My first and only claim thus far contained absolutely no dialogue with the techincian that you all hired. You immediately denied the claim without a conversation. The technician was extremely knowledgable so one would think a warranty company would consult with the technician they hired before coming to a conclusion. Granted there is an appeal option but you would expect some dialogue from the start. I received a message from the technician of the denial of the claim but no explanation to him.

So far, the technicians/vendors that have been dispatched were good. I really think you guys need to evaluate the "authorization hold" process. I was unable to submit a claim but because you "preauthorize" before submittal, the hold is on my account, and it takes forever to get it released. I wish you would also look into finding more vendors for rural areas. Having to wait 2-4 days is crazy.

The challenge was getting the appointment scheduled the CHW, there was some confusion on the original appointment being cancelled but no one could figure out who cancelled the meeting. For important things like air conditioning in florida it should be a max of next day service. but appointments often are 2 days or more, which makes think a customer it’s a way to force clients like me with a contract to obtain services from a separate company faster and avoid using the services already paid for.

My case was then reassigned. 24 hours later I received an email suggesting I find my own repair person and I would be reimbursed. This is not great customer service

The Case manager has no idea how a furnace work. It worked normal before and got issue. So now a technician was assigned to fix it. He fixed it and then wanted to up sale by asking to add C-Wire, refused to connect the current wire with the furnace in order to connect with the thermostat. The Case manager basically just didn't have a glue what is going on, repeated like a robot that Choice Home Warranty does not cover C-wire. I didn't ask for cover C-Wire, I asked for the technician to come back and bring my furnace back to work as it should be with its current wire like before. No need to add anything.

Work doesn’t get done right then and there. Send person out. They assess. Then eventually return to fix. Plumbing is the issue. They will fix but not replace as instructed by professional plumbers. So if leaks occur, they will only come out and be instructed to fix leak but not damage done by leak. If they let the professionals do their jobs it would be a good company. Will not be renewing. They outsource calls so you will be speaking to people who don’t live in US so they don’t understand fully the emergency situations are when speaking to them. Sadly the only time you speak to someone in US is when they are selling you a Home choice warranty deal.

I was led to believe that I would. have coverage to include my HVAC System. I purchased my condo in August of last year. The unit received a passing grade during the pre-purchase inspection. I secured a maintenance contract providing 2 semi-annual inspections. A recently completed inspection revealed leaking of the coils. My reading of the contract (which I should have done earlier) indicated the HVAC system was not covered. Since the system was 14 years old, I opted to replace the unit at a cost of $8,000. There was also a $3,000 maximum reimbursement for anything covered per my reading of the contract. That sure would have been a helpful to reduce my out of pocket cost.

This is a good company for small repairs. I do know if any other company would do better when it comes to replacing the item. But after you have gotten a second opinion that agrees with the first opinion, that should be enough to help pay for a replacement without looking for excuses to get out of keeping your word to share in the replacement costs.

I liked that they paid the fee for the technician to come and diagnose what was wrong with the dishwasher. I also found the people I talked with at Choice were friendly and helpful. What I didn't like is that I was careful to find a comparable dishwasher in about the same price range for the replacement, but instead of paying the full cost of a new dishwasher, I received about 75% of the cost of the new dishwasher. I had purchased the home warranty with the understanding that if an appliance failed, the warranty would pay the replacement cost. I must have misunderstood this part.

Have experienced helpful repairs; some service calls were not the best service experienced; some were fantastic. Of late Customer Service with 1- Representative was not rewarding or helpful but CHW came thru and was able to get the policy updated. For that I am very thankful and appreciate the service. Having to pay for the same problem does not make sense when the original Claim was never completed -- and reissue of new Claim is for the same issue...... but I'm grateful that the policy was restored! The original claims agents are very friendly and helpful. But in our latest claim, we had a unique plumbing issue that had to be upgraded to a claims specialist. While she was knowledgeable, she was also very cold in explaining why they would only pay for “builder’s grade” as per the contract. The original plumber got frustrated and pulled out.
