My furnace heater was broken. I think the timeframe is about the final technician come back fix, I'll say like one week to two. It's a little bit longer than I expected, but now it's not like not able to accept at all. The timeframe it's a little bit longer, but I like the service.

I called the representative that initially when I purchased the house, and she was super nice, very detailed, thorough, and it made it easy and she also gave me the information. And it was very, very simple for me to use the warranty program when my pool pump broke.

The worker was very good, it just took a long time to get the people out here to do the work. I understand that's because there was a big weather event and there were lots of customers, but I didn't have running water for 17 days. I have used it several times and have always had very efficient, competent, pleasant, and polite folks to come and do the work. I had the garage door opener repaired and several plumbers have been out, and they've all been exceptionally good experiences with the people that came.

It's not that they don't provide the customer service. I just have a hard time understanding the representative. I have an open claim right now, and everything is running smoothly. We're just waiting for the part to come in. It was done in a timely manner.

Because you have been good to me and everything that I needed. I've used my warranty for my water heater and everything that was right there, and worked out. Everything was positive and I got a new water heater. I had no problems. Anything broke down you're always there to come out on time.

At first I thought that HWA was a good thing and that they were really interested in the well being of my house appliances and such. From day one there was communication, contractor and scheduling issues. I'm not a person who believes in just good enough when fixing or repairing something. I also know how things work, where to get parts and how to fix things too. One of the most annoying things is the price of coverage going up each year with the benefits decreasing. The renewal persuasion, sweet talking and slight strong arming to make me renew each year was pretty comical. I'm glad my policy is lapsing at the end of March and I won't have to deal with lack of customer service knowledge, waiting days to get a service scheduled and questionable repair jobs that I have had to correct myself. Unless you have some major stuff you know is going to go wrong in your house or you have no knowledge of how to fix things then maybe HWA is for you. Just be prepared to wait, be frustrated and have to be on your toes with all the subcontractors and questionable ethics.

The woman that I dealt with, though I didn't get the answers that I was looking for, was very professional and very informative. She did her best. The last 2 times I've had to use it, my refrigerator that went out and the dishwasher went out. I would have certainly been appreciative if we would have gotten anywhere close to the value of these appliances. The money they offered was 30% of what it cost us to replace these items. So I'm looking for a home warranty when this thing expires, I did buy it for 3 years. I'll be looking for somebody who gives me more of a replacement value than just 30% of the value of the replacement product.

I don't get any real answers when I ask questions. I just get whatever is printed on the website, no details. I just recently had to file a claim for my washing machine. A service guy came out and he said it costs too much to repair so then I gotta buy out. But Home Warranty doesn't explain two things. One, they don't explain why they came up with the value they did, because it's not enough to pay for a new washing machine. And then two, they can't really explain to me why I have to wait up to 30 days to receive the payout when I need a washing machine now. So now I am out of a washing machine for a couple of weeks until I get the payout, and I still have to pay extra, so it almost doesn't make it worth it to use Home Warranty.

We just had somebody come out today. Our thermostat and our furnace wasn't working properly, so I went online and submitted a claim. And then they emailed me back right away, saying that the claim had been submitted and they would contact someone to come out to work on the furnace. And they had somebody out within 2 days.

They have a very spotty record on whether or not things are covered. I recently had an issue with the surge protector that my entire house has. It's basically there to cover ALL appliances in the house without having a surge protector at the outlet level. Well, mine is spent, and I talked to them about replacing it. They denied it, and that makes NO SENSE. This is PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE... waaaaay cheaper than replacing a fridge or dryer or anything like that. I'd say the rate of them covering something breaking is about 50-50... and often you'll learn that they won't cover something AFTER you've shelled out a hundred bucks for the service call.

I have never had any problems with them. Anytime I've called them, they send the technicians and the technicians do whatever they need to do to complete the job. They always come through with whatever my issues are in my home, making sure that I get the technician that I need in a timely manner.

