After experiencing difficulty with the SOB (Some Other Brand) company, I was done with them! I had been paying for years and when I needed service, They DIDN'T have any service technicians in our area. Our furnace malfunctioned during the winter storm this week during a deep freeze and snow storm. I had to pay an HVAC repairman the full price to fix our furnace. With that being the case I decided to look for another Home Warranty Service. After carefully researching for an alternative I found Choice Home Warranty and researched their history. I received a call back from Jimmy W. He answered every one of my questions without hesitation. He went over ever option with me. He was very clear explaining the service and what was covered and pricing. He was very professional and courteous. He did not try to sell or oversell to me. I appreciated that aspect of our interaction. I am now more confident that this company will honor and provide the services that I may need. No hidden fees or costs. I recommend that anyone looking for a home warranty service to carefully research and evaluate each one to see the differences in policy coverage and cost. I don't think you'll be disappointed when you choose Choice Home Warranty as your home warranty protection plan. Look 'em up! Give 'em a call. I think you'll be please with your choice. My heat pump suddenly stopped working, and I was quickly connected to an HVAC company right after my claim. A tech came next day but it took almost three hours for him to diagnose and find the problem. Two parts were needed, got an approval from CHW. It took almost a week to receive the ordered parts. And the tech came next day and fixed it in less than an hour. Great job!

Had a stove that was "years old " oven to burn out. I called Choice made appointment for Technician to come and check the stove. Tech came less than 10 minutes saw what the problem was. Documented that stove needed to be replaced. Took little less than 30 days to receive digital gift card towards replacment. I chose Choice because after researching home warranty companies they had the better rating from other customers that used Choice. This was the first time that I filed a claim. I am satisfied with my first time experience with Choice.

My hot water heater was leaking and I contacted Choice Home Warranty. They contacted a company Home Defense Plumbing and they came out quickly to assess the problem and found I would need a new hot water heater. They then approved this, and I received a new water heater. I did have to pay $480 out of pocket, which I don't understand; I thought it would be covered 100% after paying the $100 service call fee. So, I guess $580 is better than a couple of thousand dollars.

I called regarding my refrigerator was leaking some water dripping on my tiles. Called Choice and spoke a very kind and friendly agent who took all the information. She gave a phone me number for Whirlpool and and in a few hours I got a call from the authorized company. An agent came within 48 hours and in about 20 minutes solved the problem. There was a build up ice . The technician applied some heat and was all done. Thanks .

Recemtly we had a problem with our heating & air conditioner. I thought 9t was a thermostat issue. A tech came out and checked the system . She determined our furnace was running fine and air conditioner was operating fine. She installed a new thermostat and programed it to our specfic needs . She also instructed me on how to use it and our problem was solved. Very pleased with the entire way the situation was handled and resolved.

The company was highly rated and the price was right. We had become dissatisfied with our previous company, because they always seemed to come up with some technicality that prevented the repair from being covered. Choice does not have that problem. The choice technicians have always fixed the problem with no questions or technicalities. I guess or only issue is scheduling a technician seems to always be nearly a week out. So far this has not been a problem although it means we have to “live with the problem” for longer than we would like.

Now that I am a senior citizen I wanted to protect my appliances as they are very expensive to repair/replace. I reached out to CHW on Oct 30 at 1:24 am when I woke up very cold with my thermostat reading 59. Not terrible, but I have been waiting nearly one week now to have an HVAC Pro assigned to my claim. I chatted with them on line, twice in this interim, but just got the "bot answer", something like....... We are sorry you're cold but please have patience... Really? I live in southeast MA, it's going to be in the 30s next week . I called on the phone this morning and left my number for a call back. I was called in 18 minutes. The Rep offered a reimbursement option, but was afraid it will not be covered if the 'diagnosis' from a person of my choosing does not get approved, I'm out the full price charged by the contractor. The Rep understood and when I told her the same issue occurred and was repaired on Oct 9th, just 20 days ago, she was able to reopen the old claim and the same HVAC person I had before (and he was very good) is coming in two days. TALKING WITH A HUMAN IS A VERY GOOD THING! Thank you CHW.

