What I like most so far is that the company is not pushy when it comes to sales. I had a few other estimates and the sales team was constantly calling or texting me about a decision. The install process was stress free since SUNRUN handles every step. The equipment and installed panels appear to be high quality. I like the phone app that allows me to monitor the progress of install and permitting. The app also allows me to monitor exactly how my panels are generating and using power.

I am happy the way the system works now. In the beginning had problems it stop working . Took month to fix. Now I am very upset with the roof. The roofer did a terrible job. Had the ridge vent come off right before a storm. Paid someone to mail back on before the heavy rain hit. The roofer resecure the ridge vent but didn’t take care of the other issues like expose nails, gaps and shingles, and trimmed around the vents. I’m having another roofer to come out correct problems.

To be very honest promises made, promises not kept. After all the we need to inspect your roof, and electrical panel, we filed a formal complaint with Sunrun about our roof having an issue just below where the solar panel was installed, right where a human being would be standing to install the panel and they said it wasn’t their fault. They do not accept blame for damage by their installers. Only if the location of the panel is leaking. They never returned a report and just left us to fend for ourselves. Pathetic! SunRun DID NOT send their own team to inspect the issue either. They used secondary source. And I still do not have the report! We had to fix the roof issue ourselves!

I learned about Sunrun from friends who installed their solar panels system a few years ago. They trusted Sunrun solar panels as they learned about them from one of the Costco stores. I also read some information online about choosing the best types of panels, and Suntun provides high-quality panels using a reliable solar panel provider. Sunrun’s promotional team and customer support are friendly, helpful, and prompt when I ask for referral information. Our sales consultant is knowledgeable and patient in showing us how to look up and search the information of the Rate Change Advisors and how it affects our recent utility bills. He is professional. We had completed a site survey by a Sunrun technician who was professional and considerate. He wore shoe covers when he needed to get into our house. We are awaiting a proposal from the site survey and are excited to have a solar system installed on our roof. -Tsang

I suggest investing in the battery backup as it proved valuable during a recent evacuation due to a fire. I reached out to Sunrun a few months ago to inquire about adding a battery to my solar system. Unfortunately, I never received a response. This lack of communication was disappointing, especially considering the positive experience I had when initially setting up my solar panels. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future to ensure a smoother experience for all clients.