It's come in handy with my A/C. I've had two A/C replacements in the last couple of years. And it was a little more complicated than the furnace, but ultimately it got done and we're saving a lot of money having the warranty. Whenever I call, I get a person and they help me in, their responses quickly.

It was good except for the fact that the installer was waiting for authorization and was about to leave without installing a new garage door opener because he hadn’t heard back from the company. I called the company and was told it was approved. I found out later via email that it was approved before I contacted them. The installer assumed that you would get back to him.

As a first-time homeowner I wasn't sure how much maintenance actually cost. HWA allows for peace of mind that if I get a leak under my sink or the AC goes out I'm not scrambling to find a professional or out thousands of dollars trying to get it fix. I just put in my request to HWA and they will send someone out to take care of it. Most recommend HWA for the first year of homeownership but I'm definitely keeping and renewing this membership.

I have maintained my HWA warranty since I moved in 2015. I have had a few instances where it has been very helpful in finding a qualified person for a repair while being responsible for my deductible of $100 only. I have an important comment /suggestion: When submitting your claim request, be VERY detailed in what the problem is, what your concerns are. I say this because the company Service person that accepted the HWA claim request, that comes to your home can ONLY correct the exact problem stated on the Claim # you were assigned. If the service person feels there may be a bigger issue to deal with, it would be at the homeowners expense if the service person goes over & above. The service person cannot really suggest additional repair. I experienced this with a plumbing issue, Pipes needed rodding as opposed to just having a kitchen sink backing up, but a kitchen sink backing up, was what I reported to HWA. Had I been more detailed & the claim was written up with my detail, it would have eliminated the need for the 2nd visit after 8 days. The plumbing company needed to come back out 8 days later & treat the 2nd service as a new claim causing me to pay an add’l $100 to the plumbing company to rod out pipes which was part of the initial sink back-up problem. Both plumbers did what was needed both times, they worked hard, one left at 9pm on a Saturday as an emergency call after the other rooms had sewer back ups. Just a word of advice, so far the problem seems to be solved, I have to assume there are no broken pipes underground, the last plumber explained what he did should have corrected the problem. Lengthy review, but sharing this for others using the home warrant service. They are very good, just be detailed!!

Generally overall decent experience with home warranty of America. However had some experiences in which the warranty did not cover certain expenditures as a recent plumbing and dishwasher claims in which I incurred the total cost of repair. Also my garage door a few years back it replaced only the springs and I paid over 600 dollars for a new motor and recently paid over a 1000.00 for another new motor. That being said they covered a part for my heater/furnace and have helped me in other instances. I had to replace hot water rank 12 months ago but decided to go through the manufacturer without contacting HWA. I think as a homeowners insurance company they attempt to do their best generally. Have had some negative experiences when calling. However some good ones as well

They have reasonable rates and wonderful service. And also a nice plan for protection for my home appliances and things like that. My hot water was nonexistent and I needed a new hot water heater, they found me the proper plumbing company that would install the hot water heater and did it efficiently and quickly. My air conditioner has also leaked and stopped working, and in Florida, that's not very habitable to be able to live comfortably. They've been able to send the A/C technicians quickly and resolve the problem. So I'm very happy with the home warranty.

I’ve placed 3 claims with HWA in the two years I’ve had the contract. The first two claims were handled to my satisfaction. I am having some difficulty with my current (3rd) claim. It is difficult to get in contact with the repair service. They don’t answer their phone. The message says the mailbox is full and you can’t leave a message and there is no option to send a text. All it lets me do is send my phone number with no message. Very frustrating. Finally The technician came on the day scheduled. All he did was record the serial number and tell me they would call to schedule the repairs. I paid the 75$ service call bout shouldn’t have since he made no repairs and I don’t know when the work will be completed. I called HWA. The representative was very helpful and explained the claim had been approved and the technician is waiting for parts. It would have saved time and frustration if the repair company had made contact with me and provided that information.

I put in my claim on one day, the very next day they had a technician out here to resolve the issue. The young lady I spoke with on the phone when I called in took the time to find a company to resolve the issue before I had to sit around and wait a couple of hours for somebody that could take the ticket. She actually spoke with some of her companies outside the area and got somebody out here immediately.

