Very nice service guy. He did everything my wife requested and he was very polite. This was a return service due to the last guy seemed to not do a great job because we were seeing more spiders than we have in a long time. The service guy explained that using the straw was not the recommended procedure for the base boards which my wife said he used the straw through the complete house and very sporadic like here and there, for a constant line of good defense. He also said that the last guy used the wrong chemical that was normally used as a deterrent and not a killer. This all makes sense why we were seeing more spiders than ever. The last guy also told us that the inside of the house didn't need a lot of chemicals due to the fact that the spiders are outside and don't want to be in the house while temps were warmer during summer time. He said that's where the food was. My wife and I question that due to seeing so many spiders lately and last time we checked the temps are warm outside. I hope this will take care of these spiders.

Alfred came out and did a wonderful job. HE had to deal w/a huge paper wasp nest full of hundreds of wasps at a very difficult closed in area. He also had to deal w/mud wasps on the front porch and made sure to inspect property and found other regular wasps nests and took care of them. He did a wonderful job. NIce, professional, cordial. We called regarding small ants in the kitchen which come in when we get a ton of rain, an hour before he got there, no ants, his timing was perfect as we had an ant swarm in our kitchen a few minutes before he arrived. He put out lots of gel bate in the kitchen, just not in one area like other techs and also did the outside window as it seemed they may had been coming from around window siding. We are always happy to see Alfred as he is always professional, courteous of our home and careful not to track dirt or bugs inside. He's an asset to your company! Thank you, Jill and Greg Sater

Today I elected to get my second home serviced also to help eliminate the bug problem there. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the care and attention to detail that Lenzy provided. He covered all the bases in a most professional manner. And because of the additional challages I face in this older, garden setting home in McKinney’s Historic District the value of his attention to detail is appreciated to a higher level with the control of pests. I all of a sudden have a rat problem inside my house. I called last evening and your service technician came very early this morning and professionally helped me with the situation. He explained what he was doing and why. He also explained about rats and their habits. On his way out he also knocked down all of the visible wasp nests that have grown on my back covered deck. My technicians name was Adam. He gave me a reasonable explanation about what to expect and how we might solve this problem. I appreciated his patience with me as I was definitely feeling uncomfortable in this situation of having a rat inside my house. I suppose I should also mention that as a customer of Aptive this extra service call was absolutely free.

Josh was very thorough and very professional. He listened to my concerns, and treated all of the areas that I requested of him. He was considerate of not spraying my blooming flowers so he wouldn’t hurt the bees. I’m giving him the five star review, but holding my opinion of how well the product works until I can see the results. This was my first treatment. I have been a customer of Another company That I have been quite happy with. The only reason I switch to active was because of the pricing. I reserve judgment on its performance until I can see the results. When I called into talk to customer service I was disappointed to only have a recording and be told that someone would get back to me before tomorrow that is not OK with me. I give Josh the five stars but not the company so far.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They will make you sign several contracts in order to get you trapped. The price is already steep, so the early cancellation fee of $200 is salt in the wound. You must pay monthly even if they do not provide services every month. Recently they billed me an extra $431.42 just to refill rat traps that didn’t need refilling. For context, the monthly payment is $85.42. This should have covered the process done today because I have been subscribed to this service since May of 2025. The last time they came to my home 1/23/2026. And got billed $431.42, I’ve trying to log into my account, however their website is undergoing maintenance. Do not use this company they are not honest.

