Wide Range of Targeted Pests

  • Ants — A number of different types of ants may find their way into your home. Whether it is the Argentine Ant, Fire Ant, Odorous Ant, Pavement Ant, Pharaoh Ant, or Thief Ants it is likely that they are looking for food or water that may have been spilled in the kitchen. I purchased a home to rehab that was empty but had fleas. I paid a onetime service fee of $323.67. They came out on time and sprayed the home. I told the technician that the house is completely empty and to spray heavy. The house was fine for 3 days then I started noticing the fleas again. I called Aptive and requested that they come back out and spray again. They told me I would have to sign a 1-year contract in order for them to come kill the fleas I had already paid to have killed. They said this happens sometimes and they will just come every few weeks until they are gone. I declined because no one told me this when I paid for the one-time service. The rep on the phone told me he couldn't approve them to come back out, and his manager would review and call me back. That was 2 weeks ago, and no one have bothered to call. I would not recommend Aptive at this point. Why offer one time service on empty homes with no pets and not kill the fleas? why not just tell me you don't care instead of telling me someone would call me back to resolve the issue? I didn't ask for any money back or anything additional. Just kill the fleas I paid to have killed.

We’ve been using Aptive Pest Control for over a year now. I would prefer that HQ send the same service people over, as they become more responsive and aware of our property and needs. That said, I’ve had no issues so far. Today, Antoine was our service rep and after he listened to my concerns with fall coming- he went above and beyond to make sure our home and property are protected and ready for the season. I would like to commend Casey for a job well done. She texted me before her visit to let me know when she was. I replied to her text and mentioned that I have recently had a problem with house flies. When she arrived, she sprayed around windows and on other trouble spots. She then gave me instructions on things to do after she left. Next she treated the outside of my house as is usually done. I was impressed by Casey's excellent communication skills and knowledge of pest control procedures. I rate her work 10/10.

Absolutely terrible company! Has more than 1200 complaints with the BBB and a 1 star yelp review! And as a former customer, I can tell you the poor reviews are 100% accurate!! My home was overrun with bugs! The number left with me when I agreed to the service was never answered nor were text messages responded to. When I finally got in touch with customer service they were incredibly rude, talking over me and disregarding everything I said. When it became obvious that I could not continue using this company due to their poor product and terrible customer service, I called to cancel. The customer service agent apologized for the poor service, stated she had stopped my service, removed my credit card information and told me she would have a manager reach out to "make things right." This was in July. In October, I still haven't heard from any manager, but my card starts being charged again and I get a message that they have scheduled my service. I call and am told my service was never cancelled and that if I want to cancel I have to pay $199.......I have to pay money because your service is terrible?!?!?! What?!?!?! Not happening. Ask again to have my credit card information deleted and request a refund for the money charged to my card in October after canceling my service in July. Not only was the fraudulent charge not refunded, but about two weeks later they charge my card $199! The card I had asked to have removed from my account back in July! Crooks. Looking to cheat people out of their hard earned money. Wish I had been smart enough to read reviews before I agreed to try their services!

I was in a quarterly plan with this company for quite sometime paying $185 per quarter. I don’t have any complaints about their technicians who were all very nice. My issue started when one of their salesmen came to my door & misled me into signing up for their mosquito treatment add on, which he told me would only add an additional $10 to my bill.. so I agreed to the service. Suddenly I was shocked to realize when looking through my credit card statements, that they started charging me $196 per MONTH since July! That’s a lot more than an extra $10 each quarter! Then when I called to complain, they refused to issue me a refund for those charges, so I cancelled. Now they lost a loyal long time customer… and unfortunately I’m also like $600 poorer. Not a loss I can easily afford. I definitely do not recommend this company and their shady sales tactics. This was a lesson for me to make sure to always read the fine print & not believe the words some salesperson tells me.

I purchased their service for my elderly mother, who had plans to move in the next few months, but wanted something to take care of the bugs she was seeing. I told the salesperson that she would be moving in a few months, and he told me that I could cancel the contract whenever, no problem. He forgot to mention it would cost us $200 if we cancelled within 2 years. Mom's on SS, so I guess I'm eating that. Then the person who was supposed to cancel the service, never cancelled it, and a technician came out to the house. Hopefully they don't charge me for that - I will dispute it. All I can say is beware of the bait and switch sales pitch and make sure you're ready to be locked in.

