I got a quote from Ion and was interested until I got other quotes. Each quote was similar cost or lower. The issue is Ion was quoting a system much smaller for the same price. When I did my research I fond out they exaggerated the production by 30% over what the system could produce. If you go with Ion make sure the system size is the same as you others are quoting otherwise you'll be stuck with a much larger energy bill than they tell you.

They left me hanging for 6 months, had to call them all the time to see what was going on. Then after 6 months told me they couldn't do the job, made me think they were scamming me into going to someone else then it would come back on me and I would owe them money because of the clause in the contract. So if you go with them make sure you have defined time lines in the contract.

This is the almost the worst experience I have ever had with a company providing installation. Their project management was completely hopeless. They took months longer than needed then even now they say it’s complete it stopped working the first weekend. Run from them and use any other provider but ION. The only contractor that has ever been worse was a person who defrauded us in a scam but honestly this was nearly as bad an experience. Run.

If I’m to be quite honest, I don’t see a difference with my billing after getting solar installed. I’m still paying a decent amount to NV Energy and when I’ve called in to ION I have been told that all my meters appear to be working properly.

Started out great.. and turned into almost a year long project. Finally got completed, but I don’t have a lot of confidence in the final workmanship. The panels do seem to be working. So that’s obviously good, but I’m concerned with other damage issues. Not to mention the money I lost in production over the 10 months it took to complete. I wanted to refer a bunch of people, but now I don’t feel good about it.

The system has yet to produce enough power to affect my bill in anyway. In fact it has hardly changed at all and now I have a $125 bill in addition to my power bill. Additionally, the tax credit was not near what was discussed when I got sold the system. This has turned out to do nothing other than cost me additional money. It also took nearly 11 months for the system install to be completed and turned on.

Was told when purchasing ion that we were getting a 7,000 tax back. Wrong! My tax preparer said the same was said to her. She corrected them. I had so much wrong when I received ion. I would never recommend you all. The process and the sale tactics are false advertising. People have told me to do something about it. I just want to pay my bill and be left alone!

Signed up in October, was all set for installation and up and running by first of December. Install was done late December, but the inspection failed, was not installed per the drawings, all kinds of excuses, a label and a circuit breaker was not per the permit or drawings. Here we are middle of March and up against the first payment due, and the catch up bill from NV Energy. I had to do all the call ins. No one called me, then I get relegated to texts, not even a courtesy phone call. Worst possible service after the great sales rep.

When I sign up I was told I was going to get a refund money $11500 that I could put it towards the loan to reduce the payment and WAS NOT TRUE Also I keep on getting a bill from Dominion Power for almost 200 a month exactly 160ish ???? So how is that having the solar panels is going g to benefit me at all I'm very very disappointed

If I could give this experience a zero, I would. There were several instances where I was told one thing and it didn’t happen. I still have yet to receive the energy efficient light bulbs and 2 thermostats. I was verbally told about $500 incentive but since it wasn’t put into my contract, it didn’t mean anything. It took almost 5 months to get everything done. I’m truly ready to be done with ION Solar.

it took over 5 months from the time of signing my contract to have my system up and running. It would have been even longer had i not continued to call and check on the progress. ION has the worst customer service, or at least i received the worst customer service. I was lied to by the various employees along the way, but always received a SORRY and a good excuse to how the situation occurred not once a resolution. I had 4-5 different events occur with no help from ION staff.

It wouldn't let me submit with zero stars...About the biggest waste of time I spent all last year. Lie after lie. They told me there would be no problem getting on the grid that there was space. They were going to charge me 20K more than two other companies. The other two companies I received quotes from informed me within days that there was no room on the grid. ion solar took well over a month. No apologies, nothing.

Wish I would of never answered the door. They are very un organized and don't communicate. They didn't make the dates for construction so they had to re run my credit without my consent. They used a sub contractor for electrical work to my house that did a very poor job left a 1/2" gap in my siding and electrical panel. Then the worked opened my back door and almost got bit by my dog. Just all around a very new company with not a control at all. I was not impressed at all. I work in communications and as a manager I would never run my company the way they did.
