EPA Approved Pest Control Products

Aptive's pest control products and applications are EPA approved, indicating that they are safe for the environment and your home, and that your health will be protected upon application of your pest control treatment.

Simple and Customizable Pest Control

Aptive doesn't offer a one-size-fits-all pest control solution. Instead, the company offers customizable pest control treatments that will meet your needs and protect your home. The Aptive pest control process is simple and includes the following three steps:

  1. Pick your pest control plan
  2. Get your pest control
  3. Choose treatment frequency

Based on the pest control plan that you choose, a treatment schedule will be determined, ensuring that an Aptive technician visits your home regularly to keep pests away. If pests come back, Aptive offers re-services at no additional cost.

Wide Range of Targeted Pests

Aptive pest control products specialize in eradicating almost any conceivable pest problem:

  • Ants — A number of different types of ants may find their way into your home. Whether it is the Argentine Ant, Fire Ant, Odorous Ant, Pavement Ant, Pharaoh Ant, or Thief Ants it is likely that they are looking for food or water that may have been spilled in the kitchen. It is important to remember that where there is one ant, there is an entire colony. Aptive's pest control products help kill not only the ants that venture into your home, but the entire colony.
  • Cockroaches — Similar to ants, a number of different types of cockroaches exist in the United States. Some include: The American Cockroach, Brown Banded Cockroach, German Cockroach, oriental Cockroach, and Smokybrown Cockroach. If you start seeing cockroaches in your home, there are likely a number of them as they are very good at hiding.
  • Spiders — A large number of species of spiders can be found in your home. Some of the most common include: The Black Widow, Brown Recluse, Garden Spider, Hobo Spider, House Spider, and Wolf Spider. Though some spider bites may just cause irritation or swelling, others can pose serious health risks.
  • Rodents — Mice and rats are quite good and chewing through most things keeping them out of your home. In the process, they can cause thousands of dollars of damage.
  • Stingers and biters — Some of these insects that may find their way into your home are: Centipedes, Mud Daubers, Scorpions, Tick and Flea control, Wasps, Yellow Jackets and other stinging insects. The pest control company carries special pest control products to target each of these pests.
  • Pantry pests — These pests include, but are not limited to, Indian Meal Moths, Grain Beetles, Granary Weevils, and Rice Weevils.
  • Mosquitoes - Aptive employs a range of treatments to combat mosquitoes, including targeted sprays, foggers, and water treatments. Focused efforts are directed at shaded areas, trees, bushes, and under eaves to effectively target mosquitoes on your property.
  • Other common pests — Depending on the season and your geographical location, it is not uncommon to see: Aphids, Crickets, Earwigs, Millipedes, Pill Bugs, Silverfish Bugs, and Snails.

If you are unsure whether or not Aptive offers services to remove a certain type of insect, contact a customer representative for inquiries.

United to Beat Malaria Campaign

Aptive Pest Control is dedicated to protecting people all over the world from disease-carrying pests and has partnered with the United Nation's "United to Beat Malaria" campaign to stop malaria (a disease transmitted by mosquito bites). Aptive donates a portion of the company's profits to United to Beat Malaria on an annual basis to provide insecticide-treated bed nets to countries in need.

The Bottom Line

Although relatively young compared to other companies in the pest control industry and it's limited geographic coverage, Aptive has a lot to offer. The company's pest control products and applications are EPA approved, indicating that the company is mindful about its environmental impact. Rather than offering a generic treatment plan, Aptive technicians create a personalized solution that meets the direct needs of the customer.

The majority of our Aptive Pest Control review catalog (read below) reveal that customers are happy with the great service they received and felt that the service technicians were attentive to their home's unique needs. Aptive employees are encouraged to be committed and passionate about their work, build a positive culture through kindness and loyalty, remember to give back, educate, improve daily, and deliver "wow" customer service. Aptive Pest Control Frequently Asked Questions

Is Aptive pest control safe?

Aptive’s goal is to provide customers with professional and effective pest control solutions that reduce the harmful effects of pests. Aptive uses EPA approved products and follows all guidelines for the appropriate use of the products. Aptive is also a member of the EPA’s Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program, a program that engages communities in building awareness and reducing pesticide risk.

