Our two year old battery backed-up 19 panel system has performed flawlessly. Worked perfectly through multiple outages. Installed before CA reduced the net metering reimbursement, we enjoy much lower PG&E bills. The electrical installation crew was top notch. Pay close attention to the roof guys. Make sure it isn’t inadvertently compromised. Downsides?: poor communication back in 2022. Project tracking was sparse. Schedule delays left unexplained, but in fairness, some of it due to city inspection delays.

In home sales was easy. System installation was quick and professional. System was sized correctly with a couple extra panels for insurance. I pay PG&E "0" dollars during early Spring, Summer, and late Fall months. Very small payments for 3-4 months of Winter for natural gas. 10$ for electricity for those months. Over sizing the system I get credited on my natural gas. My true up fees are "0" $ Completely happy with the system.

The initial customer service person indicated that she would be available to guide us through the process on an ongoing basis. This was not the case. Her availability ended after installation and set up. When I had questions about how to proceed to qualify and apply for SRECs, and federal and state rebates, she took a "not my job" attitude. This left us to call customer service reps for help on how to proceed. It took many months, after several calls, to finally get someone to assist us. Since then, the customer service reps and the few needed customer service calls have been addressed very well. The Sunrun product itself is working as expected and we are very satisfied.

I had SunRun install a PPA system over for years ago. Since then there have been no issues and the system has saved me a lot of money. It’s relieving knowing I can run my AC in summer without incurring any of the utility peak usage. The one time I had questions and had to reach out they were also prudent and answered my questions without having to escalate even though they were technical.

From the very beginning of having solar put on our house it was a great experience. Paul the sales rep was awesome, very helpful and pleasant to work with. The installation team was great. Quick at what they do and left everything clean and tidy. The only negative I have to say, I was told had to be paid off before system could be turned on(was paying in full) then it took Excel Energy almost 8 months to turn it on. Sunrun is a great company to work with.

Likes: Very proactive during initial installation and startup. Dislikes: 1. Installer failed to finish bird screen installation and failed to clean up the bird poop, even after they came back to complete installation. 2. Sunrun mistakenly bounced me to the installer to correct a Wi-Fi connection issue. 3. Sunrun hired a rudely aggressive and dishonest marketing firm to try and sell me an add on battery wall. 4. Sunrun told me the rain would keep my solar panels clean. According to two independent roofing / solar inspectors, the panels need to be cleaned annually.

We love Sunrun solar , but my house now a lot of birds make a nest behind the solar panel because there’s a big space between the solar panel and the roof ( it’s easy to make nest ) , the other house that have the solar panel as well but not from Sunrun there no space , so the birds can’t make a nest . Our roof ‘s dirty n lots of bird feathers flying and on the roof too 😞, That’s our problem .

I have been very happy with my leased solar panels and the energy that they generate. I have had four months of $0 balance due to P G & E this summer. When I have a balance due, the detail pages show that most of the expense is for natural gas, not electricity consumption.

I just checked my system before writing this, it’s running at full capacity. Living in 115 degrees daily. (Palm Springs), it’s more important than ever to have a company like Sunrun that you trust. I was lucky enough to retire early and without solar, it would be a problem to keep my toes chilly.

I absolutely love my sunrun solar! It has saved me thousands of dollars. John guided me to lease the correct amount of panels and I have no PG and E bill since. Loved their customer service, while the process was long because of many bureaucratic steps to get solar running, SunRun was able to alleviate my initial buyer's remorse questions with amazing customer service.
