I was very happy with the way FDR has done my debt consolidation up until the last few months of paying off some of the last balances. Either there is major training issues with new people and not knowing how to figure payoffs, or theirs some funny business going on. The amount owe to a creditor is in writing, and the amount of interest FDR collects for their service is in writing per day; so what is so hard in figuring out the payoff date and amount to the creditor. If I had the figures in front of me, I could figure it out? It's easy math!!! My problem with this company is I received information from one FDR Rep, in June 2014 that our FDR account would be paid off in October 2014. October comes by and my call-in reveals that it's not so, that I would not be paid off until December 2014, with the last payment probably being lower than the usual monthly draft amount. Strike one for FDR. November draft happens and a couple weeks later I called-in asking if they could approx. figure the last December draft of our account, knowing it would not be the total of the usual draft amount. The FDR Rep, figured the amount would be definitely be under the draft amount and for sure be under $400. I asked her if she was absolutely sure this was so and she stated that it was, and that I could actually have the draft amount taken down now to $400, for the last draft, she was that sure. I stated that I would like to do this; she showed me how to change the draft amount for December 2014 to $400, and I did so online in the FDR site. She also guaranteed me that there would be no other drafts coming out of my account. The $400 draft came out on December 28, 2014 and I would receive a refund amount shortly after my draft was taken, approx. 3 weeks or so as soon as the creditor was paid. Now it's February 1, 2015. Yesterday, attempting to buy groceries and can't even buy $43. worth in account, and was promised was not going to be drafted in January 2015. Your promise broken, the original draft came out on January 28th, 2015!!! Cause and effect: overdrafts out of my account!!! Rip-roaring-mad!!! Strike two FDR. 1st statement from 'Misty'-a FDR Lead- states, yes in fact the January usual draft is owed, plus the $400 in December in order to payoff the last creditor. No way-Hosea! I was promised December. But she says, "Our Rep. gave bad information, it was not so...", and she repeated her info about the two amount were owed. Strike three FDR! She stated that she would email me to say that my account was paid off, to get this in writing, and would send a print-out of the statement showing what had been owed after the $400 payment, but she needed an hour to do this for me. Approx. 20 minutes later, FDR calls and it's 'Misty', "Calling to let you know, I have good news you may be correct and have substantial money to be receiving back; she had checked and saw the 1099's from Chase, and wasn't taking into account those write-offs, as the last Rep did, and would request the time be extended so she could print this info out for you. Would tomorrow be okay the extension?" She also stated that she is emailing the statement about no more drafts would take place and sending it to my email. But as I look on the website, there is several places where it shows a February draft will be taken for the original amt. I don't trust FDR at all and will address this issue after I receive the confirmation in my email. Please FDR, you need to change up you training and information on your website! Follow thru will your "Yes will be Yes!", in promising NO MORE DRAFT! In my last review, I neglected to mention why FDR drafted in January 2015, after they promised to not draft after my last lower draft amount in December 2014 to finish off my debt payments; it was because I had 3 out of 7 credit card (all one creditor for the 3 cards), write off my credit card balances and issue 1099’s for each credit card. Even though this had been done since June 2014, when they called to tell me this credit card company was writing-off 3 of their balances for us, I at this time also asked for an approx. pay-off amount for October as they stated. They stated it was too soon; the FDR Rep just didn’t want to have to figure that far in advance, and I understood. I called back after the September 2014 draft and they also reneged her too and stated the payoff was in December. So really it’s up to Strike four, which is way, way unprofessional, even past Strike one! My point I’m trying to make, if this happens to you, is get these FDR Reps to give this information to you in writing. It took me FOUR STRIKES, which I shouldn’t have put up with. And also my fault, not reminding them that the last three credit cards by the same creditor are written-off every time I call in, so that they know, FOR SURE when you are paid off!

I have been with the program since Aug 2014. Since then I have had one credit card settled. I was told it would take about 6 months, so I haven't been worried until now. AMX filed against me in court. I was alarmed at this and called FF and they said not to worried about it, so I didn't. Then I received an email from FF stating they were unable to negotiate with AMX and my time to legally respond to the court papers was almost up! I had about 3 days left. I was so confused and called FF again, and talked with several people all with different answers. I missed the 30 day deadline to respond because I was given misinformation to start with. I have also received a call from a representative from Citibank, also stating they don't deal with FF and I would need to work out my settlement directly with him. When I called FF, they said they do work with Citibank, but they also told me they work with AMX and now I have found out that they don't. So far I have mixed feelings and am very worried about my situation.

I started the program 8 months ago with the thought I would have to put up with approximately two to three months of telephone calls from creditors. Actually at 8 months they have finally started to die down. That was one of the most terrible parts of starting the program. But also during the 8 months one company has been settled with so I have four more. At this stage of participating in the program it is at a peaceful time and I am just waiting until FDR has negotiated with the four other creditors and I will be home free. The only downside is that we weren't expecting it to take as long as it has to see settlement offers come in. We were anxious to see things start to happen. The people we have spoken withn the phne are great. The problem we have is that there is n follow up. We called in May, June, and 3 times now in July and the matter is still not resolved. We are told that someoen will follow up by text or email, but we never get anything. We have a court date that was cotinued to 7/25/16 for a creditor we already settled with and made payments too. This is very frustrating and quite a dissappointment.

