I was incredibly impressed with Sunrun through the entire process before "flipping the switch" to turn on solar power. It took 3 - 4 months from 1st sales contact to final turning on due in large part to lots of "red tape" with the local electrical supplying company. Sign-off email at completion of installation said to continue watching electrical use during high cost hours. I questioned why (by email), but never heard back. It took my first high electrical bill to sort out just how this whole process works. My last (4th) electric bill was the smallest - $54.00. I was told it would only be about $20 monthly for "connectivity".
I have, also, since been told by a realtor that there will be problems for a buyer purchasing the home if there is still money owed on the contract. I will be 95 at the end of this!
I've since had an issue with some work that a subcontractor did and have had a lengthy process trying to get the issue resolved. The case was finally turned over to someone who would review and get back to me. 10 days later she hasn't called and has not returned 2 phone calls.
Do thorough research before investing in any solar. Don't be fooled by "there's absolutely no money out of your pocket".

Have gone solar since 2/17 and the panels have produced what was promised. Our home is 2500sf with a split existing a/c system (2) outside units. When we purchased the house in 5/16 monthly APS bills averaged about 350$$ a month in the summer and appox 275$$ a month in the winter. We have found that for 8-1/2 months our APS bill is appox 35-50 a month mostly taxes etc. The other 3-1/2 months we're averaging appox 175-325 APS bill. Our goal was to average about 200$ a month year round. We're not quite there yet because our existing A/C units are 13 years old and one will get replaced this winter with a new efficient unit. Anyone thinking you will get 100 percent away from APS forget it they still bill you for many different things. So in a nut shell we're getting what was sold to us and am satisified. Hopefully with the new A/C unit our summer rates will decrease.

I researched a lot of solar companies. I asked many of my friends that had solar installed. At that time, 2014, there were very few that offered a PPA plan. Sunrun was one. I talked with their Rep. He was very helpful and informative. I was convinced the PPA was for me. No cost at all. How could I go wrong to not cough up 20 to 30 thousand dollars for a loan to own and maintain my system. With the PPA plan Sunrun takes care of everything. I recommended Sunrun to my friends. They were equally happy with all the results from Sunrun. Thanks guys!

We went thru Costco for the extra security. Sunrun's installation was neat, well organized and well coordinated with a new roof we installed at the same time. We chose a lesser percent (roughly 75% of our previous years usage) and have now gone almost two years and our balance with the electric company is under $100, when our monthly bills ran $265 on average. Great experience.

Since that initial meeting, I had it installed and he recently visited to ensure the system is meeting my expectations and provide more general information about solar energy. So sorry for those folks who had a bad experience with this company. I am very pleased with the installation process and my saleslady was and is very professional. Inspection scheduled and then an ok to turn this system on. The crew who did the installation was quick, professional and cleaned up everything. All concerns were addressed and taken care of. They first installed new roof tiles where the panels go because my roof tiles have 10 years left, and this is a 20 year installation project. All went well.

We finally jump on the band wagon to get solar in our lives. We decided on SunRun Panels after talking to several neighbors that had experience with SunRun and other companies solar products. We did not go through SunRun directly, but a contractor that installed their products. The panels are beautiful and very efficient. The installation was on time and very quick, only one day for 14 panels. We are looking forward to adding our first Electric vehicle to our family and going solar seemed the right choice.

I can only rate Sunrun on the installation of my panels so far,the team of Highpowered, did an excellent job on the installation, yes there was noise (to be expected. They left their work area clean of debris, and all the men worked together very well, (pleasant surprise). I am in the process of waiting for the final inspections to be done before the system is turn on. So far so Good.

