A Sunrun rep rang my doorbell around a year and half ago. I heard their pitch but decided not to pursue it at that time. In mid-February a different rep approached me in Lowes. I was interested to know about more recent developments in solar power so I invited them to my home to talk. The person that came was Dominick Y. He was very pleasant to speak to, explained everything in detail and was able to respond to my technical questions as well. After discussion with my family, we decided to sign up within a week. Dominick helped me with the paperwork that I needed to review and sign. There were no "gotchas" in any of the fine print. The subsequent process went very smoothly over the next 2.5 months. Someone from Sunrun messaged me frequently with upcoming tasks that were going to happen, even if I didn't have to do anything personally. They took care of all the permits, follow up paperwork, and inspections. There were several people that messaged me over that time but they all acted as one unit with knowledge of what everyone else was doing. I only needed to be home on the actual installation day. The installation went smoothly as well. Dominick visited once during that day to check on things. They found an unexpected problem: our main electrical breaker was faulty. It was from when the house was built 37 years ago. They finished everything else within the time estimate they gave beforehand, leaving only the things that relied on a functional main breaker. They came back a few days later to replace the breaker (at no charge) and the remaining electrical work, around 30 minutes to complete. Around 2 weeks later, we got final approval flip the switch to connect it to the grid. I experienced no downsides throughout all of this. From a cost perspective, at worst we might pay the same as not having a solar system on the coldest Winter days, but I doubt that from what I've seen so far. We're already seeing a 50% reduction in electrical cost in month 1. At best, I expect a 75+% reduction during the height of summer in Chicagoland. Right now, 2pm in late Spring, we're generating 9.6 kW of solar power, using 1.6 kW and sending 8 kW back to the grid for future credit. It's a win-win all around.

Sunrun has been and still is the best investment in my home. During power cuts in the area i had full power. I chose to lease not buy as i know technology is changing all the time- for the better we hope! Sunrun has always stayed on top of everything to make sure my system is functioning properly and optimally always. Even though im paying my lease monthly - solar is saving me so much money on electricity! Friends of mine who listened to me got sunrun too and they are completely satisfied also. I have had Sunrun Solar Panels for several years now, and I could not be happier. I can feel the difference in how cool the house (a two-story house) is during the summer months, but my electric bill has dropped significantly. Pre-Sunrun, my electric bill, due to running the AC, was high. After speaking with a Sales Representative from Sunrun, who answered every question by explaining the process completely and clearly, I was sold. I was most impressed that they did not attempt to sell me more panels than necessary. In addition, during installation, the technicians were non-intrusive, quiet, and got the job done in a reasonable amount of time. After installing the solar panels, my home is always comfortable, and I'm surprised that I do not have to run my AC quite as much. Installing solar panels was a game-changer because my utility bill decreased. If you are considering installing solar panels, contact Sunrun first. Everyone from sales, installation, and customer service is available to assist. Honestly, I could not be happier with my decision to install panels with Sunrun.

Joshua J at Sunrun was great to work with in obtaining solar for my home. I had explored other options that were not working out and he worked with me to find a solution that fit my situation. He wasn’t pushy but was responsive when I needed answers. The teams that did the actual work got it done efficiently and they make sure you are satisfied with how everything is working before they take your money. I loved how Sunrun followed up better than I did on how my system was performing after it was installed!And the online billing makes it easy to see what you are accruing month to month. Very happy with Sunrun overall.

As I’m sure it is with most new customers, I was a bit apprehensive at first. The unknowns and the inaccurate information from other people did have me a bit worried. My first call to Sunrun changed most of that. They expertly laid out the entire process from installation to how it works with ComEd all the way down to how they make money also. I was rather impressed to say the least because what company gives you that much breakdown. After committing to the contract, we scheduled installation, and within a few weeks I had my first set of solar panels on the roof with no upfront out-of-pocket cost to me which is still hard for me to believe 😂 even after two years. I will admit it did take a bit longer for the panels to show up on my electric bill then I thought, but once the solar showed up on the bill, it completely wiped out my bill minus the delivery charge of $17 which I do pay on a monthly basis. The cool thing is, ComEd just sent me a refund for the entire amount that I sent them throughout the year. After having this system installed, I have now locked in my electricity cost for the next 25 years. I currently pay $135 a month for my system, which is a rather large system and you now know I have no cost with ComEd. We went the entire winter without insane electric costs for the first time ever and I have to say it is a really nice feeling knowing that I’m not gonna have a surprise $400 or $500 bill pop up. I am no longer worried about leaving lights on or fans running or cranking the heat and air-conditioning to the max. All in all I have had an incredibly positive experience throughout the process and would highly recommend having the Sunrun team do your install, you won’t regret it!!!