So far 6 months into my warranty I’ve had nothing but good experiences from HWA. Every problem has been solved within a couple days and the $100 copay is reasonable. I will preface that by saying I have the platinum package that came with my home purchase so results may vary between plans and locations. Overall though, HWA in the Minneapolis region has been great.

They're pretty attentive, they're pretty responsive, only have one vendor that I really didn't didn't care about. But overall, that's internally, it's great customer service, great support. I've had to call more than one and they were just always willing to to help get resolved to whatever issue I had. The latest one was for a leak in the air conditioning. They sent someone out, they called me when they had had the problem locating of a contractor. They gave me a solution in case I couldn't wait for them to find the contractor. I ultimately just waited. And when they took the contractor out, it was great service, great contractor. And the response to the claim was quick.

I haven't had any problems, you know when I put in the ticket I get a response right away. If they send me two people I just select the one I want. I tried to use my warranty for my garage and I had to come out of pocket, and it's because they didn't explain to me that it doesn't cover the wiring or something else they didn't cover, but everything else they covered.

I've had several times where things just went South and they did the absolute best they could and I appreciate that. I came home from being away for a while and my air stopped working and it was like 80 or 90 degrees. So of course during the summer it's hard to pin people down, but they worked very hard to get someone in here. The people they work with were wonderful and tried to make sure they did it as quickly as they could.

I had two claims and the feedback and time that they got back to me was unbelievable. I could not believe that. I called in again because I wasn't available and they got back to me within 3 minutes via e-mail. So I was very impressed with that. I had the problem with my A/C it was leaking to my house. They sent the people out there and they fixed the problem within like 15 minutes.

Anytime I've needed to reach them, I've been able to reach somebody at a reasonable time and I've received communication and follow-up. If I ever requested something, you know they provided what I requested. I had a problem with my dryer and so my dryer was covered by the insurance policy, and they responded, the technician came out, and then they attempted to replace it. They weren't able to replace the part, so they actually reimbursed me and gave me the money to purchase a new one. I've had excellent experiences over the years I've been with them for probably at least 11-12 years. That's why I continue to pay my monthly fee. I'm not a handyman do it yourself person. So knowing that I can get things repaired at the monthly cost and the the home visit cost meets my budget.

I'm going off of our most recent claim and they were very responsive. It was cleared up and handled and over with in 48 hours. Our air conditioning stand stopped working in the middle of this heat wave on Sunday or Saturday and we called Saturday and on Sunday we called right away and registered the claim and we had a response from Home Warranty on Sunday and they had a technician out here on Monday and it was fixed right away. They approved the they had to replace the fan and they approved it right away and it was done.

They're very, very easy to file a claim. Easy to to communicate with them through e-mail and fairly fast response. Just recently, we had the air conditioner system go down and stop working, so they contacted someone within 24 hours, and that company called us. We set up a time for them to come, and they approved all of the repair items, and it was done within a few days. I've had no no reason yet to be unsatisfied, so. And then I've I've had them since 2015 and made probably maybe 4 or 5 claims and it's always been good.

I’ve had a contract for nine years. I’ve used it many times. Some experiences were not the greatest, some were just ok. But my last claim was our air conditioner (again) and we had a woman tech come. She fixed it is 20 minutes. Very, very pleased with how quickly she came and how quickly it was fixed. It’s worth it for peace of mind. I bought a three year contract for a discount.

Whenever I call them the customer service is good. They always send somebody out within a reasonable time to deal with my issues and the service is excellent. If they can't fix it they they replace it. The service is good. Very recently I had to have a washing machine fixed and it was a minor problem. The person was in and out and they fixed it and I haven't had trouble with it since.

