It was supposed to be #1 when I chose it. But they are terrible about getting you help when they don’t have a vendor at hand. Takes forever for the reimbursement program. They can’t find a vendor, and I do, they should take care of it, not drag me thru an approval before giving me the ok to have repair made. A/C quits, it needs fixed NOW, not after weeks of red tape while I suffer with NO A/C!

I put in a request to have my refrigerator fixed and 5 weeks later, I had to call LG to get it fixed. The original complaint was the ice machine and I still don’t have the new part. The second complaint was the compressor and Choice denied that. I called LG, it was still under warranty and in 2 days, 2 day, 2 days, the refrigerator is fixed. Still haven’t received the new ice maker from 5 weeks ago.

I’ve been very disappointed in their service being expedited at a timely fashion. They sent out a contractor to fix my Appliance. That contractor decline to provide services. Then the company sent out another contractor who seen even more on interested in investigating my Appliance. Then they said that they would order parts And that was over a week ago and I still haven’t heard back from the second contractor. I am considering withdrawing my service with Choice because this has been going on over three weeks now. I wish they knew competent repair technicians that speak clear English.

Choice is not locked into the service company system they assign when u file a claim. I had to call the service co. assigned to set up an appointment as what Choice gave me was wrong. One company never showed up after I made an appointment so I had Choice give me another one which delayed getting my problem water heater started again over a week. I also don't think Choice give you a fair buy out on an appliance. I will look for another warranty company when my 3 years are up.

I had an a/c issue and notified Choice. The service man came out and fixed the problem. He unclogged a drain line and charged $1700 to remove mold that he said wasn’t covered. Three months later I had the same clogged line. The same tech game out. He fixed the problem and indicated that, if it happens again, I should consider replacing the line. (About $300). Three weeks later I had the same clogged line. This time I called my a/c man. He unclogged the line and gave me a one year guarantee and volunteered to check it in six months. All for $200. I would prefer to call myown tech and have Choice cover any major repair.

Had many fears (most notably my hvac) when buying my first home. Realtor recommended a home warranty. Chose Choice at random and am happy I did. They have been phenomenal. I’m going on 4 years and will have 2 left on my warranty. After the 6 years are up, I will most likely get another 6 year deal. Worth every penny

A skilled plumber came to my house to fix a clogged kitchen drain. He was very knowledgeable about the issues. Replace a few parts, unclogged the drain and was done in less than 30 minutes. Also, the service call was done within 4 hours of when reported the problem.

My husband had a stroke and he always would fix or know what was wrong with stuff. Since he can’t do anything anymore I thought this was an answer to some of my worries. Sure enough my oven quit working! The appliance repair guys were super nice and fixed it quickly!

It's not the contractor per se; its more so of the process to get a repair completed (shouldn't take several weeks for a simple repair due to the requirement for multiple requests and multiple charges). I do not like the fact that when there is an issue, it takes multiple contractors to resolve. Why not assign to a contractor and have them complete the job from start to finish and include it as one. For example, contractor took a look at what the issue was ($75); input the request for service (assigned to a NEW contractor) who kept putting me off for several weeks and felt that coming at 8PM was okay with me with young children in the home. I called you all to say that it was unacceptable and to please assign to original contractor, who was able to take care of within a few days (another $75). Why does it take two different contractors to do something that could have been taken care of within days of the initial call? Alot of time was wasted and my tenant still has a hole in their ceiling from the water damage. I chose to not input another request in for the repair, in order to avoid the $75 deductible when it is related to the original issue.

My refrigerator was not repairable so Choice will send an e-gift certificate for replacement of fridge. Service was fast/very pleased with that. Choice told me the e-gift would take up to THIRTY days to receive. It’s been almost two weeks so I have to be without a fridge for two more weeks. I called the company at least twice and was told they cannot expedite claim.

They did fine for appliances: dryer I still had to pay $600 for water heater, but it could have been double. But when my a/c unit went out,CHOICE Home Warranty chose picked the repair company who came to look & turned in a report that stated my unit looked vandalized or tampered with (suspecting me) so they would not cover replacement of my entire A/C unit, leaving me in the heat. They said there’s nothing they will do, period. I was so desperate & upset, that I used Thumbtack to get a second opinion which was also trying to get me to finance through them for $12,000 plus $3k cash, for a whole new unit. Which I couldn’t get approved for. Now it’s been an entire week and out of the blue a man calls from yet another 3rd company left over from my initial contact to Thumbtack. I told him it’s trashed & I can’t afford a new unit. He asked me if he could just come see for himself, no charge. Of course I said yes. He came and fixed everything for $980. Good as new. I was being scammed by not 1 but 2 companies. When i called Choice to see if they would reimburse me for the repairs due to the damage. They would not allow me to turn in the report from the company who was successful in fixing it. I want to change companies now.

