ION did a very good job from start to finish. Everything was explained thoroughly by our sales rep, Brian S. When I was unsure of whether we were getting a good deal, he encouraged me to get a competing quote. The competitor's price turned out to be almost exactly the same per kWh. However, they were suggesting we get many more panels than we really needed, and their communication wasn't nearly as good. Brian wanted us to feel good about our ultimate choice, and we did. Communication throughout the purchase, design, installation, and inspection phases was frequent via email, phone, and text. Now I probably have too much fun looking at my app to see how much power we are producing each day!

OUTSTANDING SERVICE. I normally don't entertain people coming to my house trying to sell a product. I will say I have always thought about getting Solar because it makes sense to me however I never knew what company to trust and from my past experience most sales people are scams. When Mr. Ryan H of Virginia Beach, VA came to my house in February 2022 I was ready to turn him away but he was so nice and professional I decided to hear him out. After the initial meeting I decided to have him come back the next day to give me more information on ION Solar. I am so glad I did, he was the most professional and friendly sales guy I have ever met. He came in set up his laptop and went over every detail any questions I had he answered. Unlike most sales people they are pushy and they have no idea what they are talking about they just want to sell you a product that they don't even believe in. He was so educated on ION Solar even I was impressed. That day I decided to get ION Solar thanks to Mr. H and I am so glad I did. With most people who sell a product after you purchase the product they are selling you never hear from them again. Mr. Ryan H stayed in touch with me through the entire process ensuring I was happy with ION Solar. I had no issues with install and or inspections the communication with the entire company was nothing sort then excellent and professional. I am writing this review today because I received my first power bill from Dominion tonight as where it is normally $200+ today it was a today of....... $1.71 yes ONE DOLLAR AND SEVENTY ONE CENTS. Now I did have a $5.55 credit from the month before so in reality my total bill is $7.26. AGAIN THANK YOU MR. RYAN H for helping me and my family invest in our home. YOUR AMAZING.

There are a lot of solar companies out there with better reviews and name recognition…but I’ve a personal connection with ION solar because they’re honest and upfront with the pros and cons of having a solar energy source. They don’t try to sugar coat it. Lori did a great job connecting with me even on unholy hours I called or texted her, she always response back. With big project like this, they make it smooth and street free as much as possible for me and my wife. They really care for their clients as individuals investing hard-earned money with them. They handle your finances with sense and respect. I would like say more but the space is not enough. Not to mention, the installer is professional even communicating with through text. They’re all well trained and look like they like their company ION. It makes the big difference!!!

The introduction to a residential solar power system was very good and the teamwork of each individual made the experience exceptional. Communication with the customer is a priority. Site inspection was excellent. Installation was efficient and well organized. The administrative paperwork process was well coordinated. Communication by the local government and power company were the only points where being patient was required. Permission to operate the system took the longest time, but once that notification arrived the wait was worth the patience. The system installed has produced great results, I’m looking forward to longer daylight hours which will increase productivity.

The Ion Solar team were great to work with. It took a few months to get the ball rolling and the correct approvals, but once it was in place, the install team came out and set up all of my solar panels. It takes another month or so to get the local utility company to connect, which can be frustrating, but I've they did, Ion was great about coming back out to make sure all of the connections were working and syncing on the app. I've had them now for a little over a year and my electricity bill averages 0 dollars in the summer months and up to 30 dollars a month in the winter. (Keeping in mind that I pay a flat monthly fee of around 150 or so each month to pay off the solar panels... But that's half of what I was paying the utility company previously!... And the payment doesn't ever go up because I'm just paying off the solar panels.)
As a reference, I have about 23 panels on the south, East and Western facing sides of my roof... None on the north, and there are no trees in the way. Ion estimated that I would only price about 60 percent of my electric usage based off of my geographic location, so I've been thrilled that I'm producing almost 100 percent. You can also sell back some of your over production to the utility company for pennies on the dollar (optional).
I think the hardest part of the whole thing was waiting for everything to get hooked up and connected and the stress of not knowing how much energy we would produce. So far, so great! I got mine at the end of 2022, and they were connected and running by Feb of 2023. I got a tax credit incentive for installing them, which was an added bonus! I'm a very happy customer!

Mitch was the absolute best in explaining everything about ION solar. Once they got started it was smooth sailing. Continuous up dated, emails and calls. Keeping me posted on the installation process. As time progressed. Everything was quick. Surprisingly, even with connection with Dominion Power. If I had any concerns at all. I just sent Mitch a text or email and he was on it and got back sometimes with the hour. I couldn't have ask for a better response. I cannot say enough good stuff about how ION and Mitch with their customer service. OH!!!!!! The solar unit works great. I saw lower AC bills and now that it's winter again. My electric bill savings are phenomenal.