Were it possible to leave 0/5 stars that would have been my rating. Aptive is currently under investigation for the death of my dog and a neighbor's dog. I was told by the persistent salesperson, well a lot of things, first, and most importantly that their products are safe around pets and children. THIS IS NOT TRUE THEY ARE NOT PET SAFE! The bait they use to kill smaller animals, like mice and other rodents, is a 2nd generation anticoagulant rodenticide, call difethialone, you will see it on your statements of what was used, The 2nd generation means it is more powerful than then the difethialone that used to be used. It is extremely toxic whether your animal eats the bait itself or from eating an animal that ate the bait. Our bait boxes, which I didn't ask to be used by the way, I wanted spiders and ants gone, every single month were moved. Something, bigger than a mouse, was moving them 15-30 feet, all of them and I would inform the techs and they just refilled them and put them back, because they would be open and empty. Finally on the 4th month of this, the 4th month, they staked them down, and I still didn't know what the lethal toxic ingredient was until I finally received the statement I should have from the technician and I read the word. I know of it from a dog that ate some of a bait cube once and it killed him, so I knew the moment I read the word what it was and it is, nor has it ever been, considered safe for animals. Do you have an outdoor cat that kills birds, because this stuff is extremely lethal in birds, then you could have a dead cat on your hands and no idea why. Always look at what is being put on your property, down to the finest detail. And...they told me, because this was NOT IN MY CONTRACT, that they don't have to listed what pesticides they use in the contract, and in fact they did not or I would have seen it and never signed up in the first place, which I did just to get rid of the sales guy who wouldn't stop coming by my house. Aptive, as in it's owner's David Royce, Vess Pearson and stake holder Citation Capital are making millions off of "PET SAGE" tags to it's service, and in the meantime they are killing our pets, with no concern whatsoever. I reported to the company, who never even apologized for the loss, except the summer salesman who signed me up, he was who relayed the pet safe, because that is what the company told him. They aren't even honest with their employees. One employee told me that when they do her property they use a way stronger solution because otherwise it isn't effective. She was a horribly insensitive woman who only called to let me know they would not be charging me the $199 contract cancellation, how sweet, they wouldn't refund the other months of service though, and so the credit card company will handle that and because no one took the concern to heart in the least, I had zero reassurance it would be looked into, so I reported them to the State of Colorado Department of Agriculture. No one will understand how much you love your pets more than you will, and they will act accordingly. Plus, their employees never had any protect gear on when handling the bait, no masks, gloves, nothing, except when they came in your home they put booties on so they did not track in dirt. The very least of my concerns. They took them off when they left the house and went to spray and refill bait boxes. Had I thought about it I would have gotten pictures of the employees without protective gear, but I did have photos of the bait boxes moved, quite a distance, even after staking them and reporting that to the company who took no action to keep it from reoccurring. How many animals died because of it, I guess we will never know, and neither does Aptive. No consideration was given for the cost to put down my animals or the agony of losing them, not even an apology from anyone who actually still works for Aptive. What a company huh?

My experience with Aptive Pest Control was disappointing due to unclear information regarding pricing and cancellation terms. At the time of enrollment, I was told that the service could be canceled at any time, which influenced my decision to sign up. When I later attempted to cancel, I learned that there were cancellation fees and contract terms that had not been clearly explained at the start. Had this information been communicated more clearly, I would have made a different decision. I encourage others considering this service to ensure all pricing and cancellation details are fully explained and provided in writing before enrolling.

In September, an Aptive rep came door-to-door and sold me on one single treatment with immediate cancellation. I paid what I understood was a one-time fee. Then Aptive scheduled/attempted another visit the following month with about 30 minutes notice, which I never agreed to. Since then, I’ve been trying to cancel for over 30 days. To make it worse, their “customer service” email doesn’t even receive emails. When I finally reached customer service by phone to cancel, I was told I was actually enrolled in a “Pro plan” for $120/month — something I did not knowingly sign up for. The service technician then tried to “discount” it to $80 (what I paid the first time), and when I again said cancel, he told me there’s a $199 cancellation fee and that he would be invoicing me. This whole experience has been exhausting and feels intentionally designed to trap customers into recurring billing and fees they never agreed to. Terrible customer service, misleading sales tactics, and aggressive cancellation practices. I do not recommend Aptive to anyone.

I purchased a home to rehab that was empty but had fleas. I paid a onetime service fee of $323.67. They came out on time and sprayed the home. I told the technician that the house is completely empty and to spray heavy. The house was fine for 3 days then I started noticing the fleas again. I called Aptive and requested that they come back out and spray again. They told me I would have to sign a 1-year contract in order for them to come kill the fleas I had already paid to have killed. They said this happens sometimes and they will just come every few weeks until they are gone. I declined because no one told me this when I paid for the one-time service. The rep on the phone told me he couldn't approve them to come back out, and his manager would review and call me back. That was 2 weeks ago, and no one have bothered to call. I would not recommend Aptive at this point. Why offer one time service on empty homes with no pets and not kill the fleas? why not just tell me you don't care instead of telling me someone would call me back to resolve the issue? I didn't ask for any money back or anything additional. Just kill the fleas I paid to have killed.

I never do these reviews. Ill be quick. 2 stars representing the 40 percent of experience that was good so far. They like many other places may do well, like places that dont have pests to begin with. You do NOT receive what the sales personnel say you will receive. I gave them a solid chance. I asked about being unsatisfied with the product am I allowed out of the contract with no termination. I was told yes. However, this place apparently exterminated that part from the sales guys verbal agreement with me. This said, I was I want to say I still have ants. I was also informed if I'd like to see the bees gone I would have to remove the nest and give it to them. Im not kidding. 1 star will not get anyone's respect enough to read this so I'm hoping a 2 star saves some hassles for someone. I still need to find a company for my basic needs, I think you should too. I've no problem paying for services, but I guess I see it like this. I pay someone to fill my car up with fuel, second time I stop by for the same service, I get half a tank. When I reach out to explain this isnt going to work, I get told to kick rocks basically. If I'd like to buy fuel elsewhere, I'm also obligated to pay them an out fee of 200 to shop elsewhere. You will NOT be allowed to cancel even with shitty service, dont listen to the sales people. Move along to a more reputable long term solution. This company does not offer that.

