The service representatives and delivery personnel are always very helpful. Did not take long to get a replacement refrigerator. The only issue I had was I had to wait 30 days to get an ecard from Lowes. Also I was hoping I could use it at any department store.

Technician was on time but could not find anything wrong with our pipes. The problem could have been the gaskets on the faucets, but since they were not leaking he said he could not look at the faucets as this would not be covered under the warranty. I would think the warranty should have included the option for the technician to also look at the faucets to find out if they were the problem.

I have a home warranty with Choice. My evaporator coil on my HVAC unit was leaking and I filed a claim with them. Filing the claim was easy and their response was fast. A technician came to my home and looked at my HVAC unit, filed a report and my claim was approved. The technician then came and replaced my HVAC unit it.

The company, SA Plumbing was a little sketchy, one week they claimed yo make is all the way to the city line. The next week 6 days later they couldn't go that far yet they charged me full price of running there camera down the line. They claimed we're unable to go that far but since used camera they charged full $515.00 after my complaining they agreed to refund 1/2 until they completed the repair at an estimated 4400.00 cost. I contacted another company and was quoted 1500.00 - 2000.00; so guess who is opening the line. And repairing the line is NOT covered by warranty I saw as my responsibility to choose where MY money went.

Choice did a good job finding vendor to do the repair - unfortunately Js heat and air keeps telling me he is waiting for approval. According to Choice you show approved for repair. Now he is not returning calls. Maybe Choice will have to find another vendor to do the repair. We were told we need a new relay and thermostat. Should not be a big deal. That was last Friday last time I spoke with the repair service he said no parts. I made one phone call and found the parts.

The Technician from Johnson Builders was vice and polite and did his job in a timely manner. Yes I would recommend Choice Home Warranty. Although it took longer then anticipated to resolve the matter of fixing the water heater then inspected. My first call to them was made on October 6th. and the water heater was not fixed until the 28th of October. Maybe the warranty company and the people they use to fix things could have a better system of getting the matter at hand resolved sooner.

I’ve been with Choice Home Warranty for five years and will complete a sixth year because of a free-year promotion. My experience has been mixed—repairs do get handled, but the company consistently looks for the lowest-cost solution. When replacement is required, they instruct technicians to choose the cheapest option available, which has meant lower-quality parts or appliances than what was originally installed. For example, I’ve received a weaker garage door spring, and a very basic built-in microwave replacement. While I appreciate that coverage exists and issues are eventually resolved, it often feels like savings for the company come before long-term quality for the customer.

I have been a member of CHW since July 31, 2025. At the start, in September, I had an issue with our. Garage door. A Technician came to our home within a week and the issue was resolved. I submitted another claim for repair of a leak and a drain stoppage. The stoppage was taken care of very quickly, but there seems to be some type of delay for the leak. I was offered a chance to sign a three year contract for almost $2000.00 because I was starting to trust CHW, the service changed for me. It has been a month now and the leak has not been repaired, plus I have a hole in my guest bathroom ceiling that can’t be repaired until the leak is resolved. I missed two physician appointments waiting for the technicians that never came and there’s a lack of communication between the contractor and CHW. I will get an appointment date from CHW via email and another text from the contractor with a totally different date. I have contacted customer service four times concerning this issue and they are just as confused as I am. If it was possible for me to cancel my contract and receive a full refund, I would. Sometimes I regret changing over from American Preferred Home Warranty. The company was expensive, but reliable.

Up until the last few contractors I raved about choice to everyone and have even had some coworkers buy plans. But recently and specially the last 3 visits which were 2 different contractors I’ve been greatly disappointed! The last one who was also the 1st of the last 3 was the worst! Rude, not helpful in talking to me about what was actually broke left without resolving issues or confirming that it would be approved for parts to be ordered! I had to contact choice AND him to find out when he would be back! And this was for a heating problem and it was quite cold in the house at night. Also both times didn’t have a receipt for me or didn’t provide one later as he promised ALSO wanted cash!!!

I had an a/c issue and notified Choice. The service man came out and fixed the problem. He unclogged a drain line and charged $1700 to remove mold that he said wasn’t covered. Three months later I had the same clogged line. The same tech game out. He fixed the problem and indicated that, if it happens again, I should consider replacing the line. (About $300). Three weeks later I had the same clogged line. This time I called my a/c man. He unclogged the line and gave me a one year guarantee and volunteered to check it in six months. All for $200. I would prefer to call myown tech and have Choice cover any major repair.

Had many fears (most notably my hvac) when buying my first home. Realtor recommended a home warranty. Chose Choice at random and am happy I did. They have been phenomenal. A skilled plumber came to my house to fix a clogged kitchen drain. He was very knowledgeable about the issues. Replace a few parts, unclogged the drain and was done in less than 30 minutes. Also, the service call was done within 4 hours of when reported the problem.