It’s been four years since I first had my solar panels and whole house batteries installed by SunRun. It’s been a great experience and there have been no problems along the way. Clearly, we’ve had power outages, but we never knew about them until our utility called us to inform us that power has been restored. We never knew that there had been an outage. The company monitors our system 24/7 and we feel safe and secure knowing that we are contributing to the health of our planet, saving energy and are protected from power outages. I did a great deal of research before selecting SunRun and have never regretted my choice. I recommend them to anyone considering solar energy.

I was curious about installing solar panels in the past, but after February of 2021 when most of Texas lost power for two weeks in that freak winter storm , I knew it was time for a change. It was not a question of IF I would lose power again but WHEN. NOE four years later the panels are a blessing that keeps paying. I lost count of how many times in four years we have lost power from a few minutes to several hours..... EXCEPT ME! MY battery back immediately kicks in and goes offline automatically when power is restored. At one point I was battery backup for two days straight. The great thing about the panels is that once the sun cones out my battery recharges and my usage is FREE!!!. I will not even mention that the hottest part of summer my bill went from $300.00 a month to $32.00 a month. In the winter when solar power is at a minimum, my all electric hone went from $375.00 a month to under $100.00. The cherry 🍒 on top happened when my panels cover half of my roof and insulate my house from the heat plus very little wear and tear on my shingles since the panels cover them.

Sunrun did an amazing job installing my solar panels, and having them has cut down on my LADWP bills. I wish I would have gotten the battery since a lot of my power usage is at night (and I have no way to store the energy so as to use it at night). But that’s not Sunrun’s fault. It’s mine. Sunrun is pretty good about following up with me to make sure everything is running efficiently, though they haven’t sent a representative to the house in person. Still, if anything seems to be out of whack, I’m confident they would be responsive to any requests for service. Fortunately, their panels are so good that I haven’t had any service needs yet. I’m happy with Sunrun.

The dynamic between sales and purchasing,, buyer/seller... Is best met when both parties compromise... I felt Vinny was very even-handed and I felt comfortable with him. The other part of the equation is servicing and customer response... The install crew was fantastic ,well coordinated A couple of weeks after the install we had a real heavy rain in this area and a leak was spotted in the attic... Contacted customer service and they got a crew out there to repair it in 2 days I was very pleased The repair crew was as professional as the install crew So far quite happy with SunRun That following question 'are you or have you ever been a paying customer of sunrun'Don't really understand the question I do make a automatic monthly payment to sunrun that covers the financing of my solar project... So I'll answer yes

I had Sunrun install my panels about ten years ago & I have never regretted it. My power bill dropped to under $100 per month, usually under $50, from approximately $300/month. I am now retired and ithe money saved on power is very significant. Sunrun monitors my system & I rarely have to think about it. There was one time early on that Sunrun had to come to my home to "fix" something and have never had to send anyone back since. The money I have saved on electricity since installing Sunrun panels is impressive and the cost to Sunrun for the panels, installation & monitoring for 20 years is so much less each month than I was previously paying the electric car for for a company. I must admit I was a little skeptical about the benefits of going solar, Mason M did his best to explain everything, more than once, so I decided to give it a go, I am so glad I did, having solar for several months now it has proven reliable and stable. With the recent windstorms and fires my neighbors have been without power for the last 18 hrs so far and it is still out, but I have the only power for six blocks on my street. I couldn’t be happier with the service. From install to 4yrs later. My monthly electric bill comes in with negative amounts which I used as credits in the winter when we don’t collect as much sun. The 25yr full warranty assures me if any damages I can have it fixed or fully replaced, gives me piece of mind. The monthly payment depends on how many panels you get, depending on how much your yearly electric bill shows it needs. My 14 panels acquires a $95 per month flat rate, locked in electric charge. This was such a huge savings especially after 2020 when rates went up almost double. I couldn’t be happier with this decision.

