I’ve tried another home warranty company that didn’t live up to their promises. Every time that I’ve turned in a claim to HWA they lived up to their contract. I wished that my appliances etc. didn’t break down but things happen beyond my control. So I can put my worries aside due to having HWA.

So far the service has been great. Just need patience when they are replacing an item and sometimes you end up making a purchase to replace items that are a bigger deal to you like a stove that was red flag by the fire department for CO2 but when you put a claim the company says it’s fine so you follow your instincts and replace it after having two issues with it. But overall they are ok.

Home Warranty was great. Very professional and timely service. My issue is with the locksmith who used to not duplicate key for my main garage entry into the house. He only gave me one key. Now I either have to change the deadbolt entirely or find someone who will duplicate the key. Very frustrating for a typical deadbolt into the home. He also refused to reset the front door combination and referred me to YouTube.

I have been getting a complete run around. On 11-28 I received an email from S.Michaud a case manager. We have had no heat for a week now and do not know when it will be fixed. We are sorry we signed up with HWA. I believe that we will have to let the Better Business know of the poor service. Can you tell me what is going on? You can call me. I have sent 2 emails to Michaud and no response.

Our plumber did come and opened the pipe according to him temporarily. He said we could either do a hydro pressure cleaning or replace a cast iron pipe somewhere under the house in the crawl space. Both are not covered by the warranty company. Now we are not sure if for real they are not covered or? I need to be connected if possible especially I don’t want to pay another deductible again to find out.

I've been with the company for over 5 years now and I've been very happy with the services. Only one little glitch along the way they sent me a company to look at my air conditioning and they cancel an hour before the appointment and maybe wait another week before I could be seen but no apparent reason I was dealing with somebody from an AI company. And the individual I spoke to from hwa it was not that receptive as to what was going on even though I'm a 71 year old woman with breathing difficulties and needed my air conditioning I was told that they could call another company but it would take another week so that didn't help anything. But overall I'm very pleased

My last claim on my microwave was denied unfairly. It caught on fire and the wiring wasn't examined to see if it was worn. There was no extensive check to see what happened. The technician opened the door and said it was totally gone. I don't think the company asks the companies to examine the appliances thoroughly before they make a decision. This was the second call with the same issue of popping sound but the second time after the popping sound it caught on fire. The company made me feel like it was my fault. I immediately canceled my service with HWA.

I chose HWA for the coverage I needed at great rates. They were much appreciated help for a pool pump and fridge break down. Unfortunately their monthly rates have gone up too much over the past couple years & I'll likely have to drop them soon due cost.

I've had a policybsince 2019. Easy company to work with. Premiums are reasonable. Great response time. Minor repairs or replacements have not been an issue. Typical insurance/warranty with the big items. I have the top policy plan with the extra rider to cover the 'not typical' items and replacing my heat pump system still cost me $3000. Used the excuse of new government regs etc. instead of honoring the policy.

I’ve had two issues with my AC in the last couple weeks. One was a leak and the other was a compressor went out on one of my units. This home warranty company took care of me and fixed both of these problems very quickly and make sure it was all done right.

We can't choose companies we know and trust. Also, I had my water heater replaced twice. Once, all it cost me was the service fee. The next time, it cost me the service fee, and $450.00 more. Not sure why. But that has been the only time I've felt really screwed. not sure if that's the warranty or the company the chose. Which is why I'd feel more comfortable picking a company I know.

Isas extremely unhappy with the claim placing process tha5 requires to talk to ai and gives absolutely no option to talk to a person. 8 was also unhappy that when th3 electrician identified multiple outlets and told me he was sure they would all be replaced, that 1st got a flat out denial, then an agreement to do 2, and when I appealed the decision , I spoke with someone who not only wasn‘ listening to what I said but took no responsibility just telling me „they“ denied it. She finally agreed to call the electrician and ge5t back to Me but I never heard back until the electrician came out to repair the 2 outlets. He said that h3 was surprised a5 the denial.

Right now I’m on the fence. I’m giving my policy a chance to work again. Due to an issue earlier this year my experience dropped drastically. Vet your technicians. You have some scammers using your warranties to get over on your customers. Especially your HVAC technicians. With the technician knowing what to submit to get approval and the customer not knowing it could cost the customer unnecessary costs not necessarily needed at that time. An older unit doesn’t necessarily mean replacement.

The only thing I do dislike is that the gift card that you give me Lowes said it cannot be used for a payment on the new appliance in since I won’t get it for over 30 days and the current sale that they have that is in the price range of what you’re giving me I will have pay for it myself.

Garage Door - The vendor was great but it took almost 3 weeks to get someone here to do repair. That’s after I kept calling HW to see status. No return calls until I got a hold of a manager. Microwave - this repair took over a month because the vendor kept having to order parts and cancelled several times for unknown reasons. Apparently there is only one vendor in the area that can repair a GE microwave. There doesn’t seem to be a sense of urgency when an issue arises.

Twice the service technician failed to show up so that meant taking time off to wait on two separate occasions, when someone finally showed I had been two weeks with a backed up drain , technicians that finally came to unclog the line did it very quick, they didn’t say much except to try and upgrade service call, other than that not much explained……. Today however my line is clogged again, so as you can see I’m very disappointed.

It’s a 20 year old refrigerator and instead of replacing it was decided that $600 ish for repair was acceptable. Plus tech fees. Approved only after HWA questioned whether the damage was done by a power surge and was told there a surge protector. Not only that our entire house has a surge protector so that’s never going to be the issue. I feel that it should have been replaced since the compressor has issues. Not the problem this time since the control board was replaced.
