Ongoing communication concerning debts in negotiation process is lacking. I really don't know what is happening with the negotiations. The fees for getting a settlement are never disclosed (just indicates a percentage). My first settlement was just approved and the I feel the fee is outrageous. Just about 50% of my settlement. With fees this high being paid from my dedicated account. it pulls the funds away from my creditors. If I'd have known the fees would be so high, I probably wouldn't be using the service. I would have tried to negotiate with my creditors on my own first. Also, after uploading my documents (statements, legal letters, etc.) there is no communication at all - I don't know if the upload was successful, I don't know if the threatening letters and specifically the letter indicating there has been a lien put on my home(!) was received and if this would change the order of the debt negotiations. However, anytime I've needed to contact customer service, they have been exceptional.

I would not recommend debt relief to anyone. This review is not directly against freedom, possibly all debt relief programs work this way, however going in I was not behind on any payments. I was lead to believe when I was given my orginal quote my savings was based on what I currently owed, however in order for them to help Out I had to stop paying all bills and the late/non payments fees kept piling up which increased my debt from what I originally listed, so when credit card companies settle it’s based on a way higher amount than what you went into the program with, and while it may end up being close to 50% of what you “CURRENTLY “ owe , it’s not much more than what you originally owed. If I knew this information going in, I would have never went with this program or any other and would not recommend to anyone.

Setup was easy and I was enrolled over the phone in less than an hour so that was great for my busy schedule. Communication, in terms of emails from Freedom helping to explain what will happen, when it will happen, and encouragement in the face of mounting and escalating debt collection efforts from my enrolled accounts, has been amazing. I also really appreciate the reordering of accounts for negotiation based on the level of communication/threats coming from collection companies. When I received my first notice of my account being sent to a collection company, I uploaded the document to my dashboard, within a day that account was moved to the front of the line for negotiation and within a few weeks a settlement offer was made. When settlement offers are made, the ease of approving in various formats makes it easy and fast to respond. So far, nothing to complain about. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that I believe I have had such a great experience due to using a different front-end company/account manager at Rescue 1 Financial. She has been wonderful to work with and is available to contact directly when I have questions.

I checked with a number of companies that do this and I was very satisfied with FDR at the beginning. Six months later I still am. With other personal concerns in my family, FDR has been a life saver. In two months a settlement was offered. I would love to increase my deposits in the future and finish the settlements as soon as possible. Again, I am comfortable and glad that I chose FDR.

I’m not sure how I got so lucky on my first try. When I researched there were so many different companies. The first one I chose was Freedom debt relief, and I’ve been with him since they have truly helped me so wonderfully they’re there to coach me and help me along the way with reminders different things I can do.