We did a lot of research before we installed solar. When sunrun came to inspect our roof on our manufactured home they found storm damage that we did not know about at the peak of our roof. There was a 4-ft long opening and they took pictures which they gave to us and we forwarded to our homeowners insurance. My husband and I are senior citizens and we never go on the roof. We would never have known about the damage if not for Sunrun. After we got our roof replaced through insurance sunrun came out and we got 38 panels installed between our home and our detached garage. I am retired and disabled, my husband works from home, we use a lot of electricity during the day. Our comment bill was regularly over $200 a month. Now with sunrun solar we pay $125 to lease the panels and approximately $16 ComEd every month! The money we are saving is amazing! And we are doing something good for the environment as well! Can't say enough good things about our Sunrun solar! Very very satisfied customer!

John C Director of SUNRUN's project management team did an outstanding job on my residence solar installation. I have saved thousands over the last 2 years. I highly recommend SUNRUN and Mr. C for homes that do not have much shade. They determine if your home is worth to YOU the homeowner if it would be worth installing their state of the art solar panel and control system. I recommended a friend but his home which did not have much sunlight at their home roof area, their system would not provide outstanding financial benefits to them. SUNRUN declined to install...Now what company does that?? Outstanding Company with John C at the helm.

I contracted SunRun to install their solar system on my last 2 homes. The systems have been trouble free and very efficient. My electric bills were reduced to $0.00 and I actually received a pay back for my utility company (PG&E) for the extra energy my systems generated that was fed back into the grid. The systems required no out of pocket cost as they receive my California Solar Power Incentive to cover the cost of installation. I pay SunRun a very low fixed payment monthly, as the system is leased vs me having to purchase the system. All needed maintenance is taken care of by SunRun at no cost to me. Installation only took a day and the technicians were professional, friendly and tidy. I highly recommend SunRun for the installation of your solar system.

Ten years ago after researching extensively, we chose SunRun to install 21 solar panels on our roof. They have been producing wonderfully since 2014, when solar was relatively new . Our electric bill was consistently next to nothing. We have since retired and have been consuming more electricity because of increased air conditioning use in these unusually hot summers snd just spending more time at home. We decided to have eight additional panels last spring. SunRun’s pricing is very competitive and the quality of their panels is excellent. The panels we had installed are producing as well as the new panels. SunRun handled all the permits and paperwork. The install was completed quickly and cleanly by a professional and skilled crew. I would not hesitate to recommend Sun Run to anyone considering solar.

We had a great experience with Sunrun. Raven, our rep was very knowledgeable and informative. Our project manager, Lindsay, was equally involved. The process was quick and easy; we had our drone inspection on Thursday, got our design plan on Friday, received our initial permit the following Monday and got the system installed that Wednesday. In less than a week we were up and running. We've been very happy with our solar system. It's come in handy several times during power outages. I highly recommend Sunrun. A neighbor did a lot of research and found this company to have the best options. So, whether you’re looking to buy or lease a solar system, I encourage you to put Sunrun at the top of the list.

We recently had solar installed by Sunrun and from the moment we met Chris, to the first time we were able to go off grid, we have been completely satisfied. Using the app to track progress on our project was very helpful and communication has been easygoing. We opted for enough panels to help produce 20% over our average usage and the extra battery panel. Even now, with the shorter days, we have plenty of stored energy to power our home, complete with A/C & heating unit. With the low profile panels, they don’t distract from our home’s profile, which was important. Also, Sunrun did NOT add any additional costs and when there was a need for some additions, they covered all costs. If all of this doesn’t convince you, I now pay half as much for power than I was when connected to the grid. The only thing I would have done differently is to have contacted Sunrun sooner.

If you’re even thinking about solar, call these folks and have them tell you the facts. We had a friend who had solar installed by Sun run and he was experiencing big savings. I’ve never been a big fan of solar because I’ve never seen any great results. Well, my friend change my mind completely. Our guy Bruce gave us all the information and we decided to go with their package. Installation went smooth and was professionally done. All the guys who installed were great, and they always let us know what was happening day today. Anytime we had a question , an answer was just a moment away. We were quite comfortable with the entire process. Now that it’s all installed we couldn’t be happier with it and I can check the results on my phone anytime. The savings we are seeing are impressive and I don’t think we could’ve chosen a better company.

