They gave me a good deal for multiple years but they don’t provide very clear information on what is and isn’t covered, so we thought garage door springs were covered based on what they did have in written in their covered list, but they said it wasn’t. Being vague about coverage isn’t ok with customers.

I have one outstanding claim that remains to be completed. It should have been completed yet getting the contractor to return was a bit difficult. I did call choice and they are having him return but it is not done yet. We had another claim and it was denied. I appealed it and the person who handled that was very dismissive.

I had our A/C unit replaced in 2020-21 time frame and every year after that we filed a claim due to the unit freezing. Choice took care of it each time. this year in July and now in October they say it's under manufacture warranty, when informed it was a leak in the coil now the refused my claim for repair, a twelve hundred dollar bill which I paid

As a VIP Service customer, you guys hire, Anytime Home Warranty, a sub par company that took a shortcut and didn't completely remove the old and replace with a new garbage disposal. They attached a new MOEN garbage disposal onto a ten year-old Insinkerator Sink Flange. I paid $75 for the service fee. Now your Case Manager DAN L. said it is working fine and if you want the sink flange put in another $250 will be charged. Anytime Home Service drove off with the MOEN sink flange and they are calling me a nut case that everything is working just fine. BUT, I CAN SEE THE INSINKERATOR sink flange STARING ME IN THE FACE. Is CHOICE my advocate? It seems that Anytime has convinced you that the sub par work is just dandy!

Every claim has been a total hassle and restrictions and strange inclusions and exclusions. Also, unrealistic replacement costs when a repair could not be made. It is by far the worst home warranty experience I have ever had. We ended up having three major claims performed by others due to the difficulty in dealing with Choice Home Warranty. The coverage is less than worthless. Four visits to tell us our share of the air conditioning repair, got an estimate from a dealer and we were able to get the repair done for half the price you wanted from us. You were not able to do anything but confirm that we had a leak, no detection, no repair, no referral only a lengthy confusing call about all that you do not cover. Was not able to repair a cooktop, so we called out appliance repairman and he repaired it. Overall totally worthless.

The company that you choose to do the work does not get back with the client and it’s horrible. It should not take 3 to 4 weeks to get the appliance fixed. I’m very dissatisfied. I called in about my air conditioner. Nobody has got back in touch with me regarding the port or when it’s gonna be fixed.

Horrible Customer Service. I just checked my credit card statement on saw charges for a renewal which I cancelled months ago. I accepted a settlement for a claim where i was to received a $406 gift card to Lowes and after three weeks had to call to find out the status and was told that a link would be sent out to me the next day. I have 3 claims denied because of exclusions that were never offered when I ordered the policy. The Claim Agents are extremely aggressive and read from a script offering standard answers per company policy. The salespeople will say ant thing do get you to commit to the policy, but when I filed claims, they seemed to invent exclusions that are hidden in theyre fine print policues.

UP TO NOW SERVICE AND REPAIR HAVE BEEN GREAT. WITH THAT SAID: I HAVE A DISHWASHER THAT THE REPAIR PART IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE, SO REPLACEMENT WAS ISSUED IN THE FORM OF A GIFT CARD IN THE AMOUNT THAT WOULD COVER DELIVERY, INSTALL, REMOVEL OF UNIT, A BUCKET, SCRUB PAD,DISH SOAP. WON'T COVER EVEN 1/2 THE COST OF A REPLACEMENT UNIT. "REPAIR OR REPLACE" SHOULD MEAN IF CAN NOT REPAIR, REPLACE THE UNIT(THE EXISTING UNIT IS INSTALLED THUS INORDER TO REPLACE THE UNIT MUST BE REMOVED AND REPLACED INCLUDING INSTALL, DELIVERY AND REMOVAL SHOULD BE SEEN AS PART OF THE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE !!!

I had to call more than once and they had no record of the claim, so I had to submit it twice, but once submitted, the subcontractor contacted me immediately. The technician was limited to what Choice accepted, and so he fixed what they approved. That being said, there is still a leak present, although much less than before.

RUN!!! Avoid at all costs. I would NOT recommend Choice Home Warranty company to my worst enemy. If they have a negative star option, I would rate it -1000. It's all a rip-off! I purchased their $750 plan because of the type of appliances I have. My $2300 three-door refrigerator with an alarm, ice, and water dispenser stopped working, so I called CHW. I waited over 3 weeks for them to tell me the refrigerator can't be repaired, it needs to be replaced instead. So instead of CHOICE HOME WARRANTY replacing my refrigerator with a newer one, they offered me an $800 gift card to Lowe's. Lowe's standard two-door refrigerators start at $900. Choosing Choice Home Warranty is one of the worst mistakes I've made in my entire life.

When our oven burned out and was unrepairable, we were very unhappy with small amount Choice offered toward getting a new one. A more recent repair of our refrigerator/ice maker went better, although the tech did not rectify the fluctuating temps in the freezer and fridge, even though he said he knew the likely cause.

This was the second time within a two month period that we had to have a tech come out on our refrigerator. Basically it was for the same reason. Our compressor is going out however it did not get replaced. He paid $65 each visit. And will probably have the same issue within the next 90 days

The plumber sent, Aaron, was excellent. But choice 1st sched me with a plumber to unstop a bath sink 4-5 days later but this offer was canceled then another was sched 2 days later. Choice needs to add more to their lists.