Everything we were told about Ion Solar was factual. We appreciate that our electric situation was analyzed and the needed number of panels were installed. Nine months of the year we use no electricity from the electric coop we are required to be connected. In the three months of summer when we use more electricity due to air conditioning our bills are still minimal. We are very happy that we switched to solar with Ion Solar.

I first met with ion back in 2019. The salesman was very informative. I was happy with the process. Everything was explained and the installation went off without a hitch. I was so satisfied that I purchased additional panels through ION in 2021. That installation didn’t start off to well but not at the fault of ION. ION communication was great every step of the way. From the time the ION walked thru our home, we were really taken by his personality, friendliness, expertise and was not a pushy salesperson. He explained everything very detailed and worked with our budget. It was a smooth transition, that we ordered another set of panels 3 years later, to become fully solar. Both times the transition was smooth sailing. We are pleased with our panels, the savings are amazing. No electric bills. We also have been able to sell some of our energy every month. I was very impressed with how ION managed the install of my system. Everything was completed in one day but the part that took forever were the 2 inspections done by the city permit and Nevada power. If I remember correctly that tool 3 months before the unit was on line.
ION calculated I would need 10 panels to provide enough power for my usage. My average electric bill was 65.00 winter and 120.00 in the summer. Now with the system my bills are 20.00 in the winter and 75.00 in the summer.
If you are thinking of having a system installed for saving money, your not because I financed everything which for me I pay 121.00 a month for 10 years and adding that to the electric bill my monthly budget for power is greatly increased.
The only difference is I'm buying something and not just sending money to the power company.
After 10 years when the system is paid off I will save money monthly but the warranty is 10 years so who knows how that will go.
My other concern is later if I have a problem with it will ION still be in business and if not who will I get to service it?
Over all its a great thing to add to your home but if your trying to save money---your not.

What can I say that would better help you the reader understand the delight it was to work with ION Solar. EVERYONE, from the initial person knocking on my door, to the support team now years after install, have been nothing but helpful and great. I have heard plenty of horror stories from my neighbors and family about the companies they went with. While I just brag at the excellent customer service and quality product they provide. Most of my neighbors have had 1-2 repairs or replacements with their solar panels. They did not go with ION like I did and now suffer. I was the first to install and tried to recommend to everyone and have had NO ISSUES. Now my neighbors constantly tell me “we should have gone with your guy”

I definitely appreciated the speed of service and the kindness of everyone involved! Knowing that the installation of solar panels could help offset the skyrocketing electrical bills came as a relief. The only downside so far is that the panels have not completely balanced my energy bills as we first thought which has resulted in slightly higher combined monthly bills between Ion and the energy company, though we may have increased our energy usage (I really don’t know either way).

White glove service, advanced design, best technology. Joe was very knowledgeable, explained all the considerations and why ION chose their approach.
We also talked with Costco/Sun Run and felt that not only was ION’s product and approach better, but the cost was much lower … than Costco!

Ion Solar has been very easy to work with. They had some problems with a couple of their sub contractors, but were extremely responsive in correcting the issues. Also after installation one of the panels was not producing power like the other 20 panels. They sent out a tech who assessed the situation and after some trouble shooting replaced the defective panel. In addition while replacing the panel there was some damage to the vinyl siding. They arranged for a company to come out replace the entire wall of siding. Very professional and responsive.

I was surprised how easy it could be to get solar installed on our house. ION Solar works with you to determine the best location, they will reinforce your roof (if necessary) and will do all of the work to install solar panels, including educating you and how the process works. I especially like using the app to see how much money I am putting back into the grid, which saves me money on my electricity bill!

ION Solar does great work at a good price. It did not take them long to install my solar system. I was surprised how fast they did the installation. I have an extremely low power bill because my system generates more power than I use. I believe the small about monthly $16 fee is for monitoring the system and local taxes. I am happy with the system. Hollie is very good at explaining everything a customer needs to know about the installation cost, the installation time and how the system works.

I was approached by several different solar companies due to my house being in a prime location for the sun. However, John presented things in a way that was completely different from the rest. Once I accepted, ION made the process so easy. I received texts and could track the progress with their app. The installation guys took my OCD into account and made sure things were neat, the outside boxes weren't positioned and looking crazy, and painted the pole going the side of my house to match my vinyl.
