I really didn't know much about solar and Ion Solar came out and they had a great presentation to let me know the advantages and the benefits of having solar. They came, set everything up, gave me an app and showed me how to use the app to monitor everything, so it was just great fit.

It went super quick, to the point that I had left for work, by the time I got home, the solar panels were all installed. They're very comprehensive, easy to use. We just had an ice storm, so very durable because I've had no issues with my equipment.

Well I advised Ion that we have a home owners association that requires any structural changes to be submitted to them first and they stated they were aware and would send the plans to the homeowners association and now a year and half later I have been fined hundreds of dollars because that was never done. According to them. I can no longer pull the plans and have contacted ion but haven't gotten a response. In addition, I was told I got state tax breaks but I am unable to get the state tax breaks because I need a certificate of installation to provide to the state and have emailed and requested help getting that and have never received a response. It seems like customer service is great prior to installation, but then gone after

The whole experience was pleasant. Level of communication was outstanding! The only thing I would not rate a 5 star would be the app I downloaded for my system. It gives minimal information, and is not a robust tool for the consumer.

They were very proficient at what they were doing and they took care of our the work with the homeowners association. They did all the legwork and I didn't have to do anything. They were very professional. We don't have an electric bill, so we don't pay anything other than the the hookup cost. And we don't have any problems with the system so far.

The workers were very efficient and friendly. It went very smoothly. We have encountered some issues with our electric company here in regards to getting a transformer capacity increased and also wa are now on hold for our final inspections and ION has kept us informed throughout this process.

They are a really good company for initial install, of you are going to add to your system just go with another company. They will come and install a whole new box on the outside of your house, and install a system that does not communicate with the old system. They are also terrible at communication. I never knew what was happening and every time I called the people I spoke to didn't know what was happening. They also will make appointments and never show up or call. So just save yourself the trouble and go with somebody else.