My A/C did not work most of the summer and in Oklahoma. 3 service calls -; First two didn't know what they were doing. Finally, the third people diagnosed the issue but it still took another week to get the past and fixed. My A/C is an old R22 system that Choice should replace. Instead, I have a gerry rigged fan attached with wire ties to the frame. Than, I had them inspect my heater for fall, $90. They found a compositor that was going bad but I'm told the system has to stop working for a valid claim 😡 Why pay for inspection if choice is not going to fix diagnosed issues. Finally, the have it will 3 technicians and 10wks to sorts sorta finally fix my A/C and I know better - it should not be an issue for customers to choose their service company. That is our right by law. Don't fight customers. Oh, I forgot - more local vendors closer to my area would be really helpful. These vendors are coming almost 100m to service when there are plenty in Stillwater.

They were pretty good on some repairs and a huge nightmare on others. I do NOT care to use them again as they put me through at least 4 horrible experiences including my last teair. They scheduled me 2 weeks out and then did not show. Then the company had no ticket gor the tepair and Choice put me into forever review until they reported the repair as completed when no one ever showed up to do the repair while Im out of the country. I e had to pay a lot of money for a maid service to take my Airbnb laundry to a laundromat because my dryer was never repaired!!!! Who needs this kind of hassle. The year of hell they put me through for my shower controller lost me a months rent $3000 and a lost tenant and a yeat if hell while I was traveling the world. They never fixed it and I had to hire my own olumber to finally replace the faucet that one of their 7 plumbers they sent over 1+ year broke!!!! Who wants this in their life???? Not me!!!!

A white girl it was provided for my electronic fireplace to be repaired. Gentleman who received a request stated that he didn’t work on fireplace. I received no follow back up from choice. I call a few weeks later to figure out what happened and was told that choice don’t service fireplace. That situation could have been handled better.

Overall, I'd recommend Choice Home Warranty. They've never denied any of our claims. We've had electrical, plumbing, A/C, and refrigerator claims since we purchased our home 4 years ago. Sometimes it's hit and miss with the companies they use to service the claims. Both of our air conditioning units have gone out multiple times. Although it took months of band-aid fixes, the units were eventually replaced (a few years apart). That alone is worth having the warranty!

So, we chose Choice Home Warranty because of what I've read online about the services you provide. But after paying our monthly fees over a period of time and having an issue with our Hot Water Heater we submitted a claim. Upon doing so I was contacted by a service technician who came during a storm and pretty late at night. He was removed from the service for an unknown reason. I was then told that CHW has the option to send out another technician for a second opinion. Makes me feel like CHW does not trust their technicians on their call list. Makes me worry if we made the right choice in our home warranty company. The work was completed, the technician did an outstanding job. I was given the option to pay out of pocket first, so I did, and now I'm waiting for my refund. This process was a lot more complicated than I expected. And I'm barely getting paid back what I paid out of pocket. So, I'm second guessing whether or not this is even worth it.

Claim One went just fine but it took two service calls and I had to pay trip call twice. The microwave is now replaced Claim Two was totally unsatisfactory. The garbage disposal didn’t work - I pushed the button at the bottom several times - it wouldn’t start and the sink was backing up. CHW referred the claim to a service company that changed the service appointment window three times - sometimes at the last minute. This was so UNSATISFACTORY that I finally paid to have someone install a new garbage disposal. This incident has made me question as to whether I’ll renew. On top of all the above, CHW hasn’t sent the check for microwave replacement on Claim One

I expected an email confirming my appointment. I waited almost two weeks for a notification, when the gentleman unexpectedly arrived one morning at 9:00 a.m. without notice. Fortunately, we were home. I learned afterward that a message had been sent to my account, saying when he would arrive. Unless a person knows to check there, it's frustrating waiting for some sort of confirmation. An email or text providing the appointment would be appreciated.

The fact that they were quick with getting someone out for the problem. Dislike the fact of the reimbursement amount is way less than what I purchase my product for. And the fact that I have to pay for server to come out and still have to come out of pocket to replace my product. I thank you for requesting my opinion. There was a quick response to my garbage disposal breakdown. It operated quietly and worked well before. Replacement was approved, which I’m grateful for. When I talked with the salesman who explained Choice, he said a breakdown would result in the same or comparable product. The replacement company used a cheaper and loud model. I can live with this one, but I sincerely hope and expect any future replacement will be equal in value and performance. Again, thank you! Sue Haley

Overall, the company has been great to deal with. For some repairs I get approval for parts within Minutes, which is amazing. Other repairs can require up to a week or two, which means some Aplliance or feature in my home is not working while I await approval. It tends to be on the bigger jobs like an air conditioner or refrigerator. That’s why I deducted one star. Compared to my previous Home Warranty company Choice is substantially better comparatively.

I called choice warranty for three different things on Thursday. My washing machine kept coding power failure, my ice maker on my refrigerator stopped putting out big ice and only shaved , and a dishwasher wasn’t heating up properly. The technician arrived on Friday. It was a little difficult setting up the appointment because of scheduling differences, but we got it pretty quickly. They accommodated me and I was very grateful for that. The technician was nice and patient. He fixed my ice maker right then and diagnosed my washing machine. The parts are already ordered for it. Come to find out my dishwasher is heating properly. If you have plastic dishes for your children sometimes they don’t dry like regular dishes 🤣. I’m very happy with the rapid response and professional service.