Aptive is good at getting 5* reviews because the one thing they are excellent in is sending reviews. I do think customers are happy in the beginning with their service. We have been customers of Aptive for over a year now and are locked into a contract. It is not cancel whenever (as advertised on some platforms). We have to pay out our 2 year contract in order to cancel. We pay roughly $130 each time they come and they come every 30-40 days (not what I was sold when signing up). Their solution does not get rid of the insects and critters. We still have all kinds. Whatever you do, don't ask them to treat for mosquitos because you pay extra (which they don't tell you) and it is like sugar water. Fortunately, I was able to cancel the mosquito add-on. Aptive is a well-oiled machine. They have smooth salesmen that make it sounds like a great company. I

I truly hope that no ones falls for the bad service this company provides. I let them know multiple times the service did not work and actually made some problems worse. Then on one of the appointments the tech shows up, my friend was trimming the bushes went inside to get out of their way. When they went back outside as they were leaving the clippers were gone with them! One of the appointments they claimed to have come out they never showed up. And to add insult to injury when i called to cancel this sorry service with them they still charged me $199.00! I talked them about this twice with no resolve. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS COMPANY AND IT'S SORRY CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I have been an Aptive customer now for 3 or 4 years. I used to have spiders and ants in my home. Since having Aptive it is a rarity to see any spiders (yes, I know they're good for the environment, but I don't like them in my house!) I have never seen any ants is the home si ce they have been treating my house. When I have seen any insects, I have called them and they return without any extra charge. The reports I receive includes photos of all the areas they treat, including my detached garage. They cover all they way around the foundation, any portals that connect from inside to out (dryer vents, lighting, water outlets, etc) and around windows and doors as well. They cover all areas! And once or twice -or whenever needed- they come inside and treat my basement. Always professional with reminders at least 2 days before they come that they are arriving. On the day they arrive, I usually get a 30 - 90 minute ETA text from the technician. And there have NEVER been any hidden fees, surprise charges, nor any pressure to add services. Aptive is a top-notch business.

This company is not trustworthy. The sales man told me that my plan is to for them to spray every 40-50 days, but in reality, they sprayed every two months. In addition, they told me there is no penalty if you cancel the plan, after 8 months, I really do not see effective result, there are still bugs on the windows, so I tried to cancel it, they charged me $200!!! For early cancelation. Never use it, either the salesman or the company is lying.

The customer service representative that answered my phone call was very professional but could not resolve my issue. Aptive team was very unprofessional and provided me with very poor service and accordingly I requested to stop the service. Aptive team did not care about my concern and only cared about one outstanding bill. I paid that bill although I have not receive any service at that time. Now Aptive is repeating the same thing and posting another bill without any service received. It’s a vicious cycle Aptive keeps scheduling service visits although I called them many times advising them not to send any technician to my house but they keep posting invoices on my acount for about ~$49 without any service provided and keep asking me to pay to clear my balance. Unbelievable business.

I never do these reviews. Ill be quick. 2 stars representing the 40 percent of experience that was good so far. They like many other places may do well, like places that dont have pests to begin with. You do NOT receive what the sales personnel say you will receive. I gave them a solid chance. I asked about being unsatisfied with the product am I allowed out of the contract with no termination. I was told yes. However, this place apparently exterminated that part from the sales guys verbal agreement with me. This said, I was I want to say I still have ants. I was also informed if I'd like to see the bees gone I would have to remove the nest and give it to them. Im not kidding. 1 star will not get anyone's respect enough to read this so I'm hoping a 2 star saves some hassles for someone. I still need to find a company for my basic needs, I think you should too. I've no problem paying for services, but I guess I see it like this. I pay someone to fill my car up with fuel, second time I stop by for the same service, I get half a tank. When I reach out to explain this isnt going to work, I get told to kick rocks basically. If I'd like to buy fuel elsewhere, I'm also obligated to pay them an out fee of 200 to shop elsewhere. You will NOT be allowed to cancel even with shitty service, dont listen to the sales people. Move along to a more reputable long term solution. This company does not offer that.

Every technician who has come out to my house over the past several years has been super accommodating and dedicated to addressing concerns. Today it was Moe and Marcus has been the most frequent technician. I generally struggle with adulting skills like household management. I am typically busy and do not always have time to advise/communicate concerns. But my mom who expects a lot has been impressed with each technician's attention to detail and the time they spend on the property during her stays. I highly recommend Aptive especially if you want a reliable and trustworthy company that you do not need to micromanage!!!