I did not have any experience with home warranties. I asked around my friends, family, and neighbors. I was quite surprised to find out that they all had quite a range of different home warranty companies. None of them really stood out, but Choice Home Warranty seemed like it had a pretty good average satisfaction rating across the board. So I decided to go with Choice. I recently made a claim for my garage door opener that stopped working. Everything was fine and I am satisfied with the service, except ( according to the technician, the SOP for Choice was to always try to repair first and replacement was the final option if all else fails ). My repairs took 4 separate visits, spanning a couple of weeks due to having to order parts and waiting. The parts were major components of the opener and it did not make any sense to me, seemed faster and cheaper to just replace the whole complete unit ? He replaced a part, it failed... replaced another part, and it seemed fine. But a few days later the opener failed again. He replaced parts again and it failed. He came back a few days later and replaced the main assy, and things have been good since. Now, I understand that for a major appliance like a refrigerator, or washer / dryer, I can understand that. But a garage opener ? The repair technician was great, friendly and professional. The claims taker at Choice was also great, friendly, professional, and honestly seemed like she wanted to take care of my issue. My one and only concern is that the monthly rate for coverage is way too expensive. And this is what I hear from everyone. Some have cancelled their coverage stating that is is probably better to just set that money aside for when you need it. That is and average of about $ 700 a year. Go 2-3 years without a claim and you have $ 2,100 stashed away for when you need it. What about 5 -6 years that you don't have a claim ? Look, i'm not stupid. Its like any other insurance coverage, it's a gamble. There is always a possibility for a future expensive disaster. And when that time comes, you will be happy to have the protection and coverage. BUT, regardless, the monthly cost is still rather high. I'm on the fence about it. I'll continue to keep my policy, but I don't know for how long I can afford to do so ? Just my 2 cents worth, thank you for letting me speak. Mike M.

My dishwasher wasn’t working properly. CHW responded to my request right away properly and was leaving a film on everything CHW responded to my request right away. They sent Mike W from whirlpool service to check the situation. He did a remarkable job and now it looks works brand new one. Thank you, Choice home #Warranty For taking care of this promptly. I'm very pleased with Choice Home Warranty. My refrigerator recently quit suddenly. I put in the claim and they had a repairman out within a couple of days (a miracle where I live), he identified the problem very quickly, ordered the parts and was able to have me up and operational again with a week. If that sounds like a long time, my previous home warranty wouldn't even have had a technician out within that time frame.

I have used the Choice Home Warranty plan twice now. Both times the individual service providers they aligned me with were professional, courteous and helpful in providing any information I might need. It took a couple of days longer than if I had call some major company on my own but I actually got better more satisfactory service and would request that same providers should I need help again with a similar problem.

Policy says items are covered due to normal wear & tear. It does not specify mechanical components only. So a broken handle on an appliance that simply broke from its mounting or a vent cover that rattles loose is not covered. And appeal coordinator does not call on time. Besides it took 10 days to get a service tech visit. BAD DEAL.

The price is amazing for all that it covers and the claim process couldn’t be any easier. I would HIGHLY recommend Choice Home Warranty for anyone who has any type of appliances/hot water heaters/gas fireplaces/HVAC/sump pump or almost anything else you can think of and are responsible for its repair. A flat fee for a service call with a repair or replace policy. If you file a claim, they send out a tech to repair or replace the product, but if it requires multiple visits, it is all covered under the flat fee you had already paid. I bought another house and the first thing I did was get a policy for the new house, but I did much of anything else. I wouldn’t own or rent without coverage from Choice Home Warranty!!!