I opted for Sun Run because they were promoted and backed by Costco. Their salesperson was knowledgable and honest, and I investigated the panels they were offering and they were very efficient, though maybe not the absolute best. It took a couple of months to get all the local and state approvals and for the panels to arrive. The installation went pretty quickly considering there were over 30 panels (I wanted to cover Tiers 1 and 2 - we are with LA DWP) and I went up on our flat roof a few times to take pictures etc. They finished their work and replaced carefully all the tiles that had to be removed to access the roof safely. Here is the good news/bad news. The day after they completed, it poured buckets. I woke up to find a waterfall in the family room because two of the anchor holes they have to drill to protect their workers on the roof, were not plugged like the others. The good news part is that we discovered the problem right away and they came out to verify the problem and temporarily stop the holes. They also stepped up to pay for the cleaning of the Persian Rug, the sofa, refinish the wood table, refinish the entire wood floor in the family room, gave us $350 in gift certificates as additional compensation. So although they made a terrible mistake, and we were inconvenienced for several weeks, they took charge and provided first class service to fix everything. After five months of use, no problems, and my electric bill has been the minimum $11/month fixed fee, and I have accumulated credits to use if I go over my production. The communications during this process were quick and regular. I have read the other reviews and most of the unhappy ones were from the East coast and not from California or the rest of the West, although many had no geographic identification.

It is early on in my SunRun journey. I've been Solar for only one month. But, this was a very easy transition. I was supported through and have had an easy time getting answers to all my questions. I have been using my solar system designed by SUNRUN since January 2017, 6 months. After several delays in installation, I am happy to see results now, more than 200 kWh weekly. The ideal is to produce what we use to avoid the high bills during peak usage in hot summer months in Arizona. Currently I have produced over 2000 kWh in excess of usage. That should allow us full use of our central air without high monthly bills to our electric company.
I must also say that most of the problems we encountered were due to the age and structure of this house. When the inspector failed the completed job, SUNRUN stepped in & worked directly with the installer and me to get our system working. Their customer service department was excellent in follow up throughout my frustrations. I am also very satisfied with my sales rep throughout. He continues to be available & interested in any questions or concerns I might have about my system and it's impact on electric energy consumption.
Lastly, I love the mobile app that SUNRUN has linked to my system enabling me to monitor production by day, week, month and year. It is fantastic!

We are fairly new as our system started up in late October. But....so far, so good. I have no complaints what so ever. We loved working with Joe A (Solar Universe). Wonderful man! The only issue to remember for those interested is that the "day" your power turns on is your actual billing date, and cannot be changed. Other than that, this is a terrific company, way better than other's I looked into. Highly recommended. Thank you all for a positive experience.

Have had Sunrun for 5 years, the system has paid for itself. Between the Srec's and credit on my PSEG electric bill my savings have paid for the system. It helps in the summer by shading the roof and keeping the attic where my AC air handler is located cooler and to protecting the shingles from the summer sun. The house is worth more when you tell the buyer you only pay to rent the electric meter and at the end of the year you get a check for over producing that just about covers the meter rental.

I've had Sunrun since May 2016. I have to say from the initial call and to this very day -they have been outstanding. Whenever I need something I call the person who got me started with Sunrun, Tom H. Tom is beyond amazing. Any issues, concerns, referrals, or even just to say hello-Tom is there for you. My system has been running since May and everything is good with it-no complaints. I did my homework before choosing a solar company and Sunrun is the best.

I loved the experience of the delivery of my new Solar System. The entire process was great, starting with Hannah in sales, then the Hotel installation Team. I had a small problem in the beginning, but the Project Manager, handled it immediately !!! They made me feel like, my opinion mattered. So... for that reason, I have already referred a family. Sunrun..YOU ROCK!!!

The entire experience has been totally positive, from a knowledgable and informative sales rep, Laura N, to my coordinator, Crystal, the installation team, New Team and the follow up from customer service to make sure that everything was working as well as assuring me that I would get prompt service if I have any future questions or issues. Now, I am anxious to see my power bill after a full month of solar panels working hard to save me $$.

This company has high expectation for their work, Scheduling, and neatness in what they do in all aspect from the sales person to the end. I ask question they were answer or I will give you the answer in a few days. I ask for a hoody with their name on it was mailed within three days to me at the house. I am proud to advertise the company that is going green for future generation.

