Overall, I'd recommend Choice Home Warranty. They've never denied any of our claims. We've had electrical, plumbing, A/C, and refrigerator claims since we purchased our home 4 years ago. Sometimes it's hit and miss with the companies they use to service the claims. Both of our air conditioning units have gone out multiple times. Although it took months of band-aid fixes, the units were eventually replaced (a few years apart). That alone is worth having the warranty!

All but one of the issues we've had have been taken care of in a timely manner by very professional and knowledgable technicians. When we had a plumbing issue, Choice Home Warranty was very prompt with communication but was unable in the end to get a plumber to come out and in turn told us to go ahead and get our own. I recommend Choice Home Warranty to any homeowner.

So, we chose Choice Home Warranty because of what I've read online about the services you provide. But after paying our monthly fees over a period of time and having an issue with our Hot Water Heater we submitted a claim. Upon doing so I was contacted by a service technician who came during a storm and pretty late at night. He was removed from the service for an unknown reason. I was then told that CHW has the option to send out another technician for a second opinion. Makes me feel like CHW does not trust their technicians on their call list. Makes me worry if we made the right choice in our home warranty company. The work was completed, the technician did an outstanding job. I was given the option to pay out of pocket first, so I did, and now I'm waiting for my refund. This process was a lot more complicated than I expected. And I'm barely getting paid back what I paid out of pocket. So, I'm second guessing whether or not this is even worth it.

Claim One went just fine but it took two service calls and I had to pay trip call twice. The microwave is now replaced Claim Two was totally unsatisfactory. The garbage disposal didn’t work - I pushed the button at the bottom several times - it wouldn’t start and the sink was backing up. CHW referred the claim to a service company that changed the service appointment window three times - sometimes at the last minute. This was so UNSATISFACTORY that I finally paid to have someone install a new garbage disposal. This incident has made me question as to whether I’ll renew. On top of all the above, CHW hasn’t sent the check for microwave replacement on Claim One

I called choice warranty for three different things on Thursday. My washing machine kept coding power failure, my ice maker on my refrigerator stopped putting out big ice and only shaved , and a dishwasher wasn’t heating up properly. The technician arrived on Friday. It was a little difficult setting up the appointment because of scheduling differences, but we got it pretty quickly. They accommodated me and I was very grateful for that. The technician was nice and patient. He fixed my ice maker right then and diagnosed my washing machine. The parts are already ordered for it. Come to find out my dishwasher is heating properly. If you have plastic dishes for your children sometimes they don’t dry like regular dishes 🤣. I’m very happy with the rapid response and professional service.

I'm very pleased with Choice Home Warranty. My refrigerator recently quit suddenly. I put in the claim and they had a repairman out within a couple of days (a miracle where I live), he identified the problem very quickly, ordered the parts and was able to have me up and operational again with a week. If that sounds like a long time, my previous home warranty wouldn't even have had a technician out within that time frame.

Both times the individual service providers they aligned me with were professional, courteous and helpful in providing any information I might need. It took a couple of days longer than if I had call some major company on my own but I actually got better more satisfactory service and would request that same providers should I need help again with a similar problem.

The price is amazing for all that it covers and the claim process couldn’t be any easier. I would HIGHLY recommend Choice Home Warranty for anyone who has any type of appliances/hot water heaters/gas fireplaces/HVAC/sump pump or almost anything else you can think of and are responsible for its repair. A flat fee for a service call with a repair or replace policy. If you file a claim, they send out a tech to repair or replace the product, but if it requires multiple visits, it is all covered under the flat fee you had already paid. I bought another house and the first thing I did was get a policy for the new house, but I did much of anything else. I wouldn’t own or rent without coverage from Choice Home Warranty!!!

Choice Home Warranty has been a very pleasant experience. Im surprised at how efficient, polite, precise and actually I've gotta say "excellent" they are. Every step was handled with ease. Initial call, next step; contacted within 24 hrs by repair company, appt. made. They showed up on time, called first . Inspected washer, ordered part. 3 days later, called, made appt to install part. Did it. Washer works! Exactly how it should be. I've had 3 different HW companies since buying this home. First Amer. expensive, cost kept going up, didn't even have a claim. 2nd Select, horrible. 3rd Sears, really bad. Choice will be my HW company forever. They make me believe that a company can still be excellent at what they do! No BS.

The only thing we’re having difficulty with is getting returned calls when we have an issue! The installation of our new HVAC SYSTEM WAS PERFECT AND CLEAN!! The only problem was we did not get the ac system we were told we were going to get? We asked the installation company to tell CHW WHY, with no avail!! We expected a higher seer rating but that did not happen!! But all in all we are very happy with the new ac!!! They acted fast and we did not have to suffer long at all without ac!! I would definitely recommend CHW BECAUSE OF THE RISING COSTS FOT A NEW AC SYSTEM IS CRAZY AND GETTING WORSE EVERY YEAR ! So we are extremely satisfied with the job that Snowflake ac and Choice Home Warranty did!!!!

Deal sounded good and turned out not to be true. What's the point of a home warranty if you still have to come out your pocket. I had to pay over $1,000 to replace a hot water heater, their vendor's cost was $2,200+, SMH. My vendor's cost was $1,800 but they would only cover $500.

My refrigerator stopped working on October second 2025. On October 13 Tech showed up found bad circuit board ordered circuit board said it would be sent directly to me. Called the Tech. On October 30 31 said he had the circuit board asked for my mailing address. Sent a text with my mailing address no response. called numerous times not answering. last call November 14. Left message still no response and still no circuit board not a happy camper.😡😡

They are suitable for routine tasks, such as a plumbing leak. However, for expensive items like A/C work, they will avoid addressing the real issue of replacing the coils (which have a known leak) by simply recharging the freon and hoping the problem goes away. This has happened to us now four times (for $75 per visit).

They are terrible.! They deny claims for no reason. I had a refrigerator go out and they took over 2 months just to get someone out to look at it. They are a terrible company to work with. Items are covered but they charge you to replace them and say it is because they have to update the system to replace the compressor. They said they had to change the wiring to the compressor. I watched the repairman change one for the other and there was no change of wiring.

We paid a deductible to the plumber to come out and fix NOTHING because in order for him to access the components they would have had to remove tile. They told me this is not covered under warranty and that none of the items he needed to do to fix the tub were covered under warranty. So all we did was pay the deductible, turn off the circuit breaker and we have a permanently broken tub now. Warranty is WORTHLESS!

My contract with Choice Home Warranty covered plumbing, however, when I submitted my claim for the bathroom and kitchen water faucets which were both twenty-one years old and falling apart and not functioning I was told that my claim was refused because the photos submitted with the claim indicated the. faucets appeared to be "broken" and not damaged by normal wear and tear. I paid my premiums as a greed, however, CHW did not pay the claim as they agreed to do.

They have a hard time finding reputable contractors to work for them. It took from 12/24 to 10/25 before they could send a person who knew what they were doing to repair my HVAC. He was knowledgeable and professional unlike the first person they sent. Then choice ask me to pay $780.00 to the repairman for additional parts to replace the compressor. We decided to get our own repairman and let them pay what the compressor cost back to us when we had a new unit installed. I would not recommend Choice home warranty.
