I chose choice home warranty because according to reviews that I have read stating that they were #1 among the best top 10 so I decided to give them a try and so far they haven’t been a disappointment, I’ve had two problems made claims and the next day they sent technicians and solved them. I’m very happy with my Choice!

I chose Choice Home Warranty because I live in a very rural area and I had another company that was happy to take my money but couldn't provide service providers when my air conditioning went out, the plumbing had an issue and my dryer stopped working. I ended up paying out of pocket and waiting for reimbursement. I haven't had to do that with Choice. I might have to wait a few days (which is why I bought a portable AC unit) and I can't use my preferred providers but I guess that's how it goes?

I thought they would be different and pass on conversations to the people that needed to know when I called in and told them my phone was down for a week. Ii gave them my sister's phone number and that is all that got passed to whoever. I didn't hear about that I might have to pay 250.00 dollars until they had already took my 100.00. I f I had been told this they wouldn't have got my money. I am so angry and disappointed that I wasn't told, then they tell me to read my online info which I have none of and didn't receive anything about what it pays and don't pay. You can cancel my claim since I don't have 250.00 dollars to pay. L Carol J.

I was very unhappy with the reimbursement process for the leak behind wall issue. I submitted a claim for service. Choice's response - "We can dispatch a plumber in 4-days or 96 hours. Meaning allow water and ruin your property or belongings until our service provider arrives! Unsatisfactory in view as a water leak results in a flooded basement, etc. Suggest you change the way you do business by dispatching your service providers immediately or FULLY REIMBURSE THE CUSTOMER HIS/HER FUNDS FOR HAVING THE ISSUE RESOLVED. Why? Choice would have, most likely paid their service the provided the same amount of money. In a nutshell...piss poor service and customer care!

I previously had a policy with Choice. While I only required 1 service call it was completed on time. My new policy required. a technician to service my 16 years old Maytag washer. The call was promptly answered and it was declared that the machine parts that were required were no longer available. They sent a check for $625, but it took 1 month. This is never explained in the policy. It’s a very long time without a washer. Don’t understand why this payment could not be more speedy

Had an electrical problem on one side of our house that ended up being a bad GFI. All electrical outlets were not working despite it running the refrigerator. One outlet still not working, but wasn’t covered under warranty. Happy to have everything mostly covered and fixed; however, disappointed that the one outlet was not covered. Overall, great service.

we chose Choice Home Warranty first because they had a good deal if you get the 3 year or the 5 year package, while our previous Home warranty was raising the price year after year, and their service was ok but very slow, to get hold of a real person to speak to was a nightmare. with Choice HW they answer the call or they call back within the same day depending on how urgent the situation is. they send a technician with in 2-3 days and eventually they take care of the issue in timely manner.

When I signed up, I hoped that choice home warranty would be different from the others. Lucky for me it was. It is. When something goes wrong, they don't sit on it for days. I had American Home Warranty and was very unhappy with them! I switched to Choice Home Warranty and they have been Excellent! They cover things that my American home warranty didn't cover Or did a higher price! I love the fact most of the people that come out to do the repair are paid the service fee when they get here by me! The few that the service fee is deducted before the technician arrives is because they are Technicians licensed For that brand! Could not be happier!

Coming home from vacation to a freezing house is every homeowner's nightmare. We walked in last night and realized our heater had completely quit while we were away. I immediately hopped onto the Choice Home Warranty portal and registered a claim. I was worried it would take days to get someone out, but they assigned a technician within hours. The repair was done on time, the tech was professional, and my house is finally warm again. So glad I had this coverage in place—it turned a stressful situation into a quick fix. Their response to my claim was fast. They had a contractor assigned and provided me with the contractor information within 48 hours. I was contacted by the contractor and appointment made within 72 hours. Parts had to be ordered and the service tech scheduled and met the final repair date. The contractor was over 2 hours from my location but made all appointments on time. The previous warranty company that I had had for 15 years didn’t always have service contractors who would service my area and I usually had to find my own contractor and pay for the work that needed to be accomplished and then argue with them to provide reimbursement.

I had to file two claims last month. Both went smoothly. The appointments were scheduled fast. The work was done by two different contractors and both were professional and fixed what needed to fixed. It was easy to ask for service online. They didn’t make me tell them all my serial and model numbers for my items. They also didn’t send me emails and phone calls making me call them back. I didn’t have to do too much work to get them send help. I really appreciated how easy this was. My last home warranty company was extremely frustrating and always tried to get out of paying. So far, I’m happy with Choice Warranty. It’s amazing when people do their jobs.

Look I am very disappointed in Choice: You couldn’t find anybody for 12 days in work on my Refrigerator. Then left to me to find someone . I found Conner’s Hanford,ca 866 316-3002 , they charged 254 to come out . The refrigerator repair would have been 1552.49 to repair. Then you wanted me to jump through hoops to get it okayed . Things I didn’t know how to do . So I brought a new one at Costco for 2000 . Choice should be ashamed !!!!

We placed a plumbing claim for a leak and they declined it. They said it was faulty installation. We have copper piping installed in 1995. This may have been wear and tear or age related but not due to improper installation 30 years ago? I asked before I bought the policy if it covered problems like this. I was disappointed by CHW's refusal to pay for the cost of the electrical repair! According to the electrician CHW could only pay $70 and not the total cost of $215!!! I had to payt for the service fee plus the total cost of repair! They didn't even reimburse me for the $70!

The Case manager has no idea how a furnace work. It worked normal before and got issue. So now a technician was assigned to fix it. He fixed it and then wanted to up sale by asking to add C-Wire, refused to connect the current wire with the furnace in order to connect with the thermostat. The Case manager basically just didn't have a glue what is going on, repeated like a robot that Choice Home Warranty does not cover C-wire. I didn't ask for cover C-Wire, I asked for the technician to come back and bring my furnace back to work as it should be with its current wire like before. No need to add anything.

I've done 3 claims. Two claims were handled right away. The third one was to use my own service that I had a maintenance contract with. I had t jump through a few hoops to get that approved for reimbursement and reimbursements was about 60% of the cost.

The original claims agents are very friendly and helpful. But in our latest claim, we had a unique plumbing issue that had to be upgraded to a claims specialist. While she was knowledgeable, she was also very cold in explaining why they would only pay for “builder’s grade” as per the contract. The original plumber got frustrated and pulled out.

I was disappointed in the technician. He was very difficult to understand. He is Vietnamese otherwise competent. I also had trouble understanding your people as most had heavy accents. It was very frustrating at times getting Choice and the technician on the same page. However once the installers came out they did a terrific job.
