I had a frustrating experience with the lack of follow-up calls from the company. While the installation process was satisfactory and the team did a good job cleaning up, there was an oversight in the design phase resulting in insufficient panels. As a result, I still have to pay my power bill every month, which is disappointing.

The customer service experience with Sun Run was disappointing. While the installation team did a good job, there was confusion regarding the billing process. Initially told there would only be one bill after the second set of panels were installed, the customer now faces the inconvenience of managing two separate bills. This lack of clarity and unexpected financial burden has left a negative impression on the overall experience with Sun Run.

great product. i only wish that they werent so insistent to not overbuild the system. you can always add panels later, they said. BUT not without negating the terms of the original install. It was pretty bad advice.

For the years 2022 and now 2024, Sunrun solar is more expensive than pulling off the grid. We live in Az and Sunrun customers for 10 yrs, initially the system was fine. But as it ages and breakdowns occur, the responsiveness is extremely poor (no correspondence, months of delays in repair) . This is the second time our inverter has gone down during the summer months and currently at 3 months (April through June) and still waiting for repair. The Sunrun end of year true-up for shortages is about 66% less than what the local power company charges us for electricity. Over 10 yrs we are averaging a savings, but have lost money 2 of the last 3 years.

SunRun Solar representatives turned out to be a whole lot better than expected. After talking to neighbors with solar systems by far SunRun exceeds them. No issues from start to finish. Dates for preparation, installation and up and running were right on time as promised. Neighbors have taken over two years to get approved and running.

The technicians were able to quickly identify and fix the problem with our system, which turned out to be a faulty wire. They efficiently resolved the issue by using an alternate wire, and our system has been functioning perfectly ever since. The installation process for SunRun went smoothly, and I am satisfied with the outcome. Overall, I am pleased with the service provided by the technicians and the performance of the system.

Installation crew conscientious and clean. Listened and responded to feedback and suggestions. On-site crew explained all the equipment and operation details. Sunrun handled the local permit process. Also followed up after initial installation with a "how is it going" visit. Made one service call to correct issue detected remotely---without my having to contact them. So far trouble free, and I frequently have a negative balance from the electric company.

I have been extremely pleased with all aspects of my experience with SunRun — from the installation to ongoing maintenance and great power generated. They called me when their system detected an issue rather than me having to hunt them down. I am so glad I elected to keep them as my “utility” company rather than owning the panels outright. I’m still paying off a much older set of solar panels that are 1/2 broken, and the company I worked with then is out of business

We weren't crazy about the sales rep that came to our house, but in spite of him we went ahead with the solar installation. They were easy to work with and until the installation was completed there was a single person to deal with if we had any questions or concerns. We had no electric bills in the summer months, but did have them in the winter. Having said that I also have to say we had a lot of cloudy days and more snow this past winter than usual.

Sunrun was absolute on the mark! I had Sunrun install solar panels on my rental property. Tenant utilities are included in the rent, so it was a no-brainer to have solar installed to help with my expenses. The savings are significant. Have had Sunrun for three years now and it’s worked great so far. A lower and predictable monthly bill; and the few times we’ve had blackouts, the back-up battery has kicked in nicely and we appear to be the only house on the block not sitting in the dark. Buddiee de la G. is awesome, friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable of Sunruns solar panel products and is able to answer our questions easily. Sunruns service has been topnotch and has communicated to me where we were at with the process every step of the way, and would recommend Sunruns (and Buddiee specifically if he is available!) to my friends and family with bo hesitation!

I enjoyed working with Johannes throughout the entire process, from conception and design to the final installation and fully operational status of the solar system. He, and the rest of the Sunrun team made me feel confident in my decision to lease a solar system with them. I look forward to a positive experience with the system now that it is up and running, and hope that the support I experienced over the last several months will be there for me in the future.

There's a coordinated effort between Sunrun, the financing entity and the stakeholders (city permitting, electric service delivery entities). This made the process go smoothly. The Sunrun team was accessible to us and set expectations appropriately. The system is running well and we're able to track usage and savings. Note that the initial system installation was about a year ago and we are seeing savings. However, we added a battery and more panels during the last month. We think this will make a big difference in our savings with the electricity provider.