What is the benefit of recurring pest control treatments vs one-time treatment as needed?

While pest treatments reduce the general pest population, over time pest populations build back up and treated surfaces lose their protective barrier. One-time treatment effectiveness fades fairly quickly for most pesticides on vegetation, especially as plants continue to grow, generating new untreated surface area, including lawns. We recommend recurring treatments to help manage ongoing activity in outdoor areas and on greenery. Certain areas like cracks and crevices, and non-porous surfaces can provide a stable surface for some products to last longer, however, UV light will degrade the treatment as well. Treatments to the structure of the home can last the longest but have little impact on the pest activity in the yard after a few weeks from one single treatment.

Do you offer interior treatment?

All of our services include exterior treatments with interior coverage when requested at no additional cost. The majority of our customers find that exterior maintenance keeps their home protected, but we are happy to treat inside your home and/or garage whenever you would like.

What if I still see bugs after a treatment?

If you are seeing pests right after your treatment, odds are you are witnessing them flee your property, which typically means the treatment is effective. If after a week you are still seeing pests, give us a call and our service professional will gladly return to treat your home at no additional cost.

What kinds of pests do you treat for?

Aptive treats common pests like ants, spiders, cockroaches, rodents, wasps, snails, flies, fleas, and ticks. Aptive does not treat any wood-destroying organisms such as termites (exceptions apply), carpenter bees, or carpenter ants. Aptive also does not treat any wildlife, such as squirrels, raccoons, chipmunks, rabbits, birds, deer, etc.

How long does the treatment take?

Your Initial Treatment and inspection typically take less than 60 minutes to complete, as our service professional does a full scan of your home and property to assess what products and treatments are best based on your needs. Standard Treatments, which are maintenance treatments, can usually be completed in less than 30 minutes.

I was hoping to work with the same technician by switching to Aptive. Our former pest control company was sending a different person and when I asked the salesman if Aptive scheduled the same tech each month, he said yes. I believe working with the same person is most effective in terms of knowing our properties needs. Aptive has sent a different technician each time since our contract started. They also use snap baited mouse traps, which is a concern with young grandchildren. Hoping it improves.

Hi Teresa,

We understand why having the same service professional matters to you, especially after that consistency was part of what you expected when choosing Aptive. Having to explain your property’s needs to someone new each visit can understandably be disappointing. We also hear your concern about the type of traps being used with young grandchildren around the home.

Thank you for giving Aptive the opportunity to earn your confidence. Please reach out to socialmedia@goaptive.com directly so we can review your service preferences and concerns and see how we can help make future visits feel more consistent and comfortable for your household.

Aptive salespeople came to my home. I told them I had a problem with gnats and chiggers this year. They assured me your company could treat for both pests. I have had 3 treatments since 12 May. It has not improved my pest issues. I will say I have had no problem with indoor pests since treatment began, but the yard pests continue. Scheduling has been an issue with 2 missed appointments with no communication - so, I cancelled things on my schedule for Aptive no-shows.

We’re glad the indoor treatments have made a noticeable difference, but we understand how discouraging it is when the outdoor activity you originally wanted help with is still causing problems, Tom. Having appointments missed without the communication you expected only adds to that frustration.

We’d like to review the specific pests you were told would be covered, the treatments completed so far, and your scheduling concerns so we can provide some clarity and determine how we can best help. Please email socialmedia@goaptive.com with your service address so we can take a closer look and work with you on the next steps. We hope to hear from you soon!

Tanner did a good job selling me you service. However, I did tell him I didn't want a monthly service only once a year. After one visit by your service man I tried to cancel the service without penalty but was told I would have to pay $199 or I could have them come once every three months which I agreed to. However, I have not received any confirmation to this agreement. In the meantime I have received a notice that the next service will be 8-19-26 which is omnly a month since the last service - not what I agreed to!

Have had this service for years with mixed feelings. My price has changed a few times. Service use to be once every 4 months (free treatment in between services if pests return). Then they changed it to once every 3 months so you get charged one extra time a year so they can make more money. They seem to have a high employee turnover as each time the tech comes out it is someone new. I have never had the same tech twice and I have to explain each time what to spray and what not to spray. I started to research other companies and found some almost half the cost that come out every 4 month with free re-spray in between if needed. Will probably switch soon.

