My experience with the guy they sent out was awesome. He addressed the problem immediately, no questions asked. He took care of the problem with no issues. First of all, Walter passed away. Please take his name off…it is upsetting to get messages for him. I understand you had no way of knowing this. Your service was very good. But,….recently the spring broke in my garage door and my car was in side the garage. It could not have been a worst time.. I'm had doctor appointment I had to,get to.And , my daughter was very ill and I had to go,to her house and take care of her.I called a local person that we used before and he come out that day and fixed it.$375.00.when I called your office, they so they do not reimburse for a situation like that. Very very disappointed. Very very ,,,

It wasn't real easy to make the claim s. I'm technologically challenged. I can do it now but the first time was not fun. It is easier to go online than connect with an agent. I'm not having much luck with my claims. The first claim was my microwave. A technician came twice but is still not working. It worked for about a day. The servings claim was my lg refrigerator. It needed some parts for the lower drawers. They hit reach other and don't close without force. The Trevor's cane and replaced the parts but it still hits. The boys for the technician was extremely rude and obnoxious and would not listen to me at all. The tech was great! He came back to fix it but had to go back and look at a schematic too determine if a part was missing. He was really professional. At this time my microwave is not heating and the drawers on the fridge are still hitting

My last experience with CHW was very good. We had a problem with our dishwasher. The tech was on time, knowledgeable and made the repair. We did have a questionable experience with another Warranty call. We gave up on the situation eventually and made us weary of what to expect. However this one was a 5 Star!!!!!

The first warranty claim took 6 weeks to complete for a door bell chime. The last two were much better in getting the repairs completed. The other issue I have is that when it comes to replacement you only paid me for what The first call took for a door bell chime repair took over 6 weeks and I had to spend over 12 hours on the phone with you until the repair was completed. The last two repairs were much better to complete the repairs. The other issue I have is that when it comes to replacement you only paid me for what my dishwasher was worth and not the cost of a new replacement. I was told during my first contact with you that if an item couldn't be fixed you would replace that item with a new appliance at no additional cost. I was told you would replace the dishwasher or any other appliance no matter what the age ould not have purchased the warranty if I didn't think it had value. age if you couldn't be repaired

I’ve tried 2 other warranty companies where I was with one for over 15 years and the second for 2 years. I changed companies because their technicians were not always experienced. On several occasions they had to send other technicians to correct problems created by the first technician. I found Choice to have excellent quality checks on their selection of technicians.

My oven stopped working and my eyes on my stove top was arking and making noiand wasn't getting contaminated nope getting hot, I asked Stormy if they could replace the oven and stove and she said they couldn't, she fixed the stove but after 3 or 4 days after the parts came in and she came back and fixed it it all working but like 3 or 4 days later my big right front eye stopped working and still making arking and sparking noise and want come on, so what happens when my stove or eyes sparks and catches on fire when I. Not jer and burns my house down, cause to get the to come out and check on it again I will have to pay 85.00 again

Our issues have involved our HVAC system losing refrigerant. The previous contractors couldn't locate the problem. The contractor who visited in May found that a worn gauge was the reason we were losing our refrigerant. We have been waiting almost four weeks for the replacement gage. My husband called Choice to report our frustration, which resulted in the contractor calling to tell us that he had been busy, and the part was due to arrive on June 4th, so he would make sure that one was set aside for us; it's a week later and he hasn't called back.

I explained to the cust. service rep. I worked 4 hours in the morning. She stated she put the information into the system and and I would receive an afternoon appt. The morning of my appt. I was called 5 minutes after 8 am that the tech would be at my home between 9 am to 11 am. I had to immediately drive back home. This caused me to miss important meetings with my college students. When the tech arrived, he sat in my driveway for over 30 minutes while on his phone. I went out to get his attention 3 times, only to be ignored. Upon changing the motor, the tech informed me the supplier failed to give him the screws to connect the new motor and he would have to come back the next day. I asked if he could not get screws from the Home Depot a mile away and he said no. I went with NO ac for at least a week. I missed work numerous days and was hospitalised due to the heat.

It's complicated, I thought that when service was provided and the product was approved, I thought that I did not have to worry about replacing it myself. Yes, my system was approved but for the amount of the approval was not enough to cover my replacement. So because you do not want mismatch appliances in your home, I ended up having to pay out of pocket cash as well. I think that you need to explain to senior citizens what the Replacement Process means in more details. Because the e-gift card is less than what the merchant is selling for your replacement and you have end up paying the difference

We had an original problem that was solved by calling another HVAC contractor. This contractor traveled to and from our home that is close to 300 miles from us. We were his only call here. He was very personable and capable. He filled the freon in our AC unit and that solved the problem. He said to give him a call if we had any other problems with the unit within 30 days.

I've only had to use my Choice Home Warranty twice so far. They took my call, had someone contact me very quickly, and set up appointments to have my problems solved. It worked out that both problems got taken care of on the same day. The workers were on time, courteous, and did a great job. The resolution representative was very patient, helpful and understanding. If it was not for her I would have closed my two accounts with Choice Home Warranty. The claims department never tried to make any concessions for the problem even though I believe the technician did not initially make a correct statement as to the issues at hand. Even after the video presented which did not reflect a torn anything on the refrigerator (it was usual wear and tear for being 7 years old. There are circumstances where they be abuse but I provide exception properties with high end appliances. I still feel CHW should have paid for the part.

