Despite a little bump initially due to a plumber/ tech not responding to our initial request for service, we were pleased with the service by a replacement company… the professional interaction with Home Warranty staff and a very positive effort to get us back on track and taken care of. New water heater is a blessing and the sink leak is completely resolved. Not to mention the quick service fixing our furnace before all of this! Thank you!

We’ve been HWA customers for 11 years. The customer service has declined more each year. It is now automated, no live human to talk to when placing a claim. When we did need a major appliance replacement (dishwasher) it took 3 weeks before we had the new dishwasher installed. Some of the technicians have been questionably qualified. I’ve read their customer reviews and am baffled by why HWA would contract with them. It often takes several days before a tech can come out then there’s sometimes a delay in waiting for parts to be ordered and a return trip a week later. On the whole, HWA has repaired and covered what the contract says they will cover. They are just expensive and frustrating to deal with.

sometimes the service takes a bit long to get a contractor to take care of your issue. the fact that the deductible is increasing and the cost is almost $1,000 a year has me looking else where for a less expensive option. usually when the service is done, it is pretty good.

If I could rate this a zero, I would. The customer service has been absolutely awful. I was given an appointment to have my washer repaired (already paid the $100 deductible) and no one came. Then I was told it was rescheduled for today after waiting for 4 hours last time. The claim information still lists the first date and I have not heard from any vendor saying they are coming today. I don't know the vendor or any details who is supposed to come today - only your response to me that they are coming but the details on the claim have not been changed. I am sitting here with a washer that is not working properly and should be covered by the warranty. I have paid the deductible already to HWA and cannot seem to get anyone to care that we still don't have it repaired or communication that is correct. This is by far some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Things are terrible. Been using Home warranty of America for five years. I have a heating and air unit that I service regularly whenever I have an issue it takes 5 to 10 days to get a contractor out and when they show up, they’ll just Band-Aid the problem with minimal work as possible. I’ve always been told by the warranty company that if I had a problem they would cover it even if the unit failed. Now I’m having problems again this winter I’ve been 12 days without heat finally got a email from them telling me I owe $950 because they don’t cover the work. The contractor is requesting to be done. I’ve gone through multiple conversation with them regarding what is covered never been told I would have to pay more than $100 out-of-pocket. A couple years ago I was going to cancel my coverage and go with another company they assured me I would never have to pay more than $100 out-of-pocket and now I have this $950 bill from the technician. I would have to say this company ranks as one of the worst. I’ll be going back to Choice home warranty had better experience with them on my first house

The only thing that I dislike is that I currently have a leaking drain pipe and so far they have sent out 2 different plumbers and now they are sending a third. However, the warranty won't tell me why they are sending different plumbers. I would like to know if they didn't want or couldn't do the job or if they were charging too much. I am in the dark on this one and it is really getting annoying because it has been going on for a month now and I have no resolution or approval/denial. All the rest of my claims were quickly taken care of and resolved.

WE HAVE HAD THIS COMPANY FOR MANY YEARS FOR OLDER APPLIANCES AND THEY GET SUB PAR SERVICE PEOPLE AND IT TAKES MULTIPLE VISITS MANY PARTS TO BE FIXED AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK AND THEN THEY OFFER A SCAWNY AMOUNT OF MONEY TO COVER COST OF GETTING A REPLACEMENT APPLAINCE.
