I wish there was more immediate information on their site, My Sun Run, available to me. I know others who have Sun Run and they can access all kinds of real time information, how much they are producing, what amount APS is buying. I find all I get is bare bones information, How many Kwh produced the day before.I find it hard to judge what kind of service I am getting with such limited information.

Scheduling for the construction process took longer than I had expected. Required a second inspection which could have been avoided in my view. The partnership with Costco required full payment (financed) before construction would begin even though SunRun didn't get paid until after final inspection. Costco paid a 3% rebate however. I was told that the conduit would be painted to match the house and that never occurred.

So far everything has been pretty smooth. We don't have any problems or issues. Everything seems to have worked out. We like that SunRun covers the services along with our contract so we don't have to use the leasing program.

I have noticed a difference in my electricity bills during the summer months. Yes, I have to pay a fee in order to use SunRun each month but it is a steady amount. The electric bill changes from month to month. Just recently, both the gas and electric bills have increased. I'm glad that I signed up for SunRun when I did.

We signed up for it because of a friend's referral. Basically, we wanted to save money and be self sufficient. Their installation people should make sure that everything is plugged in and working before they leave though. When they did our installation they forgot to plug in one area of the roof and we kind of missed out on a couple of weeks of energy.

My experience with them has been very positive. I had it installed in my previous house, I had just decided to try it then and everything worked very well. The installation was good and it saved me a lot of money. So, when we moved to another house, I just looked them up again and had it all installed. I had a young man come by and talk to me about solar. At that time California had a thing where, if you put solar on your house, they would re-evaluate your house. I told him to bring that to me in writing to make sure it was all true, he did, and I went ahead and put the solar system on. He was a very good and knowledgeable young man. The installation people were very good. They told me what was going on and did things right on schedule. After that they gave me a website that I can go to to check how much energy my system is generating on a daily basis.

Both myself and my neighbor experieced the same issue. All the 'engineering', permits, etc was completed. Equipment and installation crew arrrived at both of our homes, only to see the crew stand around for 2 hours and eventually leaving and taking the equipment back with them. Zero confidence in this company.

So my solar panels have been down since 9/21/25 they are just 25 month old as I was sold in August 2023. The panels are producing a 0Kw since then. Sunrun has raised my rates each year, and refuse to prorate my monthly bill this month. I have an appointment on Oct 17 to "fix" whatever is wrong with them so that is almost a full month that I will not have the service I am paying for $196.80/mo as of today. Please rethink using these guys. They are guaranteed not to lose more than 10% of what the panels can produce and mine are not producing at all here in AZ. Big regrets for signing up.

Sunrun Solar is the worst solar company. There are thousands of complaints against them. Their business practices and contracts are being investigated. They do not pass the CA tax credits on to their clients. The company keeps the tax credits. Don't even know how that is legal? They have the worst customer service. Their Escalation department is a joke. No matter the issue, they take zero responsibility. The customer is NEVER right according to them. There are so may Facebook Groups with thousands of complaints. And there nis no clear way to file complaints against them. There are Class Action Lawsuits against them. I definitely feel they are scammers. The industry needs to have clear complaint process for customer complaints. The CSLB - Contractors State Licensing Board in each state is a good starting point to file complaints. I started a Facebook group - Sunrun Solar Nightmares - Central Valley. There are at least a dozen or more FB groups with thousands of complaints. And still nothing gets done. I have filed at least 20 complaints with various organizations. Most just forward the complaints to Sunrun's Corporate Headquarters in Utah. I have dealt with at least 6 different people in Sunrun's Escalation Department. They are useless. Their contract states that "Sunrun offers a Performance Guarantee. If your system does not produce the power output guaranteed in this agreement, we will refund you for lost power." It also says they will "Monitor the system constantly." They will insure, maintain, and repair the Solar Facility at no additional cost to you including inverter replacement. Their rep showed up at our home and said our invertor was underperforming and he was replacing the inverter the following day. His exact words were "You don't have to be home. You won't even know we were there." He shut our solar off and then never showed up to replace the inverter. I found out when I received a $3700 bill from Edison. They reviewed our account and said we were not on Solar for 8 months. Sunrun guarantees they will "constantly monitor your solar." They obviously do not, or they would have known or solar was not operating for 8 months. They were 100% negligent and refused to cover the cost of their mistake ($3700.00) They offered us $500. I refused it. I have been researching their company and all the complaints. I cannot comprehend there has been hardly any action against this company with the number of people complaining. I submitted my information to Top Class Action Lawsuits. They are working on a class action lawsuit against Sunrun in California. I do research every day on this company. I will not stop until they do the right thing. And I wll assist others that cant get their complaints resolved.

We had our install in May 23, 2025. The install of he batteries interior and exterior appear to be completed properly. They matched our siding and brick with the casings the cabling from the roof to the batteries perfectly. However our roof was damaged during the install. We had a really bad rainstorm here in Lynwood Illinoi's shortly after the install. We contacted our rep at Sunrun and a appointment was setup which was a not show no call and then finally the Sunrun roofer showed up. We called a roofer who took pictures of the damage to the roof shingles, which we shared with the Rep. Tonight another rainstorm and Yep at 1:45 am the bathroom cam lighting is leaking again. Sent and email with video to the Rep. Will update this review with action and timeline of the companies response to this roofing issue. Just got our first bill 7/6/2025. Not so "Amazing".
