CHW provided a 8.5 year old coil replacement - older than the failed coil that they took out. I cannot get a proper warranty on the "new" coil because it is so old. They also undersized the unit. They will not fix their mistake because the replacement is not currently broken. After multiple inquiries, I am getting pushed around and not given straight answers. Why bother with CHW when they are only causing bigger problems for me in the long run?!

Last claim you did come through with $200 for a new dishwasher that cost $600. I have been waiting a month to get the seal on the freezer door of my refrigerator fixed. Because the seal is worn out ice keeps freezing up on the inside of the freezer door and it has started freezing on the inside of the other wall and completely freezing inside on my food. They keep sending me wanting me to give feedback on their company and I’m just telling you the truth. This feedback is going to hurt them and it’s their own fault for not fixing my refrigerator.

We purchased a home warranty to fix things that break down. However, you find ways around it. Such as my water heater when it went out because the tank started leaking. Well we don't cover the tank was the reply. Then our ice maker started acting up and the reply was "The company shoould cover it because there are recalls on it. However, the company didn't cover it because it was bought as a dented appliance. Therefore, they won't cover it, and neither will you. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing another year from you.

The appliance dealer came out and charged me $150.00. He said he would order a part for the dishwasher. I never heard from him. I left message after message with no reply. One time he answered and said he would look up when the part would be in and call me back in a few minutes. He never called back. My last message to him was forget it. I have bought a new dishwasher. I will not be calling for your help again!

Choice should do more research on the service providers they send to clients home. I had a person to come out fixed my AC and charged me fees since I used my credit card. I used 3 credit cards 12% fee. But yet I feel like the person I spoke to at Choice thought this situation was laughable due to I should done my own research.

I own a duplex I was under the impression if my policy had two different addresses. That meant two different apartments. Wrong. My water heater went out on my unit. I paid the plumber with choice $ My second water heater went out. I was told 1 water heater with my policy. They claim it was wrote incorrectly. But I was not paying for duplex policy for 7 months Go figure

I had to call more than once and they had no record of the claim, so I had to submit it twice, but once submitted, the subcontractor contacted me immediately. The technician was limited to what Choice accepted, and so he fixed what they approved. That being said, there is still a leak present, although much less than before.

RUN!!! Avoid at all costs. I would NOT recommend Choice Home Warranty company to my worst enemy. If they have a negative star option, I would rate it -1000. It's all a rip-off! I purchased their $750 plan because of the type of appliances I have. My $2300 three-door refrigerator with an alarm, ice, and water dispenser stopped working, so I called CHW. I waited over 3 weeks for them to tell me the refrigerator can't be repaired, it needs to be replaced instead. So instead of CHOICE HOME WARRANTY replacing my refrigerator with a newer one, they offered me an $800 gift card to Lowe's. Lowe's standard two-door refrigerators start at $900. Choosing Choice Home Warranty is one of the worst mistakes I've made in my entire life.

When our oven burned out and was unrepairable, we were very unhappy with small amount Choice offered toward getting a new one. A more recent repair of our refrigerator/ice maker went better, although the tech did not rectify the fluctuating temps in the freezer and fridge, even though he said he knew the likely cause.

This was the second time within a two month period that we had to have a tech come out on our refrigerator. Basically it was for the same reason. Our compressor is going out however it did not get replaced. He paid $65 each visit. And will probably have the same issue within the next 90 days

The plumber sent, Aaron, was excellent. But choice 1st sched me with a plumber to unstop a bath sink 4-5 days later but this offer was canceled then another was sched 2 days later. Choice needs to add more to their lists.

My A/C did not work most of the summer and in Oklahoma. 3 service calls -; First two didn't know what they were doing. Finally, the third people diagnosed the issue but it still took another week to get the past and fixed. My A/C is an old R22 system that Choice should replace. Instead, I have a gerry rigged fan attached with wire ties to the frame. Than, I had them inspect my heater for fall, $90. They found a compositor that was going bad but I'm told the system has to stop working for a valid claim 😡 Why pay for inspection if choice is not going to fix diagnosed issues. Finally, the have it will 3 technicians and 10wks to sorts sorta finally fix my A/C and I know better - it should not be an issue for customers to choose their service company. That is our right by law. Don't fight customers. Oh, I forgot - more local vendors closer to my area would be really helpful. These vendors are coming almost 100m to service when there are plenty in Stillwater.

