me 7 different text pictures of him spraying, all were blurry and didn’t show anything. By far the worst service we’ve had with Aptive.

Mrs. S San Diego, CA

On 7/26/23 an Aptive sales guy tried selling me on some pest control services in the Clairemont neighborhood of San Diego. He didn’t provide his name or the company he worked for. Simply showed me a laminated page with some pics of bugs that I looked at warily. He asked if I was “the boss” and if the homeowners would be interested in signing up. Claimed 13 of my neighbors just signed up and he’d be back in the area tomorrow to service their homes. Wanted to cut me in on a good deal. I firmly declined repeatedly. He asked if anyone in charge would be home tomorrow. I firmly said there’s no interest and he made a note in his iPad before continuing along on his hover board. Then on 7/27/23, around 10 am he came back. He rang the bell, yelled out hello and loudly knocked on the door. A minute or so went by, and he rang, yelled and knocked again. After several seconds he attempted to to open my front door … aggressively trying to see if it would open. Fortunately we always lock and deadbolt our door! My dog was barking like crazy at this point. He then waits a moment before trying to open the door for a second time. After a few more moments he takes off on his hover board. Please be on the lookout and lock your doors! We called the company to file a complaint as well as with SDPD. Adaptive took down the info but gave us the run around when we tried to escalate the complaint and get in touch with the area manager. Very shady employees and business.

If I could give them a zero, I would. I was promised a time of 8:30 a.m. for them to take care of a wasp/bee/hornet nest this morning. I have used this company for 8 years for preventative maintenance. I have specifically asked them to dust for wasps/hornets whatever is on our deck every summer. The effectiveness of preventative maintenance has been subpar for the past year or two. We disrupted a nest and we were stung over 40 times two days ago. We were promised that someone come out yesterday, then promised a time of 8:30 this morning, 11:00, then 1:00. I was promised many things by manager Connor who had to explain that he has two years of seniority and is a big shot with the company. What a joke! I was lied to by Connor numerous times. He said Shelly the area manager would call, never did, the list goes on and on. And then, when the service technician Alex finally showed up, (he texted that he would be there in an hour or less. He came two hours late.) I was admonished by him saying that they don't do bees and that it was crazy for him to be asked to pick up the cloth grill covering the bee nest had been in. He was extremely cocky and rude. He escalated the situation and soon I was yelling back at him. Do NOT use this company!!!!! In the midst of it all, I got another text to pay a 130 dollar charge to Aptive by manager Taylor. I couldn't believe it! Their customer service has gone downhill. I have canceled my account, and paid off everything even though I don't think it is fair that I had to. STEER clear of them! They will take your money and will treat you poorly. Take your business someplace else.

This service is very dishonest . An aptive rep came to my door and convinced me after I showed him my current service and its monthly cost and the company name , to change to them at a lower monthly cost . Did all the paperwork to my then provider to stop the service . I had to provide an auto pay to receive that rate . I had the service 3 months when I noticed they were charging my account 3 times as much as the previous ! I was so mad that they fooled me into stopping my service with the other company I had for 5 years in a lie . BEWARE !

I look outside and his truck is gone 15 minutes later. I usually get a text before they pull away with pics, explaining everything they did etc but didn’t get anything. The person that came out didn't complete the entire service. He completed the outside but not the inside. He said no one answered the door when he arrived, but my wife drove up as he was spraying and he said he asked her did she want the inside sprayed and he said she said no. I asked my wife if she told him not to spray the inside and she said no and that he never asked her about the inside. I sent him a message informing him that he needed to spray the inside and he said he would try to make it back out, but never showed up or call me to let me know he wasn't coming back.

Before signing the contract, I was clear that my most significant concern was an ant problem around my home. A week after the initial treatment, the ant problem was worse than ever. I called Customer Service to ask for help. I never received a call or email message to resolve the problem. After emailing and request to cancel the service (no response received), I then called to cancel the service. Cancellation cost me another 199.00. The bottom line is I paid $300.00, and received NOTHING in return. This company is a huge disappointment. All I really wanted was a resolution to my pest problem, and I could not even raise a response from their 'customer service' team. Very disappointing.

