As far as ION solar goes, they’re probably a decent company but Ty S is just a sleazy used car salesman that will tell you anything you want to hear. His line is “give me 1% of your trust and I’ll earn the other 99%. Don’t fall for it. He gave me a deal that I had to constantly track him down for and now won’t even return my texts. My solar still hasn’t been turned out so I can’t speak to the system itself, but that has to do with the county I live in. Don’t trust this guy. He didn’t try very hard to earn the remaining 99% of my trust. Very few things I hate more than liars.

I would be cautious on using Ion Solar , with multiple attempts to have them come finish the install and programming of the solar panels. The only response I get is they need to send a technician but want me to pay $250 for the visit. The programming was never completed and working properly since the first day and they don’t seem to care. Attached are some photos of the error that I am receiving and the productivity that my system is doing now compared to last year and I have more panels right now than I did last year… Really frustrating.

Do not choose ION solar. They will boast about their BBB rating but if you take a close look their rating has been steadily decline and their are numerous complaints on the BBB website. Don't make the mistake we did and believe the positive ratings, they are all false. We bought a solar system from ION not fully realizing what we got ourselves into. They locked us into a contract then installed an inferior system that barely produces the energy our home needs. Contacting ION is next to impossible as they rarely respond to emails and when you call and finally get someone they will promise to call you back but never do. Then we were told we had to purchase additional panels and batteries at almost double the cost of what we were originally charged in order to meet our energy consumption needs. So now we're $40k in the hole with a useless solar system. There are much better solar companies out there who will not try to rip you off. We had solar in NY with Momentum Solar which was a much better and more transparent experience.
