Simple Process

Americor offers a simple path to becoming debt-free. You can contact the company by phone or online via their website to receive a free consultation. You only need to answer a few simple questions about your debts, and if you qualify, you can get started immediately.

Americor provides you with a 100% personalized debt relief plan. And for those who wish to get started with Americor’s debt resolution program, it typically takes between 24-48 months for clients to complete the program and to be debt-free of all their debts they enrolled into their program.

After clients complete their program, they receive a certificate of completion and all of their enrolled creditors are fully paid off, and the client is debt-free.

Like many other reputable debt relief companies, Americor doesn’t charge clients for its services until after it has received settlement offers from clients’ creditors and the clients have approved of those settlement offers.

Will I owe taxes on the amount of debt that is forgiven through a successful negotiation?

Some creditors may issue a 1099c for the amount of debt forgiven over $600. Will I be able to enroll all of my debts in Americor's program?

No. The program focuses on unsecured debt like credit cards, personal loans, medical debt, and personal student loans. Loans that are secured by collateral such as your home or an automobile do not qualify for Americor’s program.

Can I negotiate my own debts?

The short answer is yes. It is possible for you to contact your creditors directly and negotiate your own debts. However, Americor negotiators have years of experience and direct relationships with creditors and collection agencies. Unless you are a skilled negotiator and extremely knowledgeable about the credit and collection industry, you may not be able to negotiate agreements as favorable as the ones Americor negotiators may reach on your behalf.

Who is holding the funds I save each month?

By law, all debt resolution providers are required to use an independent third-party payment processor to hold consumer funds while the consumer is enrolled in a debt resolution program. After enrolling in Americor's debt resolution program, the company will assist you in setting up a FDIC-insured savings account that you control with a licensed, third-party payment processor who will hold your savings funds and distribute all negotiated payments to your creditors in a timely manner. You are the owner of this account and you control all of the funds deposited and debited from the account.

Does a debt resolution program help repair my credit once I have completed the program?

No. Americor is not a credit repair company, and it does not offer credit repair services. However, once a person progresses through their debt resolution program and settled accounts are paid off, they often see their credit score improve due to a lower debt to income ratio.

Does a debt resolution program affect my credit score?

If you do not make timely minimum payments each month, or if you allow your credit cards to go into a charge-off status after six months of no payment, your credit score can be negatively impacted. This is true whether you enroll in a debt resolution program or not. The sooner you are able to resolve your delinquent accounts or negotiate a repayment plan for less than you owe, the sooner negative items will begin to not be factored into your credit score and the sooner you will be able to begin to rebuild your credit.

How long does it take to complete a debt resolution program?

While each person’s situation is unique, and it is dependent on how much debt you enroll and how fast you can save, Americor clients are typically able to complete their program in 24 to 48 months.

How long does it take before I typically see results?

Americor clients typically get their first settlement offer within 3-6 months after enrolling in the program. However, some clients receive their first settlement offer within 30 days of making their first deposit into their dedicated FDIC-insured account.

Can Americor guarantee all of my debts will be successfully negotiated through its program?

Americor will not enroll a creditor that the company has not successfully negotiated with in the past. Part of the enrollment process is to determine which of your creditors Americor can and can not enroll. Americor has been successfully negotiating debts with most credit card companies since 2009 and has relationships with over 1,000 clients across the nation to assist their clients with their debts.

How are fees charged and paid in a debt resolution program?

Americor never charges a fee until it is able to successfully settle your accounts for less than what you owe. When Americor receives an offer from one of your creditors, it will submit a written agreement to you for your review and approval. Americor's fees are then paid on a prorated basis once the settlement payment is made.

Hi, I used to be a customer with Americor. I graduated the program. It is pretty scary when you start out and you're not realizing how much debt can pile up on somebody. My breaking point was when I got a summons to court. It scared me to death. I was like, what do I do? So I was reaching out for debt collectors and they just weren't wanting to work with me. Didn't want to, didn't care about nothing. And so I found Americor online. I reached out to them. Customer service was amazing. Immediately said, well, this is the portal, download it. I did. They read the terms and the contract and how it works out, and what percentage they get, which is not very large on this if you look at it. And they told me submit every single document, upload in the portal, which was easy, very easy to upload these portals. So I got all the bills and everything and I uploaded every single bill I had. Capital One, Discover card, even some other bills that were, I don't even know where I got that from, and they were collection agencies like crazy. The first few months is the scariest because when they start reaching out to all these people for you, you're scared because the notices that you get are like, well, if you don't pay this we're going to sue you. And Americor tells you don't listen to them. We've already been in contact with them. They're just trying to get you to jump out of the program. I recommend everybody stay in the program. It's scary. I did for three years and there's times where you're short of money and you were terrified. My credit score when I started the program was like a hundred and something. My credit score now is 750 and it's still going up. I just finished the program last week. I recommend anybody that does this program stick to it, don't back out. If you get a little extra money, throw it in the deposit, it pays it off faster. You would definitely enjoy the freedom of it and not looking over your shoulders or worrying about going somewhere or money coming up missing on your account that you were ready to pay a bill or they auto-debited or took your money. Definitely give Americor a chance. It's scary, but it's worth it. It's something you never want to bypass or skip out on because I can breathe. Family and I don't have to look over my shoulders no more. My husband, we did the program together. We consolidated both of our bills and it worked out great for us. So definitely try it out. I've been through this process with two different companies now, and the difference comes down to one thing: knowing what's actually happening with your money. Americor's portal is the best interface I've used, period. I can log in any time and see exactly where each settlement stands — what's been negotiated, what's been paid, what's still in the pipeline. Nothing is a mystery. They also have an app, so I can check on things from my phone without having to sit down at a computer or call someone and wait on hold. Before this I was with National Debt Relief, and their platform just didn't give me that. I never had the same clear picture of where my accounts stood, and I found myself guessing or having to reach out to get answers that should have been right in front of me. Debt settlement is stressful enough. Being able to open an app and see real progress on your own accounts makes an enormous difference in how you feel about the whole process.
