I had a great experience using my warranty for my stove; the response was immediate and the issue was resolved quickly. I also had a plumbing issue in one of my bathrooms. Although it took some time for them to arrive, I appreciated their courteousness and thoroughness in checking for any deeper problems. Overall, a positive experience!

For small repairs that are are difficult to get out of, Choice covers the cost of repairs. However, when it comes to larger amounts that are close to (or higher than) the covered amount for an appliance, they give unreasonable excuses to get out if covering it. For example, they claim that a malfunctioning mechanism in a built-in microwave door is because of "damage" because a part inside the door is "broken" and the only option is to replace the entire door. On the other hand, the replacement cost for an appliance is nowhere close to the cost of even a Builder-grade equivalent. They also try to default your payment to a Lowe's gift card instead of a check.

The technician was very professional and explained every step of the way what he was doing. He didn't try to take advantage of my elderly mother by trying to get her to invest in new appliances that she didn't need, like ATLAS does/did. Also, Choice sent text messages before, during and after technician provided the services.

In the 8 years that I have had choice I have had to replace a built in oven and they only paid me $300 and they are at least minimum 1200 plus installation. I had a dryer That needed to be replaced they plaid nothing and said it was my problem. I have had An air Condition replaced 2 years ago$4,000 out of my own pocket And it took 2 months in the middle of summer. I had a bathroom leak upstairs they tore out my ceiling downstairs Fix the leak which was only Something something in the bathtub that needed to be replaced so they didn't need to rip out the wall Then I had to make a new claim and pay again to get the drywall down stairs fixed Which they did not texture they just filled the hole and drywalled but not texture.And now I have My heater not working it's 52 in my house And Looked at it Looked at it and said it probably really switched And left and 2 weeks later I had to call him back They said they would have the part on mon. I waited all day and never heard from them. I still have no heat. ( 1st call was Dec 12)

I’ve been a customer with Choice Home Warranty for about 7 - 8 yrs. I have coverage on three properties. One being a rental property. The cost of the plan is what initially enticed me. My dislike is when it comes to larger cost items they are quick to deny a claim and then if you appeal they give you a fraction of the cost of the repair in “pity money” things that should be deemed normal wear and tear are met a denial. They do not offer accurate replacement value when appliances need to be repaired. Good technicians are a needle in a hay stack. I’ve also been with worst companies so in comparison they’re just ok. It sometimes feels like you’re penalized for filing a claim but that’s why we pay for coverage to use it when needed. I only file when absolutely necessary.

I’m in the process of having my refrigerator replaced. I had to buy on 12/23 because mine was leaking. I called and requested to get a check instead of a gift card to Lowe’s in the amount of $494.00. I was pleased by the prompt response. I called on Saturday night and by Monday morning the technician was at my home. I did have to wait for an approval for a replacement part but this took less than 24 hours. The technician returned the following day with the part and repaired the water feeder within minutes. Very satisfied with the results.

I have only had one encounter. I was extremely disappointed that my refrigerator was dismissed as having a prior problem. I hadn't had a problem with it before I reported it to you. My microwave was fixed without incident during same house call. The repairman expressed his dislike of having to travel so far. I hope in the event of an appliance failure in the future, it will be faster to get a repairman to my house. I don't have the money to pay upfront. The repairman himself was awesome. He was very professional, courteous, and explained his findings accurately. I referred my sister in law to choice and I was suppose to get a reward of some kind. I have not received anything.

We were not satisfied with our previous home warranty company, which the coverage just expired. So, we narrowed our choices down to three companies; Choice, AHS, and Select. Although AHS and Select thought they were making us offers we couldn't refuse (sorry for the Godfather quote), Michael L at Choice was the only one that did not sound like a used car salesman, was patient answering all our questions thoroughly, and more than willing to work with us extensively on price and service fees. This is why we went with Choice; price, coverage, and customer service. Hopefully if we ever do have to file a service request with Choice, we receive the same OUTSTANDING customer care, service, and support that Michael L. provided!

