Wide Range of Targeted Pests

Aptive pest control products specialize in eradicating almost any conceivable pest problem:

  • Ants — A number of different types of ants may find their way into your home. Whether it is the Argentine Ant, Fire Ant, Odorous Ant, Pavement Ant, Pharaoh Ant, or Thief Ants it is likely that they are looking for food or water that may have been spilled in the kitchen. It is important to remember that where there is one ant, there is an entire colony. Aptive's pest control products help kill not only the ants that venture into your home, but the entire colony.
  • Cockroaches — Similar to ants, a number of different types of cockroaches exist in the United States. Some include: The American Cockroach, Brown Banded Cockroach, German Cockroach, oriental Cockroach, and Smokybrown Cockroach. I heard a very aggressive knock at my door, thinking it was a neighbor needing something, I immediately opened it. That was my first regret. I had the “pleasure” of dealing with someone who questioned if I was the owner of the home with a certain tone, didn’t introduce himself or ask me for my name and went into his whole song and dance without me getting a word in. I gave every hint that I was busy and needing to leave…out of the blue he asked if I’d want treatment today, even after telling him I’m already on a monthly payment with a different company. Upon telling him I wasn’t interested at this time, he didn’t thank me for my time and rudely left. If you want someone’s business, I highly suggest you make someone feel appreciated and well informed…not rip their current decisions on pest control and act like it’s surprising that you’re in fact the home owner. Try to be more Adaptive and less “Aptive”

I have been an Aptive customer now for 3 or 4 years. I used to have spiders and ants in my home. Since having Aptive it is a rarity to see any spiders (yes, I know they're good for the environment, but I don't like them in my house!) I have never seen any ants is the home si ce they have been treating my house. When I have seen any insects, I have called them and they return without any extra charge. The reports I receive includes photos of all the areas they treat, including my detached garage. They cover all they way around the foundation, any portals that connect from inside to out (dryer vents, lighting, water outlets, etc) and around windows and doors as well. They cover all areas! And once or twice -or whenever needed- they come inside and treat my basement. Always professional with reminders at least 2 days before they come that they are arriving. On the day they arrive, I usually get a 30 - 90 minute ETA text from the technician. And there have NEVER been any hidden fees, surprise charges, nor any pressure to add services. Aptive is a top-notch business.

Con artists, the sold my wife a one time service and if we liked it we could sign up. The copy and pasted her signature on 2 year premium contract and signed us up for auto pay. After many calls and threat of legal action we got out of it. 💯 illegal what they did. Do your research and you will see nothing but bad and illegal tactics from this shitty company

Every technician who has come out to my house over the past several years has been super accommodating and dedicated to addressing concerns. Today it was Moe and Marcus has been the most frequent technician. I generally struggle with adulting skills like household management. I am typically busy and do not always have time to advise/communicate concerns. But my mom who expects a lot has been impressed with each technician's attention to detail and the time they spend on the property during her stays. I highly recommend Aptive especially if you want a reliable and trustworthy company that you do not need to micromanage!!!

I had the sales representative stop by my house on Saturday. He promised that the people would visit every month during the warmer months and less often when it go cold. He stated that they now spray three feet up from the base boards around the perimeter, and he stated that they spray at the top where they dust away the spider webs. When the tech showed up he presented the contract, the price quoted by sales covered nothing promised and the tech stated that none of the procedures I described were true. The sales rep said they prided themselves in communication and gave a big speech about it, but every word that came out of his mouth turned out to be false. If this is the Aptive way of trying to secure business, they are going to have trouble moving forward. The sales guy promises one thing, then the tech shows up a few days later and says "Hey, you forgot to go over the contract with sales. Here it is."... and then the paperwork is nothing what the sales team promised. Very dishonest. Luckily I was able to send the guy away before he did any work. This was in San Jose, CA on May 17th, 2025 when this all happened.

Very disappointed with customer service representative. Call in today to decide not to continue my service with Aptive Environmental. Well during call I was told I have to meet my 2-year agreement. My reply was I've had service with you for over 3 years. Only thing I ever did was call for a lower price. Which when I made this call I got locked back into a 2-year agreement apparently without my knowledge. Closed out my old account and started a new one. Further both the representative on the call and her manager told me I only had one contract with them the excising one. Manager boldly said give me the old account number then. Which they had no idea that they were talking with career Human Resources representative. I keep a copy of everything. Now once I read the old account number to them miraculously the manager had the ability to find my old account. Now this is after she Boldly told me she looks in all locations for my name, email address, and phone number. To add more insult after all this I still have to pay the penalty to leave a service I never signed up for again. Good luck, but after this today I recommend keeping copies of everything you can with Aptive Enviornmental.

The door-to-door salesperson who showed up at my home was overly pushy and took far too long to come to terms with the fact that I was not interested in signing a contract. My interaction with him (the most uncomfortable one I've had with a door-to-door salesperson) makes me completely uninterested in considering Aptive in the future. Some of his comments and questions were irrelevant, unnecessary, and as was the case with a previous reviewer (Danielle C), disrespectful towards women. When I made it clear that I don't make decisions like signing pest control contracts without discussing with my wife first, his response to attempt to get me to sign something immediately was "if there's one thing I know about the ladies, it's that they don't like bugs and they like a good deal", and "you have a mortgage and car payments, this is just pest control, man". At one point, he even asked me to go get my credit card, and no salesperson has ever said that to me before. Nor has any salesperson before this one ever asked me where I'm from. I understand that there's always going to be an element of pushiness with this sales approach and it can often yield success, but my honest feedback to Aptive would be to examine the potential detrimental impact going about this without sufficient tact can have on their business.

