I chose Choice Home Warranty because it seemed to be an excellent value. After the waiting period was over, the garage door opener stopped working. I called CHW and asked if garage door openers were covered. The answer was yes, file a claim. I did. In less than 24 hours, CHW responded and found a door company to diagnose the problem. The company sent their report to CHW. CHW that the opener needed to be replaced and authorized the company to replace the opener. The new opener is working after only 3 days from my call to CHW.

Soon after my renters moved in, the washer broke. It wouldn’t spin out the water. Choice sent a repairman to fix it- the first sent said it wasn’t repairable, but the second technician - directly from Whirlpool- noticed the door latch was broken and fixed it during his initial visit. Thankfully, it was fixed to my renters’ satisfaction Good response from Choice to send an expert.

I’ve had a very positive experience with Choice Home Warranty. I really appreciate how responsive they have been whenever I’ve needed assistance. So far, I’ve had about four or five instances where I needed repairs, and they have provided coverage and sent someone out to address the issues. Having a home warranty gives me peace of mind knowing that when something goes wrong, I have someone I can call for help. Choice Home Warranty service is excellent. I called them on Monday about my fridge and by Tuesday morning the technician was there to repair it. He understood what the problem was and to my surprise had all the parts with him. He had to replace the compressor on the fridge. He completed the work quickly with no mess. At the time I enrolled it was the best price in regards to coverage. Only thing is for small jobs such as exhaust fan or faucet its best to find a local contractor. I waited 7 days or so for both of the mentioned repairs. The exhaust fan had a 65 dollar fee for just changing the blade not the fan itself. The faucet with 65 fee I spend over 200 dollars for a faucet because choice home warranty only covers 65 dollars for kitchen faucets so they rest is out of pocket cost. Good faucets cost close to 200 dollars. For small job do it yourself or get a local contractor. Bigger job might be worth it such as big ticket item such as appliances and heating and cooling systems.

I was impressed with the national rating of Choice Home Warranty. So far, I have only had one claim with Choice Home Warranty. The garbage disposal quite working, I contacted Choice and they assigned a repair person in a short period of time. An appointment was arranged, the repair technician arrived on time, was very professional and efficient. He determined that the disposal could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. He received authorization from Choice to replace the disposal which was done the same day. I wish all repair jobs, such as automobile repairs, went as quickly and easily as this one did.

I just made my first claim with Choice in the mid afternoon .I couldn’t be more impressed. The gentleman that I spoke to at Choice was very professional and understood my dilemma with my air conditioner. I was notified by email right away with the name of the company that would be contacting me and scheduling an appointment. That very evening the company contacted me via email and said they would see me between eight and 10 the following morning. The company that serviced my air conditioner was at my house the next morning right at 8 am. The service man checked out my air conditioner my filters I mean, he did everything in by time. He left a couple hours later. Everything was working perfect with my air conditioner. My thanks to Choice for working with companies like the one that came to my house. It was great.

I’m a former American home shield customer and their customer service was the worst I was with them for eight years so I canceled them after a nightmare,bad experience and after I search for a new warranty company which I came across choice home warranty. I’m not even sure how much time had lapsed since I’ve joined this company maybe a year and then my washing machine went out. You guys sent a rep out to my house. Couldn’t fix my washing machine and settled with me and gave me a a check for Cash to replace My washing machine it was seamless. It was efficient and it was something that your company did that Home Shield couldn’t do in eight years.

the technican that came was very thorough. When the city came they only said the leak was on my side by using his earphones and something they use to detect where the sounds are comng from. When our man came he actually kept digging in the mud until he found where the sound of the leak was. While he was still here I called the city, he talked to the agent. I told him i would call him after the city came back out. That same day about two hours later a person came out from the city said they will be here Monday and install a new meter. I will call High View Plumbing and let them know if that resolved the problem.

They will replace your appliance if it goes out. However, the bulk of the cost is in the labor to replace the appliance. If your water heater goes out, you’ll still need a few thousand on hand to replace it.

On a recent claim they said the problem was not normal wear for a blower motor going out on my air conditioner in my home. I have maintenance done on my air conditioner twice a year and they still denied a claim. After taking my 100.00 deductable I still don't have my claim approved. I was not happy with the company they sent out who didn't care about the claim. I now have to pay out of my pocket $1482.78 to get the blower replaced. I will be canceling my servie with Choice Home Warranty for not being fair with their assesments. I paid on timee my service fee since 2023 and was a good customer.

Not as I was told when I signed up. The person I spoke to said when an item is broken, it will be replaced with a similar item. Well, my bathroom sink hot water faucet stopped working so I made the call and a tech came out. The faucet set was $240 and they only paid $70 because it was considered above basic/luxury. They don't stand by their word and only say what you want to hear in order to get you to sign up. I was also told customer service is 100% in the U.S. only to find out when I called for an issue, it was overseas. I don't care about where it is but there was a language barrier when I tried explaining. Another lie. I have also been getting spammed with promotional emails asking me to become a customer. I get at least 10/week. I have called three times to get removed and each time I was told give it 48 hours and you will be removed. Well, it has been over two months and I still get the spam emails. Lie number three. I have already signed up with Select Home Warranty and I can't wait to cancel my Choice Home Warranty on November 12th after the 30 day grace period ends with Select. This company is full of lies and can't be trusted. Plus, they have been sued multiple times. Trash company!!

The technician from wildcat waterworks on the first scheduled appointment never showed up and it took weeks to try to get another company which they don’t have so we had to take wildcat onece again he changed out the three under sink. Water leaks on shut off valve, which seems to be working OK, but when he rotor router, the toilet to clear it the toilet, somewhat flushed but very slowly, but not thoroughly. The technician informed us it might have some air in the lines and for us to keep flushing it empty as it should start flushing stronger. It did not, what happened was after 10 to 15 flushes it, flush slower, and slower and slower until the bowl filled up again and didn’t drain. Call the technician but he informed us it flushed when he left. So my wife and I are taking the toilet apart as he did not. To see what the real problem is. Found obstruction and removed it. this toilet is somewhat new and the brand is glacier Bay. Chinese made and is very cheap. Choice warranty has not impressed me at all. I paid three years advance and we are very unsatisfied.

I will never use them again. They canceled the plumber that they had assigned to replace my water heater (13 year old Bradford White Defender that had finally bit the dust) because they wanted to use their supplier and make me wait 6 weeks for the part to come in. The plumber was able to find the part locally and could have had it the next day, but it was going to cost a little more, and get here quicker, than what their supplier charged (along with their 6 week wait). When he told them that he wasn't going to make a customer wait, and go 6 weeks without hot water for a part he could have the next day, they terminated his assignment. This all happened in a matter of 3 hours. They take the cheapest route, with the longest wait. I heard a quote that explains them best. "They're paid to deny!" Do your research before using this company!

I did my research a few years ago to locate a better warranty company then who I used to have. I thought I was covered, to help cover my aging home utilities especially my furnace/AC. Well, it did not work out. I had to go the "reimbursement" route because no reputable company here locally works with warranty companies. OK, no biggie, thought it was all set when the AC failed this year. Well, the $258 dollars they paid me was to cover their fees for a recharge of the system. It needed replaced, it had a leak and the tech who diagnosed my system said if he was to recharge it, that could work for a little bit, but by spring it will likely need recharged again. And while I was negotiating with Choice W. another problem developed (as expected) so I replaced the unit. Choice stuck to their guns, and only paid me for the recharge even though the $258 barely covered the cost of the charging fluid, let alone the labor charge. Nope, this doesn't work for the major issues I purchased it for. Had to move on.....
