I have had choice home warranty for over 10 years. While as of late, they have approved a couple of claims, prior to that I was denied on what I considered legitimate claims. I had to speak to an executive with a decision to discontinue my coverage before they became more accommodating to my claims. I gave not made many claims over the years. However, when I file, I expect to be accommodated.

When we originally signed up with you we thought it was a good idea as we had some appliances theat were starting to age. Whenour ice maker quit working we had great service. Then our dish washer was having issues and we were told it could not be fixed due to its age and you sent us a check for 400.00 to purchase a new one. Then our washer started having issues and we were told it could not be fixed because of age and thats when we started having problems with you. First you said we would get a gifty card from Lowes and that never happened, then you said you would send us a check and that has not happened so now we are thinking of going else where. Please respond!!

A friend had recommended using them, after the Home Warranty company we were using hiked up their pricing plan significantly. We are currently discontent with the service we have received. Long delays in getting a repair done or deeming it unrepairable. Problems getting technicians out here to look at the broken items. The money received by this warranty company to replace the unrepairable appliance will not cover replacing the item, just a percentage of its cost.

Had to wait over 2 months in the dead of winter with no heat in sub freezing weather to wait for them to send several different service people who couldn’t fix my tankless hot water heating unit. I found my own plumber to work on it and after 3 weeks of trying to get my plumber to deal with Choice to help them with upload there photos and diagnosis, choice declined to pay claiming it wasn’t regular wear and tear of the system. Practically 3 months without heat only to be declined the claim while we sat in one room with a space heater and still and to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. (Which could have been done the week it broke!)

I signed up with Choice Home Warranty due to advertisement that appealed to me by featuring it as convenient, professional & comprehensive service covering all appliances . I had one claim earlier on to repair a dryer that went quite well. However, I may not continue after a recent experience: I put a claim in on 3/14/26 for a refrigerator repair (leaking fluid from underneath). They took my service fee of $100 and scheduled technician appt (w/Home Technology Solutions) for 3/16/26 between 11 am - 3pm. I took off work to be home for the appt. only to be called at 11:38 am ( 3/16/26) by HTS to collect information and be advised no service technician would be coming out today and it could be up to 24-48 hours for a technician appt to be scheduled. A new appt has been rescheduled for 3/23/26. That's a 9 day wait time with fluid continuing to leak out from underneath the refrigerator. Despite towels surrounding apliance and fan the leak is now impacting kitchen flooring (seeping underneath vinyl flooring). I'm not at all pleased with this extended wait time and will likely incurr additional expense to repair some flooring. MaryJo S.

I searched around for a while and settled with choice home warranty and so far I have been very happy. Easy to submit a claim and easy to deal with the process. The only thing I wish they did, was to allow check ups on appliances… You can only call them when something breaks. You cannot call to have your refrigerator or any of your appliances a wellness check… They don’t do that that’s my only problem.

Great job by the technicians to actually get the job done and done well! However, the initial appointment day and time changed a couple times from the initial appointment to the actual one. Hence the reason for 4 stars. Had I not been working from home, it could have been an issue. Only mentioning this because this is not the first time it has happened. Just a bit of tidying up with appointment, scheduling and communication to the technicians would help to make Choice Home Warranty exemplary.

I am glad I switched to Choice. I haven't had many claims, but the few I did have, the process was easy. Just file the claim, pick the date and time frame for the service company to arrive. Everything is listed in an email, with the service company's name and number.

I am extremely disappointed that choice warranty did not pay the full contract price for my plumbing. They said Choice do not pay for rerouting and I had a hot water leak in my bathroom floor. They would only pay $500 per the contract for someone to bust up my floor but I was responsible to repair it back. They would pay for a plumber to repair the leak. It took them weeks and couldn’t find anyone. They gave me the option to find someone but Choice still had to approve the work order, so I told them to find the plumber themselves. After weeks they could only find a plumber to reroute. Choice only paid $500. I feel Choice should have paid my full contract price because the plumber they chose was doing the round they approved.

I thought when I started that they would take care of things. One of the springs on my garage door was broken in two places. The other spring was not broken but it had been through the same things that the other side had been through. The Likly hood is that it will break is very high. I was told that they only fix broken things. The second spring is working on borrowed time. I was real disappointed when I was told that they would not replace it. When it breaks there is another $85 for us to pay out. The company that came was excellent to work with.

It's for this claim a vendor did pick up fairly quickly. However the copay that choice told me I had to pay did not match the amount that the vendor said it was going to cost. There was a difference of $300 and Choice could not tell me where they came up with their copay. But they told me I had to pay it. When I talked vendor he said they never gave that number so choice was requiring me to pay more than the vendor wanted. The vendor said agreed to a lower price because that's all he needed. So if I would have paid the amount Joyce said I had to without questioning I would have overpaid by $300. And Choice did not offer a reason to why there was a difference

I chose Choice Home Warranty because it was listed as the best home warranty company. I already had a home warranty with a different company, and it was time to renew, the cost had gone up, and Choice was less expensive for the same coverage, so I switched. When I had to make a claim, I was pleased with how quickly they responded, but things went down from there. My contractor was finally assigned - it took 2 days - but he was unable to do the needed repair because his tools were being repaired, so it would be at least a week before he could get here, and I had raw sewerage leaking into my basement at the time. I contacted Choice and was told I could get my own contractor and have him make the repair, but I would have to have choice approve it before any work could be done. This did not make me a happy customer, and I almost demanded my money returned so I could contract with a different company. I cooled down, jumped through the required hoops for Choice, got the repair done and last week received my refund check for paying the contractor. I am a bit disappointed that there was no one available to do the work in my area, which is what I was assured by the salesperson I talked to when I joined. I will see how much difficulty I encounter the next time I have a claim.

