Sun Run was one of two solar companies I looked into. I picked them because of their affiliation with Costco. Whenever there's been an issue people got back to me promptly and resolve any issues. The only thing is I was under the impression that our utility company was going to pay us for excess production. Now that's been called into question and I asked Sun Run to look into it but nobody's gotten back to me.

Haven't run into any issues with the equipment - so far it's running well. I had to check on their installation work and constantly monitor. They want to run the conduit right above my living room and it would be ugly. So I had to ask them to route to the top of the roof so it's not visible. That's the only thing I didn't like about it. I'm glad I caught them before they did that. A while back I received an email that said my bill was going to increase from $105 to $157 - when the contract said I would only have a 2% increase annually. So I called the rep, and the rep said that the price was wrong. I asked SunRun to confirm and they said they don't know how the $157 got sent to me, but they didn't want to confirm the new price of $107.

Prices are probably a little bit higher than some others but once you factor in everything I am quite impressed. Everything was finished extremely well, I had a neighbor put in solar form another company and that took as long as a week. They are very attentive and dealt with an issue with out homeowners association promptly. There are some glitches in the app and it's not really up to date but everything I purchased was state of the art.

Sunrun has been very responsive. The installation was nice and smooth, it only took about one day. The equipment runs well, we had a couple of issues but someone was able to run those details and now everything is going perfect. I like that is backed by a warranty. The only thing is that we feel we got short handed on the loan aspect based on what the salesman told us.

For instillation they showed up when they said they would they and did it, I believe, in one day. They took all of the pictures of the roof tiles before they started they took another set after they finished and got it up and running and approved by electric. Then they came out and fixed any ones that were broken. They did everything professionally and right away. There were just a couple little items that came up but they were right on top of it.

We had trouble getting the approvals from another energy company because every time they would try to get it put up they came back with some other kind of lame excuse why they wouldn't approve it. So yeah, SunRun did a fine job. I've had no problems with the equipmant at all. It produces energy and my light bill is virtually nothing. I've already recommended it several times.

They've been responsive and anything that's come up on they have taken preemptory action to ensure that the system continues to operate efficiently. Instillation went fine. People showed up when they said they would and they did the installation very quickly and efficiently. There was one minor glitch that they corrected promptly because they were monitoring the system and realized that something that wasn't working right so they came out and fixed it before I even realized there was a problem.

The salesman that came to my home was very thorough and explain all the details and how it works. He was very good which is why I choose SunRun. The instillation went very good. They were very neat and clean. They even laid out tarps when they went in the attic. I've had SunRun for about four years now and my electric bill has gone down, especially the months like spring and summer with air conditioning and stuff. So, I'm really pleased with the money I save.

For instillation they sent out their crew supervisor who came they and went very quickly. They were very organized and professional. They completed walking us through and explained what they were going to do. Then after instillation, they explained the whole process once again and how everything works. Our bills have been nonexistent so I mean we're getting a good return on our investment. During the whole process support information was provided and the follow up on on everything has been very good.

I chose SunRun because I checked some reviews online and I was impressed they actually offered leasing plans. They we were very clear, forthright, and honest about what the whole process was going to be like. The instillation process was just very professionally done and they were very interested in making it look good on the outside which I really appreciate. They rearranged the panels a different way so it would look more aesthetically pleasing. I thought was great that they really are concerned about how we're actually living with these panels.

They went up on the roof and put every solar panel in one by one. Then they did the electricity really well from that from the basement o on up to the top of the roof so it was definitely a professional job.

We got it because it was offered through Costco. Our representative was very responsive and answered all my questions in a timely manner. When we decided to add another panel, he had no issues making the change. They also reached out to me before the end of the year for purposes, to make sure I had the amount I needed to claim my credit on the federal tax return. Everything seems to be working great and installation went very smoothly.

We had it in our last home and it was a pleasant experience so when we bought a new home we called the same man. Anytime I have any question in regards to the sale of my house and getting it set up in the new house, they were very helpful and tell me every step. They have done everything they said they would do and I didn't have to do much myself. Everything was installed on the roof and in just a couple of days and the man from the electric company made sure everything was done right. I haven't saved sixty to eighty dollars on month on my electric bill yet but I am hoping I will start saving soon. I have recommend it to some family and friends.

