Many promises were made when I joined the Choice Home Warranty. They made me feel as though I would be treated fairly when in actuality they just wanted my money. I was convinced to join their company and it cost me $5,000+ which is suppose to cover me until 2027. I am sorry I extended myself for so long because the very first attempt I made to use them; I was denied. After that, everytime I use them, it cost me $85 and that's before any services were performed. It cost me over $200 for refrigerator repair and finally they sent me a voucher that wasn't even enough to cover the cost.

Disappointed with the way my claim to fix toilet flush leak in to toilet. Inspite of requesting the tech from Capri Engineering, to replace the canister valve, the tech insisted and replace the inlet float valve in to the flush tank, which did not fix the issue. When I gave this info to Choice they asked Capri to send their tech. The Ownee, Mark whom I called said he will bring dye to test leakage, and cane without any thing. Asked me if I hv food color to use, which I did. It hv. He waited for 5 min and sad he does not see any leakage and made VERY RUDE remarks that I was nitpicking !!! I asked him how does he concncludevtgat without testing with the dye which he was to bring and test and told him that I hv no time to keep complaining if the issue was fixed. He apparently reported to Choice that the issue is fixed!!!? I complied to ur.Cust device, so I was sent a link to access and fix appointment with ur specialist. The specialist just would not take my word that the issue still persisted. Eventually I was frustrated and tried and fixed it my self. I can send you proofs of receipt of canister valve that I bought from Lowe’s and replaced myself, looking at a YouTube video!! Incurred $22 for the same in addition to waste of all my time pushing my claim. Very very disappointed and frustrated with the rude attitude of Capri Engg owner and your totally useless support!!! VEEY VERT VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Wonder whether you would care to reimburse the cost of canister valve, if I send you the receipt from Lowe’s?

Communication was extremely difficult. Your Auto system made notes regarding the fact that we did not want a particular plumbing company to come here. However, twice the appointments made were with the company. We said we would not allow here! Very frustrating not being able to speak to an actual person. Once we got the correct plumbing company, things move smoothly and we were happy.

We put a claim in as our thermostat was not working properly. We were set up iwith Comfort Solutions, LLC. The representative came out, identified that we needed a new thermostat and in 2 weeks installed it. The following week we received a letter from Comfort Solutions informing us that they no longer would be providing services for home warranty companies. We were very disappointed to hear that you other companies are not paying these companies promptly and fairly. Please explain why this is and how you plan to earn our trust.

The drain plug in one of my bathrooms broke off, rusted and corroded. I called to make a claim. "We don't cover that" was the response I got. I just paid $513.00 (with senior discount) to get it fixed. I used a plumbing company that Choice Home Warranty uses. It took about 30 minutes. Outrageous!

I chose CHW because they were offered through corporate incentives. Im not sure I'm going to stay with CHW sure to the level of difficulty of dealing with the company. I work in repair, I understand how these things work. We would NEVER make a customer jump through so many hoops all without ever even getting to talk to a human. It's despicable, honestly. I'll likely be switching to American Home Shield. Ice asked for confirmation from them that they'll repair my dryer that y'all denied without even talking to me and I still have yet to talk to anyone about this yet

Your services were recommended by the VA organization that helped me buy my house. However I have had a couple of problems that were not handled well. 1- dishwasher, I never received reimbursement for replacement. This was out of pocket. 2- when home heating system failed, resolution not resolved. 3-when shower drain was clogged, plumber assigned to the job never showed up, kept rescheduling. Decided to get plumber on my own. Cost more than your service call.

I’m still waiting for the prepaid card for $272.00 to put toward the purchase of a new dishwasher. I’ve had to go through the holidays without the use of a dishwasher. Service tech was here on Dec 23 told me I needed a new flame sensor that he would order however I never got a call back I called on Jan 2nd he told part had not come in yet. He is supposed to be here at 1 pm today to install it. I feel the process was long and no follow up. I switched to Choice in September from a company I used for years however I am not happy with this first experience with Choice.

Company is good but not keeping promises. When they sell warranty they will present as they will cover everything etc. Issue - they don't schedule tech for more then week or so. Once tech goes on site he writes report and then go back to company, you will not hear for few weeks for the resolutions. Most of the time they will deny the claim with really none justifiable cause . I have tenant moved in the home and issue started. I had open three claim for three issues. They did not cover any of them. Still, I was liable for vendor trip cost . So this warranty are not good. I am ready to cancel warranties with my all properties and handle my self with handy man when issue comes up This is cheaper and faster then paying Yearly subscription and still you end up paying charges

I liked the idea of being online but have had a few bad experiences, the places when I Yelp them are average at best so not sure what the vetting process is like. I was given sprinkler coverage as an incentive to purchase an additional year, only to be DENIED for a sprinkler issue. The company charged me cash for the service but whats the point of having insurance only to come out of pocket. I felt duped and felt like this was a terrible customer experience

Company say repair or replace, ( I agree within reason) however the amount given wasnt even enough to replace item. I wasn't looking for top of the line but maybe an additional $100 to be closer to actually replace item. Would I renew i will have to think about that.

Choice Home Warrantee has no apparent control over their contractors. They sent me a Plumber to replace my Water Heater and he disconnected the Humidifier and failed to reconnect it to the New Water Heater. I had to wait for Four Seasons to tell me that my Humidifier was not connected. Who does that ?? Is this plumber so incompetent that he forgot to re attach my Humidifier. And now I can get him to come back and finish the job that he was paid for. Good Services Plumbing and Excavation ought to change their name. And Choice Home Warrantee ought to see to it that their contractors finish the job. 9 times he's promised to return and complete the job and he hasn't made it here yet. And maybe the worst part is that Choice Home Warrantee is after me to renew my contract saying we'll give you 2 months free. How about just getting your contractor to finish this simple job ??

Heater went out while freezing outside. Arranged through CHW late that afternoon for a technician to come out and by early the next day he arrived. Blown fuse issue was replaced and within an hour I was up and running. They used SEARS for repairs and they were very professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to coordinate with. It was a very easy process to sign up for this home warranty. My rep (Miguel G.) was knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions. He recognized that I had previously had a home warranty (on a different home) and only had a few technical questions for him. He offered me a VIP (senior) status and gave some amazing discounts!! Hopefully I won't ever need to use the warranty, but should a problem arise, I have piece of mind knowing the systems and appliances are covered!

We are having a terrible time getting our double wall ovens fixed. These KitchenAid ovens are practically new. We have been doing without our ovens for about one month, and this time of year we should be baking cookies! We had an appointment scheduled, but then it was cancelled—no call or email or text. Everything seems to be going out at the same time. Our built in microwave also went out. We were offered $180 for it. It will cost $1800 to replace it. Our built in refrigerator apparently could not be repaired also. Again we were offered a minimal amount to replace the refrigerator. I had to pay over $8000 to get a new refrigerator. This whole experience has been devastating. I am considering not renewing my plan. There needs to be an option to replace an appliance with an appliance of at least equal value.

I like being able to file a claim online, and usually I am contacted pretty quickly by a repair company. I’ve had a few claims through the years, and only once a repair person did not show up. My washer died and they sent me a check towards a new one because it was not worth it to fix it.

The warranty provides a simple and relatively inexpensive way for a customer to get a tradesman/ technician to address each specific issue. But the rates paid to the technicians are so low compared to the norm where I live, that you wait weeks, for someone to be located and assigned. They do offer you the chance to find your own technician and get reimbursed. But they offer $100 per hr and the technician rate is 2 or 3 x that so you only actually get a small amount of the repair reimbursed.
