I like the product. The installation was great. The install process was pretty seamless. The issue I had was with the financial support. I was told that I could use the lending process to to get the project started. I had the money to pay for the whole project. I was led to believe one thing and found at the end of the project that wasn’t the case. Bottom line, I paid the for the whole project but had to pay interest on something I wasn’t aware was gaining interest. I didn’t even have an account or bill to know I had to pay. When I was asking for help from ion. Their customer service was terrible. They basically told me off and said too bad. I paid the interest. (Not a ton compared to the amount of the project) I just did not agree to it out of principle. I was do disappointed on how they handled it. From both sides. I wouldn’t recommend them because of this. I’m sure in the future if I have a problem with anything else I’m going to have the same trouble they are only interested in getting the sale. After that. Don’t expect them to be there for you, the customer.

Everything from the sales process to the design process to the installation process was done in a timely and professional manner! Ion communicated with us every step of the way as to what to expect and when! Could not be happier with how smoothly everything went! They also helped me to get our state and federal credits which helped reduce the total cost of the project! Also the solar unit has operated with absolutely no issues! I definitely appreciated the speed of service and the kindness of everyone involved! Knowing that the installation of solar panels could help offset the skyrocketing electrical bills came as a relief. The only downside so far is that the panels have not completely balanced my energy bills as we first thought which has resulted in slightly higher combined monthly bills between Ion and the energy company, though we may have increased our energy usage (I really don’t know either way).

The one thing I have seen as a challenge is more related to finding a provider that has a viable buyback plan. Be sure to do your due diligence in researching the best options available, and most importantly, be sure to go with company that has a buyback plan.

Overall everything was smooth installation was good, only thing I was upset about was I had to raise my car insurance and home owner policy for the install and was promised a check to reimbursement me after the 3 months and when it got turn on however I have still not received the check
