I think Home warranties are a great idea. The problem is when you have to wait for extended periods of time to get parts are have things fixed. I put in a request for a dishwasher repair back on 3/16/25. The repairman came to the house on 3/24 only to tell us he had to order the part. After I called several times someone finally got back to me 4/7 and I finally got the repair 4/9. The excuse was they couldn't get the part from the manufacturer but that didn't excuse them from not communicating with me for 15 days. The repair man was courteous and professional. He completed the job when he arrived with the part on 4/9/25.
