Wide Range of Targeted Pests

Aptive pest control products specialize in eradicating almost any conceivable pest problem:

  • Ants — A number of different types of ants may find their way into your home. Whether it is the Argentine Ant, Fire Ant, Odorous Ant, Pavement Ant, Pharaoh Ant, or Thief Ants it is likely that they are looking for food or water that may have been spilled in the kitchen. It is important to remember that where there is one ant, there is an entire colony. Aptive's pest control products help kill not only the ants that venture into your home, but the entire colony.
  • Cockroaches — Similar to ants, a number of different types of cockroaches exist in the United States. Some include: The American Cockroach, Brown Banded Cockroach, German Cockroach, oriental Cockroach, and Smokybrown Cockroach. If you start seeing cockroaches in your home, there are likely a number of them as they are very good at hiding.
  • Spiders — A large number of species of spiders can be found in your home. Some of the most common include: The Black Widow, Brown Recluse, Garden Spider, Hobo Spider, House Spider, and Wolf Spider. Though some spider bites may just cause irritation or swelling, others can pose serious health risks.
  • Rodents — Mice and rats are quite good and chewing through most things keeping them out of your home. In the process, they can cause thousands of dollars of damage.
  • Stingers and biters — Some of these insects that may find their way into your home are: Centipedes, Mud Daubers, Scorpions, Tick and Flea control, Wasps, Yellow Jackets and other stinging insects. The pest control company carries special pest control products to target each of these pests.

Is Aptive pest control safe?

Aptive’s goal is to provide customers with professional and effective pest control solutions that reduce the harmful effects of pests. Aptive uses EPA approved products and follows all guidelines for the appropriate use of the products. Aptive is also a member of the EPA’s Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program, a program that engages communities in building awareness and reducing pesticide risk.

What is the benefit of recurring pest control treatments vs one-time treatment as needed?

While pest treatments reduce the general pest population, over time pest populations build back up and treated surfaces lose their protective barrier. One-time treatment effectiveness fades fairly quickly for most pesticides on vegetation, especially as plants continue to grow, generating new untreated surface area, including lawns. We recommend recurring treatments to help manage ongoing activity in outdoor areas and on greenery. Certain areas like cracks and crevices, and non-porous surfaces can provide a stable surface for some products to last longer, however, UV light will degrade the treatment as well. Treatments to the structure of the home can last the longest but have little impact on the pest activity in the yard after a few weeks from one single treatment.

Do you offer interior treatment?

All of our services include exterior treatments with interior coverage when requested at no additional cost. The majority of our customers find that exterior maintenance keeps their home protected, but we are happy to treat inside your home and/or garage whenever you would like.

What if I still see bugs after a treatment?

If you are seeing pests right after your treatment, odds are you are witnessing them flee your property, which typically means the treatment is effective. If after a week you are still seeing pests, give us a call and our service professional will gladly return to treat your home at no additional cost.

What kinds of pests do you treat for?

Aptive treats common pests like ants, spiders, cockroaches, rodents, wasps, snails, flies, fleas, and ticks. Aptive does not treat any wood-destroying organisms such as termites (exceptions apply), carpenter bees, or carpenter ants. Aptive also does not treat any wildlife, such as squirrels, raccoons, chipmunks, rabbits, birds, deer, etc.

How long does the treatment take?

Your Initial Treatment and inspection typically take less than 60 minutes to complete, as our service professional does a full scan of your home and property to assess what products and treatments are best based on your needs. Standard Treatments, which are maintenance treatments, can usually be completed in less than 30 minutes.

Technician was courtesy and very helpful. I had a sudden big issue inside my home and happened to have an appointment for my quarterly spray. Not only was he able to spray and treat the infested area but also installed a plug that can help in other areas as well. I'd liked that pictures of the back door, garage door, front door, side of the house with HVAC, a piece of the fence, and curb showed the area that was treated. What I didn't like were: 1) I'd told told customer service that I needed to be called to ensure shsomeone is home. I don't look at my text during the day as I am an elementary teacher. So I wasn't aware that the service was done when I had no one home to treat the interior of my house to which I'd paid for as we have German 🪳. 2) For the value of the service one day one hour noticed isn't enough time to schedule ahead to ensure the value of money won't be wasted. 3) Because I was working and don't look at the text, I was unable to tell the service man we have a tick infestation. We still have that German 🪳. Lastly, I'm done with this company. It doesn't fit in my lifestyle. The company dictates their schedule and I can no longer work the inconvenience of it.