Tech showed up outside of the morning schedule window from 0800-1200 on the day of so I was unable to facilitate them coming inside to spray, so a re-service will have to be done at a later date since they could only spray outside. This is not the first time that Aptive scheduling has been an issue. Suggest looking into how many services the techs are required to conduct within their allotted time, so that they can be successful with maintaining staying on schedule.

Assuming that what he sprayed will effectively treat bugs and spiders. I Thought this was going to be much more thorough—sprayed yard and most of outer perimeter and around base of house and lower window and along eaves in back and around garage. Totally MISSed patio and under deck(including house and windows under deck. Also missed front eaves along porch and posts and along porch roof and house along upper windows. Not sure what was addressed in driveway other than 2 ant hills. I paid for more than basic service! He was here less than 30 min start to finish. Not sure how knowledgeable the service technician was as he really just reviewed the pricing and asked no questions of me regarding spraying boundaries or what to include (interior garage, deck, etc) No contact after service.SO much more was included/ promised yesterday from Mitchell your sales rep.

My technician, Michael, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Aptive itself isn’t so great. They have a serious communication problem as a company. I can communicate with customer support just fine but they’re terrible at communicating with their technicians. I’ve experienced it several times already. If I call and request a service in my home they don’t try and accommodate your schedule automatically, which is problematic. How do they expect do a service inside your home if you won’t be there? I also learned half way through my service contract that aptive isn’t allowed to go into attics or crawl spaces.... where a lot of pest and rodent problems naturally exist. It’s really not worth the price if you feel like you need to hire another pest company to do what they can’t. But alas, it’s a 1 year contract. It’s perfect for people that like throwing money at non-existent problems. They will absolutely help you with that.

Jay came to our house on 10/26 and did a great job. Cameron (I think that was his name) came to our house to start service back in early July. He too did a good job. But, for some reason, our account was never activated in your system so we had no follow-up service. We recently have had an issue with ants in the kitchen and, of course, spiders everywhere (we're in the Seattle area). Since no one from Aptive called us to set up the quarterly visit, we had to reach out to Aptive. The first person we talked to said we were not in your system but that someone would call us back. No one called back so we had to call you yet again. The person who answered confirmed we were not in your system and asked what we wanted to do. Our response was that we wanted to do whatever would get one of your people out to our house the fastest. After more dithering, the person finally offered to set us up as a new account and said someone would be out the next day, Saturday, Oct. 24 between 8 and 12 and would treat the inside. On Saturday we got a call saying someone would be out on Monday, Oct. 26 between 8 and 12. We indicated we needed the inside treated because of the ants. We then started getting your robocall reminders saying that if we wanted the inside to be treated, we needed to call in to make an appt. for a specific time. We had already arranged for inside treatment twice and neither time were we given a specific time appt. As I said, Jay did a great job. After he left, we got an email asking us to rate his service and indicating he would get $5 for a good review. We clicked on the link to give him a good review but the link doesn't work, repeatedly. So, even though Jay did a great job and your company supposedly offers a premium for good service, your system doesn't allow us to submit the good review. So, Jay suffers. At this point, we're shaking heads about Aptive and your ability to provide good service as a company. Lack of attention to detail, no follow-up and poor problem-solving skills, confusing communications with links that don't work. Your customer support process needs significant work. One more hiccup and we'll be working with a new, local company.

Recent customer. Ive had 2 successfully services since signing up. My 3rd which would have occured on 10/7/2020 was a no show but i was billed for it anyway. Customer support was able to help get it resolved and a refund was submitted no questions asked. I also called customer support and they stated a technician was at my house at 1:30 that day. I work from home all day and i have cameras surrounding the house and verified nobody was at my house. Customer support stated that my service date of 10/7/2020 was actually too early and the technician may have actually clicked completed instead of canceled. Theres no real way to tell why this happened but customer support was able to help clear things up and get it refunded. Rating 3 stars since my last 2 services had no issues and customer support was able to help get this worked out without any arguing or issues.

