I’ve only used 3x and response times were great but not for my AC. Have to wait over a week and the inside of my home is 89 because it’s June in FL. The first guy upsold me $900 which later I realized I didn’t need. I’m 72 and living on a fixed income. I also thought they would replace faulty equipment with comparable parts but apparently I don’t have that add-on.

I chose to work with choice home warranty because our neighbor recommended them as our homes are about 13 years old now. A month later, the neighbor had a terrible experience with Choice Home Warranty and switched companies. On our first claim with a leak in the tub piping, Choice denied coverage because the pipes were not visible. They handle little rinky dink jobs like garbage disposals but nothing substantial, which was the main purpose of us buying this warranty.

Because on the face it has a great initial start. Customers service the app are great. But to only pay $15 for a tub spout when the one to replace with an identical one costs $56.00 is wrong policy said like for like. Then to have it take a week to install is too long. Then add the ac claim being fix just to go down a few days later and not even have it looked at for a week is unreal. I am over 60 sitting in 95 to 100 degree weather. My medications are melting it is so hot. I don’t believe there isn’t a vender to fix it sooner.

They do a reasonable job of quickly getting repair people to our home to fix whatever is broken. Occasionally, the first repair doesn’t work and they had to send someone else, but I did not have to pay an additional fee (which is now $100 a visit). Also, if something needs to be replaced, the amount they offer to replace it is ludicrous compared to the real replacement cost. Also, their monthly fee seems to go up way too often.

AC was out, technician came, fixed ac, I paid him. He provided paperwork which i submitted. Denied payment. Did not wait for pre approval. He was her, it was hot , he fixed it. If I waited for approval he was to leave for another call unsure when his schedule would allow a return. As I said it was 🥵, he was busy getting to other customers, I did not wish to miss opportunity to repair my AC.

When Mazaya garage door repair man came out, he found the problem right away. Ordered the part and came back today and did the repair. He also made sure that both remotes and the keypad were operating the opener. Also made sure that the door sensors were correctly aligned. The technician was very friendly and polite. Our garbage disposal had stopped working, We reset it and it ran for a short while and stopped again. We tried the reset with no success. I filed a claim with Choice Home Warranty and a repair service was assigned within hours and the appointment made. The service tech communicated concerning his time of arrival and when he arrived was very pleasant and went straight to address the issue with the disposal. The repair technician has been here 3 times! It’s been almost a month and I still don’t have a working ice maker. He replaced the Icemaker, no ice! He came again and removed a bunch of panels and said it was a malfunctioning switch. He came back a week later, ignores the switch and replaces a part and says “you now had water” which was never a problem! Then he say Oh I forgot the ice maker was the problem. He said he would fix it on 5/6 and never showed up and now said he would come on 5/8! If he doesn’t fix it this time you will need to send me a technician who knows what he is doing!I’ll keep you updated

Ive been with Coice for a little over a year. I had a couple claims honestly that they didnt cover entirely (Plumbing issue). I was going to cancel my policy but decided to stay for a few more months as a just in case security blanket. Well, my AC unit stopped blowing cold air on a Saturday so I submitted a claim. I was prepared for a run around and a long wait time and figured somehow I was going to come out of pocket big time. I was wrong! They had a tech at my house early Monday evening which by the way was Memerial Day, and sure enough they had it fixed in 20 minutes by replacing the capacitor on this very old unit. Choice Home Warranty delivered on their promise to the contract and this is why I will stay them.

First claim on one of our properties was handled well, the technician was good. The second claim on another property was not good. The first technician did not want to come and did not return my messages. He said on the first and only call that he did not have my name on his list and that he had 108 customers ahead me. I called Choice and they changed technician to another company. This technician from " around the corner" was good He did repair the washer. It took 23 days to get it fixed. I think that was way too long. I think that maybe some of the repair companies used by Whirlpool may not b e reliable.

All services that I have reached out to Home #Warranty to address have offered wonderful service. I appreciate the fast response and everyone that they’ve sent out has been very professional. Its mostly easy when you find its covered to setup and appointment. Its all on line is a pro/ con. Elderly gave issues with getting a live person to help. I got a plan for my mother since she’s older and she struggles with getting services because she can’t easily call for services. But overall it helps me maintain our homes. One other minor issue is knowing what services are available to me. Services get dropped and added and it’s hard to know what’s covered on my plan. It would be nice since I signed a long-term contract that new services get added and or other services dropped offer in exchange. or an option to adjust plan it would be nice. Ultimately, it’s nice to be on a call and get some basic services without having to pay an expensive service fee and find out I have the wrong person for the issue.

Their response to my claim was fast. They had a contractor assigned and provided me with the contractor information within 48 hours. I was contacted by the contractor and appointment made within 72 hours. Parts had to be ordered and the service tech scheduled and met the final repair date. The contractor was over 2 hours from my location but made all appointments on time. The previous warranty company that I had had for 15 years didn’t always have service contractors who would service my area and I usually had to find my own contractor and pay for the work that needed to be accomplished and then argue with them to provide reimbursement.

I had to file two claims last month. Both went smoothly. The appointments were scheduled fast. The work was done by two different contractors and both were professional and fixed what needed to fixed. It was easy to ask for service online. They didn’t make me tell them all my serial and model numbers for my items. They also didn’t send me emails and phone calls making me call them back. I didn’t have to do too much work to get them send help. I really appreciated how easy this was. My last home warranty company was extremely frustrating and always tried to get out of paying. So far, I’m happy with Choice Warranty. It’s amazing when people do their jobs.

I had a noise in my garbage disposal and I set up an appointment paid $85 for somebody to come in and tell me there was a piece of trash in there now I know that's still a service call but a company like y'all's or CHOICE HOME warranty whoever would imagine would say you know don't worry about it just watch it but now they charge me $85 to take out a piece of trash. I think they could've done that as a courtesy but maybe that's just me very dissatisfied with that column I'm thinking about going with the competition not just that reason though.

Warranty service has been good except when a covered piece of equipment had to be replaced. In the case of replacement, warranty companies, make it easy to pay extra for an upgrade if wanted. Choice does everything they can to prevent a reasonable upgrade path warranty

I did not “choose” to work CHW. It was insisted upon by my realtor even after telling them I would rather purchase the property without a home warranty. I only took it because it was paid for by the seller. I’ve had horrible experiences in the past with home warranty companies and this is no different. Sure, they’ve fixed about 3-4 items that were covered, but they changed the meaning or interpretation of their own language in their contract to weasel their way out of covering other items. I would much rather prefer to contract and bid my own repair people instead of paying a $75 fee then wait 3-5 days for a tech to come out and do bare minimum repair work.