The problem I have with Choice is they don't always have the Best repair companies working for them, Have had some good experiences , and some Bad experiences like my Hot water heater, they put in a inferior unit the one I had you could adjust the temp this one you cant. the other issue I had they didn't hook it up right I called them on it and they got Pissed at me , and wouldn't come back and pick up the old one, like they said they would. I reported it to you and you called them and they refused to come back.

I absolutely loved from start to finish the efficiency, time and the customer service I received from Door Posh. The technician’s name that was sent out was Mark. He called when he was about 30 minutes away and he arrived on time . Mark was very polite with great interaction skills!!! Not only that but he assessed all of his options while replacing and cleaning a few components. Mark repaired my problem after being here maybe 20 minutes. I highly recommend Choice Home Warranty and Door Posh! Thanks for a job well done 👍🏼

The second call was for the kitchen faucet. The tech was friendly and courteous. He did a great job! He was knowledgeable and took his time diagnosing the problem. He had to replace the faucet. We bought this new whole home warranty in August. Our home is only 6 years old so we didn't really expect to have a need to use it, but we are the type of people that take out extra warranties for all of our purchase so we thought why not protect our entire home. This included our inground pool pump. Wouldn't you know it, 45 days after purchasing the warranty our pool pump died. Choice approved the claim without any issues. We are so glad we went with Choice Home Warranty.

I was hesitant about using this company when I read reviews but I am sure glad I did. They sent a tech to check our air conditioner because it was losing Freon. That tech could not find the leak. We paid the $100 service fee as expected. The company then found another company that came and found the leak. Choice agreed to replace the air conditioner. Everyone responded quickly to our need. Do be careful to read the “fine print” on what is not covered. The AC and installation cost us over $2000 which was far less than an $8000 quote we had gotten from another company before remembering we were paying for this warranty service. We did have to check the website for communication. I had not known they contacted another company until they called. Their communication could improve. That is the only reason I give a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating.

I had a frustrating experience with their service. The initial electrician lacked confidence, and when I asked for a second opinion, they refused. It turned out the issue was a simple fix, but I had to fight for a refund for the incompetent service. On the plus side, they respond quickly when I need appointments, but the quality of work needs improvement.

I was very pleased with the rapid response by Choice Home Warranty when my washer developed a leak! They contracted with a very reputable home service company that once specialized in my washer brand. Sears Home Service inspected my washer, determined the problem, ordered parts which were delivered to my home, & the same technician returned to complete the repair! The total repair was completed in 2 weeks! This is significant as I live in Hawaii where everything takes longer (shipping, appointments, etc.) I was also impressed with the technician’s professionalism & capability. All done! Thank you, Choice Home Warranty!

Worst experience with this company. I was approved for a water heater replacement but they refused to pay for the installation. So I discovered that they will only pay $300 for the installation and will leave the rest to the customer which was $455. Nowhere in the contract does it mention that they will only pay $300 for labor and or installation. They use the term "uncovered cost" and try to blame it on the plumbing company they use. The only other option they gave me was to buy the water heater myself and they would reimburse me after sending in the receipt. However, they only offered me $417 dollars for the water heater which costed over $1500. Stay away from this company!

I was assured by your sales team that there were many, many contractors in my area. This was the biggest lie of all. The closest is about 1 1/2 hours away. Not really a happy customer.

The plumber came, said he could not open my drain. I pd the $75 and had another plumber come a few days later,. He opened the drain and charged me $350. I spoke to Tania and she said she would send me an email to attach my bill to and would refund me $165. I have not heard from her, maybe she got busy.

They took a long time to assign a contractor to my claim. I did observe that the contractor did not due a complete in investigation. When choice warranty assigned another contractor, he was located 1 5 hous away a d refuse to come unless he had more business in my area, when I called choice warranty on why they assigned a contractor so far away they replied he was the first one to answer the call for service. That told me that you don't hire quality contractors.

I had a water heater go out. They came over and tried to fix it but that same night it went out again. The technician said he needed to be replaced. It was taking too long so I had to pay for a new water heater aside from the warranty. So Choice warranty never came through for me. Extremely disappointed and so I canceled my Choice Home Warranty!
