I recommended Choice Home Warranty to all my friends after they came through for me on my fridge. The technician decided it didn’t make sense to repair, and instead of dragging things out, Choice gave me an $818 Lowe’s gift card. I used it to buy a brand-new fridge! I’m honestly thrilled this really happened. For most people, warranty claims are usually a frustrating process, but not this one. I didn’t even have to get involved—the technician made the call during the first service visit, submitted it, and Choice honored his decision right away.

I contacted company online. They did email me back within a day and said I would be contacted within 48 hours by their referred repair company. It took 48 hours and then another 1-1/2 weeks before they could come out. That’s a long time to be without a refrigerator. Then we were told that it’s a LG warranty problem and I had to contact LG. I gave the 4 stars because of the wait time. The repair guy was very nice and knowledgeable but couldn’t fix it because it was the compressor under LG responsibility.

Two different repairmen came to my home for garbage disposal repair and living room ceiling fan. Both told me they could not be repaired so the disposal man (Anthony) would return with a new one. Two weeks later I e-mailed asking if he was coming back. He replied he would be there in five days. The ceiling fan repairman (Arturo) offered me the $70 fan replacement (on July 2nd) and I told him I would get my own and call him when I was ready. I called four days later. Did not hear from him so I sent him a text on July 15th asking if he was going to return. He sent a text back asking for my address!!! Can not believe I had to contact them two weeks after they cashed my checks!!!

The technician seemed to be doing a very good job, but the communication between Choice Home warranty and the service contractors are not very good. I get misinformation from Choice Home Warranty about the scheduled appointment time. It makes it very confusing when Choice Home warranty is telling me a contractor will be there on a certain day and time and then I get another text message from the service contractor that it’s actually on a different day and time.

Mr. Electric and Simler plumbing were wonderful. Completed work in timely manner and were extremely professional and trustworthy. Sears maintenance wasn't a pleasant experience. Serviceman was unresponsive to questions . My A/C went out on June 17 and finally repair was completed on July 2nd. They seemed t not care that Temps were i. Upper 90s to lower 100s. I've always liked Sears maintenance, bit this was unacceptable. I wouldn't want to have them service anything again.

My firs experience was whennmy aerobic septic system alarm went off. When we signed up e were told they could snd out local companies to assist but it wS going to be two weeks on the septic system. We couldn't risk it backing up so we had to spend $500 to have it repaired by someone local. When our dishwasher broke, it took nearly two weeks to get someone out but the repair person was great My next call was HVAC related and they fixed one issue and said I'd need to file another claim when we discovered another problem. Again, took a week. So, a 1 and a 5 comes to a 3 star review My previous home warranty was always out in a couple days. We changed because Choice was cheaper. Maybe now I know why.

Home choice warranty is a good company. I only had 2 bad issues with this company one was with my garage door they denied me warranty coverage another one was with my light fixture stating bad maintenance how would I ever know to maintain the light fixture and garage door. We’ve had a mostly good experience with Choice Home Warranty—it’s saved us money and covered several issues in our home. My brother, on the other hand, hasn’t had the same success. One downside we’ve both noticed is that service can be slow, and sometimes the contractors don’t seem to fully listen or take time to properly diagnose the issue. I also wish we had more choice in who comes out. Overall, it’s been helpful for us, but it’s not perfect.

When I was told if it could not be fixed ,it would be replaced,I thought it meant you would replace my unit. Not just give me a money option to replace the unit myself. That is the whole reason for having the warranty so that I do not have to replace ot myself. I am not skilled in electrical and am too old to handle the task alone. I am a senior citizen & the whole reason I choice this hone warranty was for the help & convenience of have a skilled professional fix my problems. The first warranty claim took 6 weeks to complete for a door bell chime. The last two were much better in getting the repairs completed. The other issue I have is that when it comes to replacement you only paid me for what The first call took for a door bell chime repair took over 6 weeks and I had to spend over 12 hours on the phone with you until the repair was completed. The last two repairs were much better to complete the repairs. The other issue I have is that when it comes to replacement you only paid me for what my dishwasher was worth and not the cost of a new replacement. I was told during my first contact with you that if an item couldn't be fixed you would replace that item with a new appliance at no additional cost. I was told you would replace the dishwasher or any other appliance no matter what the age ould not have purchased the warranty if I didn't think it had value. age if you couldn't be repaired

I’ve tried 2 other warranty companies where I was with one for over 15 years and the second for 2 years. I changed companies because their technicians were not always experienced. We had an original problem that was solved by calling another HVAC contractor. This contractor traveled to and from our home that is close to 300 miles from us. We were his only call here. He was very personable and capable. He filled the freon in our AC unit and that solved the problem. He said to give him a call if we had any other problems with the unit within 30 days.

The resolution representative was very patient, helpful and understanding. If it was not for her I would have closed my two accounts with Choice Home Warranty. The claims department never tried to make any concessions for the problem even though I believe the technician did not initially make a correct statement as to the issues at hand. Even after the video presented which did not reflect a torn anything on the refrigerator (it was usual wear and tear for being 7 years old. There are circumstances where they be abuse but I provide exception properties with high end appliances. I still feel CHW should have paid for the part.