Your sales representatives did not say it was a 12 service agreement. Your representative used your visual advertisement that showed even after short treatments the product eliminated and minimized bug activity drastically. Then promises with “continuous use” to keep the activity dormant. You have two issues here. Your representative did not say it was a 12 month contact or 12 service agreement. He did say do a couple treatments, see if it works like it’s worked for everyone, and as the results cancel the policy. You’ll get charged a fee if you cancel before the first one, so many sure the first one happens. Then cancel after that if you’re not satisfied. i definitely have it more the. 1 treatment. It was several months. I reached out originally expressing I do not want you to come back because your product failed to show any change in the activity. I actually saw an increase in plant eating bugs, gnat, flys, ants, spiders, and more. I lost several crops after they sprayed. Not only planted variety, but berry bushes. It’s cheaper and safer to do it yourself. I had no issues when I bought and managed pest control. It became an issue once they arrived though. So, between the shady representatives that lied and cost me $199 and the loss of money buys plants, planting, tenting, trying to save, and watching them die. I wouldn’t mess with this company. All because I worked in sales a long time ago I figured I’d help the kid out. Only to bit me in… well you know the rest! Horrible company.

Today the exterminator was awesome! He provided me with information and education that no one has given me in the time that I've been using this company. Travis, the pest control tech then texted me giving me an approximate arrival time. Finally, he texted me when complete and sent pics of the service area. With a very busy schedule. I have been using Aptive for about a year now so I feel it’s appropriate to comment. It’s breaks my heart that some of you have felt like you have been Scammed. Reading some of these comments it sounds like the company might have to do a better job vetting some of the people that they work with. However with that being said the representative that I worked with was professional, kind, not too pushy and was very honest. He gave me a good deal and helped make it more affordable on the books. Since then I have been treated a total of 6 times and every time has been awesome. I’ve have seen three different technicians and they have all done a very very thorough job making sure my service matched the expectations of the dude that knocked on my door. I haven’t felt locked into anything that I didn’t know I was signing up for and I haven’t felt the need to cancel. And that being said I was pretty skeptical spraying anything that will kill the bugs but not hurt anything else. I truthfully didn’t think it would work. The service has met my expectations that my Rep gave me for the $174/treatment that I am paying. I’ve actually tipped Stephen the last two services for exceptional work. The point is, I do not feel like going to bad reviews is always the best way to judge whether a service is good or not. I feel like my experience has been exceptional! I’d say give em a go. Even with low expectations The worst that could happen is your expectations are met and the best thing that could happen is that your problem is actually solved. And that is good enough for an old construction worker like me. I will say this though. I wish you guys did termites. I have been having some issues with them and I’d love to give you guys my business but the other day when I called to ask for an inspection I was told that for now I’d have to go with someone else. Well everyone has to have a fatal flaw I guess.

Your service is excellent. However, whenever I go on your website to pay after the pest control sprayer has come, your website says my payment is past due. Also, I am getting letters from a debt collection company saying I owe Aptive $199. I have already called Aptive to clear that up and they said they would take care of it but I keep on getting debt letters from your debt collectors company. This is frustrating since I have always paid my bill after service was rendered. If you could correct this I’d appreciate it

Tech contacted me before arrival and did a very good job when he got here. On the previous scheduled treatment date it was reported that I was not available so my treatment was rescheduled . I was at home all day and was never contacted .

I don't feel like the company was honest about pest control services. After 2 years, I was told they can't spray upstairs and downstairs during the 4th quarter, or something to that affect. I live in a two story home, so my services require upstairs and downstairs treatment, as I aquired roaches, which are located in an upstairs bedroom. I was never notified of this at the inception of my services. It may be in my contract, but I asked initially if treatment came with upststairs and downstains, before signing a contract. I was told yes, without any exceptions... read your contract!!! I will definitely find a different pest control company when my contract is up. Be careful with Aptive.

Daniel texted me before the appointment to ask about specific concerns, and after he completed his services, he sent me pictures around the whole house! He even sent a picture confirming that he closed our gate so that I know it won’t be open when I let our dog outside later today. :)