Was charged four times and provided service twice. CANCELLED my service and Aptive said there is a $199 cancellation fee. NOT RECOMENDING - APTIVE for you pest control needs.

Please do not use this company. I signed a service agreement to handle a pesky Yellow jacket problem. The company did multiple treatments without any results, if anything it just made the hive angry. We called out another company and the Yellow jacket infestation was handled within 24 hours. Now upon attempting to cancel my agreement they are charging me a $199 cancelation fee.

They put in so much effort to not do their job. The first service was amazing, everything following has been like pulling teeth. I have to call them (roughly 2-3 times weekly) to get an appointment scheduled, and they don’t offer recurring appointments to be scheduled. When the technicians finally do come out they sweep spider webs so it “looks” like they did something and then leave. No spraying, no treatments, no anything. I have spiders/ ants/ stink bugs/ mice & rats/ etc. that I have taken care of by myself because Aptive can’t be bothered to do their job

I was text a message from Aptive pest control that they were sending out a tech to spray again. They said I signed a contract for services I did not agree upon on the day I spoke with the sale representative and had my house sprayed.

Pros- So far they have kept their word. Seem to have a working product, and so far good customer service like you don't see much these days. Cons - You must ask for a supervisor many times over before the call center will transfer you to someone who's in the States and English speaking; this is the better customer service. You rarely get the same service guys. I feel like with all companies, the more the same guy comes, the more they want to please you and take pride in the service they do at your house instead of them seeing someone new and explaining everything all over to the new guy!

I specifically treated where they live, travel, and enter and am super proud of the service I provided you today. I have been using Aptive for about a year now so I feel it’s appropriate to comment. It’s breaks my heart that some of you have felt like you have been Scammed. Reading some of these comments it sounds like the company might have to do a better job vetting some of the people that they work with. However with that being said the representative that I worked with was professional, kind, not too pushy and was very honest. He gave me a good deal and helped make it more affordable on the books. Since then I have been treated a total of 6 times and every time has been awesome. I’ve have seen three different technicians and they have all done a very very thorough job making sure my service matched the expectations of the dude that knocked on my door. I haven’t felt locked into anything that I didn’t know I was signing up for and I haven’t felt the need to cancel. And that being said I was pretty skeptical spraying anything that will kill the bugs but not hurt anything else. I truthfully didn’t think it would work. The service has met my expectations that my Rep gave me for the $174/treatment that I am paying. I’ve actually tipped Stephen the last two services for exceptional work. The point is, I do not feel like going to bad reviews is always the best way to judge whether a service is good or not. I feel like my experience has been exceptional! I’d say give em a go. Even with low expectations The worst that could happen is your expectations are met and the best thing that could happen is that your problem is actually solved. And that is good enough for an old construction worker like me. I will say this though. I wish you guys did termites. I have been having some issues with them and I’d love to give you guys my business but the other day when I called to ask for an inspection I was told that for now I’d have to go with someone else. Well everyone has to have a fatal flaw I guess.

We have used Aptive at two different properties now and the service is great. It is best to be home when they spray so you can mention to the tech specific areas of concern. They successfully treated scorpions before and are now treating for cockroaches. Today, Roger came out and he was fantastic! FANTASTIC! He warned me about setting traps in my garage with my kids but they are older and I will take ownership of that risk. He set them up and showed me where. And then he sprayed outside thoroughly for me. I LOVE their complimentary respray. Yes, they come out every 60-90days, but you can ask for a respray if you see something. Thank you, Roger!

Living in the foothills, we had mice getting into our house. Aptive has worked well to prevent them from getting in the house with a combination of traps inside the basement room and inside the garage doors along with 4 bait boxes strategically placed outside to draw them away from the house. Secondly,, the service technicians have been polite, informative, and timely. And lastly, when my mother died earlier this year and I needed to cancel a service, I received a very kind email the manager suggesting my account be put on hold and resume when I was ready. This felt thoughtful and accommodating since I was continuing to make monthly trips out of state to manage her estate. Giving a little kindness can create loyal customers. No longer are there any mice inside my house and Aptive has been accommodating as well.

We had serious ant issues! I’m talking large ant hills in the front, back and side yards. Ants all over the yard and sidewalks, even in our house. After 2 applications the problem is so much better. The ant hills are gone in the front and sides ( I haven’t walked the backyard, but I feel confident that they’re gone too). I was a bit skeptical when they came to my door to pitch their service (we have been burned badly by a siding company that folded before the job was finished). I am glad we decided to try Aptive, their communication is great - they respond quickly to texts/calls and they have done an amazing job!