Choice Home Warranty has been a very pleasant experience. Im surprised at how efficient, polite, precise and actually I've gotta say "excellent" they are. Every step was handled with ease. Initial call, next step; contacted within 24 hrs by repair company, appt. made. They showed up on time, called first . Inspected washer, ordered part. 3 days later, called, made appt to install part. Did it. Washer works! Exactly how it should be. I've had 3 different HW companies since buying this home. First Amer. expensive, cost kept going up, didn't even have a claim. 2nd Select, horrible. 3rd Sears, really bad. Choice will be my HW company forever. They make me believe that a company can still be excellent at what they do! No BS.

The only thing we’re having difficulty with is getting returned calls when we have an issue! The installation of our new HVAC SYSTEM WAS PERFECT AND CLEAN!! The only problem was we did not get the ac system we were told we were going to get? We asked the installation company to tell CHW WHY, with no avail!! We expected a higher seer rating but that did not happen!! But all in all we are very happy with the new ac!!! They acted fast and we did not have to suffer long at all without ac!! I would definitely recommend CHW BECAUSE OF THE RISING COSTS FOT A NEW AC SYSTEM IS CRAZY AND GETTING WORSE EVERY YEAR ! So we are extremely satisfied with the job that Snowflake ac and Choice Home Warranty did!!!!

Submitting a claim through the Choice Home Warranty website has been a breeze—it's quick and user-friendly. I’ve been especially impressed with how fast they review and decide on claims; the turnaround time has been lightning fast. My only dislike is with the local repair services they assigned—none of the issues were resolved on the first visit. That said, every repair was successfully completed on the second trip, and I only had to pay the standard service fee for the inital visit each time, with no extra charges for labor or parts. All in all, it's a fair trade-off for the convenience and coverage.

First of all, Walter passed away. Please take his name off…it is upsetting to get messages for him. I understand you had no way of knowing this. Your service was very good. But,….recently the spring broke in my garage door and my car was in side the garage. It could not have been a worst time.. I'm had doctor appointment I had to,get to.And , my daughter was very ill and I had to go,to her house and take care of her.I called a local person that we used before and he come out that day and fixed it.$375.00.when I called your office, they so they do not reimburse for a situation like that. It wasn't real easy to make the claim s. I'm technologically challenged. I can do it now but the first time was not fun. It is easier to go online than connect with an agent. I'm not having much luck with my claims. The first claim was my microwave. A technician came twice but is still not working. It worked for about a day. The servings claim was my lg refrigerator. It needed some parts for the lower drawers. They hit reach other and don't close without force. The Trevor's cane and replaced the parts but it still hits. The boys for the technician was extremely rude and obnoxious and would not listen to me at all. The tech was great! He came back to fix it but had to go back and look at a schematic too determine if a part was missing. He was really professional. At this time my microwave is not heating and the drawers on the fridge are still hitting

My oven stopped working and my eyes on my stove top was arking and making noiand wasn't getting contaminated nope getting hot, I asked Stormy if they could replace the oven and stove and she said they couldn't, she fixed the stove but after 3 or 4 days after the parts came in and she came back and fixed it it all working but like 3 or 4 days later my big right front eye stopped working and still making arking and sparking noise and want come on, so what happens when my stove or eyes sparks and catches on fire when I. Not jer and burns my house down, cause to get the to come out and check on it again I will have to pay 85.00 again

I have had a horrible time getting the company to approve an AC fix and then when I was on the chat feature (which they point you to use) the chat bot closed the claim after 4 days. I sent 6 notices that the bot did this when I was asking to talk to a customer service representative. I get an email this has been fixed, but then go online and can't get any information because the BOT still says it's closed. I call, get disconnected. I call, I get disconnected. I call, I get disconnected. 3 TIMES!!! This company is TERRIBLE TO WORK WITH.

Was told I would be given a gift card for an amount that won’t even buy one of the cheapest dish washers . And on top of that, I was told it could be up to a month before I receive that gift card.

First time I used CH for dishwasher everything was good. When I needed them for my dryer they failed spectacularly. Techs were here twice and they never got my dryer fixed and I eventually had to buy a new dryer out of pocket with no compensation. Definitely wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
