choice had an excellent service company come and take care of my garage door failure, not only was it fixed, it was replaced. The technician was very professional and worked hard to make sure the job was done correctly. I have been a customer for many years and without exception, things have been taken care of an a professional maner. The last issue was a dryer failure. Same service, same positive results. In general the service has been pretty good and the contractors have been competent. The issue that I have is that Choice won't approve replacing failed equipment with something similar. The recirculation pump had a timer but the only one approved to replace it was one without a timer. The only ceiling fan they would approve was builder grade so I ended up buying a better fan. The technician said they would refund me the $75 that Choice would approve. As yet, I have not received the refund. So basically it seems that if something needs to be replaced, Choice will only approve the cheapest option rather than replacing it with something similar to the original equipment.

I am so impressed with this company and their chosen contractors. I was hesitant to purchase a warranty but it has paid off already!. Filing claim is easy and response and approval fast. I recommend this company highly. The contractor Jonathan from Air Infinity did an excellent job installing my HVAC system and went above and beyond to help me with the whole process. He has genuine concern for his clients and desire to perform his best for them. Finding a young man with such ethic and devotion is refreshing and a blessing to his clients. I thank Choice Home Warranty for their ease and attention to excellent service. They are a blessing!

Repairman could not come out for a week. Lost all food. Was without a refrigerator for a month. Got charged two payments of $120.00 each. One at the beginning for a service charge( expected). One at the end because repairman said all parts weren’t covered ( unexpected). Difficulty getting phone calls returned.

After 2 weeks, CHW still had not scheduled someone to fix my water heater. I couldn't be without hot water any longer. I called in a repair company. They highly suggest to replace the unit, as the cost would be the same as a new unit. CHW refused to pay anything. Waste of time and money. Customer service was horrible.

Not only do I have choice or warranty for my personal residence, but I also have it for a number of condos that I own in Florida. I am extremely disappointed. Every time either I or one of my rentals has an issue somehow when the service rep calls the company they don’t approve it. It’s ridiculous. You can be sure and come the end of the year. I will cancel service for all eight properties.

I've been waiting over 5 weeks for my oven to get fixed. Technician came and said the part was ordered and should be received in 4 to 5 days. Still no part 3 weeks later. So I guess we're not having thanksgiving dinner this year because you can't cook turkey and dressing without a stove. Your company needs someone to insure parts are ordered and delivered. I have never had a problem with choice until now and I'm not very pleased with the service I've received or not received until now.

I have been having a horribly time with a recent recall that Choice approved at no cost. The service company requires choice to process a new ticket for the recall but it has been an act of congress to get it done. As such the service company had to cancel my scheduled service appointment's. I will be cancelling my account with Choice. You all are not reliable!

My 24 year old AC unit broke down. The AC contractor told me that it couldn’t be repaired and needed to be replaced. Choice Home Warranty that the only thing they would cover was various defective parts in the 24 year old system. The contractor told me they couldn’t guarantee the repair. Terrible service! I would never recommend anyone to use Choice.

Contacted Choice Warranty to schedule a home visit to diagnose a Samsung fridge ice maker not working. The third party vendor scheduled for morning showed up at three in the afternoon after I had been waiting almost the entire day. The tech had a bad attitude and unfriendly demeanor. Without much diligence he told me a new ice maker would have to be ordered. He told me someone from his office would contact me to schedule the install. Choice Warranty contacted me and told me they would not fix it because “it should be Samsung’ responsibility not Choice to replace the faulty ice maker” I was charged $85 for nothing as the third party vendor didn’t even spend 15 minutes to look at the fridge without doing anything physical to earn my money. I feel cheated out of my hard earned money. I don’t know if the grouchy tech had anything to do with the adverse report as he left my house clearly disgruntled after learning he had been given a parking citation for unlawful parking on my street during street sweeping hours.

Sprinkler head in ceiling burst (cold weather); tech came but couldn't repair. Kitchen faucet repaired promptly. Hot water heater repaired promptly. Refrigerator claim denied; appealed--after 10 years of working properly, defect couldn't have been anything other than normal wear and tear, but appeal denied. I'm unhappy!

We chose Choice Home Warranty because of the reviews online. However, we have been nothing but disappointed with the service. Basically, we need our water heater replaced. Choice has sent 4 plumbers to our house (at $100 per visit), each of whom has said the heater needs replacing. Choice has refused to replace it, even though the plumbers said it could start leaking at any moment and flood our house. Not only that but their customer service canceled appointments without telling us. They also denied claims and didn't let us know, we had to call them and ask why. They don't disclose what the plumber said when they denied the claim, even though the plumbers have said there should not be a way for them to deny it. When we submitted claims, we got emails saying someone will be coming between a certain time but when that time occurred no one showed up and we'd get a call from that company saying that Choice never scheduled a time but submitted a request. Overall, the process has very unpleasant and unhelpful.