I had an issue with one of the servicers and as soon as I got in touch with the customer service department at Home Warranty, they got in touch with the company and it magically got dealt with. I did have one professional who kept having to reschedule and it was a bit frustrating on my end, but when I called Home Warranty to follow up on it, they immediately followed up with the service provider. They confirmed what was going on and made sure that I had an appointment. So even when there was a problem, they dealt with it efficiently. Their customer service is is wonderful. The online service for booking appointments is wonderful and easy to use and when I've had to call in, the the people I've spoken to on the phone have been very knowledgeable, very helpful, very courteous, just all around, very easy and good to work with.

One of the times that I needed the service I had to call in a second time and the second representative gave additional information that was helpful. She answered my questions and it resolved the issue. The first rep didn't even seem like she took the time to look into it because she right away said no. I called HWA and they came provided the service and it was very costly but but it was done.

The lady that I talked to at Home Warranty of America was very understanding, understood my problem and my concerns, and handled it very nicely, very professionally I was very pleased with that aspect of it. They they were trying their best. I had an issue and it took them until this spring to finally get a technician out here. They made several appointments for technicians to show, but the technicians were no shows until finally about a month ago. We finally had a technician come out and fixed the problem very rapidly. It wasn't really Home Warranty of America's fault as much as it was the companies that they had contacted being no shows.

I think they're great. I've had it for over 10 years. I've used them dozens of times and never a problem. Not a single problem. We needed a plumber and he came. He was extremely knowledgeable about what to do. He he was a terrific professional, nice person. There's some things that they could have chosen not to cover, but they went the extra mile for me. Whenever something's broken, they are able to find a service repairman quickly. And then they come and they fix it.

They sent out service rep just 2 days after reporting the A/C was broken. The technician repaired the outside unit and has us back to cool air within 45 minutes after arrival. We are very satisfied with the quick repair time, the professionalism of the technician, and that we only had to pay the deductible for repairs that would have been hundreds more.

I called, I explained the problem, I got an email from a plumbing company within an hour scheduling an appointment. The plumber showed up, was very courteous, attempted to clear the problem and could not. He made a call and told me when the next person with the needed equipment would be here. The next plumber arrived as scheduled, fixed the problem and said thank you to me. This all was Dad’s Plumbing.

I've had HWA since I purchased my first home 8 years ago because my realtor insisted the seller pay for the first year. I've renewed every year since. Home Warranty of America gives us peace of mind. We know if we have a high-dollar problem in our home, they will work with us to solve the problem. For example, we began having dishwasher trouble recently. A repairman came out and installed a part that subsequently did not solve the problem. HWA is sending us a check for a new dishwasher. They give great service and we are very glad we got on board with them.

They're very prompt. They answer within 24 hours. The times that we've called them for service they they've been providing service within 24 hours. When we first bought our home, within about 90 days the compressor on our refrigerator went out and I called them. They came out the next day and repairman fixed the compressor and the refrigerator and we didn't have to do a total replacement and I was very pleased with their work and how fast it was.

The men who came out to work on my appliances were very, very nice and very competent. Two weeks ago my refrigerator that stopped working. People came out, they fixed one part of it, then another part of it went and they had to come out two more times to fix it and now it is fixed. It was sometimes very difficult to communicate with the people on the phone.

I have been very pleased. I had to use it very recently for a refrigerator repair. If I need a repair person locally, sometime it's very, very hard. But to have them as a backup to find somebody and get them here in a timely manner, get them to your home, it's just this is very beneficial. It saves me a lot of money. Most of the time when I've talked to them, the person on the phone that I talked to knew exactly what they were doing and was able to handle my problem. One time the air conditioner went out. I called them two days later they were here, fixed it, and went about their business. Another time the dishwasher didn't work they got that fixed in one day. Another time the toilet upstairs kept running they came and fixed that. Everything's been fixed within 48 hours.

Each time I've had to use them over the last couple of years, they just took one phone call and they took care of everything. I just had to pay my $100 deposit or not deposit. My dryer quit working after we moved here and it was about three months and they replaced it for us. I also had a garage door spring break and they sent someone out and took care of it right away and my ice maker in my refrigerator quit working and they sent somebody out and took care of that. Each time it only took one phone call. It's been well worth having the warranty service for the price that we paid for it.
