I’m happy with the whole process. Kim and her team stayed in communication throughout this entire process and not once did I get a headache or agitated by something that didn’t go right. They have made this process easy and quick!! It was all done in one day, when the workers had to change the layout of the panels they made sure to involve us BEFORE completing the job. There was no hassle with COMED.

Ion solar installed our solar panels ten years ago. They are terrific. Electric bill in summer went from over $300/month to zero and still is. After we found hail damage to our mostly flat, Southwestern roof we had a new roof done. Ion removed the panels and reinstalled them. Polite, efficient. Completely satisfied. I really liked how I knew when every step of the process was happening and I didn’t have to be home for any of it except for one thing. Definitely love the savings. I’m still paying a small bill however it’s better than the $235.00 I was paying. I’m paying a little less than a 1/3 of that. I’d definitely recommend investing into solar panels. Ask for Tyler D.

The timing ION's promotion team was perfect. I've considered solar/green energy, but didn't have a reference. Presentation included factors on install, finance, home survey, etc. Communication is absolutely consistent with inspections, HOA, documents, scheduling, etc. Installation and electrical was amazing! Still can't figure how so few did so much. Neighbors were asking questions well before completion. Happy to finally be able to utilize the amount of sun/heat after all these years. Thanks, ION!

From there the customer service team has been very responsive, friendly, and helpful. We contracted ION Solar in July of 2024 and installation was complete with turn on from our electric company in early November 2024. We are very satisified with the operation and energy savings of our panels. Although not perfect, ION solar is the only company that we would recommend to our friends looking to move to solar.
The longer story:
Our home:
We have a less than optimal roof for solar. Our roof faces east to west with steep pitch
that shades the roof. Additionally, the west side of the house is butted by large trees. Therefore, we needed a fair amount of panels or produce the electricity needed to fully supply our needs. Electrical billing in 2025 was changing such that it was a big financial benefit for us to have the installation completed by mid December of 2024.
ION solar was only one of two companies that were willing to bid our on project. We went with ION for two reasons 1) we preferred the technology and warranty with their panels 2) we trusted the salesman who only wanted to sell us what we needed and not extra capacity (which we could add on later if we needed). We trusted ION's engineering to size us correctly.
We are 6 months into operations and things are running very well. The first four months are the lowest quarter of the year, so we are underproducing what we need, but March/April looks like we are well on track to be self-sufficient.
The installation itself was not problem free (therefore only 4 stars instead of 5) and it was often difficult to get a timely replay to quesitons, but everything was resolved in the end. Every other friend of ours that have installed solar has various installation. issues of one sort or another, so I think this is fairly typical.

Ion Solar did a great job of installing a solar system that has worked perfectly for almost 3 years! They were highly efficient and professional and took care of all the permits and paperwork. While their claim that my rebates would pay for the cost of the solar panels were optimistic, I came out ahead as electricity costs keep rising. My monthly payment is $76 for the panels and my actual electric bill is only $15.47 monthly. Combined, both payments are far less than I'd pay if I didn't have the panels. I haven't regretting my decision for one second! They did a great job!

Ion walked with us thru the entire process. They kept us informed from the pre-install thru the install process.
It did take a couple of months for completion but with the inspections and weather delays it was about what I was told.
Overall it was a good process and since they have been installed this year has been a break even plus about one electric bill.

We initially had a contract with another company and they didn't contact me for several months so we switched to ION Solar and they paid the cancelation fee. They were quick with the process. It only took several hours for the install. The panels look nicer than the older ones with the grid pattern I've seen on some homes. I'm still waiting for the inspection from the utility company but don't anticipate any issues.

My experience with ION Solar has been great in all stages. Shaun/Megan are the sales representatives that first came to my house and explained all the process, assessed my capacity needs and presented a competitive proposal and helped with the finance process of the project as well. ION Solar took care of everything, including city and suppliers permits. Installation was clean and fast. In all the years with the solar system I only had a panel disconnection which was addressed immediately.

Great Company! Everything Jarrell stated would happen, did. At the time I had my Solar installed I received a 30% tax rebate from the government on my tax return. It took about 8 months before for me to understand the relationship between ION Solar, Dominion Electric and myself. Since then my electric bill has decreased approximately 75% and once or twice a quarter Srectrade sells power as my representative back to the power company. It has truly been a win, win situation!

First of all, I love the results. As soon as my system was activated I saw electricity use (and PNM bills) cut in half. That was in winter near the shortest sun day of the year. I can't wait to see results in mid-summer.
Secondly, the installation by Ion solar was quick and trouble free. It was completed as projected and expected.
Thirdly, I anticipate that 40% of the cost will be recovered as federal and state tax credits on this year's return. Ion made sure I have everything I need to make that happen.

Dalling did a great work that finally jolt me to decide to put solar panels. It reduced my electricity bill down from around +$100/month to $20/month. I would do that again. Solar panels quality and installation were impeccable. Of course, if you live north, like Colorado and beyond, they become covered with snow, blocking electricity production, but not all the time.

I’d have to admit, I was hesitant about getting solar panels because of how it looked on others homes. With Ion Solar, you can pass by my house and can’t even tell I have them on both sides of the house. Others are bulky and sit so high it take away from the design of the home. Recently made decision to install Solar Panels and chose ION Solar as our provider. The process was seemless. They were professional, they communicated clearly every step of the way and completed the project in a timely manner. Since we received the ok from our existing power provider to turn solar system on, we have been a net exporter to the grid and we’ve been seeing a solid C02 reduction. Too soon to make an assessment of how it will work through an Oregon winter, but so far we are very pleased.

Everything we were told about Ion Solar was factual. We appreciate that our electric situation was analyzed and the needed number of panels were installed. Nine months of the year we use no electricity from the electric coop we are required to be connected. I first met with ion back in 2019. The salesman was very informative. I was happy with the process. Everything was explained and the installation went off without a hitch. The entire process was smooth. We weren't pressured to purchase, we were informed and educated about options. They took my desire for where to place the panels into consideration based on future trees I planned to plant. They even adjusted the plan to make sure it wouldn't impact my landscaping.
