Do not choose ION solar. They will boast about their BBB rating but if you take a close look their rating has been steadily decline and their are numerous complaints on the BBB website. Don't make the mistake we did and believe the positive ratings, they are all false. We bought a solar system from ION not fully realizing what we got ourselves into. They locked us into a contract then installed an inferior system that barely produces the energy our home needs. Contacting ION is next to impossible as they rarely respond to emails and when you call and finally get someone they will promise to call you back but never do. Then we were told we had to purchase additional panels and batteries at almost double the cost of what we were originally charged in order to meet our energy consumption needs. So now we're $40k in the hole with a useless solar system. There are much better solar companies out there who will not try to rip you off. We had solar in NY with Momentum Solar which was a much better and more transparent experience.

They have been very helpful. There was a time, a couple times where it's took a little while to get an answer, but other than that, pretty solid. They scheduled us for date to install and they were able to come out and just get everything done in one day for the most part. Obviously we had to allow access into our home and things, but it's pretty easy, and pretty efficient. There was one thing they had to come out and do again based on an inspection from the county, but other than that, it's a very simple process. It's been great equipment. I haven't had any issues with it so far, its been very easy to understand and we are definitely getting the benefits of the panels.

ION Solar made the whole process of getting solar panels installed and financed super easy. Spencer did a really terrific presentation that made every detail easy to understand. Something that I really like is the app that one can install on one’s phone where one can track the entire process from paperwork to installation, then an app also shows exactly how much energy production is occurring daily. Pretty cool. Granted, I don’t know the science behind all of it and can’t give you a ton of scientific data, but I the only part of my utility/electric bill I pay every month is the connectivity charge that keeps me connected to the grid. That’s it. Period. Even in the summer when I happen to run my AC or my holiday lights at Christmas. ION will assess the solar needs of your family. They made it easy. Everybody I have worked with was super professional, friendly, and respectful. I’ve heard of a lot of hassles with other companies in the area, especially after our torrential hailstorms, but my solar panels came through completely unscathed.

I generally don't do reviews. Ironically, I give reviews a great deal of consideration. After extensive research and after interviewing seven Solar companies, we decided to go with ION Solar. The professionalism and personal attention was head and shoulders above the rest. The genuine integrity we encountered during the entire process was more than we expected. Every objective our Energy Consultant discussed prior to, during, and subsequent of the installation was accomplished. The ION team kept us informed during the entire process. The level of stress associated with this endeavor was absolutely zero. Eric, our Energy Consultant along with Sophia, our Project Coordinator, were there for us during the entire process, literally just a phone call away. The inspector, the design team, the installers, and the technicians were incredibly professional, courteous, respectful, patient, and proficient. We were thoroughly informed and kept abreast of many significant details associated with our Solar project. This team was virtually surgical in bringing our green energy system to fruition. We were treated as family. Every question or concern was treated with the utmost respect and attention. To Sophia, Eric, James, Tony, Jeremiah, Ron, and all who contributed, we give ION Solar a "�Two Thumbs Up"�. I'm very, very happy with their service and the products. And I really appreciate the fact that they brought wonderful financing to me since I had, had a bankruptcy and the financing allowed me within a shorter period of time, just two years after the bankruptcy was closed, to be able to qualify. They have microprocessors for each solar panel and that enables easy diagnosis in case something goes wrong. They came up with a plan for the solar panel. They got the plan approved. They came and installed everything in one day. They were very easy to work with, they were very efficient and I couldn't say more positive things about them. They were excellent.
