Worked with me to get the panels installed quickly prior to me leaving for a deployment. I did have a couple months every summer that I continued to have an electric bill, but once I updated my AC units to energy efficient units, I have not had an electric bill, which is awesome. Have not had any issues with my panels in these first 4 years. Very happy to have gone with Ion Solar!

I had multiple bids from several residential solar companies, and ION was the only one who was able to match my monthly system cost w my historic electricity bill. The team even went above and beyond by replacing my main service panel 2 weeks before the scheduled solar install when I experienced an electrical failure on my old panel, which saved me a ton of money. The installation of the panels was super clean, with all conduit runs I highly recommend ION.

I have had ION Solar for five years now and have realized significant savings on our power bills. When I have had any technical issues, they have sent knowledgeable people out and have fixed the issue. If there are any negatives, it's time to get folks out after you request a service call. It ranges from a week and a half to two weeks. With that being said, the equipment is very reliable and the folks on the onine and in person are very knowledgeable . I have recommended them to friends.

Perfect execution. Everything was taken care of including; initial survey, permits, HOA permission, replacement of meter, certification with power company, etc. Installers were professional and respectful of my property. Neighbors had other companies and issues with each one. Each time I had an issue, someone was there next day to correct.
Only complaint is that the necessary instrumentation was not included to monitor both consumption and production

Love the solar system! Communication was excellent throughout the whole install process and everything went very smoothly. Not the cheapest in terms of price per kilowatt but still a good overall system.
My main motherboard did go bad about two years later. If an electrician was going to be sent out to troubleshoot, I would have to pay for it. I ended up troubleshooting myself, contacted the manufacturer and received a replacement part and installed it myself.

Switching to solar is a vote for the future and your wallet. Ion explained everything perfectly and followed up on all the details. There are a lot of steps to the process but it was all smooth and simple and almost nothing for us to do on our end. Now our power bill gets lower every month- $7 last month and that even includes AC! Do it now and take advantage of tax credits !

I want back & fourth on the decision to go solar or not, interviewing multiple companies & sitting through their pitch. But I knew right away when Rich & his team came to see me that there was no pitch at all...just upfront honest answers to my questions & concerns.
I had 31 2kw panels installed 4 years ago & have been enjoying a Dominion Bill Free life since.
In the event I do receive a small bill (usually $8) it doesn't bother me because I sell my excess solar credits back which more than covers it.
In 2023 some squirrels chewed up some wires to 2 panels, within weeks Ion had them back up & running, all covered under warranty...
Solar might not be for everyone, but it is definitely worth the twenty minute conversation with your local rep.

Sales person Tom was very knowledgeable about the complete project from installation to payment methods and rebates. The electrical installer was real good too. He explained a lot to me as he went along. The rooftop guys were good also, but I must say I was a bit disappointed with them because I explicitly asked them to be careful about the roof tiles (concrete). They told me all was good when they were finished. Well, not so fast. Long story short, 6 tiles were broken, and, they were discontinued from the supplier come to find out. Ion's general fixit dude tried like heck to find some. No luck. One of the installers did find some that were close, so we swapped out ones from under the panels. All and all, the system has been working flawlessly, so it's all good. They put in an effort to make it right. I wouldn't let that stop me from recommending Ion. If you have a tile roof, just be aware. That's all.

We were paying about $175.00/month for electric for our home on Oregon. We are not extravagant with our usage, but rates keep climbing. We had researched transitioning to solar and after discussing our options thoroughly we decided to go with ION Solar. We were completely happy with the entire experience. Everything g was laid out clearly, timelines met and the technicians were fantastic. Our county inspector said that they did an extremely good job on the install and also mentioned that "we never have issues when we inspect ION installs". BUT the best thing is this....our electric bill is routinely 12-15 dollars/month!

ION Solar truly simplifies the entire process. They’re a great company to work with—thorough, professional, and attentive every step of the way. From the start, they clearly explain everything and walk you through the process so you always know what to expect.
Their customer service is outstanding—responsive, helpful, and quick to answer any questions. On installation day, they ensure everything is done right, and if something isn’t, they address and correct it immediately. For example, I noticed a few panels were missing bird guards; they came out the very next day to take care of it.
When it came time to file taxes, they made sure I had all the necessary documentation and even guided me through the process of claiming the solar tax credits at both the federal and state level. (Note: This doesn’t include preparing or filing your taxes—just help with the solar credit portion.)
ION Solar is a fantastic company, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering solar for their home. And honestly, if you’re not looking into solar, you’re basically giving money away to the electric company. Make the switch—add solar, and start earning credits back.