My technician-Tyler D T was very considerate, professional and informative regarding my pest control needs. We were scheduled for a certain day and it started getting late, most companies would have delayed or rescheduled us, but Tyler kept to his scheduled date and I did not feel like he rushed through the treatment and gave us the complete service that we paid for. If I have ever needed them to come out for anything after their initial treatment, they went above and beyond to explain what my needs were before treatment. Pierre H was the Technician that provided service on December 16th 2021 and did an AMAZING! job. Pierre was polite, courteous, professional, extremely thorough and, exceeded my expectations; the service Pierre provided was far and above what I had expected! Pierre took his time carefully inspecting and treating not only the areas that I had concerns about but also the areas that he believed were needed to be treated regarding the information that I had given him. Pierre listened to my concerns and gave me educational feedback as well! The quality of service and professionalism that my technician Pierre Hamel provided for my service on December 16th 2021 should be a setting example of how all technicians for Aptive Pest Control should go by. If I could give this person 20 Stars I would and, I would hope that I could keep this technician as the technician that comes for my reoccurring treatments and service.

I was thoroughly impressed with the detail at which the Aptive representative (LeeAnn, I believe?) carried out this quarterly edition of cobweb removal + preventative insect spraying/maintenance. Very detailed and patient - from the work/applications both inside and outside of the house, to kindly responding to my "touch-up" requests and her explanation of everything that was done and what it's intended to do for bug/insect prevention. This visit was a blueprint for how a paid service should be carried out. We've been waffling on whether or not to cancel our quarterly Aptive service, but I'm 'apt' to keep it in place if this is the type of service that will be provided ongoing. Keep up the good work and commitment to customer service!

Kendrick was here today and what a nice young man, he couldn’t have been nicer - he made an impression on me and was respectful yet knowledgeable and willing to take the extra step and make sure I was happy - I have been with Aptive now I’m guessing maybe 3-4 years and they have always sent nice respectful and knowledgeable young technicians - I had a rodent problem a while back and they came out 2 or 3 extra times to help me get it under control - they are always very professional - I have to say that Kendrick stood out as just a really nice young technician today and I wanted you to know that he is an asset to Aptive and represents the company very well - give him a raise!

Today, 9/21/21, our Aptive technician, Isaiah, listened and responded effectively to our concerns. Recently, we have been experiencing animal activity in our front yard and inside our house, where we found a dead mouse in one of the traps. In addition to spraying the outside, including the grass and flower beds, Isaiah also sprayed inside the garage and the house, as well as laid traps in areas vulnerable to activity. He took time and care to make sure all areas were covered. We appreciate his efforts and thank him for the excellent customer service he provided. We have been Aptive customers for some time and would highly recommend their services.

Stephen J did an excellent job in treating my property. First, he took the time to fully understand what my insect challenges were and then he successfully addressed each of my challenges. Prior to using Aptive, I had struggled with large populations of Cicada Killer hornets and beetles. Stephen eliminated both of these long-term issues by applying the treatments in a very thorough manner. As a result, the treatments worked very quickly. Very responsive and quick to meet my needs - I recently added new mulch to my flowerbed and shortly thereafter began to see spider webs around my front window shutters. When a Black Widow showed itself, I immediately called to see when they could someone. The next morning, Antonio showed up at my front door and was extremely polite, knowledgeable and thorough. He treated the entire flowerbed, all my downspouts, roof eaves and potential spider-haunts around the exterior of my home. He even made sure I was scheduled for a follow-up treatment in a few weeks. Knowing that I can call at a moments notice and get excellent service and response gives me a lot of peace of mind!

I answered the door and thought, another sales pitch. Was I ever wrong. This was a down to earth, comfortable conversation with a smile as big as joy can show. Holly (sp) was knowledgeable, professional, patient as she came back later, not pushing and so showed the company goal of customer satisfaction . Would have to give her a ten out of ten if anyone is keeping track😁 Nigeria came today to start the initial treatment for the bug problem we have. He was just great, being professional, courteous, thorough, recommended helpful things going forward. Spent extra time hitting each fire ant pocket and several times asked if he could help with any other needs. Do you score 200 on a 100 scale? Thanks Nigeria.