I was very pleased until I had a problem with my AC and the service man ,told me to send a video of what was happening to it , then he call me back and said that they had told him that it was nothing that had to do with CHOICE ,so it was nothing he coul do ,and he never came to look at it physically , I called a friend ,who gave a phone number of a friend of him , and he man came back, and fix it with a small part , he charged me $300 ,and it's been working for month ,four other times i call for my stove, (twice) and then 2. different times for my cloth washer and they were taking care very soon by some very profesional and nice workers

Furnace went out, our service that tuned up the a/c and furnace quoted nearly a $900 fix, we called Choice and within 10 minutes we had a referral for a company to fix the furnace. The company Choice sent arrived on time, and replaced a $10 part and the furnace fired right up and has been working correctly since! We only had to pay the $ 75 service fee. We will be using that company for our semi annual check ups from now on.

I've had a yearly Choice Home Warranty since 2021 but had never placed a claim. Then in Nov'25, I upgraded to a 3 1/2 yr coverage plan, which was more advantageous for me. Shortly after, I finally needed to file a claim for plumbing problems. Because of different issues, it took about 1 1/2 months to get everything resolved, including following up to get reimbursed for replacement of my bathroom faucet. Sent receipt for item and check, including tax, being sent which should be received within 30 days. Hopefully, I won't experience any other problems requiring another claim to be placed soon!

We had plumbing/water issues in the shower. Before I called Choice Hoke Warranty (CHW), I called in a few other plumbers. I was hoping to save the $75 fee initially. They either didn't know how to fix this problem or were scamming me for massive payments that I felt were not nearly warranted. When I called CHW, they immediately dispatched the plumber from one the local vendors. What surprised me most was the fact that he immediately came in with all his equipment and diagnostics/cameras and immediately stared to diagnose the problem. The previous plumbers came in to look and assess, but didn't even bother to bring in their tools first. They were almost looking to first diagnose whether I would be willing to Pay their exorbitant rates. This vendor however (from Innovative Plumbing Everyday LLC) was amazing! Instead of trying to play me (scam me) like a fiddle - he immediately went to work and diagnose. Within an hour the entire job was done! No haggling, No negotiating, No BS. Furthermore, the technician's name was Ivan/Vanya. He was exceptionally professional and extremely capable. If I ever need to have a plumber on site again - I will beg CHW to only send me Ivan. I could not be happier with his work ethics and his ability to resolve the problem effectively - without any BS. Excellent choice of an amazing Vendor; contracted via CHW!!!

What I like about choice home warranty was the quick service that I got on the phone but in reality the service that I got from the technician was very lacking. The gentleman never showed up when he was supposed to and then he was late when he finally did show up and it's been a few months now and I still don't have the electric hook up to my stove or my kitchen or whatever else needs fixed. He was supposed to be here on December 30th and he said he called me but there's no record of him calling me so I have no idea what's up but I do like choice home warranty because they live up to their promises and I am very thankful that I got them I also do hope to see my technician very soon like he said he would be here.

I wasn't thinking straight about your rules when your service rep said he (I thinking you) wanted pay up front so I told him I'd give him half and only when the job was complete like the next day the other half. I should have told him to get it from you but I was only think about heat for my pet. I am only hoping you can see it in your heart to reimburse me if not the other, actually less than half $5004.00, then at least something to make me feel like a saved some money having Choice Policy. I notice Sam seems to be avoiding me since I paid him $200.00 extra dollars for a new humidifier. I sent Elizabeth Mollina a glowing review via email as your standard reporting method became too cumbersome getting involved with Google and passwords, 6 and even 4 didgit verifying codes before it would let my report using your system go to you. After spending over and hour trying to make it work I gave up and called Elizabeth to see if I could use email.

It took two weeks to get someone out to check our microwave. We use it every day to eat. Once it was diagnosed, Choice decided to replace the microwave and only give about half price for us to go to Lowe's and purchase a new microwave. We still have not got the Lowe's prepaid card and no offer to install the new one. Why pay all this money to get treated this way. Not a good experience.

Sucks. They don’t want to cover anything, unpaid extra for my septic system, and pumping, I had to fight with them and file an appeal to get them to pay for pumping which was supposed be covered. It’s says it covers pumping g specifically. Then when the leach line clogged they would not cover that saying it was not part of the septic . If the leach line don’t work the entire system don’t work so save your monthly payment and when you have a problem get it fixed your self