I was a client of FDR for some 36 months When i started I had approx 54k of debt in 16 different companies. I was initial told the rate I would pay for their service would be 11 % turned out it was 21%I switch that i was never informed of. For the most part they held up their end of the contract by one by one negotiating fair settlements for my accounts. Some were V good other not so much I feel they did me wrong on one account Bof A which the bank simpy wiped out, however FDR still charged me the 21% for settleing it which they had done nothing to earn. Also toward the end I had one account which they started to settle in the begining they received their commision then. Somehow the account was frozen and they kept leaving it until it was the only account left. Although they had ample funds in my escrow account to settle it, they never did, I suspect because there was no money in it at that point for commisions on that account had already been paid. I feel on those to accounts they were very un ethical. I say be careful in choosing FDR and get commision rates up front in writting.

a little slower than expected but proceeding are fair i guess I thought settlements would have been more then one at a time then the fee's for the first settlement are high could have used the fee to settle a smaller debt oh well it is what it is hopefully it picks up soon

The agent I talked to was very reassuring and warm. I ended up enrolling my debts with Freedom Debt Relief. I do wish there was more communication after enrollment. It seems like the first three-five months is spent waiting. I am anxious to see closure but understand that this is a process.

We were in an unusual situation where we didn't know who could help us get out. We were facing bankruptcy so we tried Freedom Debt. It certainly helped me and my wife. It was something I didn't necessarily want to do, but it was unfortunately necessary. They helped us in a time of need with the banks and credit card companies. They are very expensive though, I was not made aware of that. If you're in a situation between a rock and a hard place, it's something I'd recommend.

Anytime I had a question they were ready to answer and would walk me through the whole thing. They also made sure that I took my time to think before making a final decision on things. They always wanted to make sure that I knew what was happening and that I understood the situation. Everything that gets done is put up in the dashboard so I can look at it. They also send me messages when they need me to look at things there. There were a couple of times when I had to call them because I hadn't heard back from them in a while. I'm in the middle of things right now and I feel okay so far. I'm down to the end of my program but I'm a bit concerned about the last debt. It's taking longer than anticipated and I feel like they're not being aggressive enough with it. It's dragging and it's obvious. I totally trust them though.

They can always answer my questions and are always willing to help. Though I don't think they do things very well. I think that they could pay some of the debt I have a little bit faster than what they are doing, but I don't understand how it all works. Right now it's still looking like I still have quite a lot of debt. I assumed that they would take care of the two major ones first, but I have not had anything paid or taken care of yet, so I'm a little bit nervous. I also don't know how much it's going to cost me. I don't think it's going to cost as much as the debt I have, but I'm still worried about it.

They were helpful in many ways but there were a number of challenges. Freedom Debt Relief charged very high fees (highest in the industry). Also, with their program, customers had to build up funds before they could negoitiate. Many other companies do not implement that practice. Because of this one of my creditors filed a lawsuit against me. I did not have time to waste, so I went with another company who would move more aggressively to help me with my situation.

Overall a good experience...only downfall is that they initially advise against taking out a consolidation loan only to offer this in the end with a higher rate than many of our credit cards.

I was unhappy with FDR's lack of communication with my debtors. I had 4 separate debts. The last one had to wait 3 years before they were communicated with, therefore they took me to court, I would have done the same. While it did work out in the end, it cost me more for legal fees and a great deal of stress.

They did save me money. The person who enrolled me was very knowledgeable, was able to answer all my questions. The problem is that you do not know all the questions to ask. Once signed up you get handed off to customer service people who answer you questions with vague generalities. They tell you the deal with all banks, when in reality the banks sell your debt to a collection agency, and they end of dealing with the collection agency. Not a big deal, but was not given exactly accurate information. Once you stop paying your cards, while given money to FDR, the banks have no idea what is happening. Wish they would inform the banks that you are making a concerted effort to fix the situation. If they did tell them, I was unaware

I am so confused regarding FDR ,some of the creditors state this company really is not helping me, but it is actually more detrimental to me and my credit history. Companies continue to call me daily. The time that it takes for FDR to offer the creditors something, by that time my credit is ruined, with delinquencies,and perhaps a 3rd party collection. I hope I made the right choice with this company.

We are having a problem right now with our creditors calling us non stop wanting payment. I was of the opinion when I entered the address and phone number that was provided to us that our creditors would call that number, however, that is not the case.

I thought my settlements would be for a larger percentage of the debt. I have been sued by a company that I only owed $1500; I cannot imagine they did not reach a settlement. I am now paying that company $1600 on a monthly basis. I could have done that on my own. Because of that I am concerned about my remaining debts that continue to accrue interest. Will I end up paying them more too?
