My experience with the guy they sent out was awesome. He addressed the problem immediately, no questions asked. He took care of the problem with no issues. The guy who came out to fix my stove was very nice and knowledgeable. Choice warranty chose to give me money instead of fixing it. I don’t think having to wait up to 30 days for the money especially when u don’t have an appliance is unacceptable. That’s the only complaint I have about my issue so far.

We bought this new whole home warranty in August. Our home is only 6 years old so we didn't really expect to have a need to use it, but we are the type of people that take out extra warranties for all of our purchase so we thought why not protect our entire home. This included our inground pool pump. Wouldn't you know it, 45 days after purchasing the warranty our pool pump died. Choice approved the claim without any issues. We are so glad we went with Choice Home Warranty.

I was hesitant about using this company when I read reviews but I am sure glad I did. They sent a tech to check our air conditioner because it was losing Freon. That tech could not find the leak. We paid the $100 service fee as expected. The company then found another company that came and found the leak. Choice agreed to replace the air conditioner. Everyone responded quickly to our need. Do be careful to read the “fine print” on what is not covered. The AC and installation cost us over $2000 which was far less than an $8000 quote we had gotten from another company before remembering we were paying for this warranty service. We did have to check the website for communication. I had not known they contacted another company until they called. Their communication could improve. That is the only reason I give a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating.

it took several weeks with multiple workmen to get everything handled as each of the 5 service calls required a different repairman, and also cost me $75 per person. also, the other negative is that Choice Home Warranty would not put both AC repairs on the same ticket as they claimed only 1 item per ticket, so I had to pay an additional $75 for the AC repair man to come back at another time when he had the ability to fix both units while on the same trip. A bit of a rip-off the way it is structured.

I have been a Choice customer for about 3 months now. My first experience was a dishwasher issue (would not drain). Their apps and scheduling are excellent, but the service not as much. The tech was courteous and prompt, but ultimately did not address my problem and his advice resulted in me wasting time and money on parts and frustration for no reason. Long story short, the tech identified that the dishwasher had been misused but failed to consider the extent. He advised me to replace a few minor parts that added up to about $100 and then to run some cleaning cycles on the unit. He also promised to deliver a new housing. The housing never arrived, I never heard from the tech again, and the recommended parts and actions made no difference. Ultimately, the water pump in the unit was damaged beyond repair, and the cost to replace was not worth investing in a 10 year old unit. This was literally the fist thing the Frigidaire tech tested once I gave them the background. In the end, I wasted $200 and a month of my time messing with parts and service calls that did not address the issue.

I was very pleased with the rapid response by Choice Home Warranty when my washer developed a leak! They contracted with a very reputable home service company that once specialized in my washer brand. Sears Home Service inspected my washer, determined the problem, ordered parts which were delivered to my home, & the same technician returned to complete the repair! The total repair was completed in 2 weeks! This is significant as I live in Hawaii where everything takes longer (shipping, appointments, etc.) I was also impressed with the technician’s professionalism & capability. All done! Thank you, Choice Home Warranty!

If I had to list a dislike it's that there isn't a list of reputable companies they can use to ensure that an appointment is scheduled as soon as possible. They get the right servicemen in to do the job, but sometimes the schedule for them to arrive is longer than I want or need. And sometimes, after waiting hours for them to arrive, they don't show up, and don't give me much advanced notice. Then I have to wait to be rescheduled, sometimes days later.

I own a couple of rental properties, and most have this "Choice Home Warranty." It's peace of mind. I have never had a problem with the CHW. They are always on time and do the work well. I have no complaints, and I recommend the service. If you own a house, you better consider having some warranty.

Response was prompt and repair man worked very hard to try to fix my washing machine. I was disappointed, however, that you offered a credit to Lowes that would take 30 days to get. Credit was smaller than expected; however, my washing machine was about 10 years old, so I understand that. I love Lowes, but I found a washing machine for less at a different store. I had to spend $1000 and will have to wait to receive the credit for Lowe’s and then spend it on something else when I could’ve used the help to purchase the washing machine. Thanks for asking.

The service providers were good, the issue I had was with the Sales Team. They consistently told me that monthly billing was not possible, I could only pay the total in one payment or it could be broken into 3 consecutive payments, and both options were a struggle for me for the 3 years I was with them. But! This year when I told them I would not renew, monthly billing was suddenly possible! Also, I was bombarded by phone calls, emails and texts, daily, for the last 2 months of service, in their attempt to keep me as a customer. To top everything off, I was finally sent an email stating that my account would go into an automatic month-to-month payment system! What nerve! The Customer Service Team was pretty good, overall, the Sales Team was very abrupt, bordering on rude.

