Our roof was leaking but we could not afford the $13,000 cost for replacement – we heard we could get roof replaced if we went solar – we called several solar providers who said we did not qualify because we had too many trees – and we would need to remove trees at our own expense before being considered for solar – and while this was happening our heating/air conditioning system began failing and needed to be replaced at a cost of $12,000 – it was an overwhelming situation – that was until we met with Nick Z of Sun Run – he arranged for the needed trees to be cut down and stumps removed – and he arranged for a new roof of our house – and all the work was done quickly and professionally – we then get solar installed and are currently awaiting required inspections before being turned on. We were paying Atlantic Electric $180 a month as part of a budget – and that is what we will now be paying SunRun instead – and we just received notice that because of usage our bill with Atlantic Electric is now increasing to $240 per month – fortunately once our system solar system is turned on our bill with Atlantic Electric will just be $20 or so – and $180 to Sun Run – so our monthly cost for electricity will be $40 less per month – and since we now have a high efficiency air conditioner our usage may be less than what we generate and therefore will get a refund from Atlantic Electric. I can’t say enough good things about Nick – he was able to completely change our situation – we now have a nice roof – a yard that can grow grass and a garden – and will be paying less for electricity now and for the next 25 years – he was kind – efficient – professional – responsive – a joy to work with – I am forever grateful to Nick and SunRun.

Outstanding service and communication from first call to completion of installation and activation! We had a dedicated contact person (John K) that guided us through the process from day one. He explained the system and options. Contract process was simple and understandable. We had options to choose from to determine the best pricing structure that fit our budget and expectations. Installation crew was professional, friendly and receptive to my questions and suggestions regarding final placement of panels and installation. Coordination with our electric supplier was very smooth. Looking forward to watching the system generate solar energy credits to offset all of our electric demand.

I'm so thrilled with my Sunrun experience. At first I was the biggest skeptic. I was sure there was some angle where the company was getting the better of me, but after multiple spreadsheets, due diligence and some serious tire-kicking, the Sunrun deal turned out to be as good as they said it was. My rep, Damian, was incredibly attentive and worked with me every step of the way. His high integrity and great communication made the entire experience enjoyable. Now I'm the cool kid on the block with my snazzy new solar panels and Tesla Power Wall. As everyone else's PG&E bill continues to skyrocket, we're basking in the Sunshine of a locked-in low monthly bill. It feels like I'm the one getting the better end of this deal.

BMW Development development

SunRun is a scam. Be prepared to pay HUGE, as in thousands of dollars for a tru-up at the end of the year. Our supposed lower PG&E bills have over doubled since we got the system. We went through SunRun because they were in Costco and we trusted them. They got the sale and now we are in a really bad spot financially because of it. I would do your research very carefully before using them. They are no longer in Costco because they are horrible!

Brian G

They forgot to install a piece of equipment on the roof for the panels which caused my room to get flooded with water. Now they refuse to fix my floors because it was only damaged in one area of the floor(over 4 laminate planks where damaged). Mind you they haven’t checked the roof plywood for any damage ( I installed the roof in 2022 completely brand new btw). Don’t use SunRun they don’t care about your property!

I am using sunrun since July 2024. So far no one from sunrun has called me to inquire how is the system running. they have done a sloppy job of not informing me about the BUDGET program and I am paying so much for comed now than before and i am also paying for SUNRUN since i lease this service. never have i been so deserted by someone who says they are the best. before the solar was installed i was getting much cheaper electricity bill. i live in Palatine IL and i am very unhappy with their customer support.

The installation process with SunRun was efficient and professional. However, the lack of clarity from the salesman regarding costs has led to higher expenses for me post-installation. If given the chance, I would reconsider signing a contract with SunRun due to increased electricity expenses.

I've been waiting since January for a problem to be resolved, and it's still not taken care of. The installation was done years ago, so that's not the issue. The real problem lies in their poor customer service. It's frustrating to deal with a company that doesn't prioritize resolving issues in a timely manner.

I was misled by Randy H. into believing I would receive a promotional $1,000 check for signing on with Sunrun. After installation, Sunrun had no record of such a promotion as it relates to me. Also, most do not benefit from what was said to be a 30% tax credit from the government. As a retired/unemployed citizen I pay no taxes and so I receive no tax credits or any hope of $1 back on my investment. If Randy H. would have told me this, I would have never had Solar installed and I would have avoided arguments with my justifiably incredulous wife. Also,, if one does qualify for tax credit, they only have 5 years to claim it. In most cases people do not pay nearly enough taxes to claim the full credit. For example, if you install a $50,000 system as my neighbor did you would qualify for a $15,000 tax credit. This means that unless you usually pay $3,000 when you do your taxes, you will not receive your 30% back in 5 years. As I see it, if you are in less than an upper-middleclass income bracket, you should not go solar.

