Brian G

They forgot to install a piece of equipment on the roof for the panels which caused my room to get flooded with water. Now they refuse to fix my floors because it was only damaged in one area of the floor(over 4 laminate planks where damaged). Mind you they haven’t checked the roof plywood for any damage ( I installed the roof in 2022 completely brand new btw). Don’t use SunRun they don’t care about your property!

I am using sunrun since July 2024. So far no one from sunrun has called me to inquire how is the system running. they have done a sloppy job of not informing me about the BUDGET program and I am paying so much for comed now than before and i am also paying for SUNRUN since i lease this service. never have i been so deserted by someone who says they are the best. before the solar was installed i was getting much cheaper electricity bill. i live in Palatine IL and i am very unhappy with their customer support.

They cause my roof to leak and refused to repair it. They told me to pay them 3,50.00 for removal of the panels and replacement. Also the panels has not worked for almost a year and they are still sending me a monthly bill. I was paying 200.plus dollars to light company while sunrun kept sending me a bill for 177. 00 bill monthly. I had to pay them 1,050. To ease the harassing phone calls. Iam sorry so I ever signed up with this company.

If there was an option for half star or zero star that what Sunrun deserved, I have Sunrun solar system since 2018 for the first 4 years it works ok producing as per contract, in 2022 a few technician came saying the system is not reporting and all went down from there for the past 4 years Sunrun unable to fix the system and the entire system is down. Do yourself a favor and stay far from Sunrun, they are using cheap parts and meters if it break or stop working they cannot find replacement.

we just received an SCE electric bill for $4231. Apparently our system isn’t working. We initially installed 42 panels to make sure we had plenty of energy. I’m still attempting to get that technician to the house to find out what the problem could be. Sunrun is understaffed and it takes a long time to even get through to talk to anybody. We are not happy, but hope this can be resolved soon..

Dont get it, waste of money and time. I started the process in early September and they were not activated until june, and in june they started “working” but somehow SCE is not connected with them and i am paying for solar and for electricity and they tell me i have to wait? I cant speak to a supervisor because they are “unavailable” so i at a loss as to what to do. Please dont use sunrun i am Paying 300 more than i did with out solar, make that make sense

Sunrun is very eager to get your business, but after the installation starts the customer service stops! I have been trying to contact the District Manager in my area James M for 6 weeks without a single call back. I HAVE NEVER SPOKEN TO THE MAN. My system has been installed for 3 months now and we can not pass city inspection. We were told James M would contact us and set up an appointment to have an engineer come out but we have heard nothing to date. This is VERY Frustrating that I can’t even get a call back. SUNRUN has terrible customer service after they get your business.

I've had these panels on my roof for like 6 yrs now, and started having roof leaks. when i called Sunrun they never sent anyone out to look at the roof. But wanted to push that my roof warranty had expired 6 months earlier. And are not accommodating with assistance on replacing my roof. Now i have to get a brand new roof and I'm being told i have to pay for the panels to come off my roof.

Sunrun removed the meter from our home in June of 2022. Permanently disabling the system which WAS providing power. It is now March 20, 2024, and the panels have been removed. Sunrun has been billing us the whole time. We are due reimbursement for the power we had to buy over the last 2 years. Nothing but a runaround from Sunrun. They have lied about the progress on a replacement system to the Attorney General of CA, whom we contacted, We are considering suing Sunrun, and probably will do so.

I should have done more research before I signed contract with Sunrun company. Before the installation they promised you everything, after everything is finalized and it's ready to operate, they will ignore you. I have called, text and emails to them and several different people from Sunrun and non of them replied. Avoid this company and do research before you even thinking of calling them.

Charges credit card for high $$ without notice that customer has no clue about Takes months to revert back on a case. They just keep transferring calls from one team to other. I had a $40k system installed in 2021 and all went well until July 2023 when the system failed. I was not informed of this until I got the trueup from PGE with my bill of $3000.00, I finally called them to learn that the system failed in July. My app only told me that it had an error in loading. Why didn't anyone call me, text me, come out and fix the problem. I called in December and they had no appointments until Jan 8, 2024. This is terrible service, terrible app, and if I could return the whole system I would do that. Alice p

The worst solar company ever!!!! They installed the panels and after 2 years, the water started pouring into my home. My roofer checked and the did not properly install the panels and damaged my roof that I had to replace the whole thing for $30k!!! Their response was "We never promised to fix your roof so we are not paying for it"!!!!! DO NOT INSTALL SOLAR PANELS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT!!

WOST Company and NOT RECOMMENDED for SOLAR panels. They started this project on Feb 2023 and still didn't get permission from city. Meanwhile sunrun installed solar panels. I talked to city and city saying sunrun is not responding their queries. so i asked sunrun to terminate my project because of excess delay but they are saying i am liable for the installation. sunrun installed solar panels without getting approvals from city and cheating customers and still they are net able to get permits. so this is not worth for single star also. DO NOT go with SUNRUN.

The installation and customer service are extremely poor. The installation crew was a complete nightmare as they screwed it up, my roofing is leaking by them and I called them to come remove it I’ll fix the roof my self even tho they’re liable for it they send a guy got on the roof didn’t even bother to go inside the attic and then they said ohh it’s not our fault to cover their end , total scam I demand my free temporary removal so I can fix the roof instead they want to charge me 170 for a panel

We were used. The walk around with the original site surveyor had us in agreement where everything would go. Without consultation, the installer team put the panel and battery on the back of the house next to the sliding back door. On a side note, the trained gorillas putting up the panels, trampled my flowers. Not just one or two. The majority of my 'super Bloom's is now either dead or have been almost saved so they can go to seed.

I arranged for a Sunrun representative to come to my home and quote me on a residential solar system. The representative was arrogant and not knowledgable. His approach was to talk a lot of non-sense and try to convince me to overpay. A solar system installed cost should be around $3.20 per Watt. Sunrun wasn't close, and worse they planned to keep the Illinois Shine incentive for themselves! Don't overpay for solar, and don't waste your time with Sunrun.

I contracted with Sunrun a year ago to install solar panels They changed the install plan during installation without consulting me It was a lazy change and with crooked wiring running across my roof. They have refused to fix and now I am going to have everything removed and another new roof installed. Instead of increasing the value of my house it has decreased it significantly The only professional thing about this company is the runaround I get. I am unable to pay as this is a complete mess William Farrell

My system has been underperforming my contract guarantee for over a year. My customer service rep has changed numerous times and my current one assigned doesn't respond to emails. All I've been told is that they are waiting on parts, for a year now, and they will review my account once its fixed. Again, more than a year now. Terrible customer service. Just terrible.

This company is a ripoff. They raised the bill 5 times in 4 years with out warning. They make excuses and blame the customer for everything. They refused to refund the months they charged us because it was our fault the buyer took so long to complete the transfer. They refuse to let you speak to a manager so don’t waste your breath. They ut you on long holds and don’t give you any information. Save your money and run from Sunrun.

With out a doubt the worst company to deal with. They are inept in every sense of the word. They took months to try and fix an inverter problem on my system, resulting in thousands of dollars in true up fees. After 10 months it is still not fixed, and yes still paying high NEM charges through PGE. Numerous calls to their so called customer care results in no action. If you buy anything from these people, you need to have your head examined.

Sunrun is a joke they lie to sell there stuff they told me my solar bill will be 181.00 for 18 months then it will go up to 240.00 but I will get 11,380 back on taxes I can turn it over to them and my bill will stay at 181.00 but the trouble is you don't get the money so your solar goes up I talk to a manager he said we don't say that but I talk to others people the sales man sold to they told me he told them the same thing don't buy Sunrun they will get you
