A/c went on a Sunday. Was told contractor wouldn't be out till Thursday. I called contractor myself. He came out on Monday. Diagnosed that evaporator coil was leaking. Said need whole new system due to age. Paid my deductible. Did not hear back from Choice. Had to call them. There customer service consists of you call a number wait on hold then they ask for your number. You have to wait on a call back. They finally call back. I had to call five times to finally get someone to try to approve claim. They came back that I owed 5000 after the deductible. After more calls I was told they would review my claim. They said they do not cover the compressor or refrigerant.. after a week and a have of fighting them i canceled and had a real company install a a brand new ac and furnace for 5500. Waste of time and money.. worst customer service i ever had..

When the sales rep gave me the pitch about CHW... I mentioned that many of my appliances were old. He assured me that if something broke they fix it or replace it with something similar. I just needed to pay the service fee of $65. I signed up for 6 years. Several years later, my hot water heater failed. The could not fix it and they replaced it! This is a wonderful service I thought... and I told my friends all about CHW. Another two years have past and my oven stopped working. A technician came out, assessed the problem and call several days later to indicate the parts were no longer available. CHW offered to give me $338 gift card at Lowes to replace the oven. The oven cost is $4000. CHW indicated that I misread the agreement... they could replace the unit OR give me money. They elected to give me money... but not even 10% of the cost of an equivalent oven. So, I recommend you UNDERSTAND the FINE print and the meaning of the words before you sign up with CHW.

Your service is good but your choice of communication with your customers is lacking. Your service providers don’t call me to see when they can come out. They just schedule a time and expect you to be home as well as figure out they’re coming by finding it in your emails.

I’m okay with what they have provided for service, for the most part. I don’t appreciate that they said my service call was cancelled, when the guy was here for an hour. He said the parts could not be ordered. They have the option of a second opinion at their cost and should have been honest with me. The second guy replaced my ice maker and so far it’s not leaking, I sure hope it stays that way. They took too long to get it fixed and my floor is ruined, which of course they don’t cover.

I feel the sales pitch was overindulged. The customer service always nice but not completed in just one call. Last claims started out as just one and ended up being forced to place another claim instead of just the original claim. Whole process included numerous calls to customer service by myself and lots of emails sent by the service provider and it took approximately 6-8 weeks. Way too long to go without central air August into October. I’m hoping next claims go more smoothly then these first 2or 3. The 1st claim was for my Bosch washing machine would have cost more then the final claim amount received. Couldn’t even purchase the Bosch base model for the 576.00 check received and this was after I disputed the claim with no satisfaction. I was told during the sales pitch that the replacements would be same brand and comparable or higher model.

I really like the idea of speaking with only American people so that I don’t have to try to understand someone who speaks English as a second language. However, I have not Had great experiences with the technicians that have been sent to my house with the claims that I have filed with choice. The latest being a plumber. I filed a claim three weeks ago tomorrow. My bathtub faucet is still running profusely. The plumber has rescheduled his appointment three times. The most recent was scheduled on a day when I cannot be available for him to come. I have contacted him to reschedule and have heard nothing back from him, which was four days ago. My bathtub faucet continues to run.