Right now I’m not really satisfied with the customer service. Last month, my service was scheduled for the AM because of an appointment in the afternoon. I was told that the technician was scheduled between 8 and 12. At 12:15, I contact the sales rep and told him that I had not heard from the technician or the office, I informed him that I needed to reschedule. He told me that he would contact the office and inform them of the change. As I was getting ready to leave for my appointment, the technician arrived at my house. I told him that he was supposed to be notified that my service was to be rescheduled. He said that he could perform the service but I told him that I was unable to keep my dogs shut in until I returned from my appointment. Another thing I think needs to be addressed is the scheduling of appointments. I’m notified of my next appointment by text, which is fine. The problem is you only provide the day and not a specific period of time. I have to contact the office to see what time is available. Now, as far as the technician, he has always been curtious and pleasant to deal with. He let’s me know what he will be doing that specific day. Today, there were 2 techs, I was not introduced to the second one. He worked the front yard while the regular one did the side and back. Thank you

I like that the employees are courteous. I was very disappointed with the results of the May appointment. About two weeks after they treated my yard for snails and slugs, we had some rainy weather and all of a sudden there were snails and slugs everywhere. I was picking up between 100 and 150 snails and slugs every day for over a week. I would say that apparently your product was extremely ineffective. When I tried to contact you about this situation, I was put on hold for 10 to 15 minutes three times one day and two times the next day. I never did get to talk to a person. I think I am entitled to a 50% refund for that visit.

The sales associate who knocked on my door was professional, and mentioned that Aptive would be servicing a few of our neighbors later in the day. We've been considering hiring a pest control service for a few months, so his timing was good. My only complaint about the sales associate was that he was not wearing a mask when I opened the door, but he put it on upon request. When the technician showed up, he was not wearing a mask at all. I cannot speak to the thoroughness of the application of pesticide...time will tell. However, I am disappointed at the removal of spider webs from the property. I was told that this was part of the service, and though I saw the technician removing a few spiderwebs in random locations, there are still plenty that are visible, on every side of the house. Even the areas where he "removed them", the task was not completed thoroughly.

The service technician was great and did the job good. one of the complaints i have is that the sales person said that the technician come out 4 weeks in a row and the every quarter, would pull out the appliances and inspect and set traps, bait.. she also said he wold check in the attic and that too was not done. I was happy with the technicians service he was polite and efficient. we paid the $250 for this visit because she said we would get those extra weeks and pull out the appliances. If this is not true i would like to only pay the special rate she told us $99 for the first visit. I would like to cancel the contract without a penalty. please call me back

Daniel I was my technician today. He was very thorough and explained what he was going to do, hoping to solve my problems. I let him know how unhappy I was with the company, not him, because I called the office multiple times because of problems I was having with pests. I called on June 1, 2020 and was told they couldn't get me in for the additional service and was connected to scheduling. Scheduling told me they would call me back when they had an opening. On 15 Jul, I called again because my pest problem was worsening, but could only leave a message. I said I was upset because no one called me back and I was considering leaving Aptive, still, no one called me back. Yesterday, I received a call I had service due today so I decided to have the service and explain the problem to the technician. I was very satisfied with him (Daniel I). He also explained my contract is for quarterly service, but my previous service was in March, 4 months previously. At this time, I will stay with Aptive and see how it goes, but I won't hesitate to move to another company if there's no improvement.