I have had Choice for over 6 years at both where I live now and my former residence. There have been no issues except the first time I placed a claim at my second residence. It was finally resolved, but I had to do extensive work to get satisfaction - it was escalated to the person who handles the BBB complaints. Also, there was a bit of confusion on my recent claim and the scheduled appointment. It all worked out, but the Choice rep did not seem very clear on the situation which was frustrating....I had better communication with the company that came to do the work. Their prices are going up, and since I have not used it that much, I don't know if I will renew or not. The price is a little steep, so I will also check in to other options. All in all, they are a decent company.

I am so grateful to have purchased this product through Choice Home Warranty. They covered 100% of the damage part and negotiated the other part on my behalf. My A/C until was 20 years old and the handler needed full replacement . The handler’s parts and labor were fully covered. Now the compressor, though that was still operational and did not need to be replaced had to be replaced in order for Choice Home Warranty to cover the handler. I know this may not make sense to many, but it does to me. They negotiated the price of a new compressor and the labor to install as well. All in all, a 5 ton A/C Carrier Unit set us back $3,500. In my opinion, this was a great purchase. Thank you Truist A/C and Choice Home Warranty.

My water heater was going out. Scheduled an appointment & the plumbing company saw the tag on the existing water heater and said "this is not an 80 gallon heater - tag is wrong". Plumbing company requested approval for replacement. Choice refused. I filed an appeal. Once on the phone I was told "it didn't matter that the tag was wrong, it didn't matter that the plumbing company said the water heater was only a 50 gallon tank - there was not a way to appeal this - The ONLY way is if I can get the manufacturer to give me the paperwork to say the tag was incorrect". While my water heater was leaking into my garage. So I paid my regular plumber the $1400.00 to replace my 50 gallon water heater. Here's the kicker - I am a REALTOR - I KNOW that there was a way that someone could have verified that the existing water heater was a 50 gallon tank. You did not offer that option - at all. CONGRATULATIONS I will NEVER offer Choice as a home warranty option to my Clients ever again.

The past 2 claims I have submitted it was 5+ days before the technician came to fix the problem. This last claim for my dishwasher that was leaking the technician wouldn’t even fix it because it was a leaking valve and he claimed it was an installation error and not covered under warranty so that was a waste of $75. At this point I will be canceling my contract and requesting a prorated refund on my contract. Choice Home Warranty is not as good as they once were several years ago. I am not a satisfied customer and will not be recommending them. I don’t know why it says “Amazing” at the bottom I don’t think their service is “Amazing “!

It takes too long for them to get a technician. I've been without my AC ever since May 16, 2025, and the technician hasn't come to repair it yet. I had to pay $100.00 for an ARS technician to come out for a service check, because Choice Home Warranty couldn't find a technician. When they finally got a technician, he just came out for a service call. He came back out several days later, but only to do a test on the unit, which only took 5 minutes, then he left. Later on in the week, I messaged him and he called me several hours later and said that he would be out to repair it this week; week of June 2, 2025, but I haven't heard anything from him yet. I live in a mobile home and without the AC unit working, it's been very miserable!!! This is the 3rd time within a year that I've had these issues with the AC, but Choice Home Warranty always send out a technician who only "bandages" the system, but never totally repairs the problem. Then, to top it off, I still have to pay money. I'm seriously thinking about looking for another home warranty company, because this here is for the birds!!!

Choice Warranty was quick to respond to my refrigerator not making ice. They got back with the name of the vendor to service my claim. The vendor was pleasant and courteous on the initial visit even tho there was no call when they didn’t show up the day schedule due to over scheduling. I didn’t hear from the vendor again until 2 weeks later. During that visit the vendor was rude and in professional. I reported to Choice and they contacted the vendor while I was on the phone. I expect the part to come in and be installed by the vendor.

A home warranty is more than worth it in the long-run, but the way that CHW is sold, pushing the "locking-in" of a 5-year term can limit options for a better quality warranty from a competitor. Also, there is no real documentation provided that describes the diagnosis/remedy for each repair. No documentation of what is actually repaired is provided either. Exclusions are also suspect because if there is damage to a particular system that requires access through a wall or something, the warranty does not cover fixing the access point or damage from the system caused to the access area. Warranties should cover everything to make the system AND the area damaged by the system whole again. Additionally, in certain cases, the warranty covers fixing the access point, but doesn't cover fixing it completely. (i.e. the warranty covers fixing the drywall, but the "fixing" of the drywall does not cover re-painting it or finishing it back to its original state before the damage). The good parts about the warranty, is that repairs can quickly add up and be expensive to manage without a warranty. I've had my hot water heater break and it was fixed for nothing more than the $75 service fee. Same thing for my A/C (although it has had to be fixed numerous times for similar issues and probably would have been less expensive to just replace it). Contractors are hit or miss; sometimes you get one that is really competent and other times you get some that misdiagnose the repair or don't do the repair correctly resulting in a recall.