They were highly recommended to me. The person who recommended cancelled their contract, and I understand why. It takes much to long for them to find a contractor in Paducah. Contractors I spoke with, and paid out of my pocket say it’s b/c they don’t make good on their payments, they expect too much ip front work, and are difficult to work with. They offer reimbursrment, but contractors don’t want, or have time to send info to Choice Warranty and then have to come back to do my work. In a couple instances I just paid myself.

1. We've been waiting for a week to get an electrician to examine our electrical issues and still haven't been given the option to find our own and be reimbursed. This is as bad as American Home Shield. 2. I had to talk to a foreigner who was useless in helping me instead of a knowledgeable caring American who understands the work ethic and demands of our fast-paced, results-oriented culture. 3. I had to complain to get reimbursement for our boiler which heats our home because it's winter and we'd still be waiting for a technician all week if I hadn't while sitting in the cold with space heaters. You're too slow and this isn't the service I was sold on.

Washing machine repair in mid September did not work. Have called Choice 4 times since then to notify of the still existing problem and have had no response. I was told to call the technician, Jose from Tucson Appliance repair but no response. I am disabled and have had to have someone take me to the laundromat many times spending money that I don’t have. Been with Choice for 3 years. Am not happy.

This would have been a 5 but the replacement program is terrible. My dishwasher was deemed unable to be repaired by repairman who was great. However I was only offered $272 for a full replacement based on how they calculate. It was $1200 new with install. I could get an equivalent replacement for $1000 but they would not budge off the $272. No mention of depreciation by customer service. Only keep saying based on size, options etc. Regardless of what I showed them. I challenge anyone to find a replacement dishwasher with the options of a Kenmore Elite for $272, Read small print very carefully for replacement option.

I liked that most times the appointment Was made that day the claim was made. I am mad about having a job done that was okayed, but they wanted the work to be done by this very unprofessional plumber. I was not confident in him so I had a plumber I knew do the job. We took pictures, had the paperwork of the water heater I purchased and they would not reimburse me for what they said they would do for the plumber they sent out. $450 is a lot of money to me.

I filed a recent claim. When I pick the item I wanted to file a claim on. It asked what the problem was with the item. I picked from the dropbox the light of the refrigerator. Come to find out I paid a service fee for the guy to come check out the light in the refrigerator. and Choice denied the claim because it wasn’t a mechanical fix. But their excuse for denying the claim was stating that it didn’t show to be damage from wear and tear. They shouldn’t have had it in the drop menu of the appliance I had picked. Because then I wouldn’t of wasted my service fee and file a claim. they wanna argue when you talk to the case manager that is not in the policy to repair items that are not mechanical.

This is actually a review for the service company you sent to my home for my washing machine. 3 weeks of visits: 1 week wait to assess a week to get the motor another week waiting for the rotor that he broke after trying to change the motor Today, all installed, he leaves, but it still doesn't work They can't come back til next Tuesday another week for him to install everything, run as test, I guess, and say it was done. 10 minutes for my wife to discover its still not working and now waiting til Tuesday just for him to come back and tell us something else

The appliance company, Runyon was nice however, it was not noted that I had to call them first before they would come out. They sent a very nice tech, Stefan who figured the problem and said they would have to order the part. This took 2 weeks to get. My dishwasher is fixed and Stefan gave me some great tips.

Overall this company does good. I think the most irritating thing about any home warranty is the money allowed for any replacement is manufacturer price which no one can go and buy a replacement for that price. I feel that the amount given should at least be the full amount of lowest priced appliance in that category. Example: stove… amount given $332. Lowest price basic oven found was around 500.