ION and Dividend Finance did all the paperwork making the process easy. The install crew did a great job, they were thorough, courteous, and cleaned up well. The system looks good and works well as anticipated. I was disappointed at the routing of the conduit on the outside of the house. I had discussed what I wanted with the electrician before hand, but he didn’t do it that way which would have minimized the conduit exposure on the outside of the house - an eyesore. They did a worse job on my neighbors conduit installation. I also didn’t know that a third party would manage the SRECs, and I would be paying them to do so.

My guy Preston came knocking on my door as per usual when you buy a new home, lucky for him I was in the market! I had signed with another company prior to his arrival but he took a look over my contract and pointed out that the other company wasn’t even selling me a solar system!!! I was essentially renting them. He quickly advised me on how to get out of that contract and for LESS than what the other company was charging me, I was able to get a bigger system and back up battery using BETTER technology. I knew nothing when it came to solar products and I am extremely grateful that Preston got me out of a potentially nightmare of a situation. I had a few issues with my panels when the system was first installed, but they were quickly remedied. I would contact Preston at the craziest of hours due to my own work schedule and he never failed to answer my questions, regardless of how many times I would ask the same thing. I’ve had the system for a few months now and have no complaints! The back up power has came in handy for a couple storms and random outages and overall our family is very happy with our system.

So excited to finally have solar! We've been wanting this and talking about it for years and Ion finally made it happen! They were generally responsive to our questions and very patient with all of your spreadsheets and annoying questions. Our Energy Adviser, or primary sales POC, was Griffin M and he sat with us for several hours over multiple days patiently going through all of our engineering spreadsheets and detailed questions. He was very honest and straightforward with us and if didn't know something he would go find it out in a reasonable timeframe. Can't appreciate his work enough.
There were a few times where we had to go back to the design team with concerns and we had to delay the installation to get the right numbers for our power home usage but they ultimately worked out well. Because of all of our questions, it was maybe 3 months between contract to install but the actual install was done very quickly, within a day. We did have to wait a few weeks after install to turn the system on but that was mostly waiting on city inspections, permit, and power company permissions.
We do appreciate the Ion Solar app which allows us to monitor our system performance on a daily basis and we are already seeing power go back to the power company ~20 days after install :).

There are a lot of solar companies out there with better reviews and name recognition…but I’ve a personal connection with ION solar because they’re honest and upfront with the pros and cons of having a solar energy source. They don’t try to sugar coat it. Lori did a great job connecting with me even on unholy hours I called or texted her, she always response back. With big project like this, they make it smooth and street free as much as possible for me and my wife. They really care for their clients as individuals investing hard-earned money with them. The introduction to a residential solar power system was very good and the teamwork of each individual made the experience exceptional. Communication with the customer is a priority. Site inspection was excellent. Installation was efficient and well organized. The administrative paperwork process was well coordinated. Communication by the local government and power company were the only points where being patient was required. Permission to operate the system took the longest time, but once that notification arrived the wait was worth the patience. The system installed has produced great results, I’m looking forward to longer daylight hours which will increase productivity.

Short list of the gains. 1 Needed a warranty service shortly after installing no issues and no charge. 2 the 30% tax write off went perfectly and reduced my loan by 30% in the first year. 3 I have no electric bill but the $8.89 monthly connection fee. 4 I am making money as I produce more than what I need and have increased my monthly payment by almost 1/3 per month for an early payoff. 5 All this has increased my property value as a bonus on top of everything else. Rate this as one of the best investments I have ever made.

The Ion Solar team were great to work with. It took a few months to get the ball rolling and the correct approvals, but once it was in place, the install team came out and set up all of my solar panels. It takes another month or so to get the local utility company to connect, which can be frustrating, but I've they did, Ion was great about coming back out to make sure all of the connections were working and syncing on the app. I've had them now for a little over a year and my electricity bill averages 0 dollars in the summer months and up to 30 dollars a month in the winter. (Keeping in mind that I pay a flat monthly fee of around 150 or so each month to pay off the solar panels... But that's half of what I was paying the utility company previously!... And the payment doesn't ever go up because I'm just paying off the solar panels.)
As a reference, I have about 23 panels on the south, East and Western facing sides of my roof... None on the north, and there are no trees in the way. Ion estimated that I would only price about 60 percent of my electric usage based off of my geographic location, so I've been thrilled that I'm producing almost 100 percent. You can also sell back some of your over production to the utility company for pennies on the dollar (optional).
I think the hardest part of the whole thing was waiting for everything to get hooked up and connected and the stress of not knowing how much energy we would produce. So far, so great! I got mine at the end of 2022, and they were connected and running by Feb of 2023. I got a tax credit incentive for installing them, which was an added bonus! I'm a very happy customer!