Absolutely the most aggressive and non customer friendly sales agents working our neighborhood. Most have No Soliciting signs up, including our home. I asked if the agent saw the sign and his response - ‘It’s just pest control!’ While it may be a great company that does great things- they missed a sizeable market based on the aggressive door-to-door comparing that has been peppering our neighborhood for several days- sometimes approaching homes more than once.

NEVER USE THESE GUYS ---- Take a look at how poorly we were treated and then the underhanded deed they did. We signed up with Aptive Environmental in May of 2022, they asked for $145 for the initial service and required us to sign up for a year commitment prior to doing any work. (at $200 for the year) I agreed. They sprayed our property on May 9th 2022. And let us know that since we were signed up for a year, that we can have them come back and spray at any time that we need it. We needed it on Tuesday June 7th. Our kitchen counter was overrun with ants. I called Aptive to ask them to come out as soon as possible because this invasion was so bad that it was practically an unlivable situation. No one answered the phone. I left two messages that day but didn’t get a call back. They instead, responded with a text saying they couldn’t be out until June 10th. This was entirely unacceptable. I left two more messages letting them know that this was an urgent need. I didn’t hear back from them. Friday the 10th comes, and instead of them coming out on June 10th, they sent a text saying they would not be able to come out until June 15th. This was beyond unacceptable. I called them and told them not to bother and to cancel our contract. They said that whether the technician comes out or not we would still owe the $200. I argued that because they hadn’t been able to live up to their end of the agreement that I don’t owe the $200. They kept insisting because I signed the agreement form that I owed them $200 no matter what. I told them go ahead and charge the $200 and I’ll dispute the charges when they show up. That was the last I heard from them until November 15th when... I RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM A COLLECTIONS COMPANY CALLED A.R.M.!! WHAT!?!? How can they be that shady? Just despicable. They didn’t do the honorable thing which would have been to apologize and cancel the contract. They didn’t try to bill us, even though they had our credit card on file. (Probably because they knew I would dispute the charges and most likely win) Instead, they did something very underhanded (and possibly illegal) and sent the account to collections. (Thus an attempt to hurt our credit rating rather than trying to either charge off the balance or call us and attempt to resolve the issue.) NEVER EVER EVER EVEN TALK TO THESE GUYS!!!!!

I opened an account for pest control services with a customer service agent who told me I was signing up for "flea and rodent" services. My first appointment was cancelled abruptly after I had waited all morning, and I had to contact the company to reschedule. When they did come, they did not provide "flea and rodent services." They only sprayed for different insects. I reached out to the company to complain, so they rescheduled other technicians, who did some of what they were supposed to, including laying traps to check for next time. However, on my second appointment, the technician had no idea he was supposed to be treating for fleas and rodents. He also told me that the package I believed I had purchased was no longer offered by the company. He was not aware that he was supposed to check traps, and he did not perform any "flea and rodent" services. The receipts I received via email did not list any flea or rodent services either. When I reached out to the company, they said they had not bothered to put "flea and rodent" services on the notes for the technician, and wanted to schedule another time for someone to come out. I said no - I wanted to close my account and cancel services with them, because I am tired of waiting for technicians, not getting the services I ordered, and needing to chase down the company's customer service department every single time. They told me I need to pay a "cancellation fee" of $199. I find this unacceptable - I am paying two hundred dollars for the privilege of no longer paying for a service that is not the one I signed up for? I just want my account closed so I no longer have to deal with them.

I don't normally leave reviews, but this was such a terrible experience that I felt the need to share. The sign-up and first treatment went great. Zero issues. For the second treatment, I got stood up twice - Aptive just no-showed. When someone finally showed up (try #3), I got zero notification that they were headed my way. Once they arrived, they were onsite less than 5 minutes. I know because my Ring doorbell caught the tech's movement. I had another treatment today and same thing - the guy was here less than 5 minutes. No way you can provide quality treatment in that amount of time, especially for what I'm paying them. The worst part is instead of offering any refund (they did offer $10 off the first time....big whoop), they offer to send someone else out. No, thank you! Stay away from Aptive!

