Our disposal quit working and we called Choice. They had a man here the next day, he had a new garbage disposal on his truck and installed it in about 1/2 hour. We quit our last home warranty service, AHS, when it took two weeks to get our microwave replaced and we had to pay for most of it. Choice is great.

Tariq from Beltway Air was wonderful !! He agreed to add me on at the end of a long day because I was a Senior Citizen !! He was here from 8:30-9:30 pm !! He and the last technician agree that if my Freon (?) runs low again I probably have a leak in the system and it will have to be replaced 🤣

I submitted a claim for my AC unit and thinking that it would be a day or so before I received a call or email; it was within an hour that I had an HVAC company contact me to come out and check the unit, The Technician was very knowledgeable and within two hours I had a work AC and a cool bedroom. We needed an HVAC repair. The inspection was done, but the techs did not send the information to CHW. I called CHW to see what the repair plan was, and discovered they had no information. CHW contacted the company, and the work was then completed. CHW may want to reconsider contracting with this company. We needed a replacement for our stove, because sensors had failed and replacement parts were not available. We were told that they would give us a Lowes gift card that would allow us to replace our stove with one of similar capacity and features. The least expensive one of similar features was $649.00. CHW offered us $300.00. When I called and spoke with a case manager, she raised the amount to $595.00. The gift card would be emailed in 15 to 30 days. That leaves us without a stove for that period. I should not have needed to fight for the funds necessary to replace our appliance. We insure 2 homes with CHW and are disappointed.

CHW responded very fast to my request to fix the shower head which was leaking gor sevarl days. The plumber who CHW choose was very knowledgeable and professional. He knew exactly what was needed; he did a good job replacing parts and stopping the water leakage. I recommend CHW for your home. Try it! You won't regret it!

I have only filed 1 work order with Choice in about my first year. Everything went good. But once i bought my contract (6 years) after that day i have not heard one word from your company!!!! Most company's sent out a monthly newsletter, or a spring -fall notice for you to do tune-ups on units. BUT NOTHING FROM YOU GUYS!! I had AHS for 3 years and they gave FREE spring A/C and FREE fall heating tune-ups.

Choice home warranty has took care of us on a few things, our ice maker, our AC, but the plumbing is totally Wrong! They can pick and choose what they will pay for and what you will pay for. We had a leak, it turns out it was at the water heater. The plumber came out three times to stop the leak. The last time he took pictures of the water heater and said he was going to put in for a new one. Well I get an appointment set up to put in the water heater, I thought, and the fella comes in again to take pictures of the water heater. And charges another $75! He said because they gave him a new PO number. Then I found out that choice home warranty considers the water heater separate from the plumbing! Water runs through it, water runs from wherever they purify it all the way to the tap. To me it seems like they could pick and choose what they will pay for, "Oh, that piece of pipe, that's not part of the home choice warranty so you have to pay for it". It started out My part was $1,100+, So I had them take off their labor which they were charging me and that knocked it down to $700. We can afford the $700 as much as we could afford the $1,100!

I accepted your offer for payment for my replacement microwave before I knew that's what I did and I wasn't sure who was responsible for installing the replacement which should definitely be covered. However, the amount I received wouldn't cover installation. Also waiting 30 days to receive anything by email (e-Credit) is insane to me.

My first service call after a week they could not get anyone to run my call. I was told to get my own service person which I did and they said they would pay me if I paid them. Well The payment never came. I also contacted my area Choice representative and told him about the problem and I still never got my $400 + back. I am a realtor and had them on My preferred list !! not any more !’ I have had 2 other calls recently and the service person came out of Neosho M. he does not come real quickly but he has always called me and made his appointment and has come at the appointment time and fixed the problem. Until I get my money back I won’t put them back on my Preferred list!!

The service people are highly skilled- the cost is as they say $85 per call. The time to get a service technician out is longer than it should be. My fridge went out one night -2 days to set up a Service Technician, then 2 weeks before they come out-then 2 weeks for part to come in and the technician return to install— good thing I had a older spare to use

Addressed the issue quickly by sending a qualified technician to check and diagnose the problem. Once the issue was diagnosed, Choice Home Warranty sent me the decision to replace the unit with my out of pocket expense and once I approved it they ordered the unit and it was replaced within 3 days.

The service tech who arrived was outstanding. It took just a few minutes to find the fridge issue. My only negative was getting the first appointment, that was canceled twice….too much work load? And times for service…… 11 am to 3pm, appoint. was cancelled 1st time 2nd time very similar, but ETA was about 5pm. I’m not sure if it’s a shortage of service techs, or too many calls per day?? I give the Tech 5 Stars, But two weeks later the part was installed. In a high-end rental it doesn’t look good. Tony M. Destin, FL

Was happy with everything until they decided it would be less expensive to replace my washing washing machine, than fix it, and only approved a little over $300 for me to but a new one, when the very least expensive one I could find anywhere was $489. That does not even include delivery and set up. Seems to me, replacing my washer for a new one should mean to cover the cost entirely of a new one, and to deliver it and set it up. The cheapest brand and cheapest model was was $489, yet they only want to give me$324. And expect me to pay the difference, plus delivery and set up.

While they responded relatively quickly they do not seem to know what everyone is doing. I had them send someone because of a leak in the slab my house was built on, had to call them because they had not reached out to the vendor and was told I would have to pay $455 of a $955 bill. Okay, it happens. Then while I called them back another report stated I would have to pay $78. GREAT! Then they went back to check the earlier notes, changed it BACK to $455 because I agreed to. Of course I agreed initially because I had water coming into my house. If I had known it would only be $78 I would have never agreed to the $455. No one would call me back about the discrepancy, respond to texts. I don’t do business that way and will not work with a business that does.