It's not the contractor per se; its more so of the process to get a repair completed (shouldn't take several weeks for a simple repair due to the requirement for multiple requests and multiple charges). I do not like the fact that when there is an issue, it takes multiple contractors to resolve. Why not assign to a contractor and have them complete the job from start to finish and include it as one. For example, contractor took a look at what the issue was ($75); input the request for service (assigned to a NEW contractor) who kept putting me off for several weeks and felt that coming at 8PM was okay with me with young children in the home. I called you all to say that it was unacceptable and to please assign to original contractor, who was able to take care of within a few days (another $75). Why does it take two different contractors to do something that could have been taken care of within days of the initial call? Alot of time was wasted and my tenant still has a hole in their ceiling from the water damage. I chose to not input another request in for the repair, in order to avoid the $75 deductible when it is related to the original issue.

My refrigerator was not repairable so Choice will send an e-gift certificate for replacement of fridge. Service was fast/very pleased with that. Choice told me the e-gift would take up to THIRTY days to receive. It’s been almost two weeks so I have to be without a fridge for two more weeks. I called the company at least twice and was told they cannot expedite claim.

They did fine for appliances: dryer I still had to pay $600 for water heater, but it could have been double. But when my a/c unit went out,CHOICE Home Warranty chose picked the repair company who came to look & turned in a report that stated my unit looked vandalized or tampered with (suspecting me) so they would not cover replacement of my entire A/C unit, leaving me in the heat. They said there’s nothing they will do, period. I was so desperate & upset, that I used Thumbtack to get a second opinion which was also trying to get me to finance through them for $12,000 plus $3k cash, for a whole new unit. Which I couldn’t get approved for. Now it’s been an entire week and out of the blue a man calls from yet another 3rd company left over from my initial contact to Thumbtack. I told him it’s trashed & I can’t afford a new unit. He asked me if he could just come see for himself, no charge. Of course I said yes. He came and fixed everything for $980. Good as new. I was being scammed by not 1 but 2 companies. When i called Choice to see if they would reimburse me for the repairs due to the damage. They would not allow me to turn in the report from the company who was successful in fixing it. I want to change companies now.

Overall, I'd recommend Choice Home Warranty. They've never denied any of our claims. We've had electrical, plumbing, A/C, and refrigerator claims since we purchased our home 4 years ago. Sometimes it's hit and miss with the companies they use to service the claims. Both of our air conditioning units have gone out multiple times. Although it took months of band-aid fixes, the units were eventually replaced (a few years apart). That alone is worth having the warranty!

So, we chose Choice Home Warranty because of what I've read online about the services you provide. But after paying our monthly fees over a period of time and having an issue with our Hot Water Heater we submitted a claim. Upon doing so I was contacted by a service technician who came during a storm and pretty late at night. He was removed from the service for an unknown reason. I was then told that CHW has the option to send out another technician for a second opinion. Makes me feel like CHW does not trust their technicians on their call list. Makes me worry if we made the right choice in our home warranty company. The work was completed, the technician did an outstanding job. I was given the option to pay out of pocket first, so I did, and now I'm waiting for my refund. This process was a lot more complicated than I expected. And I'm barely getting paid back what I paid out of pocket. So, I'm second guessing whether or not this is even worth it.

Claim One went just fine but it took two service calls and I had to pay trip call twice. The microwave is now replaced Claim Two was totally unsatisfactory. The garbage disposal didn’t work - I pushed the button at the bottom several times - it wouldn’t start and the sink was backing up. CHW referred the claim to a service company that changed the service appointment window three times - sometimes at the last minute. This was so UNSATISFACTORY that I finally paid to have someone install a new garbage disposal. This incident has made me question as to whether I’ll renew. On top of all the above, CHW hasn’t sent the check for microwave replacement on Claim One

I expected an email confirming my appointment. I waited almost two weeks for a notification, when the gentleman unexpectedly arrived one morning at 9:00 a.m. without notice. Fortunately, we were home. I learned afterward that a message had been sent to my account, saying when he would arrive. Unless a person knows to check there, it's frustrating waiting for some sort of confirmation. An email or text providing the appointment would be appreciated.

The fact that they were quick with getting someone out for the problem. Dislike the fact of the reimbursement amount is way less than what I purchase my product for. And the fact that I have to pay for server to come out and still have to come out of pocket to replace my product. I thank you for requesting my opinion. There was a quick response to my garbage disposal breakdown. It operated quietly and worked well before. Replacement was approved, which I’m grateful for. When I talked with the salesman who explained Choice, he said a breakdown would result in the same or comparable product. The replacement company used a cheaper and loud model. Overall, the company has been great to deal with. For some repairs I get approval for parts within Minutes, which is amazing. Other repairs can require up to a week or two, which means some Aplliance or feature in my home is not working while I await approval. It tends to be on the bigger jobs like an air conditioner or refrigerator. That’s why I deducted one star. Compared to my previous Home Warranty company Choice is substantially better comparatively.