I would have given zero or negative rating if there was an option. I have not seen such an unethical company like Aptive Environmental. Their service is very sloppy. In fact, after the treatment pest activity has increased. Also, person who did the service did such a sloppy job, that I have to show him what all places he missed to clean the webs and apply pest control products(though they were in front of our eyes). Don't ever..ever...ever....ever... signup with this company.

I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied in the service provided my Aptive Environmental. I have made multiple complaints regarding the worthless service rendered on my property to address a rat and mice problem in my backyard. My cat continues to bring half dead rats/mice into my home and is doing a better job than Aptive at addressing the problem. A technician randomly contacted me on 9/21 stating they would be providing another service and I informed them that I was out of town and when I would return. The technician came to my home anyway and completed an unapproved service in my front yard only due to not having access to my backyard (the issues is not in my front yard) then next thing I know I was charged for the unapproved service. Now Aptive Environmental is refusing to issue me a full refund for this unapproved “service.” Not acceptable. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They do not communicate well, their remedies are ineffective for rats and rodents, they are unprofessional, and they will not honor their 10/10 customer experience rating guarantee. Horrible experience overall.

I am writing my review in hopes that it may help others who may want to do business with Aptive Environmental. I had been a customer of Aptive for a year and had a great experience, until I didn’t. My account was switched over to Felicia B. I was scheduled for my quarterly service and the tech told me he would come between 11A and 1P that day. The tech called me around 4:30P stating there was traffic and the weather was bad. I understood his concern and he assured me that someone would come the following day which was a Saturday to complete my service. On Saturday, I received an email that my service was complete. I immediately called Aptive and told them not to charge my card because my service was not complete! I have 2 Ring cameras and I did not see the tech on any of my cameras. There were no signs left in the yard, I did not get a call or a knock at my door which proves the tech was not there! I had another friend in Baltimore that had the same issue with the tech saying they came but did not. I was beyond frustrated. I called my account rep, Felicia, and told her that with all this confusion and the tech stating they came out but did not, I did not have any intentions for paying for the service. She then stated she would put me down for a service that would be no charge. Felicia submitted my service as a reservice which led to multiple text messages stating Aptive needed to come out for my quarterly service. Everyone knows a reservice is free but the initial service was never completed! I was very confused and told them to stop contacting me since I already had service. When I called Felicia, she told me that they would need to come out and I would be charged because she did not properly code this in the system. I asked to speak to her supervisor 4x because this is beyond frustrating and I also told her to cancel my service. I never had these issues with Aptive! After speaking with others that had complaints about the integrity of this company, I would NOT recommend to anyone! When I got to escalate the call, I was told that the information would be escalated to her supervisor and with all the calls being recorded, some serious training needs to happen. Horrible!

It's been a time-consuming and frustrating experience. While the actual service is ok, the logistics behind each appointment and the customer service is just plain terrible. Everyone is polite, however they seem to have multiple teams that do not coordinate with each other and tell you different things. 4 visits in and I have dozens of emails and texts with all the back and forth. You are bound by contract to a year but they can raise the prices on you. I wanted to end the relationship after the second service out of logistical frustration and I had to stay or pay $199 from the initial treatment discount. Last time I was told it was the last (it's been over a year), however they are now attempting to charge me the cancellation fee despite the fact I confirmed it with them last time. So now I am wasting just more time dealing with customer service. If you value your time, run away, because they certainly do not.

I had an appointment yesterday 8/3. No one was going to be in the house, and I would prefer someone be there when the tech comes, so when I noticed there was movement from my camera doorbell I saw there was a tech. I talked with him before he could begin the treatment and requested that it be re-scheduled for next week Thursday when someone should be at the house. I then get a text today 8/4 saying that the tech is 30 minutes away. I respond again reminding them that I requested a re-schedule for next week, and I got a text back confirming this. Later in the day I see an email come through stating that the treatment was completed and I owed the full amount. After checking my cameras and seeing that no one was there as well hearing from my partner that no one had been by the house. This company attempted to fraudulently charge my account, and as soon as I can get rid of them I will.