Mitch was the absolute best in explaining everything about ION solar. Once they got started it was smooth sailing. Continuous up dated, emails and calls. Keeping me posted on the installation process. As time progressed. Everything was quick. Surprisingly, even with connection with Dominion Power. If I had any concerns at all. I just sent Mitch a text or email and he was on it and got back sometimes with the hour. I couldn't have ask for a better response. I cannot say enough good stuff about how ION and Mitch with their customer service. OH!!!!!! The solar unit works great. I saw lower AC bills and now that it's winter again. My electric bill savings are phenomenal.

From the time the ION walked thru our home, we were really taken by his personality, friendliness, expertise and was not a pushy salesperson. He explained everything very detailed and worked with our budget. It was a smooth transition, that we ordered another set of panels 3 years later, to become fully solar. Both times the transition was smooth sailing. We are pleased with our panels, the savings are amazing. No electric bills. We also have been able to sell some of our energy every month. We loved getting a refund back from the government for installing the panels. We loved that ION also furnished us with energy saving lightbulbs, thermostat and a nice giftcard. I was very impressed with how ION managed the install of my system. Everything was completed in one day but the part that took forever were the 2 inspections done by the city permit and Nevada power. If I remember correctly that tool 3 months before the unit was on line.
ION calculated I would need 10 panels to provide enough power for my usage. My average electric bill was 65.00 winter and 120.00 in the summer. Now with the system my bills are 20.00 in the winter and 75.00 in the summer.
If you are thinking of having a system installed for saving money, your not because I financed everything which for me I pay 121.00 a month for 10 years and adding that to the electric bill my monthly budget for power is greatly increased.
The only difference is I'm buying something and not just sending money to the power company.
After 10 years when the system is paid off I will save money monthly but the warranty is 10 years so who knows how that will go.
My other concern is later if I have a problem with it will ION still be in business and if not who will I get to service it?
Over all its a great thing to add to your home but if your trying to save money---your not.

I am so happy with my new solar system!! I researched providers for more than a year before selecting ION Solar. They did an awesome job from the first contact and the representative that came to assist me was able to easily answer all my questions. What can I say that would better help you the reader understand the delight it was to work with ION Solar. EVERYONE, from the initial person knocking on my door, to the support team now years after install, have been nothing but helpful and great. I have heard plenty of horror stories from my neighbors and family about the companies they went with. While I just brag at the excellent customer service and quality product they provide. Most of my neighbors have had 1-2 repairs or replacements with their solar panels. They did not go with ION like I did and now suffer. I was the first to install and tried to recommend to everyone and have had NO ISSUES. Now my neighbors constantly tell me “we should have gone with your guy”

Here we are in November, my solar has been on for roughly 10 months. I've had a hot Oklahoma summer with them on. Not a electric bill over $46 except for 1 month. The hottest month it was $92. Looking to see how many credits I build with PSO during the winter for summer use. Someone is always at the house so the AC stays on.
They took care of the approvals and we coordinated with my HOA for their approval.
The installation guys were excellent.
I'm not going to say I didn't have worries through the process. I now realize my worries were unfounded.
My sales rep Mike, was excellent. I met him first as my wife was out of town, (they want both homeowners there). When she returned, he gave a solid presentation, was able effectively answer our questions and we made adjustments to the amount of panels and got a real time cost.
Overall. It was pretty quick on install. You have 2 months before your payment starts. They will re-imburse you for the months you pay for electric and your solar panel note. I did not utilize that option bc it was during the winter and my bill was $17 (I have gas heat). If it was the summer, it would probably be a different story. It was roughly 5 months before PSO had everything rectified.
This is a somewhat extensive review. I understand. I know that purchasing solar is a big deal. But it is worth it. I'm an energy producer now. Not just a consumer. I produce for the grid, they send it back. They don't have to maintain it. It is a win for them too. Eventually, I'll have ION put in reserve battery packs.

