Takes too long to get a technician out every time I’ve had to do a claim. Usually have to wait anywhere from 3-5 days just to get someone to come out. Hard not having Air Conditioniner or working washer dryer for that long. Then they come out and usually say it will be between 5-7 days before the parts come in. So ur without ur household working items from 1-2 weeks. Wish they got out faster.

Policy states it covers ductwork and I pay additional for roofrepairs. Choice denied my claim to repair a roof leak and recently denied a claim to repair/replace ductwork damaged from normal wear and tear: stating it wasn't normal wear, which it definitely was do to age and normal wear from condensation of the HVAC unit itself.

Overall, I think it’s good. But there can be some improvements because I’m still waiting for my check from Lowe’s so I can go buy a new stove and it takes 30 days to receive that. I would give it 3 1/2 stars because of the problems I have with the stove. But that’s OK I’ll wait. I also didn’t know until I asked that it would be a Lowe’s email, not a Choice warranty email to get my Lowe’s card to buy another stove. So I need to be sure and check my spam which I think would be good to let your Customer Service rep. Tell the customer to check their spam if you have any questions you can call me

The home warranty process only works if the warranty company provides their share of the bargain. Availability of service providers is a huge issue. We've had some seamless experiences which were great. However recent needs of plumbing and appliance servicing have been very frustrating. We were 3.5 weeks without a refrigerator in our kitchen due to scheduling a provider which we ended up having to secure ourselves. When he arrived, he had to fill out paperwork to validate the issue and estimated cost for repair. When the repair was done, the labor ended up being higher than what Choice said they would pay so we ended up paying more out-of-pocket than the contracted Choice fee of $65.00. For plumbing, a provider showed up for a recent stoppage that didn't have the equipment to provide the service, so another plumber had to be called. Through exposure to plumbers for several issues, we have learned that the process wasn't just complicated for the homeowner, but also the provider. We've had recommendations for other warranty companies that they prefer because it isn't as complicated on their end as Choice. Our contract is nearing expiration, and we are looking for another provider

I have good experience with two of my three clams. One is microwave replacement and the other is fixing a problem with one of my AC units. But I had a bad experience with one of the claims, that is leaked coil of an AC system. The problem was not fixed and ball was kicking back and forth between customer service and service company. I ended up calling on a different company to replace the unit with my own money. It was ver disappointing.

I originally received great service from Choice Home Warranty but this year my heat went out in one the coldest times of the year and it took over 2 weeks to get someone assigned to me. Recently my oven stopped working and a contractor came out to fixed the issue, now when you turn the oven on the gas smell is so strong that it made me physically sick. I called Choice Home Warranty 5 times and kept getting transferred to automated message saying leave your phone number, you will receive a call back which I never did. I ended up calling the contractor who will come and look at it on Friday 4/19.

I think Choice has an excellent home warranty program. They settled my refrigerator issue and dishwasher break down quickly and effectively. The dishwasher repair company however didn’t finish the job properly but that’s somewhat separate from Choice.

We've had it for less than a year. Our water heater needed replaced. The plumber was condescending, rude and terrible communicating with us. I refuse to let him back in my house. The second plumber who came to fix the whole house humidifier was wonderful. We have a toilet leaking into the basement ceiling. We were told we could request the plumber we liked, that was over a week ago. We've called and talked to a person direct who gave us his number but we're just told I'll talk with management. I called again and left a message. Today I still haven't heard anything so I called the claims line she was more helpful and I left a message with the plumber we like to accept the claim. I'm mixed with how I feel about this company. I've had terrible and good experiences. I've been promised wonderful things but they haven't been delivered yet. I want this company to be good, I renewed for three years. It's $75 for a service call. I was charged $460 installation fee for the hot water heater, that was a few months ago, but now I was told they don't charge an installation fee anymore. Good luck

Can be helpful depending on the situation. Sometimes you run into those situations that are just not covered. Also, a lot of time for cases they come and find the problem. But do not have the parts to do the repair. For someone that lives alone and does not work at home. It can be an inconvenience due to having to take multiple time away from their job and losing those hours.

I have (3) Choice Home Warranty policies: (1) in my primary home and (2) in rental duplexes. Some issues have been dealt with quickly and efficiently by vendors I would to like use again. Others were terrible. They could understand to contact my tenant and for scheduling. Once the technician rescheduled several times at the last minute and never showed up at the final visit, then blamed me for not being available...after my tenant took off work three times to be there. I do not like that they will not allow me to choose a technician who has been there previously, who is respectful and competent. They send out a work order to a list of service companies and it is first-come-first-hired. My most recent experience was asking for repair of my irrigation pump. First they said someone would call me in 24-48 hours. 4 days later they said they did not have a qualified vendor in my area, I could schedule my own vendor. I scheduled my regular pump repair guy. Within 6 hours of that I got a text message saying someone would be there the next day. I cancelled my regular pump guy. I waited on the CHW vendor, and texted him later when he no-showed. He said he does not work on pumps and told CHW that. The next day I got a message telling me to choose my own vendor. I started working on that when I got a text from a plumber saying he would be at my house the next morning. That guy did a good job, fixed the problem with the pump switch and I am happy with his work. In summary: I would like to have the same technicians at my house every time. I would like to use my technician if they will accept the terms of CHW. I want recourse if the technician does not show up.