This warning on Aptive_Environmental pest control has been a long time coming. In May, their technician stole and pawned my son’s PS5. We have proof it was him. His name and photo on the id used to pawn it match what was sent to us when he was coming out. I was on a call in my office, he unplugged it from upstairs, when he was supposed to be putting traps in the attic, walked through the living room and out the garage. Officers located it quickly at a pawn shop in Fort Worth but we weren't able to claim it because, even though we identified a mark on on the side and the game inside and had the original box, we didn’t have the serial number written down. (Don’t make this mistake, go take pictures of all your valuable serial numbers now) Also the value wasnt high enough to allow for a warrant to get the serial number. We have made multi attempts to contact Aptive Environmental to let them make it right and we continue to be passed from person to person. We have no idea if this young man is still working for them or who else he might be stealing from. This PS5 was not something bought lightly, several family members went together and got it for my son as his Christmas present in 2020. We were violated and it still keeps me up to this day. Do not trust this company in your home.

route manager on segway sold me service. told me company was in area servicing my neighbors. being new to area i signed up after being offered discount. service man showed up 3 hours later. he only did part of what was promised by route manager. did not clean all eaves as contracted. did not do a 2x2 flush as contracted. left before completing job and had to be summoned back . despite me being home service man told route manager i was unavailable to review work. route manager wanted voided check to hold reservation appointment and never told me they were going to automatically withdraw from account when job completed. route manager also did not explain 72 cancellation window. be aware that signing up contracts you for 2 years and if you cancel prior to that you are liable for && to make up discounted rate offered on first day. not pleased with the work or the opacity of contract. i would not recommend.

An Aptive rep knocked on my door at 9pm, sent my dog into a frenzy, got me out of bed when I was trying to get my 5 year old to sleep, and could’ve woken up my 3 year old and baby. A local review online shared a similar story about a rep knocking late at night. Rep pointed at a spider web by my door and said he specialized in “de-webbing” and taking care of mice. Please have some courtesy about knocking on peoples doors - just don’t knock before 8am and after 8pm. Also, I have a legitimate pest control company already. I own a broom and don’t need “de-webbing” services. That’s just ridiculous.

If I could give them 0 stars I would! They don’t care about getting your service they only care about getting money out of you. You are better off doing a DIY extermination, you get ghetto techs, techs that don’t do anything but walk around with a little stick saying they take con webs but don’t do it. They charge you even if you don’t get service & if you reschedule they charge you again. Sells men told me it was 12 months contract when it was really 24 months. I expressed myself to costumer service of how dissatisfied I was with the company & wanted to cancel because it was horrible and he didn’t care he said I had to pay $199 to end contract. He didn’t once apologize or try to correct the problem. I’m stuck with another year with them because they don’t help me. I hate APTIVE. Never again will I use your service after the contract ends. And I will make sure to say this to everyone I know.

They only care about money . Was charged for a service they said they did but the day they said they did it it rained all day . Next service day nobody showed up either . Would have been charged again for a non service but I complained only to be told they canceled that day and will be out next month . No email to me saying they canceled as I waited all day to ask about the service they did not do in the rain but was charged for . No word about a refund for the scam service they are running just told me if I cancel the service I will be charged another $199 for nothing done Please do not waste you money on this company that cares nothing about you only cares how much money they can get for doing nothing