...had a problem with leaking toilet; they sent a guy from Fiore Plumbing...showed up way late....he did not have proper part and told me what he did should work. Well, toilet leaking again, I called plumber back and sent him photos as he requested...he said he would call back in 15 minutes...never heard from him again...now I have to spend another deductible to get it fixed properly...I do not blame Choice, since the plumber screwed up...now I must get a different plumber.

We called in service request for ice maker problems. Sears home services called and scheduled appoint in 3 days. Technician arrived, diagnosed problem. He checked his local supplier network, found appropriate replacement and called another tech to pick up and deliver replacement to our house. Our tech went to next call then RETURNED TO INSTALL the unit same day!! Our old company would call to schedule the appointment 3-7 days out then diagnose and set return appointment to install part 2-5 days later!

Choice Home Warranty is like any other Home Waranty company; they are all break fix policies and it taks a lot to get things replaced. I find the fee for getting a technician to be high. I also feel that many of the 3rd party outsourcers are not necessarily in my area but the do service the Cincinnatia area. Some of the trades respond more quickly than others so I would say about 50% respond in a timely manner. It will take at least 24-48 hours to get a response back from the vendor depending upon when you call if you call on a Friday, expect someone to get back by the following Tuesday. This year I have had the garage door people in twice at the tune of $150. THe Sears refrigerator guy was in and had to order a part. THe plumber was an absolute nightmare as half of what I reported to be fixed was not included on his report and I was so pissed off he waived my delivery fee. But somehow when he snaked my sink. he removed my vanity first drawer and now it doesn't close, but he said it was that way when he worked on it. It was not. Now I will have the electrician over next week, let's see where this goes. Bottom line, I find them to be about the same as their competitors. I have not had to replace anything yet, but there are still two more months that I need to get through. I will be shopping around but I will probably renew with them as the other's I've had I left them for a reason. so for now Choice Home Warranty is my VOC as I am from NJ and they are based in Edison, NJ.

My experience with choice home warranty was very pleasant to say the least. I made the call and immediately got a response that very day. I was also able to schedule the appointment which was within a few days of my call and was pleasantly surprised with sooner call to fix my air conditioning earlier than expected. The technician was fast, friendly, effective and solved the problem within several minutes. All I had to pay was the service call fee.

I am not sure we are spending our money wisely with this program. We had a garage door repair gut come out and did a little maintenance on our door only to turn around and give us a huge quote to update the door to good working order. My husband had to go out and fix the door after the guy left.

UNACCEPTABLE -- Up until now we had great service with Choice Home warranty. We have had a claim pending for a gas dryer since September and still not resolved. You have contracted with Sears Repair service and have set 5 appointments that are no shows; we don't get a cancellation notice until sometimes after 4 p.m. This is UNACCEPTABLE. My husband has taken off 5 days of work to be there for this service call. You need to get someone else to do your subcontracting. This is deer season, he's is livid. What is going on with this? Now they've reset it for Tuesday 11-26. Thanksgiving week. I am really disgusted. Sorry to vent, this is not acceptable. If I hadn't paid over $2,000 for this warranty I would have retained my own repair person and doing laundry at my own home for the last 2 months. Going to the laundromat or hanging things up on a hanger to dry is getting really old. You need to address this situation.

You should know, because I voiced my dissatisfaction when appealing a claim. It was for a dishwasher, the first tech came, took the part and never followed up. The second one came over, and processed the claim. It was denied! She was very surprised herself. I first spoke to a claim specialist that told me that it was because the part was missing , and it was my responsibility based on the contract! We argue because I told her it was your tech that you sent, who took the part. Then spoke to another Manager who told me that it was not that, but because it was not normal wear and tear. I googled it, and a lot of people had the same issue, so? I wanted to cancel my insurance with you, but I was told I would not get any refund? This is not what I was told when someone convince me to buy it for three year, with the assurance that I could cancel anytime, reason why I bought it for three years. Next I order the part myself, ($50) and fixed it myself. The result: I am a very upset customer, (Real Estate Agent) for a very small intervention that you did not cover for lame reasons.

I don't like the fact that there aren't Vendors close to my location. It took a ridiculously long time for my claims to assigned. Based on what my Sales rep explained to me when I was considering purchasing a Home warranty, I expected swift attention and repair/replacement to claims submitted. In fact, I'm STILL WAITING on a resolution to my last claim placed on 10/17. STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED the egift card from Lowes for my washing machine.!! Customer service has been of NO help. Their response to my inquires is to wait until NOVEMER 26TH. If I haven't received it by then--- call back. WTH???????!!!

I had different things wrong, the companies that came for the AC and the Electrical. They were amazing very professional and helpful walked me there everything and provided hints to keep up with maintenance. Now the gentleman that came to fix the dishwasher and the fridge. The complete opposite he was arrogant hard to talk to he talked down to the customer like if we were incompetent, and didn’t understand what he was saying. Since he arrived he was in a rush to just get out of the house. He almost didn’t even turn the breaker back on and I had to remind him.