I have such mixed feelings about our experience with this company so far, it was difficult for me to choose the appropriate rating. The first representative that came out to service our home was one of the most unprofessional individuals I have ever met. When Liam arrived he already had an attitude and seemed reluctant to be there. After letting him know that we had no real "problem" areas outdoors, I suggested he start at the front of our property and work his way along the back fence first and then I would show him into the house. My 6 year old daughter was with me and about to leave for her grandmother's house for a visit- I wanted to see her off before becoming more involved with the Aptive visit. Before I could say another word, Liam told me that he did not work outside AT ALL!! He told me they have a landscaping division that does yards but that he would not be doing anything around our property. There was no clarification offered or needed. I was fully aware that the representative was supposed to go around the perimeter and address any areas of concern AKA "spot checks" identified. I was not expecting him to do the entire yard and that never even came up! He simply and directly told me that he would not do ANYTHING outside. I told him there had been some miscommunication if that was the case, and called Jessica, who had originally sat down with us on speaker phone so there would be complete transparency. I told her what Liam said and she confirmed that the perimeter was supposed to be covered in addition to any spot checks mentioned. Liam then LIED and acted as if he planned to do just that when I wanted him to cover everything! The whole time he's being overly aggressive with his gestures, tone and over-all attitude directed at me. Since we clearly did not start on the right foot and I do not have to subject myself or my property to someone who is going to be that unprofessional, I asked if another representative could be sent out. Up to this point there has been no over the top exchange between anyone and I wanted to avoid that possibility. I was no longer comfortable with Liam and did not trust him to complete the job correctly. Jessica was extremely helpful and said there was no issue with sending someone else out. If anything, I figured Liam would appreciate this change as much as me, since he so obviously did not want to do the work he was supposed to do outside. INSTEAD he stomped off down my driveway to his vehicle yelling repeatedly, as loudly as he could, that we were racist!!!! I couldn't believe it. Meanwhile, my mom and daughter are standing there feet away about to leave so they witnessed everything!! Absolutely not acceptable. Nothing even remotely describes how disgusted I was with his behavior. It is hands down the most unprofessional thing I've ever experienced from a service representative. A different representative named Christopher was sent out and the job was completed thoroughly and without any further incident. So all in all, I feel like Aptive provides a wonderful service at a very reasonable price. We couldn't be more pleased with the $90/Qtrly offer they are currently extending to customers. Despite the horrendous initial experience, the situation was handled quickly and efficiently. I can only hope that Aptive supervisors take this review and the situation we encountered seriously and handle internal issues just as well.

Nathan T came to the house to do the extermination work this morning. Everything was fine until he told me that I owed $119 for the service. I was very confused because the young man who sold me the service told me that I would be getting my first application for $80 and after 30 days I would get a follow up treatment for free. Then, I would be charged quarterly for the service. This first visit was on June 5, 2020. I thought today was that 30 day follow up spraying that was included in the first charge. Nathan called his supervisor Paul N and explained the situation. First Paul told me I would have to pay $169 to get out of the contract. I was so frustrated that I was ready to pay the fee just to get out of the contract. Paul told me not to worry about it and waived the fee. Paul and Nathan were friendly so the rating does not reflect their service personally. When I first paid my $80 it took weeks for the company to stop sending me invoices even though I paid the company by check on the spot back in June. When I called the office number on the invoice, the phone rang and was never answered. I am concerned that now, I will still be sent invoices even though the manager Paul waived the fee. When I went to review Nathan, so he could get a $5 bonus, the link denied access. Next time, I would rather go with a company that has more of a track record. I thought I was helping a young man get his business started in a tough economy, but I should have gone with my instinct.

He seemed to have his spiel memorized pretty well. It was awkward - he didn't check in when he was done spraying, so my husband saw him drive away at one point and some other guys from the company were still working on other houses and we just never really saw him again. What's spurring this review is that we just found a ton of ants in our upstairs office... we were here last summer while we were renovating the house and we had food around and heat and everything and never saw ants in the house. We even had foster kittens in our office a month ago and during warm days and with kitten food just laying around in there and never saw ants. Today our desk was filled with ants. AFTER being sprayed. We're not overly pleased here.

First time anyone came out, it was great. Friendly, informative, all around great. However, nobody ever answers the phone. Maybe if I didn't have a job, or a family, I could sit on hold all day. Not to mention, nobody ever follows up with the customer. I got one call, that I missed, three days before my service, and they show up at my doorstep, but won't answer the phone when I call ten times. The voicemail even says to call if you have any questions. I had questions. I dont know how much longer I will continue paying so much money for less that great customer service. It's a competitive market, and it's no longer just about the product. For the record, I understand that, let's say you have 2,000 customers, theres no way all 2,000 are going to be happy with their experience... it just sucks when you're the one having the bad experience. I'll give Aptive a chance to improve.

The technician arrived earlier in the day then was scheduled, but that was fine. I explained to the technician that I had not been happy with past services and asked that all the wasps nests be cleared and I received a full yard spray and treatment for snails. When I noticed they had left, I went a checked and still found wasps nest under my eaves. I also found a great deal of live ants in my yard. I texted the technician to return and even tried calling. He failed to return or call me back. Your company provides inadequate service and a complete lack of follow up on complaints. I will be looking for another service company.

