Horrible customer service and you guys will not fix anything. I will never recommend Choice Home Warranty they make you jump through hoops and only fix the minor things. Then when you try to cancel your five-year contract, they want to charge you for every dime they’ve spent at your house so you do not get any money back, they are a scam.

I have been waiting 2 months to get my oven fixed. Still not fixed. Also I am waiting on a refund for the premium I have paid for coverage on my hot tub. They have neither refunded nor changed my monthly fee because my tub is above ground which they knew when I added the coverage.

My refrigerator stopped working on 9/6/24. This is the 3rd call in 10 years on this fridge. Technician arrived on 9/10 and on 9/12 told Choice that the parts were not available and to replace the fridge. Since 9/12, I have called daily for updates. On 10/17 a new tech came and on 10/21 Choice authorized a repair and want to charge my family $181 extra. There is no date in sight for part arrival or repair and my family of 4 has been without a fridge since 9/6. Choice has no remorse or care and offered to give me one month free - $35. I have spent $36 per week since 9/6 on ice to provide proper food for the family. So, I am already out $252, and counting. I cannot rate my experience lower than a 1, but I can say that people should think twice before venturing down this path. This company will not care about your family.

I was told by my brother in law to get this warranty. Everything was good till my central ac went bad in the middle of July when it was 95-105 in the house with a 2 disabled people, diabetic, 87 y/o elderly who can't walk. That's when you realize not helpful at all. They told me to go get my own company because Blum management who took the job kept canceling. Mom had a fever almost passed out from the heat. Top it we lost electricity so didn't have fan either. I begged CW to get me someone sooner but no one helped me. Every person I spoke to was rude nasty attitude. I tried to get my money back & was giving me practically nothing back. I begged for my mom but they were all heartless. I called several times with no response. I was on disability & just went back to work still sick. At least I got to go to work but my disabled mom couldn't go anywhere. I asked what would they have given if they company their authorize get paid. They said $3000 & still did not give me that. Gave me only yesterday 450 out of 12,000. Only Antiwaque was kind & cared but still couldn't give me the $. Stopped talking to my bro in law because of this when I asked him to help me & he didn't. So upsetting what happened. Been very sick from the non-stop calls to CW with getting rude, nasty resolution specialist such as Danielle. You can never get the same person you spoke to do you have to tell over & over again what happened. Customer service usually all men are rude. Never answer with their name. So disgusted with what happened. Hope everyone in this CW that was inconsiderate get karma for with what they put my mom & I through. Extremely shameful, inhumane. 😡 Not one person cared!!!!! I was telling when I first got this warranty to recommend people as I'm a good networking person. Not anymore. I will not recommend this company to anyone. I thought Sears was bad but wow this company is the worst for what they put my elderly handicapped mom & I through. No one would listen.

Hi repair man came after a week of waiting. He was here for about 30 minutes. Said he couldn’t get it to do what he thought he would after he left the washing machine still wouldn’t work. We called him and told him what it was doing. He said water valve water valve that’s been almost 2 weeks Still haven’t got a water valve to try to get it to work but I’m not happy I’m getting service. He didn’t do no diagnostics or nothing. He was in my home for about 30 minutes. Hope things get better should be next week. Hope it gets better for us. Thank you for being concerned.

I have had home warranty coverage with Choice Home Warranty for a little over a year. During that time I have made two claims. One was just a blocked drain that was backing up and the other was a washing machine service. The first claim, which was the blocked drain they told me that it was not a covered service. I talked to a couple of people because the previous coverage I had covered that type of service. To make a long story short, they did not pay anything and I had to pay $300 out of pocket to get the drain cleared. I mentioned it to my sister-in-law, which is a top realtor in the city of Montgomery and she advised me that it was a covered service. When I called Choice back for the fourth time, they agreed that it should have been covered. Then on September 15, 2024 My washing machine would not turn on. I called choice and they did not schedule me a service call until September 26. I expressed to them that I needed something to be taking care of before then. They said they would check on it in call me back. Then, the next day I received an email that the September. 26th appointment had been canceled and they rescheduled it for October 1. I called and spoke to Supervisors, So they say after holding for 20 minutes or so. They said they would call the service company and try to get it expedited. That was a bunch of hogwash. I live in the capital city of Alabama, Montgomery, and they had no available technicians or service people here. Someone came from Columbus Georgia to service the washing machine. Of course it could not be repaired and I needed to get a replacement one. I have been at this point without a washing machine for over three weeks!!!!! To make things worse, The amount that they provided to purchase a washer was like a third of the least expensive one I could find. I called and mentioned that to a case manager, and he said that’s all Choice could pay. Then, to top it all off, they said they would not send out the funds until 30 days!!! Can you believe that?! This is the worst service I have ever contracted with in my life. I have been paying The monthly fee with a service fee of $75. I was advised that the monthly fee was going to increase as well as the service fee. All I can share is that this was the worst experience with a company that did not care about customer service or meeting the needs of their consumer. I would use anyone else before contracting with Choice Home Warranty. Especially with this last claim, I feel like they did not care or appreciate me as their client. My sister-in-law and realtor will no longer recommend or purchase this for her new clients.

False advertising. When Choice says they will replace your appliance if they can’t fix it-they DO NOT. Read the fine print!!!! I had a dishwasher that could not be fixed. Choice sent me a letter saying they were replacing it but in lieu of replacing they sent me a check for $247 for me to replace my own dishwasher. Try to find a new dishwasher in today’s economy for that price. I had a nice upgraded machine too. This company completely inflates their advertising to sound too good to be true. Think again!