They have a better plan and a better team to put the solar panels up the other companies. It is good equipment and it is all made in the US. Their customer service is persistent and they get right back to you. There were a few glitches but they fixed that immediately. The price could be a bit lower but with the cost of installation and panel it's probably within market value.

They were with Costco and I know that Costco only uses the best and does a lot of research before they have people come in and sell their products so I knew it had to be a good company. Their customer service kept me in the loop about installation, which was done within three to four hours, and if I had any questions they were there to answer. The solar product seems to be working well in my house.

Superb Customer Service and Product! Mike T was so awesome; the way he described the features and the payment options of our new Solar System. The process to install was also quick and easy. Finally, the crew came out, made sure the roof was ready for the installation, and we were good to go very quickly. He followed up to make sure we were enjoying our new system soon after. I'd recommend SunRun to anyone wanting out of paying exhorbitant fees for electricity!

They offer a lease instead of buying the solar panels. We had a lot of difficulties at the beginning with installation and getting it all set up with the power company but they were very supportive and helpful. Their equipment does not come with fencing to keep the birds away so we had to have somebody come in and put wire around the outside and I think that should be part of the equipment.

I'm satisfied, it seems to be a good investment. The equipment works well. They did a good job with installation, they stayed with it until it worked. There was some delay in getting started but once they started it one or two days for the actual install and there was a problem and then it took two or three day for the tech change and it has been fine ever since.

The people are great. Problem of reliability. First experience of losing PG&E line power, SunRun system went DEAD, (this is with battery backup). Eric (SunRun) engineer was able to troubleshoot the problem to 9V battery that powers an electronic computer board made by Solar Edge. Solar Edge was suppose to be monitoring our SunRun system but did not catch this problem. It seems the only way to verify that our system is working is via actual power outage and not through simulation (which is done when checking out the system; ie: turn main PG&E power breaker 'off & on'. We will not know if our 'solar system with battery backup' is actually working until we have an actual PG&E area power outage, which would only happen during some disaster, ie; power lines down, flooding, etc. This is not a good time to verify an emergency power backup system. Hopefully SunRun will remedy the design issue with Solar Edge in the near future.

I have 10 years of experience in the solar business. I'm an independent business owner that represents Zoom Solar and they use SunRun to do their installations. We already had a SunRun run facility in Bethlehem and I wanted to talk to them about getting another one installed up in Lake Harmony. It seems like they're not up there yet though. The representative that we talked to was very good. They were very professional and proactive when I called in for information regarding the process. From start to finish that takes about 3 months, with most of the process being related to permits. I feel very good about working with them. Since I work for Zoom Solar, I get a residual income every month for using the system.

When I moved to Phoenix I had a lot of companies come by offering solar. At church I actually talked with someone that turned out to be the manager for SunRun. Since I hadn't been around for too long, I wasn't really eligible for solar but once I hit the one year mark I talked to the SunRun manager and got everything figured out. All around they did a great job, everything was done seamlessly. I met a lot of representatives and they were all very polite and professional. They're extremely busy so sometimes it took them a little while to get back to me, but they always called back. The welder installation team did a fantastic job. There were a lot of things coming onto the roof and they did a very professional job. My electric bills are now lower.

Eric, the representative that I talked to, was absolutely perfect. He came all the way out of town substituting for someone else and did a great job. We were just interested in solar, but we had heard horror stories from other people that had used other solar energy companies. The customer service rep that we talked to as very enlightening though. He came out to our house and explained everything to us. In the end we just decided to go with Sunrun. So far our experience has been excellent.

They sold me a 2G/3G communications module in 2022 when 3G was officially obsoleted. It has now stopped communicating, and they are charging me $300 to upgrade to LTE. They do not warranty any of their equipment if you buy it.

It's already been a year in my Brooklyn New York house that we had a problem with some power repairing our house on East 28th Street and Avenue R in Brooklyn these people promised me to dig in a fix my SunPower cuz one of their electric fuses is no good we've been waiting already one year still paying for some power monthly even though our lawyers are on top of it this is the worst company don't ever do business with them again ever these people are supposed to be shut down they lie to people they take your money they'll never get anything done if you have anything broken

If there was an option for half star or zero star that what Sunrun deserved, I have Sunrun solar system since 2018 for the first 4 years it works ok producing as per contract, in 2022 a few technician came saying the system is not reporting and all went down from there for the past 4 years Sunrun unable to fix the system and the entire system is down. Do yourself a favor and stay far from Sunrun, they are using cheap parts and meters if it break or stop working they cannot find replacement.