Bob was an all-truth kind of guy who took his time to detail both the solar and Tesla Powerwall products. After the conversation, there was no question, we wanted to commit to solar and follow through with the next steps. Our next Sunrun contact was Gary K, Sales Representative, who kept in close contact throughout the pre/post solar installation. Beginning with our initial appointment, Gary was professional, knowledgeable, and personable; the customer was priority one. I got my panels in 2016, and they’ve been great. My only complaint is with SDGE, which does not acknowledge all of the kW I’ve generated and credits me a fraction of what they’re worth. And they don’t allow new battery storage systems with existing solar panels, which is antithetical to CA as a green state. But they need idiots like me to keep paying my bill, even though it should be zero, because 25% of San Diego residents don’t pay their bill or are late with it. Annoying. But not Sunrun’s fault. That said, I have a friend who had an awful experience with Sunrun, but mine was good because I went through Costco, which I would highly recommend - this way Sunrun is forced to do a good job

We wanted to have solar for economics and care of planet, but could not afford a system. Sunrun made it easy to get on board. They assessed our property, and installed panels, which seem to have been maintenance -free for years. Our savings are moderate, but real, but we feel good to be contributing to the effort to shift energy to sustainable sources. Our monthly payments are easily deducted from our bank, and increase in small amounts year by year exactly as promised. Each month we get e-mails clearly describing the efficiency of our system and how much carbon it saves, and any time we have had an issue or question, (such as refinancing our mortgage) we have dealt with cheerful and expert customer service who helped us swiftly. We are very happy with our relationship with Sunrun after some years of signing on. At every step they delivered as promised and offered excellent support.

They were very, very informative, supportive and I had already made the decision. So it was a very simple matter of just arranging the installation. The date was selected. I was asked to trim a few branches from some trees that are around my property and their truck with the crew with the equipment arrived and they spent most of the day, installing the panels, getting the battery in, laying the cable the the pipe, the the ductwork for the cables, and mounting the control equipment on the on the side wall. It was a pretty straightforward process. They were very respectful and responsible. I pay 100 bucks a month and I don't have to worry about it.

I think the the the girl who told me about SunRun was very good and she explained everything to me and how much money I would save and that was the right choice. The gentleman came over here, put it up in a speedy time. I think it only took a couple of days. It was great experience. They put it up and and it was not complicated for me to be able to clean it or anything else. It gets pretty clean pretty quick. But I think it could have been a lot easier if they didn't put that white material at the bottom of each panel because it doesn't get cleaned too well. But actually it's very good. I think my roof is going to be have to be done probably in the next two or three years and they're going to have to remove the solar panels. And that's going to be a little costly I think.

Well, I'm into my third year already and I haven't had any problems with the equipment, it has been working flawlessly. In fact, it seems to be getting better with age. Now I don't know if that's possible, but I tell you what, I've sure been getting a lot of rollover. I've been producing still a lot like crazy, so that's awesome. I've been very happy with the lease agreement and the payments have been more than acceptable. It's been fantastic. I've got 24 panels on my small roof, and I just I love it. It's working out really good. These guys were right on top of everything. Even when I initially had a problem with one of the brackets that held the panel, I needed it trimmed off because it was hanging out a little bit. They came right back, took care of it, no problem.

Phillip, our SunRun Representative is fantastic, he answered all our questions, he makes sure everything is going good with us, and he even periodically stops by to see how we're doing and how we like our solar. Once they put the solar up, it was fast and it was efficient and they were great about cleaning up anything in the yard. The guys were just superb. We have not had any problems and we're loving our no ComEd bills. We used to pay $250 a month for ComEd, now we don't. They're absolutely trustworthy. I'm very pleased with them and the customer service and the way that they treat us afterwards. We're not just forgotten, they still check up on us. It it's just amazing. It's there, it's not just making a sale and goodbye, you're part of the family.

Whatever problems that we came up against when doing the installation, they resolved them quickly and efficiently. I cannot believe how easy the project went and how smoothly it went, I've never experienced any contractor perform in the way the sun run performed. The process was incredibly smooth including things like minor details like replacing a stock when they put in they put in a new electrical panel there was issues with the roof they took care of that as well. I recommended them to my mother and she's also very satisfied. The sales staff and contractors are all amazing and I appreciate that the work was performed in a professional manner and everything was handled very smoothly and I really do appreciate having solar in my house.

All the pricing was pretty much even, but the customer service starting with the sales rep and all the way through the process has been top notch. Everyone is kind and knowledgeable. It was like I was the only customer and they want to make sure everything went right through. The installation went without a hitch and was a lot faster than I thought it was going to be. It was very hands off. I didn't have to do anything, it was just too easy. Everything works perfectly. I've had no issues and it's very eays to understand the app when you're looking at the power or what you're using. Everything is user friendly. Specifically Brandon, my service rep, has been outstanding in this process and I really depend on him. He finds out answers to my questions in a timely manner and get's back to me so he's a top notch employee.