Great service on Oahu. Went the Prepaid lease route and from $350/month to less than $20/month. Had to move off island after about 2 years, sold the house very quickly (less than a week) due to the great solar installation. Transfer to new owners was impossibly easy. Looking to build a new home and will definitely be contacting SUNRUN again! One inverter failed, SUNRUN immediately replaced it and refunded the cost of the grid's electricity during the short wait.

The salesman (Mark C) was top dog in helping with everything. He answered every question/ concern many times over and over. Customer service was there to help with every need we had even the dumb questions. I would recommend them even before seeing all the results. They were very professional with the installation and clean-up and showing us all the panels and boxes, then explaining how to turn it on when the inspections were completed.

We interviewed 4 companies before we chose SUNrun. They were flexible and let us choose the more efficient panels, they also had 3 payment choices for us; to own outright or to lease over time. The math worked out and we're able to save about 40% off our monthly bill. Installation was quick, professional and efficient. Overall, I'd recommend them for any residential installation.

I'm a Connecticut customer & have had nothing but a positive experience with SunRun. Any delays I had were not Sunruns. It was waiting for local inspections. My area of Connecticut had a New York team install. They were professional and did a great job. Explained each step as they installed. It took a full day but I then had to wait for local inspections before I was activated. Very happy with SunRun from the sales team to install. I checked out 3 companies before going with them. They had A+ rating with BBB.

I was considering purchasing or leasing a system through another company, but after listening to one of the representatives from Sunrun that was canvassing in my area I decided to go with the PPA program that they were offering. The system has been installed for three months and I couldn't be happier. I am producing more electricity than what I was originally quoted and the customer service has been extraordinary. We had a very positive experience with Sunrun. The first dealing was with a very informative representative . He took care of us every step of the way. Melissa was the project director and made sure we were kept up to date from the first inspection right up through the installation, startup and still checks in on us. We received our first month bill from National Grid $0.00. We even got a $38.00 credit with a week of rain. Very happy with Sunrun.

We've been thrilled with our Sunrun (then REC Solar) system from the very start. The initial conversations were pleasant, the installation was painless, and the system has performed to expectations from the moment the switch was flipped. An added bonus is that NJ SRECS were $115 a piece when we signed the papers and are now close to $300.
Don't hesitate to look into working with this company.

I highly recommend Sunrun Solar. The people were great and constantly followed up-from the sales person to the project manger to the installers.
Their product looks great. They are the only solar people that agreed to do the installation. I contacted 3 other companies and they turned me down due to trees.
When i spoke to the sales person, he investigated and they offered me a 70% savings on my PSEG bill. They have more than delivered. My Electric was $2.43 which is going to allow me to live in my house after retirement!!
They take care of and monitor the performance of their panels 100% which I love.
I gave a 9 because they keep all the rebates. Considering what I have in return it's worth it!

I had investigated three providers and interviewed them all. The choice was very clear once I had talked to all of them. Sunrun staff were by far the most personable, friendly and knowledgeable about the process and what to expect in regards to the PPA, installation and operations as well as what to expect from PG&E. The installation crew was very fast and efficient. They took time to explain what they were doing and what to do once the panels were in place. All in all, a very good experience and good for our world as well. System is up and generating power as described. Go Sunrun!!

Very actively informative on the progress of the system build, up to the time it's on the grid. Follow ups making sure one is happy with their new system. My wife and I chose sunrun because they were advertising in Costco, and they use only the best products. After having the rep. out to my home and were quoted almost half the price as all other solar company's, we new we had to try them out. Installation was a breeze no problems at all. The foreman for the job was always here. I have a flat roof on my house, so I was worried about leaks and Mother nature gave it a trial run, and we had two leaks which were taken care of quickly. The drywall was replaced and repainted by sunrun.

i got in contact with sunrun because i wanted to become more energy independent. Living tied to the grid was becoming somethat of a nightmare. Huge energy bills during the summer, not much smaller during the winter. I became more and more concerned with the carbon emissions comapanies like NVenergy were putting out, so i decided to do some research. I found out that by installing solar panels coupled with a battery backup essentially i could be living off grid. Sunrun has helped me with the process of installing solar panels on my roof which is helpful to not only my wallet but the enviorment. The 100 a month payment is music to my ears compared to the amount i was paying during the summer with NVenergy. The only reason im not giving sunrun a 10 is because there were difficulties with some of the incentives i was supposed to be receiving which i still have not received. Im leasing the panels but i do plan on owning them in the near future. Thank you sunrun for helping everyone.