Usually not a great fan of Door to Door marketing but ION has been an exception. They were respectful since the beginning of the conversation and great to work with.
From the get go, design phase, they were easy to work with and patient helped in making changes and help in getting necessary approvals and permits during the installation process. Since most of the communication were over SMS or Email, it was easy to work with with written communication across the phases.
They also took care of the permits and approvals from HOA to City/County approvals.
Also helped in financing with low APR that helped in replacing my electric bill with this but also get value for money.
Overall, great company to work with and quality of service.
As for the maintenance, though there were initial hiccups in reaching the team, once I did, they did great. Proper follow ups and estimated time of completion and the issue is resolved with minimal effort from me.

The first thing I noticed and liked was the initial contact; me being totally ignorant on how the solar process works with your home and your energy provider was explained it in detail more then once, Mike made SURE I understood everything and if I had questions a few months later he took the time to explain it patiently and said to contact him anytime.
Second: I was able to follow the installation from beginning to end step by step.
Third: The installers were fast, accurate and left NO mess on the property and one of the installers gave me some very useful information on saving energy even with solar panels.
Fourth: The solar panels are not visible from the street.
Fifth: I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Ion Solar, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the entire experience. I heartily recommend, without ANY reservation, the sales, service, installation, and follow-up of ION Solar! Since my first system installation in 2020, and the additional panels installed in early 2024, my electric bill has plummeted from over $350/month average to less than $100/month [and most of THAT has been the additional ‘fees and add-ons from the power company].
The system generation and monitoring is easy, and I can see/track trends depending on the weather; daily, weekly, and monthly displays make monitoring easy to understand.
The ONLY problem I’ve ever experienced was a blow fuse … and that was quickly identified and rectified!
Without a doubt, installing with ION Solar has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I will probably be adding a system to my rental home in the not-too-distant future!

From our first introduction meeting about the company, to meeting the sales manager, to signing the papers, the installers, home office etc you could not ask for a more professional company. ION Solar handles everything they said they do They do not out source any of their work or maintenance. If you have questions, they are very quick with a response. Most of all, the saving you will get over the course of your contract is amazing. With the cost of everything going up, why wouldn't you want to lock in your electric rate with a buy back program??? It's a win-win situation with ION Solar. Don't wait. They are a trusted company and will do right for you.

Wow! From start to finish, what an amazing team at Ion Solar. I’m a first time homeowner and always wanted to invest in solar panels. We live in a new construction community and we had a ton of vendors selling their products and services to us especially for solar. Nick and Brandon were the front line and were so kind, knowledgeable and professional. They were not pushy at all. Every question I had was answered and I learned quite a bit from them. The communication was top notch and the install team did a wonderful job. The install team was communicative, polite, punctual and respectful of our property inside and out. Loved they wore booties in my new home (didn’t even ask them to do so, they came prepared). We are only less than two months in with solar and we are saving so much money on our electric bill. Thank you Ion Solar! We are very happy!

From day one through to completion, it has been a great pleasure and experience working with ION Solar. From the sales team to the various support teams and finally the installation team, everyone was extremely knowledgable and personable. They communicated during every step of the process so I never had to guess what was going to take place next. They also took care of everything! All the City, HOA, and Electric company Approvals and Inspections. I did not have to do anything. With the system now complete, there nothing I would change. My only regret is that we didn't engage with ION Solar sooner.

They have been very helpful. There was a time, a couple times where it's took a little while to get an answer, but other than that, pretty solid. They scheduled us for date to install and they were able to come out and just get everything done in one day for the most part. Obviously we had to allow access into our home and things, but it's pretty easy, and pretty efficient. There was one thing they had to come out and do again based on an inspection from the county, but other than that, it's a very simple process. It's been great equipment. I haven't had any issues with it so far, its been very easy to understand and we are definitely getting the benefits of the panels.

ION Solar made the whole process of getting solar panels installed and financed super easy. Spencer did a really terrific presentation that made every detail easy to understand. Something that I really like is the app that one can install on one’s phone where one can track the entire process from paperwork to installation, then an app also shows exactly how much energy production is occurring daily. Pretty cool. Granted, I don’t know the science behind all of it and can’t give you a ton of scientific data, but I the only part of my utility/electric bill I pay every month is the connectivity charge that keeps me connected to the grid. That’s it. Period. Even in the summer when I happen to run my AC or my holiday lights at Christmas. ION will assess the solar needs of your family. They made it easy. Everybody I have worked with was super professional, friendly, and respectful. I’ve heard of a lot of hassles with other companies in the area, especially after our torrential hailstorms, but my solar panels came through completely unscathed.