Less than impressed with my last treatment. I understand that they weren’t doing any interior treatments lately due to COVID. I asked if there was something that could be done to the inside (even if I did it myself) due to the fact that we had been seeing some pests inside the house. After getting it approved by someone in management, they scheduled the inside treatment. When the technicians (3 people) arrived, they knew nothing about the interior treatment. I told them I could show them the email and he said he would contact the office. After a little while he came back to the door and said he could do it but he didn’t have any shoe covers. I said he could just take off his shoes. He treated the common areas only and left. I also requested some additional sticky traps for the garage and some silverfish bait strips for inside the house which were not provided. I understand times are tough right now, which is why I give 3 stars I stead of 1 or 2.

The service technician (Shamar) completed the work according to the flyer left on my door, and according to the gentleman I spoke with over the phone after I noticed this email. According to the flyer, Shamar showed up earlier than scheduled, which is fine. However, it would've been great if he communicated to me by phone or at the very least, I expected for him to ring the door bell so we could chat about the issue, so now we missed the opportunity to communicate about the whole thing. I gave a similar feedback the last time they did their quarterly service, but it doesn't appear to be making a difference, which is unfortunate. I'm hopeful that the ant problem goes away as a result of this recent service.

I appreciate the ease of scheduling and the multiple service calls available to me. However, as for rodent control, the technician's expertise level varies significantly. At this point, I've had at least five different technicians come out to try to get rid of the random mice. It wasn't until I tried to get out of my contract that I was informed of all of the methods for rodent control available to me. A supervisor informed me of the bait boxes, attic inspection and copper mesh for the holes. By that point, I had two technicians already come out and lay glue traps. The next visits were glue traps, snap traps and bait boxes. In yesterday's visit, Jordan actually inspected my attic. He thoroughly inspected my garage where there had been activity. He discussed different methods and their possible outcomes. I honestly feel like he's the only one who addressed my concerns and didn't hesitate to do the job that's supposedly standard protocol. As a toddler's mother with OCD tendencies, a rodent in my home is unbearable.

Both the sales rep that signed us up and the tech that came out were extremely knowledgeable about your product and very friendly. The spraying itself did not go as well. The tech that came out could not reach one of the trouble spots we have for wasps. The person who signed us up said he would let scheduling know a ladder would be needed. She also said she was not allowed to stay any longer so she didn't do some of the spider webs (this could be because she tried to have us redo all the paperwork we had already done with the sales rep that came out). Come to find out she also didn't do our garage or even get all the wasp nests she could have reached. I was also sitting with the sales rep when he texted that we do not do text and not to call before 9:30 am. Someone tried to text me from your company ( I never can see the text sometime I can see a number) at 8:30 am. We also were told we would get a call when they were on the way to treat,we didn't get a call but we got a call from someone not as nice wondering where we were when the tech showed up and no one answered. Lucky our other business is next door. Many hornets nests on porch and ground were left. Not off to a great start.

Felt the technician went faster then normal. I has Requested previously to have garage sprayed and was told it was noted. When technician was asked he seemed surprised and only sprayed 1/3 of garage stating he could not get to base boards on other 2/3 of garage. This statement is not true as there are areas which do expose areas that CAN be sprayed without any barriers to prevent him from applying your product. I did Not want to argue with him so i called Your office to have a different tech return to properly spray my home and surrounding areas without it seeming like a race to leave. Would have felt better about service.

I was VERY HAPPY with William K, who provided the close attention to detail that I need. I live in a townhouse that has a deck, so requires access through the house to attend to almost the entire back half of the house. William also gave me advice on how to best schedule my appointments to they are on days I can be available. Additionally, he scoured the entire house outside, front and back, and eliminated all the myriad of spider webs that infest my house, I guess because it's so near a tidal basin parkland immediately behind my house. He was one of the most attentive agents I've had. Thank you, William!!

