ION did a very good job from start to finish. Everything was explained thoroughly by our sales rep, Brian S. When I was unsure of whether we were getting a good deal, he encouraged me to get a competing quote. The competitor's price turned out to be almost exactly the same per kWh. However, they were suggesting we get many more panels than we really needed, and their communication wasn't nearly as good. Brian wanted us to feel good about our ultimate choice, and we did. Communication throughout the purchase, design, installation, and inspection phases was frequent via email, phone, and text. Now I probably have too much fun looking at my app to see how much power we are producing each day!

OUTSTANDING SERVICE. I normally don't entertain people coming to my house trying to sell a product. I will say I have always thought about getting Solar because it makes sense to me however I never knew what company to trust and from my past experience most sales people are scams. When Mr. Ryan H of Virginia Beach, VA came to my house in February 2022 I was ready to turn him away but he was so nice and professional I decided to hear him out. After the initial meeting I decided to have him come back the next day to give me more information on ION Solar. I am so glad I did, he was the most professional and friendly sales guy I have ever met. He came in set up his laptop and went over every detail any questions I had he answered. Unlike most sales people they are pushy and they have no idea what they are talking about they just want to sell you a product that they don't even believe in. He was so educated on ION Solar even I was impressed. That day I decided to get ION Solar thanks to Mr. H and I am so glad I did. With most people who sell a product after you purchase the product they are selling you never hear from them again. Mr. Ryan H stayed in touch with me through the entire process ensuring I was happy with ION Solar. I had no issues with install and or inspections the communication with the entire company was nothing sort then excellent and professional. I am writing this review today because I received my first power bill from Dominion tonight as where it is normally $200+ today it was a today of....... $1.71 yes ONE DOLLAR AND SEVENTY ONE CENTS. Now I did have a $5.55 credit from the month before so in reality my total bill is $7.26. AGAIN THANK YOU MR. RYAN H for helping me and my family invest in our home. YOUR AMAZING.

I know what you're thinking, "It sounds too good to be true. What's the catch? There has to be a catch somewhere with this." I can happily confirm there is NO CATCH! This is a PPA (Power Purchase Agreement). There really were no upfront costs. Your only payments going out will be to the sponsor for the install, and even that won't be until a few weeks after your system has been turned on! We were hesitant at first, as most will be. New Homeowner's get BOMBARDED with all these things in the mail that will seem like they are important and they express urgency to get it done right away. All of them are scams. ION was upfront from the beginning. They were not there to sell me anything with the first person to arrive, just explain about an opportunity available. I was intrigued enough to scheduled a follow up the next day. ION took care of EVERYTHING needed to get the work done. Roof inspection, attic space, city permits, HOA approval, the works. I didn't need to lift a single finger once things were set in motion! I am so pleased with the professionalism of every single person that's been involved. I cannot recommend them enough and really wish I knew more homeowners to refer!!

Even though the process was long from consultation to site inspection to engineering to permitting to install to county inspection and now just the last step waiting for the meter to be installed and the system to be turned on ION Solar was very communicative through email and texts. Responses were usually within 24 hours. The installers were friendly and good natured and only took about 2.5 hours from their arrival on site. All though the system is not online yet. ION has given us a clean and solid system (fingers crossed). Thank you ION Solar!

Ion offered us a quick installation, the first year’s payments, and an easy financing pkg. they delivered on all three in record time. We live in Las Vegas and AC is essential for life here. Our Nevada Energy payments are less than $20 per month even though we have the AC running 24 hrs per day. The financing payment is very reasonable too and the total energy bill plus the financing payment is less than $200/month. We are so happy Ion is our Solar provider. If you go with them, you’ll have the same wonderful service!

I had a great experience with ION Solar. Elijah took the time to sit down with me for over an hour and thoroughly address all of my concerns about being under contract and how the solar system works. I had previously worked with another solar company that was very poorly managed, so I appreciated the transparency and professionalism from the start. Throughout the entire installation process, communication was excellent. Every step was explained clearly, and there was always someone available to answer my questions. While the process took some time, it was very thorough, and I appreciated the attention to detail and inspections that ensured everything was done correctly. One of my favorite features is the app, which allows me to monitor my system in real time and see exactly how much energy is being generated and coming into my home. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience and would recommend ION Solar to anyone considering solar energy.