SunRun was able to answer all my questions. The showed me examples of work that they had done. They made sure I had information about solar panels and solar savings. They were quit thorough. The installation process was flawless.They were on time and very respectful of my home. They showed me what they had done after they finished. Everything works the way that it should. Customer service is excellent they are reliable and they're prompt in responding to your calls. About the equipment. The panels are on my roof and we had a horrible storm and I was concerned because my neighbor had pieces of their roof fly out but I had no incident. The other cool thing about SunRun is I had a small stipend for referring other customers to them. I referred them because I thought the service was nice and really didn't expect anything but I thought that was a nice touch.

They're very consistent, thorough, and follow through. The Installation process went very well I think they finished even a day ahead of schedule. Of course being inside the home it's understandably noisy within them banging on the roof however I'm very pleased with the end results. From what I've seen the quality is excellent it performs well. I've seen other systems throughout the different communities and whatnot and different places of business I just like the look and the design of the SunRun system. It's been great. Texas suns are monstrous with the heat but the sun is working in my favor.

They were at Costco and Costco stands behind what they sell at their store. They came out and did the measuring and they came and installed it and took a couple of days and then we had to wait for inspection so everything pretty much went as we were told ahead of time. There was one problem, they came out and fixed it but they didn't fix it immediately it was a few days and we weren't sure what was going on but other than that it was great and they took care of it. Everything has gone really well and for the first year we had a bill of a hundred and thirty dollars but we didn't install it until one month into the year so we're pleased.

I'm a Costco member and I made an appointment with them and when they came out to my home, they were very courteous, on time, and were very knowledgeable. I've had a few issues along the way, but they called me back right away or emailed me back right away and were able to take care of any complications so that's very good customer service. The installation was very smooth and quick. All the gentlemen who did the service were courteous, very friendly, and very nice. They put it up in no time and explained everything to me when I needed to look for it. It was a really good experience. The equipment they put in the box on the side of the house and it's very easy to read the instructions. Everything that they've done has been very well handled. They've been very honest from the beginning.

They kept me apprised of every step of the process and it made it incredibly easy and smooth for me and for my solar panels and power in a very quick time frame. Everything was planned ahead of time and scheduled. They showed up on schedule and everything was done within a couple of hours. It looks great and they cleaned everything up and it was beautiful. Our town inspector came out to take a look and they were very impressed with the amount of solar power the panels were collecting when it was still early in the season, in early March, and that to me was a really good time. These were really great technology.

Everything went perfectly during installation. There wasn't a hiccup in the whole process. They were professional and courteous. They were on time and they got our job done quickly and I'm happy as a clam. They were quick about it and explained to me what they were doing. They told me exactly how long it would take. They were very professional, every single one of them. The system is working perfectly. We haven't had any glitches in the system and I'm very happy with it. We had sort of an unusual occurrence. The day they completely finished the installation, the technician had left and unbeknownst to me, the power went off, but I didn't think the system was working. So I called him and he came back.

Several of my neighbors had already used them so when we heard about them we asked for a rep to come over and give us a proposal. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and not pushy at all, so we signed up for it. I had already bought a solar system for a previous house, so I knew that it could cost quite a bit of money. We really liked the option they gave us of not paying a lot of capital upfront for their equipment. They seem to have a pretty good system to keep you informed through the process. They either email or call on every step of the way. Their construction team was very efficient too and as far as I know they did their job right.

I got interested in solar because I was getting high electrical bills. I had to do something to cut my costs so I went for it. The installation was done efficiently and faster than what I thought. It also had no cost, all I have to pay is the monthly fee. My contract is for 20 years, so for that time I don't have to worry about it. It has cut about 40% off of my electric bill already. The biggest problem that we ran into was with the Homeowners Association. They slowed everything down and stopped us from doing what we wanted to do in our home. I had to go 3 or 4 times and do all these things to get it all approved. I don't think they should even be involved, I mean, I'm putting up panels on my own house, it should be my own choice. Hopefully they can get the lawmakers involved and straighten things out. That way they may realize that, you know, it's the customer's choice to put things on their home. No one else should have to get involved or put up restrictions on what we can or can't do. It should be up to me not the HUAC.