Technician was great but because I could only guess water heater (due to wet area) but it turned out to be a STOPPAGE I was charged 2 service fees ($150) and NO free fee as promised. There is NO WAY I could have known the actual diagnosis at the time of complaint! *When previously tried to leave good report on tech the site would not accept the submission.

The policies and procedures currently in place are not feasible for your customers. A customer should have to wait at least 7 to 10 business days for a refund or replacement of any product from your company. Such practices will likely lead to the closure of your business.

Pretty simple solutions seem like a huge job, such as finding out why my washer overflows! Probably just needs to be rotored! But I am hanging with them because they are trying. My refrigerator went out. They said its more cost efficient to replace it. Then i was told im only getting $567 to buy a refrigerator and its a lowes card so i cant shop were i want to. Then they said it will be 30 days until i even get the gift card. Its the holidays and i dont have a working refrigerator. Great.

Choice needs to work on approving claims with contractors, if contractors cannot contact anyone then tge claim cannot move forward. Also, tge customer must take another day off once approved work has been granted. To big of hassle for contractors to take a work order.

I thought they were a good company. But I am finding out that every time I call in a repair, it is never covered. My last call, I paid my copay and they declined the repair and never gave me the option to get it fixed. I had to call another company, and paid $125. If my copay would have been counted, I would only have paid an additional $60. I still for the life for me can’t understand why it wasn’t covered. The pump on my A/C wasn’t covered either along with a couple other repairs I have had to pay out of pocket. I suggest you keep your money and put it in savings, instead of using CHOICE!!!

I didn’t choose Choice. It was included in my closing. Regional guy (Dave in St Louis) was extremely helpful. Home office assistance was from people that could only speak broken English. They hooked me up with a guy named Ken to see what the problem was with my water softener. He did come out and determined it was shot and needed replacing. I paid him the mandatory $75 service fee. Company arranged for him to come back and replace the filter. He never showed up. D I texted him and he responded he got tied up and would call me. Next day came and went, no call. So I called and texted him and he ignored my attempts to reach out. The company did say that they would send me $500 and I could make my own arrangements, which I did. Still waiting on the check. We’ll see if I get it.

I would give you five stars if the plumbing company you guys used was decent. Plumbers electricians and beyond came to my home and did an awful job. Left an open wall with a leaking pipe. I had to hire someone on my own to come correct what these plumbers did. you should really consider changing your contract with the plumbing company you have now. Prompt to accept claims and receive initial fee. Relatively quick to setup appointments. On the first claim, the assigned company changed suddenly. The technician was great even when the wrong appliance was ordered. On the second claim, the technician seemed a bit lost at what to do and didn't troubleshoot the whole problem. CHW offered a RIDICULOUS amount to replace part of the appliance with one specific vendor that doesn't carry it at all. Moreover, I don't even know who to redeem their ridiculous credit with that vendor. Unable to communicate to decision-making personnel. Customer service limited to few options and hardly helpful. Regret buying a 3-year plan!

Never buy Choice Home Warranty and Never use All City Appliance, Or Larry Nichols. It is a nightmare that doesn't end. I reported 2 claims Oct the 16th, One being simple that it only requires an ignitor for my counter top gas stove. They said they were sending a check for 433.00 to replace my stove. Still 34 days latter havent seen a dime. The second claim is for my washing machine. Same technician for both claims. Choice authorized The technician to repair my machine. 34 days latter we still have not spoke a word to this technician except through text. Only hearinf from him week before last saying, he has our parts. However he was going to Kansas, I contacted Choice home warranty about my claim. The tried twice to call him and also, text him. Tech said he would be here Tuesday November the 4th. No show, no call, no tech. I text him on Friday Nov 7th, asking if he was coming? He said I am on the schedule for Thursday Nov the13th between 11Am and 3Pm. He didn't even have the decency to call, text or send up a smoke signal. I left him a MESSAGE THAT i AM REPORTING HIM TO BETTER BUSINESS. Monday morning Nov 17th I spoke again with Choice Home warranty asking they send another technician. I told them that I need my machine fixed. They told me all they could do is reach out to the technician and would contact me within 24 hours. Here we go again.
