My experience was my LED panel is working intermittent which controls the temperature is not working. The person that came out said that I broke it. The person that came out said it was cosmetic damage. I agree, because the the black tape came of due to cleaning. So, the person that came out took a picture and left without checking anything. It was disappointing. I paid for service and got nothing check. I recently has a HVAC person come out for another matter to check my AC. The first guy came into my home and said the Siri's cool and your AC is working and left. I called back a few months for the same issue. The up stairs was not getting cool. The next person came out an listen to my issue. He changed the blower that control the air flow. He was great. I reason I took so long to call back is because I tried to fix it by installing new air duct and a replaced the thermostat. Anyway first American doesn't care. I plan on buying a new refrigerator and cancel my contract with this company soon.

We are always looking for ways to better our service and your feedback is an invaluable part of the process. Our records show you placed a claim for your air conditioning not working properly. Marina Heating and Ventilation Air Conditioning was dispatched and reported that the blower motor and capacitor needed to be replaced. Our records also show that they completed the replacement of these parts and confirmed the air conditioner to be working as intended. First American considers this claim to be closed.

The coverage is great, but I've only attempted to use the locksmith feature when I bought my home. They said that they couldn't find a locksmith in my area and that I'd have to get one myself and file for reimbursement. If I could pay the initial up front cost without harming my family's financial situation, I wouldn't carry a home warranty.

First experience was great. Second experience was not completed. The plumber who came gave false information to First American. The plumber wanted to charge me $399 more to complete it. I called First American and explained what happened and that what the plumber said was not what happened. I got a letter from First American saying the warranty did not cover the service needed. So, my plumbing issue has still not been resolved.

Have been with this warranty company for 2 yrs. Have filed 3 or 4 claimss with them during that time.(mostly plumbing issues) All claims have been resolved satisfactory. Have had to wait for service from vendors a little too long but otherwise so far so good.

I have been a client of First American Home Warranty for several years up until now I would have rated them 5 star. I was getting a washing machine serviced and I waited 4 weeks then found out the current Contractor could not complete the job. They sent me a new Contractor's information for them to repair my washer. I feel like FAHW should check to make sure their clients are being serviced within a reasonable time. I had an extremely hard time finding someone to help. So my rating is based on my last experience.

I think it is very unfair that when a client moves to a new home their contract with FAHW is cancelled and funds are not credited to the new contract at the new home. I was told you charge for the cancellation and all service calls are deducted from the remaining funds in the contract. I won't recommend your company as you are not really saving anyone anything!

We pay a monthly fee AND A SERVICE FEE, yet a service call is only warrantied for 30 days. It is alot of money to keep spending. I feel like I am spending alot of money to have someone come out for $85.00 and then it breaks again in a different location.

Overall very happy, been with you for over 10 years. You typically will cover my needs. Only reason it is a 4 vs. 5 is due to the amount of time it takes to get somethign fixed. The approval process is not consume friendly buth rather cumbersome and very lengthy, I've waited up to 60 days in some cases

yesterday I had an excellent electrician come to fix my fan, and he did a fabulous job, even cleaning up beautifully. He was a 5, but several years ago I had a problem with my microwave, and they put in one that didn't work. They did provide a very good one at least.

I am in the middle of a claim. The adjuster most likely has more claims than he would like & is tough to get hold of. On a personal note, he is fine to deal with & pretty clear on most questions. I haven't had enough experience with customer service to be able to rate them. I will not be able to give you an appropriate answer really, to any of the other questions until the claim is closed out.

When my tankless water heater quit working, First American replaced it, even though tankless water heaters are very expensive. I would have marked 5 stars, except that I had to work at questioning the initial response, which was not at all satisfactory, and finally they did agree to completely replace it.

They are improving but there are still a few issues. Wish you could receive service from previous contractors who served you well. Also, preventive service should be covered since that would serve you and the customer well in keeping costs lower. For example, annual air conditioner inspection service and cleaning.

In one instance we had to go through 4 claim specialists and then the regional manager of our area. Once alerted, the manager did an excellent job in working with the service provider and sorting the issues with their technician’s report. Problem got resolved after a month since we filed the first service request.

Depending on the service, I'd love to have companies warranty their service. For example, if a central uniting was installed in the summer, them a follow up for the heater working well should be done. As for First American, the company is trust worthy.

Even though we're in the middle of a Pandemic, it took longer than it normally would; started process in August and resolution not reached until end of October with a "Cash Out" amount lower than what I feel should have been given. I hope under normal circumstances it wouldn't take that long, this was my first experience using my warranty. My washer is not an appliance someone should have to wait that long to get it taken care of.

I used re-key my locks on my new home. That transaction was fine. A month later, I had problems with my water heater and American Home Warranty said they would take care of it. Since I am a new home owner, my realtor called back and Home Warranty did not take care of it. Your staff does not know what is covered.

I had cancelled their policy about 3yrs ago, then reinstated it within a couple of months, but the answering auto phone doesn't recognize my policy. I have reminded their Customer service again and again for last couple of years but no, it has not yet corrected it.

Solid coverage, however their customer support is sometimes hard to work and hard to understand. They also don't seem to track dispatched contractors leaving it to he homeowner to deal with contractors who don't show up or change their appointment at the last minute after the customer has had to wait for more than a week.

After being in our home for 1 week, the hot water heater went out. I called set up a service call online. There was no one locally to service our needs and we went 4 days without hot water. There were multiple calls to the call center, 2 different businesses scheduled, and then conveniently overbooked and didn't bother to call us and tell us they were not coming. It was incredibly frustrating. Repair services do not want to spend 1 hour or more driving (one way) to Stephenville, TX when they can stay in the metroplex and make more money. Please secure local businesses to service the needs of your customers. I gave 2 stars because of the nicest call center representative that tried for almost an hour to locate an alternate provider after we had a no show. He could not locate anyone that was willing to show up soon.
