I like the fast service and low costs. My brother has had the home warranty for almost 10 years. I myself have only had it for about five months now, but I called them on a couple of occasions and my heat went out when my heat went out. They told me it would cost just the service call $500. Meanwhile, Home Warranty Of America only cost me $85 to get it fixed.

I am a realtor and refer HWA to my clients. I recently purchased my own home warranty for My new house. Had my locks changed. Then my tub was leaking. HWA denied my claim but after an email. They approved it. Highly recommend!

For one it covers my pool pump and filter. Great price. Only used 1 time for my stove. No problems getting issue taken care of. However, very disappointed in how long it takes to get final resolution. Four weeks or longer to get check or e certificate for replacement is ridiculous. Other than that no issues so far.

The website is very slow. I was having a problem with my furnace and it took 3 days during Sub-Zero temps before a service person called me. He was very good once he showed up, but it was uncomfortable not having a fully working furnace that long in those temps.

My niece in another state is happy with them. I had them come out last year for a problem with my freezer…I was very unhappy until finally after 3 separate workers came out & were unable to fix the problem. Then a lovely young woman came out & solved it, ordered the part & came back in a few days to install the part. This year my oven wasn’t working & they sent a nice man out. He took it all apart, went out to his truck replaced the part & was finished in an hour. Thank you!

I have had HWA since 2015. The process has always been smooth. This past time with At Your Service Heating and Cooling working my hot water heater issues, the whole process went smoothly. HWA did a good job making the claim process very simple. At Your Service did a great job. Good communicator.

Warranty was included in the purchase of my house. They were a nightmare to work with. Communication was terrible, every time I spoke with someone their only response was that I would receive an email in 24 hours, day after day, same response. They told me that I would have to cover a portion of the replacement, and gave me a dollar amount but never provided me with an invoice or breakdown of charges as far as what they covered and didn’t cover. I would not recommend HWA to anyone.

I regret signing up to a multi year contract with Home Warranty of America. They have denied my claims 4 times with in 12 months. Recently was my new HVAC I had installed in 2023 with a 10 year warranty. They would not honor the warranty. I had to get my own HVAC technician and pay out of my pocket. The technician I hired said the parts were bad when the HVAC was installed.. I have nothing but disappointments with HWA. Do not use HWA.

Paid for a third of the price of a new unit excluding labor. Had to fight tooth and nail to even end up there. If a company is going to value appliances at wholesale prices, then the company shouldn’t enable the client to purchase through a wholesale company. Had to fight to get a check sent to me instead of Lowes credit. Awful experience. Would be better off replacing the appliance in cash instead of buying a warranty that would have covered the purchase price.

My claim has been denied. I do not agree with this at all. The gentleman that came to look at the refrigerator told me that he felt that it would be approved. What he said and what they said, doesn’t make sense to me. Especially since I know that these refrigerators have a major history with failing icemakers.. I am going to file a report with consumer report and the Better Business Bureau.

Moved into a new home and had multiple issues. Support was quick to respond and service started promptly, but explanations were vague and unhelpful. A plumber gave an estimate, then failed to return and I wasn't allowed to arrange my own, leaving a leak unresolved for days.

They were cheap and had higher limits on replacement value for HVAC systems. Unfortunately, they have denied a ton of claims requests and won't tell me if my repair claims will be covered until they send an inspector to look at my repair. This costs $70-80 for every inspection. It is not worth the risk many times.

Customer support is generally responsive and prompt, but communication can feel like a runaround. A technician gave an estimate, promised to return and never did; the company blocked me from hiring an outside plumber, leaving a leak unresolved until my furnace later failed under warranty.

I’ve tried another home warranty company that didn’t live up to their promises. Every time that I’ve turned in a claim to HWA they lived up to their contract. I wished that my appliances etc. didn’t break down but things happen beyond my control. So I can put my worries aside due to having HWA.

So far the service has been great. Just need patience when they are replacing an item and sometimes you end up making a purchase to replace items that are a bigger deal to you like a stove that was red flag by the fire department for CO2 but when you put a claim the company says it’s fine so you follow your instincts and replace it after having two issues with it. But overall they are ok.

I've been with the company for over 5 years now and I've been very happy with the services. Only one little glitch along the way they sent me a company to look at my air conditioning and they cancel an hour before the appointment and maybe wait another week before I could be seen but no apparent reason I was dealing with somebody from an AI company. And the individual I spoke to from hwa it was not that receptive as to what was going on even though I'm a 71 year old woman with breathing difficulties and needed my air conditioning I was told that they could call another company but it would take another week so that didn't help anything. But overall I'm very pleased

Home Warranty was great. Very professional and timely service. My issue is with the locksmith who used to not duplicate key for my main garage entry into the house. He only gave me one key. Now I either have to change the deadbolt entirely or find someone who will duplicate the key. Very frustrating for a typical deadbolt into the home. He also refused to reset the front door combination and referred me to YouTube.

My last claim on my microwave was denied unfairly. It caught on fire and the wiring wasn't examined to see if it was worn. There was no extensive check to see what happened. The technician opened the door and said it was totally gone. I don't think the company asks the companies to examine the appliances thoroughly before they make a decision. This was the second call with the same issue of popping sound but the second time after the popping sound it caught on fire. The company made me feel like it was my fault. I immediately canceled my service with HWA.