He was very knowledgeable about the product and why it was needed in certain places of the yard. I've lived all over the world, and goos customer service is hard to come by. Pros- So far they have kept their word. Seem to have a working product, and so far good customer service like you don't see much these days. Cons - You must ask for a supervisor many times over before the call center will transfer you to someone who's in the States and English speaking; this is the better customer service. You rarely get the same service guys. I feel like with all companies, the more the same guy comes, the more they want to please you and take pride in the service they do at your house instead of them seeing someone new and explaining everything all over to the new guy!

Technician was courtesy and very helpful. I had a sudden big issue inside my home and happened to have an appointment for my quarterly spray. Not only was he able to spray and treat the infested area but also installed a plug that can help in other areas as well. He explained what to expect in the next few days and how to treat the pests for the next few days.

Came to the door and spoke to me about what specifically I was noticing and needed focused on, the helped me get rid of some of the smaller spider spots in the house before going to work on the outside. He spoke with me about what wet weather treatment would look like and overall left a very positive impression. I am so satisfied with my service today and still think I made the right choice for my house, my family and my pets, with Aptive.

Today the exterminator was awesome! He provided me with information and education that no one has given me in the time that I've been using this company. He took his time to treat every room in my home, provided me with mosquito treatment, put out fresh baits and traps throughout my home, and addresses my concerns of water bugs and moths as well by treating the outside. He was also very professional and very respectful and friendly. One of the best exterminators I've had thus far!

Eusebio was hands down the best aptive representative that was highly professional at the work. He worked his way to interior and put good amount of detailed work outside for the ants and wasp issues we had going on. He worked with no supervision. He found the issues himself, applied treatment all over and made sure our home is ready for the winter season. Highly recommended!!

Travis, the pest control tech then texted me giving me an approximate arrival time. Finally, he texted me when complete and sent pics of the service area. With a very busy schedule. I would just like to say Steven has been absolutely amazing. I have had other techs on-site and my security cameras have caught them servicing my property for about 4-5 minutes then leaving. Every time Steven has been assigned to my property I know the full treatment will be completed and I have nothing to worry about. If I could have Steven assigned to my property for all service visits I definitely see my self renewing my service contract when it expires. As mentioned if Steven was assigned for all my visits I would have no issues giving aptive a 5 star rating in every aspect.

They definitely take care of any problem you have. They also take care of mosquitoes and voles which have been a huge problem but with there services I haven’t seen any and I can enjoy my yard now. I love that they treat for aphid and snails and I definitely see the difference in my flower garden, they look so beautiful! I recommend one hundred percent to anyone looking for pest control!

I had an absolutely great experience with Customer Service Mgr Kenna P. I was actually leaving Aptive, and Kenna attempted to keep me around. But she did it in such a polite nice way that I stayed. She listened to my concerns, addressed any open issues, and made herself available until I was satisfied. Again, my initial goal was to leave and find another service, but I now know that you don't get this type of customer service from other competitors. I'm staying with Aptive (plus my complaints were minor). Great job Kenna P and the entire Aptive Team!

I was out of town and my daughter was home. I was so concerned but my concerns were unfounded. The person who came out was extremely professional and was very courteous to my daughter. She said she at no time felt unsafe. Huge plus for me as I was in Lubbock worrying. He made sure my gates were locked to prevent my fur babies from getting out and even sent pics of what he did. They do a fantastic job of letting you know when they will be coming out, the tech for that visit always knocks at the door at their arrival and lets us know they are there. They ask if there are any specific bugs you are having difficulty with and ensure that the treatment include spray to target that type of bug. Everyone I have worked with has been very kind and professional.

I’ve been using Aptive for about 4 years now. When we first moved into our home we discovered we had a HUGE ant problem, and tons of widow spiders all around the property. Couldn’t get rid of them no matter what. Called Aptive and the ants were GONE after the first visit and the spider sightings are few and far between now. And I know that if I do get any unwelcome pests that show up between scheduled service appointments, all I have to do is call and they’ll be there at no extra charge. The service technicians are always friendly, knowledgeable and courteous.

Beaumont was very professional and friendly. He made sure all the corners were swept, and the wasp nests were destroyed. I’m allergic to the strings so I’m always worried about the little buggers. He made sure the wasps and spiders were gone. You can send him to do my residence anytime. You are very lucky to have such a conscientious employee in your organization.

Very courteous; great communication to advise me of when they will be here a few days before and the day of. Plus the technician will call the day of application to give you an estimated time. The most important experience is that there are no spiders, stink bugs, etc, in my house since they spray around the perimeter of my house. Their service is well worth the price.

I had some questions about my new service. The local Tulsa office was friendly and helpful. Chris, the person who came out to treat my property, was very professional. He explained my service and what he would be doing to treat my property. Chris was friendly and pleasant even though he had treated my property outside in 100° weather.