This is a critique of the new roof, solar system installation, and follow up customer service. 1. The new roof, installed and guaranteed by Sunrun, has been leaking for over a half year and Sunrun has done nothing about it. 2. I was told that installation of the panels would be facing due South and tilted 20 degrees for optimal performance in Hawaii. The panels were installed due West and tilting 8 degrees, nowhere near the optimum orientation. 3. I have been trying for over two years to get Sunrun to correct the orientation issue with no corrections made. 4. I have been trying over 6 months to fix the leaking roof with no correction being made. 5. Until these issues are resolved, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Sunrun to anyone looking to install a photovoltaic system. In fact I would recommend you run the other way.

If I could give Sunrun "Zero" stars, that is what they deserve. This is the third residence with a Sunrun system. Started with them 2011. They are NOT the same company as far as service as in the past. Most recent system was installed October 2023. Nothing but trouble from the start. Inverter and battery replaced within a month. Battery was programed incorrectly and just exported its contents to the grid each night within 2 hours. Constantly called customer service and just got lip service and mis-information. System has now been completely down for two weeks. Still trying to get someone out. Appointments are scheduled but no one show up. Just given excuses but then told that my case was escalated to priority. Makes no difference. No help from regional or district managers.

I've been a member for 14 years, my system originally costed $54K and I've paid on it all this time. It has been down for 8 months with no repair happening anytime soon. All my efforts to get this system repaired has been in VAIN. THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALTH WITH. I now just want out of my lease so I can move forward with another vendor. They claim I still owe $50K after 14 years of payment to get out of my lease for the last six years. NEVER USE SUNRUN. All they every say is it is escalated and for 8 months nothing happens. I am also very concern because I am on a well and must have electricity but where I live Edison can go down regularly and without solar I don't even have water. This situation does not even phase them.

This company deserves ZERO stars. I have been trying to reach someone regarding removal of the panels so that my roofer can install a new roof. NO ONE has called or emailed me back despite multiple attempts (more than 10 times) to get this service scheduled. This has been going on for several weeks. I have NEVER experienced such POOR customer service in my life. Sunrun apparently just wants to collect its monthly fees and is absolutely not interested in providing any customer services whatsoever. It is obvious that money and profits are the only thing Sunrun cares about. It is mind blowing how little they regard they hold for their customers. It is equally stunning how such a pathetic company was able to become the country's largest residential solar company. I'm certain there are many third-world companies worldwide that are providing infinitely better service than Sunrun. NO ONE COULD POSSIBLY BE WORSE. There is a very good reason why Sunrun consistently gets abysmal ratings on multiple consumer rating sites. Any 5-star reviews are highly suspect and are likely posted by company employees. I am completely regretting ever having heard of Sunrun and urge anyone considering signing up for Sunrun to AVOID SUNRUN LIKE THE PLAGUE. You'll thank me later. Trust me.

I don't hear much from them, making it hard to judge. We still have bills from PGE and SunRun. The service was good overall, but no, I wouldn't recommend it.

The installation of solar panels caused extensive damage to my roof and resulted in a costly replacement of a window. Although the customer service representative was helpful and reimbursed some of the damage, the overall experience was marred by the lack of accountability from the installation team. The positive aspects were overshadowed by the significant financial burden I had to bear due to the damages caused during the installation process.

The service did not meet my expectations as it was supposed to help with my electricity bill, but I am still paying a significant amount. I feel disappointed as it has not provided the assistance I was hoping for, and I am still paying for additional charges on top of my regular bill. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service and do not feel like it has been beneficial to me.

I had a positive experience initially, but it went downhill when I needed to contact management. Despite promises, they never followed up on an incident, leaving me feeling neglected and disappointed. Overall, the lack of communication and accountability was very disappointing.

great product. i only wish that they werent so insistent to not overbuild the system. you can always add panels later, they said. BUT not without negating the terms of the original install. It was pretty bad advice.