Pros- So far they have kept their word. Seem to have a working product, and so far good customer service like you don't see much these days. Cons - You must ask for a supervisor many times over before the call center will transfer you to someone who's in the States and English speaking; this is the better customer service. You rarely get the same service guys. I feel like with all companies, the more the same guy comes, the more they want to please you and take pride in the service they do at your house instead of them seeing someone new and explaining everything all over to the new guy!

Dishonest business practices. 1. Since the initial contract, Aptive has raised the monthly cost of my service and provided no supportive documentation for why or when. 2. Now again they are attempting the increase the monthly cost with no notice or explanation. They just indicate a higher cost on the account. 3. My contract was for quarterly appointments but they use an automated system that schedules appointments every 2 months and the system makes it impossible to reschedule to achieve a quarterly schedule.

Technician was courtesy and very helpful. I had a sudden big issue inside my home and happened to have an appointment for my quarterly spray. Not only was he able to spray and treat the infested area but also installed a plug that can help in other areas as well. He explained what to expect in the next few days and how to treat the pests for the next few days.

Came to the door and spoke to me about what specifically I was noticing and needed focused on, the helped me get rid of some of the smaller spider spots in the house before going to work on the outside. Today the exterminator was awesome! He provided me with information and education that no one has given me in the time that I've been using this company. He took his time to treat every room in my home, provided me with mosquito treatment, put out fresh baits and traps throughout my home, and addresses my concerns of water bugs and moths as well by treating the outside. Eusebio was hands down the best aptive representative that was highly professional at the work. He worked his way to interior and put good amount of detailed work outside for the ants and wasp issues we had going on. He worked with no supervision. He found the issues himself, applied treatment all over and made sure our home is ready for the winter season. Highly recommended!!

Travis, the pest control tech then texted me giving me an approximate arrival time. Finally, he texted me when complete and sent pics of the service area. With a very busy schedule. Excellent service. Very affordable pest control service and very good at what they do. Absolutely the best pest control company we have ever worked with through the years. Works really well with our busy schedules and doesn’t require anyone to be home to keep our yard and exterior free of fire ants and flying insects such as wasp. Highly recommend company. I have been using Aptive for about a year now so I feel it’s appropriate to comment. It’s breaks my heart that some of you have felt like you have been Scammed. Reading some of these comments it sounds like the company might have to do a better job vetting some of the people that they work with. However with that being said the representative that I worked with was professional, kind, not too pushy and was very honest. He gave me a good deal and helped make it more affordable on the books. Since then I have been treated a total of 6 times and every time has been awesome. I’ve have seen three different technicians and they have all done a very very thorough job making sure my service matched the expectations of the dude that knocked on my door. I haven’t felt locked into anything that I didn’t know I was signing up for and I haven’t felt the need to cancel. And that being said I was pretty skeptical spraying anything that will kill the bugs but not hurt anything else. I truthfully didn’t think it would work. The service has met my expectations that my Rep gave me for the $174/treatment that I am paying. I’ve actually tipped Stephen the last two services for exceptional work. The point is, I do not feel like going to bad reviews is always the best way to judge whether a service is good or not. I feel like my experience has been exceptional! I’d say give em a go. Even with low expectations The worst that could happen is your expectations are met and the best thing that could happen is that your problem is actually solved. And that is good enough for an old construction worker like me. I will say this though. I wish you guys did termites. I have been having some issues with them and I’d love to give you guys my business but the other day when I called to ask for an inspection I was told that for now I’d have to go with someone else. Well everyone has to have a fatal flaw I guess.

By far the rudest door to door salesman we’ve ever had knock at the door. He was so pushy, and even after my husband telling him we weren’t interested, he came back to harass us again today. I would never do business with a company that hired such pushy sales people. Borderline harassment.

I went with this company thinking everything would be okay, first off they don't come like i was told initially from the start, I was told they would come back every week if they had to make sure we were bug free, everything sounded good to you signed that contract, and then the attitudes come from the office from their customer service reps, I had issues with spiders and had lots of issues with mosquitoes I contacted them I was told they'd be back in 2 to 3 weeks I said I was told you guys would come back to the very next week if it wasn't fixed that wasn't the case, they're rude and just want money and that's all they really care about, they talked me into putting down some snake stuff some brown powder I asked him several times even the office this is safe for pets am I correct they stated it was my dogs got into it I guess around the yard but he really wasn't around the yard that they got into it their tech left a black bucket full of it behind my house I found that later on when my dogs were drinking out of it after it rained one of my dogs passed away wasn't exactly sure what it's from wasn't worth trying to figure it out, the other one was vomiting for almost 4 days we were so scared that we were going to lose him thank God we didn't, I contacted them and let him know their answer was well it's supposed to be snake away and it is safe for your dogs so we don't understand what happened we'll just take it off your bill still charge me for that one session. What's to be honest with you did nothing because we did find a copperhead underneath our deck thank God we were able to use a stick and get rehome him to the woods , this has been one nightmare and then they hold over your head at 200 bill I wonder if they want to pay the vet bills. I definitely would stay away from these guys they're not professional they don't seem to know what they're doing.

Aptiv had been overall hit or miss for us. We get some great technicians and service at times (recommend Sasha!) and other times the service has been really bad (technicians trying to come very late at night to do a treatement, missing appointments, being disconnected when on the phone line or long wait times). I hope the company rewards its good employees and continues to improve!

The specialist that came (Cam) was smart , ok nsightful and crazy helpful in pointing out areas of concern with my new house and how bugs are getting in! Calling my HOA asap!
