Aptive Environmental is dedicated to protecting people all over the world from disease-carrying pests and has partnered with the United Nation's “Nothing But Nets” campaign to stop malaria (a disease transmitted by mosquito bites). Aptive donates a portion of the company’s profits to “Nothing But Nets” on an annual basis to provide insecticide-treated bed nets to countries in need. While Aptive offers general pest control services, the company does not provide services for bed bug, termite, or mole control and prevention. Many other pest control companies offer wildlife control, lawn services (fertilization, weed control, lawn care), crawl space services, and attic services (attic insulation and attic restoration). Additionally, Aptive does not treat for mosquitoes.

Aptive Environmental Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to sign a contract?
We require a contract for the first year, but after that we do not require a contract for services.
Is pest control safe for my family or pets?
Yes, it is safe. However, as a precautionary measure, we request you leave your home for two hours when having the inside of your home treated. When we are only treating the outside of your home, we do not require you to be gone.
Do you have a cancellation fee?
We do not have a cancellation fee. However, we sometimes will do promotions on the initial service of the contact and in that case, we do require that the initial service is paid for in full if the contract is cancelled.
What if I still see bugs after a treatment?
If you are still seeing bugs, we will come reservice for free. Every home is different, and occasionally it takes two visits to break up the egg cycles.
How soon before we can expect results?
The services work immediately, but expect it to take 7–10 days for the full effect.
What if it rains after my house is treated?
If it's not a downpour, then the treatment will still be effective. However if there is a super heavy storm, we will be happy to come back and reservice your home.
What kinds of pests do you treat for?
We service all general pests. This includes ants, spiders, cockroaches, rodents, wasps, yellow jackets, ticks, fleas, centipede, scorpion, mud dauber, pantry pests, and others such as millipedes, snails, earwigs etc.
Note: We do NOT treat for bed bugs, termites, or moles.
How long does the service take?
The initial service takes 45 minutes; the quarterly services take 25 minutes.
What kinds of chemicals or pesticides do you use?
Our main chemicals include Taurus, cy-kick, D-fence, Demand, Sluggo, and Suspend just depending on your pest problem.

I called Aptive Environmental to come out between services bc I saw scorpions on the porch. They came out the very next day. Stephen did an outstanding job spraying and treating everything, even the whole back yard! I couldn't be happier with the service. He explained what he did and precocion we should take with our puppy before treated area is safe. I'm very happy with the service!

Sam was very efficient laying traps and identifying/closing vulnerabilities in the house, both internally and externally. Sam explained everything throughout the process and showed us pictures of the issues that need to be addressed to prevent future problems. Sam was very professional and seemed trustworthy. It has been less than a week, but we have seen no new activity since. I definitely trust these guys.
By far, THE BEST, MOST COMPLETE service we have received to date, by Aptive. I was so pleasantly surprised at the quality of service given by Juan. PLEASE make him our regular guy!

Terrible experience. The service promised has not been delivered. Absolutely no way to comunícate with anyone who has knowledge of the process. Technicians say they come but I’ve yet to see one come to my house for service for the exception of the 1st visit. At this time I wish I could cancel the service. I know my money is just being flushed away. Never again!

I do not even want to give a star for this company. I have never had so much trouble communicating with a company before. They never answer their phones, they say they will call back but you have to call again and sit on hold AGAIN to speak with someone, their app is conveniently ALWAYS down, I ask every appointment to not come at a certain time and they somehow always come at that time and mark it as a missed appointment (happened twice out of four services), I have had to have them come back out to spray again twice (again out of four services), they say there is not a cancellation fee but want to charge me 249 to cancel because of a promotion they ran? Overall I am not happy with this company and I’m being forced to use them again for my last service so I can be charged 92 dollars instead of 249. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Aptive. The ONLY good thing about this company is their kind techs since I have met so many with their reservices....

Horrible experience. He never asked me if I was having problems with the inside of my house. Came and sprayed front yard ONLY for $140. Then, when I called the office to ask why he didn't come in, they called him and he LIED and said he would call me in a few minutes to set up a time later today so he could finish the job. He never called back. I am very unhappy with this company. You should make it a POINT to ASK your customers when you call for the 30 minutes window if there are any other issues. And, you should let the costumer what you are going to do on the visit. Not just show up for 5 min. and leave. That way, if the customer is having any other issues, you could address them during that visit.
Tech showed up on time and was very professional. We were happy to see all the crickets and other insects dead.

How can you rate a tech if your not home to see what they do? I froze our account until spring back in September. November is not spring. I told your tech Angel on Nov 19 that we sold our home and we are moving. You sent someone out on the 21st to do it anyway and took money from my account for a service that wasn't needed at this time and was supposed to be froze. You don't answer your phones, communication is awful and customer service is atrocious. I will not recommend your company to anyone for lack of good customer service.

The service man called and gave me an approximate time he would be there. Upon arrival I noticed it was just him, usually there are two. But he did an incredible job that was maticoulus and attention to detail. I hope I get him again on the next visit.
I didn't catch the name of your technician today, but he called and let me know what he was doing and asked if I had other problems. I mentioned mice and he checked and refilled all of the bait boxes.

Today's service was excellent. Richard was on time and called to let me know he was on his way. He was professional and performed my quarterly service perfectly. However, I'm dissatisfied with a no show on Sat. 11/14/20. Not only was it a no show, but I received nothing to notify me that the technician was sick and I had to call to get the service scheduled for today --11/19/20, on Monday 11/16/20. No one contacted me!
In May-2020, I agree to the services with trust and expectations of Active being experts at their job. It is now November-2020 and I have not seen a decrease in pests as promised. I called into customer service to express these concerns and to request a cancellation of their services. The representative/customer experience personnel became rude after hear the complaint saying in a condescending tone, "well how come you never called before?" After going back and forth for about 5 minutes, I asked again for the services to be cancelled. The agent continued to offer alternatives for the services to be performed again. Expressed my confusion as to how repeating the service would make a difference in results. The agent abruptly stated, "you have to give the time to work", rudely cutting me off. These services started in MAY... again, it's now NOVEMBER, how much longer do I wait for results?? That's poor services and I am not getting the experiences I was promised. I shouldn't have to pay for something I am not getting! I kindly asked for a manger, supervisor, or even corporate. The agent mentioned that she's the person who handles these types of situations and could not give my any contacts for corporate. Again... Poor! I am not happy about this. Even if I do not get my refund as requested, I want people to know about my experience here.

Thank you for providing the recent service. I'm disappointed though because I've asked in the past that rodent boxes be placed on the sides of our house. I'm not blaming the technician, but I hope the company will provide those boxes prior to the next quarterly treatment.