One week ago our house was treated in a different way than usual resulting in insecticide powder showering me when I opened the door to walk outside, piles of insecticide powder on our window sills, and insecticide powder pushed up into and around our window sashes. We have several older windows and the powder actually made its way through gaps and INTO our house, laying on window sills and a countertop. I called the 800 number for Aptive and the gal told me to bathe and wash the clothes that got the insecticide on them. She also said she would leave a message for my local Aptive manager to call me, since she wasn't fully aware of the chemical used or why it was used on our doors and windows. Not around the doors and windows, but actually in the doors and windows. The next morning I went around the house with wet paper towels to clean up the piles on the window sills and tried to get as much of the powder out of the sashes. The following day, I gently washed as much of the powder out of the sashes as I could. I waited a few days and then called our local office, only to get customer service, again. This time she told me to go to my doctor or hospital, if needed. She also sent me an email with an attachment showing the chemicals used for our treatment. I tried clicking the link for the powder that was used and got "Oops! That page can't be found!". Over a week later, I am still waiting for the local manager to call. I feel concerned for those who are also getting this powder all over the place and are unaware of it. I am sincerely disappointed that the manager has not called, even after both customer service gals let him know of the seriousness of the situation. I believe the young man doing the treatment was trying to go above and beyond, he simply needs better training. I am not unhappy with customer service or the young man doing the treatment, just the manager. Unfortunately, the manager represents the business, so we will be leaving Aptive.

THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. If you are looking for any kind of pest control RUN from this company. I contacted them because a rat problem that we had after we purchased our new house. They came and said that the first visit was free. When the guy came to my house he did not have the equipment needed to handle the rat issue. He told us that he would have to come back. That same tech did not come though, a different one did, and then tried to charge me because he came out, and for the equipment. I explained that that was not what was explained to me, and even though he did come the first time he did not do anything except put 3 sticky traps out in the open in the backyard, which I had to move because our dog's paw got stuck to it. I explained that he did not finish his job the first time, so why I am paying for the 2nd visit? The tech was very nice but the manager was horrible and never even contacted me back when I reached out, as well as the tech himself. They didn't leave anything to help with our rat problem and we went to Walmart and tried to do it ourselves. They then tried to come on some random date and contacted me saying they were coming. He was informed that I didn't want ay service from them and that we were not even in the country. He came on out property anyway and then charged us for it. Due to horrible service and my complaints they cancelled my service, but still tried to charge me for their employee's trespassing on private property. I been in contact with them 5 times, and NO ONE as contacted me back. To top it off my credit has been affected, because while trying to handle this the charge was sent to collections. I will be contacting the better business bureau. THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST!!!!!!

When you want to protect your home from bugs, you call a pest/bug extermination company. When you want to protect your home from pests while having aggravation and having a company try to steal from you by coming and charging every 2 months when your agreement is quarterly, call Aptive. In the beginning they were great. Then me, my dad, and my sister all began to have the same problem. We agreed to quarterly treatments but noticed the time between applications was closer and closer. All 3 of us would complain or cancel and say "Come back at the agreed upon time.", but it's pathetic that I have to watch them like a hawk or they are screwing me by making trips additional to what we agreed on. The funny part is they send text reminders so I can CLEARLY see it's too soon! In addition, they say at your request they will spray inside but are resistant when asked to do so or claim you have to call ahead. They run around and barely do anything. I still see bugs and the last guy that called was angry that I wanted to reschedule because it was pouring down raining. He was aggressive and argued with me and then showed up later that day after the rain stopped. There is no honesty or respect for customers. They may seem great the first time or 2 but it will get worse. I promise. It has for all 3 people in my family that have used them. There's tons of companies for pest control. DON'T USE THIS ONE!

Will not be renewing my service with Aptive. They charge you quarterly for their services and then don’t show up on the day they’re scheduled to service your home. I was home the day they were supposed to arrive and they never did. And my credit card was charged 4 days before the scheduled visit. I never received the mandatory call that they were on their way, and their company records claimed that my house was serviced. Seeing as my house was not serviced I cannot continue to support a business that scams it’s customers and doesn’t follow through on their promise. Your customer service representative was also condescending and unhelpful. She kept repeating that her records showed our house was serviced. It’s great that you think your computer database is never wrong, but I was there in person and no one ever showed up.

Buyer beware. Its a door to door sale. The first treatment is that day. Quarterly after that. You better be home or they just sit in the truck (so said my neighbors) and even when you are home, ten minutes max is not long enough to do the spraying they agreed to. One tech comes out and does one "sweep" of spraying and when the next tech comes out, they don't do the same thing and neither of them does much of anything. And a quarter treatment done in November is scheduled to be repeated in January. They said that was every 90 days as stated in the contract. Who can't count? Me or them? But not to worry, they don't always show up nor do you get a call that explains why they didn't come and when you contact them, they don't apologize, they just tell you the tech is out sick. Asking when the service can be rescheduled, they have to call you back. Don't sit by the phone. It could be a while. So, like your mother always told you "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is". She's always right, isn't she?

