I am writing this review, hoping it gets to the right people. I would like Sunrun to know that if it was not for Dylan M. going over and beyond to help my wife and I with this project, you would have had extremely dissatisfied customers.. I am writing this review, just a little background on myself. I am a Building Inspector and have been familiar with Sunrun for sometime now. I have personally inspected numerous projects from the High Desert, Rialto area, Chino Hills as well as Anaheim. Having said that, I know the shortcomings of Sunrun as well as the positive aspects, but having been an inspector, on so many projects I just need to air out my concerns and complaints, I am greatly disappointed in the installation and the customer service.provided. I was contacted by Sean K. with Sunrun on a couple occasions regarding getting the project signed off with the inspector . I explained to him my concerns of things that were not correct . The matter of the way he handle it was very disappointing. He was very nonchalant and. dismissive. There is much to say and better explained by phone or in person than in an email. With that said , I have 30+ years experience as a electrician who has owned his own business, who was ran the field and who is currently also a building inspector. I believe I know what I’m talking about and when you have a person on the other end of the phone who’s telling you that he contacted the foreman on the project and he said everything was fine. It’s pretty incredible knowing that he is not on site and he is not looking at the problems that I am looking at. The panel was not put together with the screws on the dead front, there was K.O. seal missing, there was pipe work on the roof that was not connected correctly as well as the surge protector not properly installed. The pipe work on the exterior of the house is not level and is not bent properly and is basically a pretty poor job. Most people that are getting solar installed in their homes do not have the wherewithal or the background to understand what is being done in their home. They take it for granted that you guys as well as the city inspectors are doing their due diligence but as I know as an inspector as well as you, things get missed, but it’s how they get addressed or fixed is the problem. Sean Kilgore did not like obviously to get question or call back or text because he did not and refused to answer any text once he knew I had a complaint about the project. All I was asking for is to get it correctly fixed and have awareness for future projects. I finally had to reach out to Dylan and basically plead my case with him because I had no idea how the system was going to work. I was not getting any calls back from the proper people who should be fixing these items or at least hearing my concerns, but having said that you guys have an outstanding employee who cares about customers or I should say customer care, customer satisfaction, and he’s building relationships when you have a person like Sean blowing you off as if you don’t matter, and as an inspector being in the field, dealing with solar Contractors, that’s typically what happens once the project is installed and sign off you hear nothing but crickets that’s gonna prevent someone from giving you guys kudos and letting other people or potential customers know how great they were and how great everything was put together. You have my phone number and my name and I would be more than happy to get a call from someone in a higher level that maybe would address these issues and problems and even visit the site so maybe they can be schooled on what’s being done out in the field and how you guys can have happier customers. I’ve been on many jobs and I’ve seen some pretty bad stuff that yes it will pass inspection but be the aesthetics are horrendous and there should be a roving person in charge that checks these projects to make sure they’re being done correctly aesthetically as well as by Code. So once again, in closing, I want you Sunrun to know how comfortable, and at ease Dylan has made me feel and also how professional he was during this whole fiasco. Dylan stood by his word and made sure that I was a happy customer. Thank you, Steve