I had Sunrun install my solar system about 2 years ago. I only had 2 problems - 1. the system went down and they fixed it immediately. 2. had a pigeon problem; they installed grating that prevented the pigeons from nesting under the panels AT NO CHARGE!!! I would definitely recommend Sunrun. Note: some months the power company owes me money for the solar energy produced.

Our 4th year with SunRun. Absolutely delighted with our system. My initial worry was it would be so complicated. Not at all! In our case, we leased the system, but by doing so we reduced our energy costs by 50%. Plus it's nice to get a check from the power company each year. The environmental savings are off the charts. It also allows us go use things like an electric lawnmower instead of gas. Our next car will be electric too. Why not? We have the power!

The process was flawless and everything explained thoroughly even though I may have asked several times, even came back to house to explain meters until I truly understand. From beginning to end the experience was painless, all contractors involved were professional and friendly. I have recommended them to anyone who wants to go solar. I went live in April 2015 and have saved over $500 dollars so far . I can't say enough about them. Any one wanting Solar check around but you will end up with Sunrun in Las Vegas NV.

We interviewed 5 different companies before making our decision. Some were a definite NO- was like dealing with a time share sales force. The representative at SunRun answered all of our questions and concerns. No high pressure at all. The staff at Sunrun kept us informed throughout the entire time. The installers were courteous and professional. The install went very smooth. We are now waiting for NVEnergy to install the net meter..

Installation was done by 2 teams in less than 4 hours. Have had solar for 4 or 5 years. We prepaid a 20 year lease. Our electric bill has been less than $10 since system was activated. Mostly we are paying the service fees and taxes charged by APS. Only complaint is panels have not been cleaned since installed. When asked I was told no need to clean since we are generating more than was estimated.

I have had my soar system for 4 months now I dont own it and it has almost cur my bill in half
I received a visa card for $2200 on signing up and out of pocket expense was $50 for gas n electric to cut power n re hook it up to a brand new 200 amp panel
I had no problems and everything was done on time and professional no complaints at all I would recommend Sun Run to everyone

I have had Sunrun solar for a year now. The company is totally outstanding. I own my own system outright and have no monthly fees or finance charges. There is a twenty-year warranty that is transferable if I sell my house. My electic bills went from $240 per month to $40 per month. My return on investment is 25% per year. There is no where else I can get that kind of return on my money. I would recommkend Sunrun to anyone. It is a great way to save money while also saving the planet.

So far, I am satisfied with the process. The initial sales person was knowledgeable. Her co-worker, the one in charge of getting the installation going was helpful and answered all my questions. Once my new roof was installed, I had the roofer check with Sunrun installers to make sure they were using the correct flashings with in installing the solar panels. My roof's guarantee could not be in question.. Delen and his team Bobby, Ron, and Arash did a fine job with the installation. As of April 1, I am totally solar powered.

Sunrun was prompt when showing for installation. The professionalism was outstanding throughout the total installation. It began with introductions of all the installers then a total explanation of the install followed with a discussion of the location of the panels to be installed. Before the work started all the installers met and talked about the process followed by a through safety meeting. This impressed me very much. The install started and was completed in one day. Very much surprised and impressed. Thanks again to the crew Travis S., Kris B., DJ, Thomas and another Travis.

REC was our solar installer - pro group all the way. Excellent experience with REC and Sunrun at all levels of management, from workers to managers. Great customer service! If someone doesn't have the answer they find someone that does. Very refreshing and unusual in this day and age.
Have had our system up for over a year now and it is exceeding promised production. I love the $7.83 utility bills every month for most of the year.