So I’m trying to give this company a chance but I have been very frustrated with the warranty company as well as the venders they send out for repairs. Communication is a very big problem. You put in a claim, get an appointment date from the warranty company, then the repair guy gives another date. Then on the day the repair guy is scheduled to come, they text you with another date and time which was very inconsiderate being that I had to take the day off to be available. Then when they respond and look at the unit needing repair, the vender says you need a new unit but all the other parts needed are not included and the cost is as crazy. So I got a second opinion on the repair and the other company says it could be fixed. I don’t mind paying for things if they are truly needed but the up charge for something not needed is not good business.

They sent 2 repair men from Sears & they did nothing to repair my oven. I paid $75 for nothing. I called again & they sent a repairman from J &L & he knew right away what the problem is. I paid another $75. He determined I needed a new oven. Choice only would pay $666 towards a new wall oven which cost over $2,500. I tried to get them to give me a little more, but they said no.

One evening I needed help with my air conditioning unit. It, fortunately, was not an emergency. I called Choice Home Warranty to discuss the problem. Well, the office I needed to reach was closed for the day. I barely got to speak my peace when the guy just hung up on me. Well, I called again. He hung up again. I called a third time, this time I shouted, "Don't hang up on me." Finally he just told me the office was closed. I was disgusted. They also raised their prices some months back. I must add that they did send me help with my air conditioning unit.

Our A/C went out in and when I submitted a claim to Choice Home Warranty it was after 11p as I was about to go to bed. At 7a the next morning my phone rang, was an A/C company wanting to come out and look at my problem. They came out that afternoon, discovered I needed a total unit replacement of my 5-ton AC. The next day I received notice from CHW that my claim had been approved and let me know how much my out of pocket expense would be for the non-covered work. I approved my expense part and the A/C installer called me later to set up a time to bring/install the new unit. Long shory short: from my initial submission of a claim to the restoration of A/C in my home was 4 business days (Thurs-->Monday early afternoon. And, I'm happy to say, the new unit cools much better and faster than my old one.

Mark and Kaylon, the two guys that came to service my water heater did a very good job. They were on time, checked everything out, found the problem, even checked with their manager to verify their findings. They fixed the problem and checked to make sure everything was working right, cleaned up and left. These young men were the best servicemen that have ever come to fix something at my home. I paid for 7 years and am several years into the contract and the contractors have been below scale until now. I finally got something fixed.

I've only had Choice Home Warranty about 2 months. In that short time, both my refrigerator (icemaker) and stovetop were in need of repair after an energy surge. Not sure it caused the icemaker problem, but definitely did the stove. They sent repairmen out in a very timely manner (Frigidaire) and as soon as parts were obtained, it was fixed. It's terrible to be out of ice in Florida with the type temperatures we're having now, so was very happy to get my ice back.

Easy to file, document & work thru a claim. I can update my claim whenever I want and get a response back from the claims team in a reasonable amount of time. Their repairmen can service a long list of appliances, but we had one that was not on the list. They were easy to work with and understanding about us getting our own technician out to access our problem. The 4th claim we filed was on our dryer. Even though the dryer was out of warranty, the manufacturer replaced the dryer free of charge so no need for Choice Warranty to pay out. But they did walk thru the process with me.

I always receive a response from Choice within 24 hours after submitting a claim. For small projects, this is definitely a relief. The vendors are generally busy but good, except Sears Home Services (very unreliable and a lot of employees seem not happy). I hope Choice will have more small business vendors, those are generally professional and thorough.

I had another company offer an inexpensive a/c service to my unit then told me me unit had pressure problems and refused to work with Choice. I cancelled the appointment with that company and called choice to send out their a/c representative for a second opinion. They came out and said my unit was fine and cleaned and checked my unit. I have been with CHW for a number of years and had np problems until this year. I usually rate 5, but because I had trouble with one of the contractors sent to my home. This person was obviously unskilled and had compassion for his job. He did nothing but looked inside my clean dishwasher, closed the door and said go to home depot and get some dishwasher Cleaner. (What) ???? I have dishwasher Cleaner. I gave it to him, he opened it and (sprayed ) it in my dishwasher, turned it on. Got paid and left. Water started to flow from under the dishwasher. I am upset. It took several days to reach him. Once I reached him.....he arrogantly said "I'm not coming back" call CHW. That got it with me.....CHW sent another contractor, out to find the initial problem. The first contractor really did not know what he was doing. Flooded my dishwasher with suds which caused the water to Sud from under the dishwasher. Other than that CHW has always received a 5 rating for years.

My refrigerator went bad, unable to be repaired, Choice provided the replacement funds that help me to purchase a new refrigerator. For the most part it was a great experience. My only complaint was the amount of time it took to find a reputable technician to do the job. In fairness that could be just where we live. Really could not have been better! Have told my friends and family about Choice Home Warranty and how it is great to have the home warranty. Some of my friends have had home warranties and when they had a break down they would not pay. So that is why I have been telling them about Choice Home Warranty and that you stand behind your contract with the customer!

Great Technician resolved the problem right away for the leaking kitchen faucet. The plumbing service needs to hire more plumbers since there was more than 48 hours lead time. For the two wet spots around the shower, the technician checked them and instructed to wait and see if the spots expanding or not since his touched the spot and did not feel wet.

CHW has been very helpful and very prompt in providing services that I needed in my home - thesse were serious plumbing problems, and CHW dispatched a plumber from Concept Renaissance Services, LLC. The plumber (Miguel A - was excellent and did a terrific job repairing all of the problems. In the future, I intend to rely on CRS and Miguel for any futhre plumbing needs.