I've been a customer for over a year and felt the technicians that came to the home were not actually covering all of the areas they needed to be spraying. This summer has been a bit difficult due to extreme weather conditions so I was blowing it off when I started seeing excessive spider webs popping up all over outside. But then I started seeing spiders in the house. I called the company and a sked to speak with a manager and instead they sent one to my home. He was excellent. He cleaned all of the bushes above and beyond my expectations. He also treated them all as well as the treating the complete exterior. Then he offered to return in two weeks to ensure all issues have been resolved. He also brought another technician with him that treated the entire house, taking the extra time to move things away from the walls so everything was treated. My disappointment was quickly turned around into great appreciation. I had expected them to make excuses for the condition they found the property in but they agreed this was not acceptable and took the utmost care in ensuring a positive outcome.

Previous experiences have been great; however the most recent service and treatment application on April 29, 2020 could have been better. We understand due to the COVID 19 issue, the inside could not be treated; therefore, since the inside was not treated the spray treatment application outside should have been heavier to ensure and prevent any insects from getting inside the house. While both front and back porches were dusted, the back porch spray treatment was light and the front porch was not sprayed. Normally we see puddles on the porches where the spray treatment is done and we can see indications along the foundation where spraying was done, but not today. Based on previous experiences with Aptive, we were disappointed with the service treatment done on April 29, 2018.

The actual service was great. My complaint is more in concern to my dog. I don't know if the technician rang the doorbell and I didn't hear it, but I was not aware he was here. I went to take my dog out and saw the courtesy note. As I didn't know when it arrived, I thought he had been around earlier, thought nothing of it, and proceeded to take my dog outside. On walking a few steps out the door, I see his truck still in the drive way and realize that the outside had just been sprayed. I rush my dog back inside and had to spend the next 30 minutes inside with a 4 month old puppy who had to go outside. Every 5 seconds, she would walk back to the door, and I had to tell her no and pray she didn't have accident in the house. This could have been avoided had I been able to take my dog outside before he started treating. Also, I was lucky to see his truck. It would be nice if they did not get a response, the techs would put the 30 minute time for the safety of your customers' pets. Hopefully, this was not all for nothing as it started raining within 2 hours of the treatment.

My nanny was home when the Aptive technician came on 7/31. She felt very uncomfortable and uneasy with certain comments he was making to her - mainly the way he was addressing her. He would call her "dear" and "honey" although he was of similar age as her. You may not be surprised with someone much older addressing a young lady in this way, but he made her feel uncomfortable - especially she was in the house by herself with the baby and this young man. We would appreciate if he did not revisit our home again to do the services and/or if this can be addressed with him since he did tell her this was a new job for him. Thank you.

Our first technician wasn’t that great of an experience (the service that we were initially interested in and signed up for were not provided) and our second visit was scheduled for 30-45 days and we had no one contact us until we almost hit the 60 day mark. We were very content and appreciate Leslie G for going above and beyond with customer service. He gave us some feedback, closing gaps near our doorways and extra tips. He was very willing to listen to our needs and provided great service. Although it was 5pm by the time he stopped by, he had no rush and answered several questions we had. If we could choose a tech for a following visit we’d definitely chose Mr. G. Thanks!!

I waited till 5:30 pm and the house had not been sprayed, so the person came after I had to leave for a dinner appointment. I would have liked to have been there to talk to the person and ask him to hit a few areas , but that didn’t happen. I called earlier and talked with a lady and explained to her that the first treatment was done one June 3,2019 and I was told in your contract to me that to break the egg cycle it had to be done in 30 days and they never came back and the lady said your correct we made a mistake and she e mailed me a date for September 2, 2019 to break the egg cycle at no charge and was told I would get a $20.00 credit and I was still charged the regular fee of $127.33. I am happy that my bugs are for the most part gone, but not happy with the service and wouldn’t recommend Aptive and I hope on September 2 they can show up before 5:30 pm and I hope they honor and credit the $20.00 I was told I would receive.

I'm a bit frustrated. I went to go use my hose in the back yard and noticed the spider webs were not removed of that area behind the RV trailer that I pointed out with my sales man. Then went to the front yard and noticed the spray handle was removed and the rubber washer is now missing, then went to real the hose back in to the hose spool and noticed the entire spool handle was snapped off and broken. still sitting in the dirt. It may not be new and it may have been brittle but I would have at lest seen a note to say it was broke. I still see some spider webs that were missed. Felt like he did a not so good job.