This could be a GREAT company. It's their customer service that is horrible! As of Sept 10, 2024, now over three years since I signed up with them, the install is not finished. I have tried and tried to get a service person to come look at what's not finished or working, and customer service will not send someone out. I now have the California State Contractors Board working on getting them to come out. There is so much more I could add to this, Like how I wrote a letter to the President of the Sunrun, her office didn't even reply. Or, I had missing stucco around my electrical box outside for 28 months. Backup battery not connected to my house. The sad thing is, I had two other houses I was going to have them install solar. And the rating stars below, if they would have done there job in a timely manner and customer service would have treated me as a valuable customer, they would all be 5 STARS! So be very careful if you use them!

Unfortunately, I have bad experience with Sunrun. My bill with Edison was $150/month or less during the year and $600 to $800 during July and August. Now with Sunrun, I am paying $221.00 to Sunrun and $50 to $100 during the year and $500 to $600 during July and August to Edison. I spoke to the sales manager, and she gave me a SMART idea, I should appreciate her and Sunrun about her advice and mentality, she said: "you can turn off the refrigerator if you think it will increase the electric bill" . I reached out again to my Sales rep. and he helped me to get in contact with a Manager from Sunrun, her name is Yosselin. She tried with a professional way to show me that the solar system is working good but my consumption increased. Then she suggested to have her team call me to add more Panel and for sure pay more and she reached out to me in June 24, 2024 saying the Team will call me and till now 8/26/2024 end of Summer 2024 I didn't hear back from Sunrun Team. I won't recommend the service of Sunrun for anybody. All that happened around June 2024 and till now

The installation of solar panels caused extensive damage to my roof and resulted in a costly replacement of a window. Although the customer service representative was helpful and reimbursed some of the damage, the overall experience was marred by the lack of accountability from the installation team. The positive aspects were overshadowed by the significant financial burden I had to bear due to the damages caused during the installation process.

I was not informed that I had options for the panels I was only given lease choice. I was told I can have them removed anytime , I called and was told to ready contract. I had 4 trees that were blocking panels in morning hours I showed proof and did not get help only if I would recommend client and installed was offered 1000. I paid 4500 got the tree removed and now I was producing almost double. I was told I was getting what I was supposed to. Yet still getting bills everymonth light company. I like the way customer service is I like that my bill is at a certain rate all the time every month I like when I have a problem I have no problem getting answer. I like how the whole process was set up if anybody ask about my panels, I would share that information and try my best to convince them that is the way of the future.

great product. i only wish that they werent so insistent to not overbuild the system. you can always add panels later, they said. BUT not without negating the terms of the original install. It was pretty bad advice.

SunRun Solar representatives turned out to be a whole lot better than expected. After talking to neighbors with solar systems by far SunRun exceeds them. No issues from start to finish. Dates for preparation, installation and up and running were right on time as promised. Neighbors have taken over two years to get approved and running.

My entire experience with Sunrun has exceeded my expectations. The installation process was uneventful. My expected power production has met the plan exactly. The one service call reponse I requested was immediately addressed and the minor concern resolved. I recommend Sunrum 100%.

I liked that they took time to explain the process and what solar panels could do to lower my extremely high electrical bill living in Phnx., AZ. And, they are right!!! Everyone living in extreme heat should have solar. It has saved me $1000's for my electric.

Currently doing a purchasing power agreement and it’s way cheaper than paying for solar that the electric company. People I know are paying over $500 a month for electricity and I’m only paying $160. Plus, I had no out of pocket expenses getting solar installed. Would highly recommend using Sunrun Solar.

My house has been using solar panels from Sunrun for two northern Colorado winters now. My electric bill has only twice but above $8.65, but twice I received checks from the electric company for supplying them. My solar bill is constant. I’m really amazed that I don’t see solar panels on every home here in Colorado.

Sunrun did everything they said they were going to do. As of this month Tucson electric power owes me money. I can’t tell you how much I love that however it took a long time to get the solar set up as Sunrun and TEP could not agree on the correct configuration, my system went online in July after several months of negotiation with TEP overall I like the system. It seems senseless to not have solar in Arizona.

After talking with multiple solar companies we decided on Sunrun and have not looked back. It was no pressure and they answered all questions. They kept in constant contact with us during the entire process and follow up was incredible. That was over a year ago and they still keep in touch. The difference in our power bill is great!
