When I have used your services it has gone well for the most part There was a time when a service man needed to return with a part. It took a long time. I called you as the hiring party to make inquiries. I was told in no uncertain terms that was my job. It’s always easy to make a claim, but I hate that it schedules the appointments for you without asking for your availabilities and we have to contact the company separately to change the days or times. It can be inconvenient because sometimes the appointment gets set up for the next day and then sometimes those companies aren’t great about answering the phone when you call them to tell them that the time they choose won’t work. Other than that, I’ve never had any other problems with Choice Home Warranty.

Choice was listed as the best warranty company in our area. Lately they have denied too many requests for service. Changes in their expectations for maintaining covered items. The technician comes out, looks at the issue, takes pictures and says I’ll submit it for approval, if approved, I’ll be back! I still have a non working item, a few days later I get a letter from Choice repair is denied. You’re wasting the technicians time, and my time. Nothing is repaired but you got paid for the annual fee, I need to find someone to make the repair at a higher cost. Both we and the four people we referred to Choice are looking for other options.

I liked the concept of the warranty and we had enough items to make it worthwhile. The first experiences were bad and we had proof that some of the chosen repair people were not reliable nor honest. But the way our plan was set up, we'll not have to spend any more money since it was collected up front. I spoke with the new manager and it sounds like they are working on the problems. The first repair we had (washer) was a dream. I need to call him again soon.

I have had Choice Home Warranty for less than a year and had to use it for a refrigerator repair. The repair company that was sent by Choice Home Warranty came out the next day and completed the repair. The refrigerator is working great. My only complaint is one month after signing up with Choice Home Warranty they started running ads about 1 month free and or a discounted rate. When I called about this potential savings I was told, Sorry new customers only.

Technician arrived 930am est professional courteous and knowledgeable he didn't have a license permit or company identification he within minutes replaced the motor cleaned the area recheck the unit was running properly job completed 1030 I paid the deductible after the work was completed however I asked him to leave my old motor he forgot I contacted him about it he said he had disposed of it. If I could suggest one thing it would be more communication the day before other than that it was a an excellent service call. 100 percent strongly recommended this contractor service. Choice was very responsive to my concerns it took about a week from dispatch to contract they answered my call and explained clearly that they were reaching out to best contractors available in my area they email updated information very very professional as soon as contractors finished the job choice had text a job completed signature required as a homeowner it was a calming experience with patience it was excellent service. show less

Most of my first time conversation was with Anthony; didn't go well. He was too fast with attitude. I could tell he wanted a quick sale so he could get to another call. I asked for another representative. Second conversation was with Katlin. She had left a voicemail for me earlier than Anthony; I just hit Anthony's return number randomly. Anyway, Katlin took her time explaining her product, researched and applied discounts (military), and then answered my questions to my satisfaction. And, too, I ended up buying a 3-year, same payment, plan when I was only looking for a monthly program. She done good! And I don't feel like I was cheated either. I guess we'll see. And, too, again, I had an issue understanding the AC refrigerant with no cap when a repair was needed. Katlin showed me the contract and straightened me out. Many thanks

Worth it.. I find a lot of value having the peace of mind knowing if anything breaks down, its just a ticket submit away from being quickly handled. Now I can say that sometimes, with the info provided to contact the contractor, I have found that they won't answer the phone. Like in my recent incident. They scheduled the technician to come out during hours that no one was home. I tried to call to reschedule and was unable to get a hold with the contact info provided. That's my only complaint. I wish when submitting the request we have the option to pick a time that works for us from the get go.

My recent water heater claim with Choice Home Warranty had some hiccups in the beginning, including an initial technician visit and some scheduling issues. So there are are a ton of good things about my recent call experience. One not so good that is a Choice Issue and not a contractor issue First off, Choice responded very quickly and dispatched someone toy home right away. Ken from Ken's Heating and Air was awesome. He had everything he needed to fix my A/C system on the 1st visit. This was impressive compared to all other encounters with other home warranty companies. The one issue was that Choice required a $75 hold on my credit card making me think that the technician might be getting paid this for their trip fee. Instead, Choice hold the auth in case I fail to pay the technician? Not even did the technician know but acknowledged that he sees this all of the time with Choice. So now, I have $150 being held up on my card until Choice releases their $75. This could be done better.

Decided to subscribe in Dec of 2025 because I heard great things about Choice Home warranty. Most of the warranties on my home appliances came to an end so I felt at risk if something went out. Within this first year I've had a refrigerator, garagedoor coils, and oven that needed repairs. The claim process has been flawless and efficient. Within the first couple days of filing a claim a technician was scheduled, the only waiting period was for the needed parts to make repairs. The communication with the different contractors has always been pleasant. When juggling work , kids and life this investment has definitely been worth it.

Since having to use them for several repairs, I’ve been disappointed on how little they gave me to replace my microwave and on another plumbing issue did not cover the vendor.
