I thought it would cover my appliances in my home. You have to pay$100 deductible just to pick someone to come out to your home and the a person comes out to diagnose the problem and charges you an additional $125. If it’s not covered under warranty, they take forever to come back to complete the job.

They were cheap and had higher limits on replacement value for HVAC systems. Unfortunately, they have denied a ton of claims requests and won't tell me if my repair claims will be covered until they send an inspector to look at my repair. This costs $70-80 for every inspection. It is not worth the risk many times.

Customer support is generally responsive and prompt, but communication can feel like a runaround. A technician gave an estimate, promised to return and never did; the company blocked me from hiring an outside plumber, leaving a leak unresolved until my furnace later failed under warranty.

We can't choose companies we know and trust. Also, I had my water heater replaced twice. Once, all it cost me was the service fee. The next time, it cost me the service fee, and $450.00 more. Not sure why. But that has been the only time I've felt really screwed. not sure if that's the warranty or the company the chose. Which is why I'd feel more comfortable picking a company I know.

Isas extremely unhappy with the claim placing process tha5 requires to talk to ai and gives absolutely no option to talk to a person. 8 was also unhappy that when th3 electrician identified multiple outlets and told me he was sure they would all be replaced, that 1st got a flat out denial, then an agreement to do 2, and when I appealed the decision , I spoke with someone who not only wasn‘ listening to what I said but took no responsibility just telling me „they“ denied it. She finally agreed to call the electrician and ge5t back to Me but I never heard back until the electrician came out to repair the 2 outlets. He said that h3 was surprised a5 the denial.

It’s a 20 year old refrigerator and instead of replacing it was decided that $600 ish for repair was acceptable. Plus tech fees. Approved only after HWA questioned whether the damage was done by a power surge and was told there a surge protector. Not only that our entire house has a surge protector so that’s never going to be the issue. I feel that it should have been replaced since the compressor has issues. Not the problem this time since the control board was replaced.

On my last claim the plumber that was sent out said my main drain was cracked and Hwa denied the repair. I had another company come out to get a second opinion and they where able to clear the drain and didn't find any cracks. The drain is flowing smoothly now. Because of bad service from the company Hwa sent out I lost out on $100 deductible plus I had to get another company to do the job and I had to miss a day of work. I was also notified that my monthly rate and deductible will be increasing so Because of that I'm going to be looking for another warranty company to go with.