I had investigated solar options with various providers over the past few years. From the sales team to the install team, everyone that was part of the solar process was able to answer my questions. Before the install, I received texts stating that permits were being filed, that my account was being registered with my regional electric service provider. And because the entire process takes some time, I was kept in the loop (via texts) as bureaucratic processes were occurring. The install team was great in walking me through what they were doing: They explained all the panels and how to read the app after the system gets turned on.

I wish I had 2 more hands to give Ion Solar 4 thumbs up! I was apprehensive to get a photovoltaic system but with the price of NV Energy constantly on the rise it made sense to make the switch. I’ve had my panels for about 3 years. Ion was super communicative and the install was painless and easy. Their install crew was very professional and friendly. I’ve had to call customer service about 2 months ago because the pigeon guard they installed wasn’t guarding the pigeons. I called on a Wednesday, a crew was out 2 days later on Friday and pigeons were gone by Saturday. Can’t recommend them enough!

We chose Ion Solar mainly because their engineering consultant, Jesse Melville, presented information about the solar program that convinced us it would be a wise addition to our home in several ways. We also chose Ion because of the time Jesse spent with us answering our many questions and how he went out of his way to make sure we had all the facts and information we needed. We also were happy with the quality of and reviews for the panels that would be installed. The team that installed our panels and the electricians that hooked them up were professional, competent and polite. The communication between us and Jesse, Ion Solar, and Palmetto has been prompt to the extent that they have provided information and made appointments with little outreach from us. They have been on top of it all. We are pleased and look forward to a continuation of a great working relationship.

Ion Solar definitely used misleading and predatory practices to try to make the sale. I was told that the initial meeting would take about 5 minutes. When the salesperson showed up, he said it would take at least 30 minutes. After that the pitch was misleading. They made it sound like many things were an obvious good value. I had to really dig into the details to figure out the catches. For example, you pay more if your system is projected to generate more energy, so you actually don’t want to overproduce. Also, you still pay for natural gas from your energy company, so comparing that entire bill to your new one is extremely misleading. After calculating my monthly costs over the last year from purely electricity, what seemed like a no-brainer would actually lose me money. At that point, when I started to back out, things that were non-negotiable before changed. In the end, I did get a very good deal. After the sale, Ion and my salesperson were very helpful. It just took a lot to get to that point without getting ripped off.

ION solar chose me😁 I am new to the Oregon area, but have had solar for the past 15 years at my previous residences. Have always been curious about solar here in Oregon because of weather patterns. Sat down with the ION representative York Hayes and discussed options for my house and exposure. Spoke with neighbors who have solar and decided that it would be a benefit to me and a benefit to our energy system. They have been nothing but professional, and have walked me through every step, and kept me informed on every single step of the way to getting my system activated. Actually impressed because it has taken a lot less time than my previous experiences.

My experience with ION Solar was a mix of positives and frustrations. Initially, the sales representative explained the system well—he outlined my potential savings, the number of panels, and even mentioned a tax refund that would keep my payments steady. However, the refund didn’t match what I was told, and my monthly payment jumped from $187 to $270. That was really disappointing. On the plus side, the system itself is performing amazingly—my energy savings are noticeable, and once installed, it works great. The installation took longer due to permitting issues, but overall, the system is solid. Just be cautious with the financial expectations.”

First of all, I have 7 years of experience on designing and manufacturing photovoltaics aka solar panels. I choose ION solar because I knew they were being truthful and honest as opposed to telling me just what I want to hear. I haven't had any issues at all since the install which was late 2020, early 2021. My only regret was and still is, not getting more panels. When ION solar first visit my home, I was only 2½ months in on being a home owner. With that said, it was estimated that I needed 12 panels you cover all expenses from my power company. Being that I only being in the house for 2 months, the estimated amount of panels needed for my home was off. I actually needed more. My ION salesperson warned me that this estimate could be off because there just wasn't enough months of living in my home to give an accurate estimate. This is my only and biggest regret. Since get ION solar I have experience power bills a fraction of the price they would have been if I had no solar at all.