Is a peace of mind to have home warranty. Choice warranty are quick to respond and keep you up to date. I never ha any issues until this last time. The service was prompt but the communication was conflicting. The sattus, the plan of action and the communication came from different sources with different details and customer expectations which made confusing and delayed the process a bit.

It took way too long to get someone to come to look at my washing machine. It was 5 weeks before anyone came and that was after I found the repair man my self. And then Choice Home Warranty did not pay the difference for the service call. I was supposed to pay $65.00 for a service call but when I call a man I had to pay $109.00 for the service call and I was not paid the difference. And since the machine could not be fixed Choice Home Warranty agreed to replace it and they only paid $343.00 and there is no way you can get a washing machine for that amount of money. The whole deal was a night mare.

Reimbursement takes for ever Getting reimbursement For a defective item takes forever. Our dishwasher needed to be replaced.. The technician was able to make a temporary repair but the partial reimbursement from Lowe’s took to long - we still don’t have it , So that we were forced to purchase a new unit so we wouldn’t be with out a washer while we were waiting for the partial reimburse from Lowe’s.

When people buy a home warranty they are trying to save money. Your company uses tactics that cost the members more money. When a person pays into your company for 6-8 years and has a problem an appliance that cost more than it did when they purchased it they are not looking to put out money to replace their appliance especially if they are retired living on a fixed income. The money they paid into your company for many years should suffice for a few extra dollars to get them a up to date appliance. In the long run it saves them and your company. It is unfair to go that and it doesn’t make for good business. Your monthly price goes up as well which means their is enough in the kiddy to bring your customers up to speed and it’s a win win. I never said your company was amazing.

Was not real happy with our frigerator repair. Work done great but when parts came in, slow on returning to install them and was charged an additional $150.11. We were told by the repair person that some of parts weren't covered. That they were altered parts. All the parts that were replaced came with the LG refrigerator, how can they altered? Altered means changed by someone. They have not been changed by anyone. I would like a call from Choice to explain these charges. Thank you William Jones

I used I think about 3 weeks ago for an electrical issue in my home. So I registered online, I complained online, and then I got a technician that day, the technician came and did the job. I was pretty happy with that. I have one more complaint that I filed last week, but the technician is gonna be coming 1 week later. This is on a, on a roof problem. Sometimes I feel like they should assign technicians quickly, not wait for the problem to become worse.

I thought my dishwasher was leaking, but it turns out it wasn't, it was just backing up into my garbage disposal, and that was coming out a little bit from the pipe. So he picked up the garbage disposal, which in turn fixed the dishwasher. They were timely and the person that they sent out was really great.

I called on my warranty and explain the situation with my item, and initially was declined and told that it was not covered but after contacting my representative, I was, and waiting a few days, I was told that it would be covered. And in the long term, it was, it was taken care of. So I was very happy. Choice is always come through, but unfortunately, sometimes it takes a fight before it comes through.

I am happy with responsiveness and quality of the people and technician we have interacted with. I’m a little different at the support I received for my new refrigerator. Technician came out and diagnosed problem quickly. I received a message from Choice that my compressor was under warranty and I had to go directly to the manufacturer. They did give me an 800 number. I paid for the Choice technician but the GE technician did not charge me and came back again no charge to finish installation. I don’t think I should have been charged because it was under warranty and I would have at least liked to have Choice tell me upfront that I should have contacted the manufacturer first

The premise behind getting a home warranty is a great idea, but only if it actually works and is useful. I have been w/out a fully functioning washer now for close to 2 months. Technician #1 was prompt and communicated well the situation, was even able to get it functioning partially while we waited for parts. Unfortunately one part is no longer available, he recommended replacement. CHW didn't agree and assigned tech #2. Tech #2 hasno showed/no call and not even an acknowledgment of receiving my messages. So here I sit w no washer and it is being assigned to yet another company. Not worth the hassle. For my stove claim they were very prompt but the problem is you have to wait for parts, and as luck would have it, the part sent was defective, so had to reorder and without the use of it for another week. Seems like it will be less stressful to put the money spent on the warranty into a rainy day fund and just speak directly to the repair companies.

I am thankful that my HVAC unit was replaced. The guys that did the work - from EMS - were terrific! Very happy with new unit. What I am not happy about is the lack of paperwork; invoices, warranties, itemized list of costs and the dollar amount CHW actually covered. It was still a significant out-of-pocket expense for me, but again, I'm thankful for the new unit and great work done. Thank you.