I called Monday 10/11, to report my new address and to schedule service. Lots of spiders and ants. I was next available was weds 10/13, perfect-scheduled appt. Weds came and no one showed. I called and was told, they are not showing an appt for that day but do see one scheduled for Monday 10/18, frustrating but ok. Monday rolls around and again no show, I call again and was told they don’t see any appts scheduled for me for this month! I gasped and asked how could this happen? I asked to speak to a manager and said all they could do was submit a form for someone to call me within 24 to 48 hours. Two days go by(now it’s weds 10/20) no phone call or email from these unprofessionals. I called them back AGAIN, told lady what’s been going on. She said she can set another appt for 10/3, that’s the soonest. She apologized for the inconvenience, I asked if I was going to be charged for October, since they kept canceling on me. She transferred me to the loyalty Dept. Someone unknowingly picked up and was talking about how drunk they got a “Eric’s” wedding the last weekend. I tried to get his attention, finally he noticed and disconnected the call. Completely frustrated, I called back this company again. I advised them what was going on, multiple no shows, no call backs, disconnected call. I was immediately transferred to a “manager” by the name of James M. He was professional sounding at least, offered me a $30 discount for my troubles. And he confirmed my already scheduled appt for 10/3. He also emailed me from his “personal” email and advised me to reach out to me if I should encounter any other issues or concerns. Fast forward to 10/3, again no show/no call. I emailed James, after a few hours of no response from him I called his number on the email and it went straight to customer service. I asked her to confirm my scheduled appointment for today and she told me that it had been cancelled and someone was supposed to reach out to me. I gave her a quick run down of my experience, she apologized and gave me another $30 credit. She said, when I called the first time to advised I moved, they changed my address but not my service area(branch?) she advised she will have the service area manager Josh D, call me within 24-48 hours. I reminded her, I have a baby here and I have been living with spiders and ants for over a month now at this new house. She said she will do her best to get him to call me hopefully by the end of that day. Well, today is 2 days after that, still no calls, texts or emails. I called back and received ok service on the phone, he pretended to schedule a service for tomorrow(because at this point, it’s a joke now) he said all he could do is to submit a form for management to call me within 24/48 hours. I thanked him for his help. I emailed back James and asked him why he offered his services to reach out to him if he had no intention of reaching out to me. Still waiting to hear from anyone.

I would never recommend this company. I am so unhappy with almost every aspect of their business and service. I was lied to about my contract. Even though I have the text messages from the sales man they tried to switch my contract for a longer more expensive one. The time line of services were more often than told to me through text which means way more money. I’ve, since starting in July, asked twice to speak to a manager and have been told there’s no one to speak with right away I have to wait for a call back and no one has called me back. I was told it takes at most a day. It’s been almost a month. The spray hasn’t worked. I still have all the same pests but even more now. I’ve been sprayed 3 service times and 2 resprays and nothing changes. So frustrated. Please save yourself headache and a waste of your money.

I had an Aptive tech come out about a week ago, it was a miserable experience. He was very unprofessional told me not to follow him around before he even got started. I showed him where the ants and spiderwebs were and he told me he would take care of it. I left to run errands, he literally spent about 10 to 12 minutes at my home before he left only spraying some product in the grass on part of the lawn near the house then used a cobweb brush for about 2-3 minutes missing 90% of the spiderwebs and then he spread about a cup of granules around the house but missed the entire pool, patio, gazebo and the detached garage areas. I viewed my security cameras and confirmed the time he spent there and after walking around and saw all the same cobwebs and seeing no product like the granules where they needed to be. I did call the tech back and he argued that he did everything until I pointed out the missing granules and all the cobwebs that he did not treat. It was a very disappointing experience and I would NOT recommend. I received no follow up from the company after the service.
