This company, along with most all Home Warranty companies, is not set up to work well with tenant occupied rental properties managed by 3rd parties. Very difficult to schedule the visit. Plumber that came would only chat on text and would not take our call. Plumber also made our tenant pay for the service call when we had already prepaid for this with our company CC. Plumber also mentioned how hos company was also frustrated with the process of scheduling work etc. We also never get any reports of the work that was done after the fact and that prevents us from accurately tracking the repairs to the home for the owner. Also it seems like this company may now outsource CS communications and also attempts to us AI agents on calls and they are not very good. They keep asking the same question over and over just rephrasing the question as if expecting a different answer. Deryk Key Locations Property Management LLC

My LG refrigerator started making noise. I placed a ticket on Monday, got a person assigned in less than an hour. The service person came the next day and replaced the faulty part. This was the best service call I have ever received and my first for Choice Home Warranty since switching from another company.

I liked that most times the appointment Was made that day the claim was made. I am mad about having a job done that was okayed, but they wanted the work to be done by this very unprofessional plumber. I was not confident in him so I had a plumber I knew do the job. We took pictures, had the paperwork of the water heater I purchased and they would not reimburse me for what they said they would do for the plumber they sent out. $450 is a lot of money to me.

There was the wait time with service repair person when ordering parts they do not communicating with Choice Warranty with updates and follow-up with me. I had to contact service person for updates, which should not be my job. When speaking with customer service they did not fully listen to your issues and they just changed the service provider.

I filed a recent claim. When I pick the item I wanted to file a claim on. It asked what the problem was with the item. I picked from the dropbox the light of the refrigerator. Come to find out I paid a service fee for the guy to come check out the light in the refrigerator. and Choice denied the claim because it wasn’t a mechanical fix. But their excuse for denying the claim was stating that it didn’t show to be damage from wear and tear. They shouldn’t have had it in the drop menu of the appliance I had picked. Because then I wouldn’t of wasted my service fee and file a claim. they wanna argue when you talk to the case manager that is not in the policy to repair items that are not mechanical.

This is actually a review for the service company you sent to my home for my washing machine. 3 weeks of visits: 1 week wait to assess a week to get the motor another week waiting for the rotor that he broke after trying to change the motor Today, all installed, he leaves, but it still doesn't work They can't come back til next Tuesday another week for him to install everything, run as test, I guess, and say it was done. 10 minutes for my wife to discover its still not working and now waiting til Tuesday just for him to come back and tell us something else

The appliance company, Runyon was nice however, it was not noted that I had to call them first before they would come out. They sent a very nice tech, Stefan who figured the problem and said they would have to order the part. This took 2 weeks to get. My dishwasher is fixed and Stefan gave me some great tips.

Overall this company does good. I think the most irritating thing about any home warranty is the money allowed for any replacement is manufacturer price which no one can go and buy a replacement for that price. I feel that the amount given should at least be the full amount of lowest priced appliance in that category. Example: stove… amount given $332. Lowest price basic oven found was around 500.

I was charged $165.00 for the repair of my refrigerator. I was aware of the $100 service charge, but I was not told about the additional $65.00 charge. With my last home warranty company the price quoted to me was all I paid. The service itself however was EXCELLENT! The repair person was neat, friendly, and courteous. He even called to see if he could come earlier when he realized he was ahead of schedule, which worked fine for us. We would definitely use him again the next time we need a repair.

When I bought these policies (4 policies for 3 years), I was told that you had many repair people in our area. Everytime, it is either a long wait for you want me to find someone. I bought these policies because we don't want to find people and get whatever need to be fixed done as fast as possible. I have been told by service people that they don't like working with you and I can't wait to get an authorization because the repair people don't want to wait. If your company wasn't so hard to approve, it would be different. We have had Old Republic for years and they are great. They will approve and get people out fast and will replace if needed...not just give a gift card for less than the product is worth.

When contacting Choice Home Warranty for needed repairs it took a little longer to find a service provider, I am guessing it was depending upon what appliance needed to be repaired. Otherwise, the process was fast. I had 2 situations where a Service Tech came out and was able to complete the replacement of parts or tell me what the issue was in minutes. I disagree with the fact of the monthly service plan amount increasing every year; especially after begin with Choice Home Warranty for over 3 years. There should be some type of incentive for long time customers.

The first repairman who did the Refrigerator was outstanding…prompt, efficient, polite, clean The guy who came to repair the Dryer ….. said an electrician needed to check it out. So he did not repair it. When I tried to call the electrician and reschedule, his phone mail was full. So I had to call CHW who cancelled the appointment. Recall I am without a Dryer and days are passing. I, myself, finally called in an electrician/dryer repairman who replaced dryer and 220Line parts . The dryer now works fine. No Thsnks to CHW

Now, I’m trying to figure out how do I get my stove back up and running again without having to pay another fee! I am afraid they are going to send this man back to my house! when I buy Choice Home warranty, they said it is fast appointment especially in Texas for air conditioning; however, the tech appointment keep delaying to the point that tenants put complaints to Fort Worth city. City has send inspectors to the house and issue an immediate issue fixes. Choice seems to find that an opportunity to delay all process such that the owner has to fix the problem prior to their approval from Choice. And Choice then use it as a reason not to reimburse to their clients. I find it as a scam. all of their agents, techs, and case managers are working super slowly to the point that you give up on the claim and find your own technician to fix your problems. In addition, the HVAC technicians they sent out maybe not having a lot of knowledge, techs are guessing the issues and temporary fix, then appointment again to try different way. Does everyone have time to keep sitting there waiting for them to keep trying and suffering with high heat, and we all have job to do! I am not sure if this is a delay tactic to save company money when it gets called for fixing the issue especially on HVAC system. I have business and buying long term plans with Choice, but now I feel that this may not be a good choice after all after dealing with them in many cases. I am not happy at all!!!! For small fixes, they do. but for big fixes, which we signed up for after all, they find the way to reject the claims

I think the warranty it’s self is very nice to have and gave me peace of mind knowing i had a service to call if i had any issues, however the sales people calling to get you to renew your warranty are ridiculous. I fully understand wanted to get a sale and commission and whatever incentives they are getting from their company. But calling multiple times a day everyday for MONTHS before a policy expires is ridiculous. My finance and i would get multiple calls a day from different people all trying to get us to buy a different policy with different payment plans. They also email and text and send mail even after i told multiple sales people that we are not interested. we can’t afford to continue their services they kept calling. then i got an email saying they tried to charge a card on file for a month to month plan that we DID NOT sign up for. when i called to ask them why they are charging me i got an automated system saying they would call back..they finally call back and they person im talking to cant help me and says they will transfer me and she just sent me right back to their automated message.
