The salesman was not on the ball. Try to get him to do something or to get a hold of him and he would tell me that it was my problem to call to see if they had an install date not very pleased at all with the sales person, I did not get my tax breaks. It is split up over five years now because they didn’t get it taken care of soon enough the year they put it in so now it’s spread over five years not what we were told.

I definitely appreciated the speed of service and the kindness of everyone involved! Knowing that the installation of solar panels could help offset the skyrocketing electrical bills came as a relief. The only downside so far is that the panels have not completely balanced my energy bills as we first thought which has resulted in slightly higher combined monthly bills between Ion and the energy company, though we may have increased our energy usage (I really don’t know either way).

We were amazed with how quickly permitting and the physical install took. Even crazier was how much smaller our electric bill was the following summer. White glove service, advanced design, best technology. Joe was very knowledgeable, explained all the considerations and why ION chose their approach. We also talked with Costco/Sun Run and felt that not only was ION’s product and approach better, but the cost was much lower … than Costco! Our installation was over the past summer. I’ve seen some negative reviews about ion, but I think it was just because people didn’t really pay attention when everything was being explained to them because everything was super clear to me And I know exactly what to expect the whole time. Ion Solar has been very easy to work with. They had some problems with a couple of their sub contractors, but were extremely responsive in correcting the issues. Also after installation one of the panels was not producing power like the other 20 panels. They sent out a tech who assessed the situation and after some trouble shooting replaced the defective panel. In addition while replacing the panel there was some damage to the vinyl siding. They arranged for a company to come out replace the entire wall of siding. Very professional and responsive.

I was surprised how easy it could be to get solar installed on our house. ION Solar works with you to determine the best location, they will reinforce your roof (if necessary) and will do all of the work to install solar panels, including educating you and how the process works. I especially like using the app to see how much money I am putting back into the grid, which saves me money on my electricity bill!

ION Solar does great work at a good price. It did not take them long to install my solar system. I was surprised how fast they did the installation. I have an extremely low power bill because my system generates more power than I use. I believe the small about monthly $16 fee is for monitoring the system and local taxes. I am happy with the system. Hollie is very good at explaining everything a customer needs to know about the installation cost, the installation time and how the system works. Anthony

I was approached by several different solar companies due to my house being in a prime location for the sun. However, John presented things in a way that was completely different from the rest. Once I accepted, ION made the process so easy. I received texts and could track the progress with their app. The installation guys took my OCD into account and made sure things were neat, the outside boxes weren't positioned and looking crazy, and painted the pole going the side of my house to match my vinyl. I would highly recommend John and the entire ION team to anyone :).

I've used Ion Solar for 2 different homes now. I also got my brother and his best friend to get the system. We all love it. I have full access to my system and I save money every month. My bill is $40 per month and the loan is $120 per month. Average electric in my area is about $220 per month so I'm saving $60 monthly easily. More savings in the summer of course. My HOA gave me issues and Ion took care of it all. Such great customer service.

Everyone that I've had dealt with at Ion had been easy to talk with if they didn't have an answer they would find someone who did. It would have been done sooner if not waiting on my insurance on my roof. It was rather quick when they put the panels up took the electrician about a full day to put everything in it's working order. The salesman, Tom K, was very knowledgeable of the technical & financial aspects of the project. He spent a lot of time to answer the many questions that I asked and returned to brief my wife. He was able to compare the ION Solar system with other competitors that I had interviewed. The installation team led by Matt C did a great job installing 39 panels in one day including a thorough clean-up. I did have an issue with the electrician who deviated from the agreed to cable run path without letting me know & as a result ran the conduit external to the house instead of most of it being internal - it distracts from the appearance of the house. The system is up and running better than I anticipated.

I heartily recommend, without ANY reservation, the sales, service, installation, and follow-up of ION Solar! Since my first system installation in 2020, and the additional panels installed in early 2024, my electric bill has plummeted from over $350/month average to less than $100/month [and most of THAT has been the additional ‘fees and add-ons from the power company]. The system generation and monitoring is easy, and I can see/track trends depending on the weather; daily, weekly, and monthly displays make monitoring easy to understand. The ONLY problem I’ve ever experienced was a blow fuse … and that was quickly identified and rectified! Without a doubt, installing with ION Solar has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I will probably be adding a system to my rental home in the not-too-distant future!

Wow! From start to finish, what an amazing team at Ion Solar. I’m a first time homeowner and always wanted to invest in solar panels. We live in a new construction community and we had a ton of vendors selling their products and services to us especially for solar. Nick and Brandon were the front line and were so kind, knowledgeable and professional. They were not pushy at all. Every question I had was answered and I learned quite a bit from them. The communication was top notch and the install team did a wonderful job. The install team was communicative, polite, punctual and respectful of our property inside and out. Loved they wore booties in my new home (didn’t even ask them to do so, they came prepared). We are only less than two months in with solar and we are saving so much money on our electric bill. I would look elsewhere if you are interested in solar. We have had our system for 5 years. It has stopped producing 3 separate times. Never notified by the ION. If I didn’t look at the apps on a regular basis I would never know, except I guess when I have to pay for both the panels and now my electric bill. My system was out for about 2 weeks - 2/23 was last day of production. I called on 3/6 to ask about it and get service. At that time, customer service said they would call back to schedule. I never received a call back from them. I had to recall customer service on 3/12. They then said they will schedule once a prepay the $250 service invoice and would not schedule until the invoice was fully cleared. I made the payment and the invoice cleared by 3/14. On 3/19 I still hadn’t heard from anyone at ION. I called again and they said they would get with the scheduling department and that my account would be marked as “high priority” and should receive a call in a day or two on getting something scheduled. I just received a text, not a call, that I’m scheduled for 3/31. I am flabbergasted with the horrendous customer service from this company. I haven’t been producing since 2/24 and they aren’t coming out to “look” at it for well past a month. They can’t keep my system up and running, don’t notify you when it is down, make you pay for service before it is performed, then if you are lucky schedule you 2 weeks out if you are a priority client… would hate to be a non-priority that is probably a few months out. Its great that you have to pay for the panels as well as electricity during this time. Stay away from ION, go with someone else.

Not only did they place solar panels over the eaves of my front porch, punching screws through my new roof so they were visible, but they took so long to correct the problem that I missed the chance to claim the incentive on this years' tax return so I had to take a HELOC to pay it so my payments won't increase. It took over 7 months from beginning to end, horrible experience.