I am not happy with the service provided by Choice, as well as the fact they denied to replace my water tank that went out, instead they chose to repair it, which now my water pressure in my home is very slow and I smell gas in my laundry room where the water tank is located. The service technician advised Choice it should be replaced, however Choice decided to go the cheap route and now I am left with a hissing tank, low water pressure and the smell of gas in my home! Extremely unsatisfied customer!!!!

I have reported an issue with my garage door recently and was told the spring was bad and they need to have your authorization to complete the repair. The vendor company did not schedule an appointment despite several follow-ups and escalations I did with choice warranty. With garage door stuck for more than 10 days I had no choice but to get it repaired paying for the repair out of pocket as it was an emergency. I am too disappointed with choice warranty that I had to pay out of my pocket for the repair that was supposed to be covered.

I put in as claim a year ago this September & am still waiting for my new pool pump which was finally approved Every time I call I’m greeted by an automated system stem that orders me to put in my phone number for a call back. The entire year after many many calls I have NEVER gotten a call back My dealer who has the pump in his possession can’t get ahold of Choice Warranty either. THIS IS UNEXCEPTIONABLE & I’m very disappointed with your company. We’ll see if you fix it

Choice is dragging their feet on reimbursing me and giving me the go ahead to get my air conditioner fixed, we are in the hottest part of the summer and I do believe this is unacceptable

Choice Home Warranty only works with untrustworthy independent contractors, and flinches when you ask if you could have someone from a nationwide company show up. The contractors usually show up in beat up vans, if the show up at all. It takes CHW DAYS to find a contractor willing to take the job. For the last service claim filed it took nearly 3 weeks to get a contractor out.

False advertising! Not available for support 24/7, 365 days a week, as advertised. A better description is NEVER AVAILABlE! Do not use this company. Recently had a hot water heater installed. I could have purchased it for less than the price I had to pay! Do not look for professionalism anywhere in this company! Make any calls to their number or a personal number always leaves you with a message to leave a number for a call back “as soon as an agent is available”. Don’t bother, you will never get a call back or email response!

Choice representative was argumentative. Literally didn’t care my ac wasn’t working and was with out for 4 days. The company they sent said my system was low on Freon. Which means I have a leak. They only topped off system. So I should be having the same issue again when the level gets low again. Didn’t perform a a full diagnostic test, other than adding Freon.

The service guy was pleasant and somewhat knowledgeable. He tried to convince me that using a 12-foot snake was as good as a Roto-Rooter cutter for cleaning my drain of tree roots. The problem is still partially there as the toilet and shower drain better but are still slower that 6 months ago.

My first claim with my microwave was satisfactory. However I tried to reach a representative yesterday with a question about what “electrical” covers. I have a wiring problem in my condo where vanity, lights and closet, lights and laundry room lights go on and off, especially when using another household appliance such as the washing machine. I tried five times on your automated system to say electrical and could never get through, no matter what I said. I did leave a callback number and never heard from anyone.

Buyer beware of limitations, and contract is vague. Appliances are NEVER replaced, they offer you a.gift card in lieu of their "cost" to replace, which is a fictional database of what a.like kind product would cost them to replace. In my instance, the initially offered me $329 to "replace" a ge wall oven. I work in construction and buy wholesale appliances all the time. There is simply not a way to purchase a wall oven for $329 any where. After 3 phone calls, and going on 3 weeks, I finally agreed to settle for $1012. But the actual e-gift card may take another month or more to arrive. It is clear after discussing my claim that they are focused on paying the bare minimum for a claim, no matter how long you have been a customer, how much you've paid in premiums, and how few claims have ever been made. Also, it will commonly take 2-3 days to get an appointment for a service call, which is normally another 2-3 weeks out. Do not believe the 24-7 hype. It is a flat out lie.

Been with Choice Home Warranty since 2014. Never had a problem with them when making a claim for one of my systems, A/C mostly, until I needed to replace my A/C system. From the time the technician came and said I needed a new A/C system and put in the claim, Choice Home Warranty gave me the run-around. I live in Nevada, the temperature is in the triple digits, 110 to 118 degrees. Each time I contacted Choice, they told me they were waiting for the technician to give them information. This went on for 2 weeks. I'm melting! They kept trying to have the technician use a cheaper model that was not up to code in this area. I contacted Choice and requested to speak to a manager. While talking to the manager, I asked him if Choice was stalling because it cost more for the right unit and the approved out-of-pocket cost that they quoted me would not be enough. He said that was the reason for the delay. I told him the I knew that it would probably cost me more out-of-pocket and said I could work with that. The next thing I know is that Choice sent me a new out-of-pocket cost quote of over $9300.00. I talked to the technician and he told me the whole cost for the unit and installation was only a little over $8300.00. Choice then had the nerve to tell me that they were paying $600.00 for the air handler. There was no separate air handler. It's not a side-by-side unit but an all inclusive single unit. More bulls**t from Choice. This works out to me paying for everything plus an extra $1000.00 plus to Choice for giving me the run-around. I tried to talk to another or the same manager I had talked to previously and got a "Case Manager" that kept telling me I had to pay the more than $9300.00 amount even after I explained that it did not cost that much for the unit plus installation. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told the she did not have a supervisor because she was the Case Manager. After about 30 to 45 minutes of this bull, I told her to cancel my policy and refund my remaining balance which I received today. I used that to purchase my NEW A/C unit at just a little over $8300.00 and it works fine.
