When I ask a question, I never get answers. I've been putting in and asking questions and I have not gotten an answer yet about my contract. I've used it once. I put in three total this year and had to cancel two because what I thought was broken decided to get fix itself, except for the refrigerator, but that was taken care of.

When my wife and I signed up for Choice, We were assured that we would be able to choose our service company. That was not the case on our first service call. Subsequently, the technician that responded ended up not being able to fix the stopper of our two year old commode and the only alternative was to purchase a new commode that we had to order and pick up from a local store to have them install. $750 later…

Quick to schedule appointment, but fairly long wait (1 week) for repair person to come out to look at it. Then even longer (2 weeks) for appointment to come back and actually fix the issue. For a large family, 3 weeks is a long time to go without washing clothes

There are times when you attempt to communicate with them, that ypu simply think "the lights are on but they must have their head in the oven" They do NOT hear what you are saying at claims time...they simply repeat their script! Getting to talk to a supervisor about you claim is as close to a Donkey giving birth to a Rinocerus. GOOD LUCK!

The quick response. I called on Saturday afternoon when I found out my heater was not working. On Sunday I was notified service was schedule early Monday. Chicago as you know the weather changes so rapidly. So on Monday the heater was fixed and running well. Thanks Choice.

When I join this company I was happy until I needed help to repair my air condition, the contractor they sent out couldn't fix the problem, all he wanted to do was check the refrigerant he said that the company would pay for anything more. My sink was stopped up. The guy came in. He spent no time at all. He did something to the sink, and it was the same. It was exactly the same so I had to have someone else come because he couldn’t come back and had to pay for someone else, I requested my money back since it all happened within three days and they said no I didn’t get my I didn’t get any satisfaction from this guy and I wouldn’t let him come back anyway so I’m very disappointed that y’all took my $85 and wouldn’t give it back to me because it was no help at all and I had to pay twice because I had to pay someone else B

Tech came unprepared. We had sent make, model, serial. And problem ( timer won’t advance), first to Choice, then again to Sears home service at their request. Tech showed up with no info and no parts. Spent all morning trying to get his app to work. Then said was waiting on authorization. I finally called Choice and got the authorization number for him. Then wrote him his check for the call. He then told me he couldn’t return to replace the timer until March 27. This was in Feb 20. Half the day wasted and nothing done.

Summer is definitely here. My main floor air quit cooling during the night of 6/29. I came home from work at 11:00am and it was 83 inside. I put in a claim at 12:14pm and made plans with the wife to move to a different part of the house until the air was fixed. AT 1:16pm I received a call from the Technician and I was back cooling by 3:00pm!!!👍

We have had two claims and both excellent. The first took a little time to connect because of a weekend; however, the second call we had an appointment scheduled by the second day. Communication via email was excellent; provider arrived within stated window and completed the repair completely. Personal and professional. I was skeptical about accepting whoever they sent, but in both situations we were well pleased. In both cases the $65 fee was very reasonable for the service call and all other costs were covered. We are very pleased with this warranty.

There is little feedback by the Service Repair person. I had to make several attempts to contact him via text and phone calls before he gave me an update. The equipment is a Hybrid Water Heater system and the system have been working as an electric water heater. The blower mechanism needs to be replace and the part has been on order for close to three weeks. The repair person mentioned that in his experience that the electric portion of the water heater normally breaks down about a year after the blower breaks. He claimed that he recommend to replace the entire unit but Choice Home Warranty only approved the replacement of the blower. So I forsee that the system will break, I will have to file another claim (time), will have to pay another $100 (deductible) and wait a long time before the unit is replaced. Not the best results thus far. But I must way that Choice Home Warranty does respond quickly not like my previous home warranty provider. Choice Home Warranty should implement a follow up system to monitor claims and follow up with the provider instead of having the customer follow up. Kent

Rules, options, and process is upfront. There is follow-through and they pay/reimburse within six weeks. The problem is the length of time to get something fixed. We live in a rural area with few known repair techs, and even fewer service companies who will jump through the home warranty hoops. You (the homeowner) will have to submit the service quote online with the tech standing beside you. (The techs don't have time to do this, but you will not be reimbursed for that $1800 water heater replacement that you promised the tech you would pay out of pocket!) Each household item has its own reimbursement value, so don't be surprised if it's lower than today's actual cost. Other than a long process, and having to do the electronic claims work yourself, it works.

The Technician that came to check out my furnace was very professional, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, informative as he did his job so I knew what was wrong, and very clean in his work, he gathered up all the paper that had been laid down to keep the carpet clean. I was very pleased with this service. Choice Home Warranty has Triple AAA Service.

We have never had a Home Warranty plan until recently. Our first claim experience has just occurred and thus far has been very positive. Choice Home Warranty made it very easy to file a claim online and they responded quite promptly. A local technician was sent to us for inspection and approval for the work to be done soon followed. CHW and the technician have both been very courteous, professional and considerate of us and we appreciate it. We do not regret our decision to purchase a Home Warranty plan and we are very glad we chose Choice Home Warranty for our company.

Refrigerator Repair Placing my claim was easy over the phone. The appointment was scheduled, and the tech arrived early. He took his time to identify the issue and kept me informed during his troubleshooting. He ordered the required part to tix the freezer and scheduled a return appointment. I have two accounts with you right now. One for a home in Florida and one here for my home in Pennsylvania. I had a refrigerator go bad. I had the repairman come out. I paid the amount that I had to give him. He looked at it and he said this cannot be repaired. And I saw that too. And it had to be replaced. And I was under the impression when I signed up for both of these contracts and I had a contract year before this for a home in North Carolina, but I was told it was going to be replaced. My refrigerator was not replaced. I was given a customer service woman that I had to talk to concerning that because I did not accept what they were giving me. I paid $2,300 for the refrigerator. And I was supposed to be given 900 and some dollars, which I still have not gotten yet after 3 weeks. She said it would take a while, but it's over 3 weeks, and I still don't have a penny. I had to go out with my own money and buy a new refrigerator. I said, why are you only giving me 900 and some dollars for a refrigerator that's over $2,000? She says because we found out that people, if we replace the refrigerator, they don't like it, and they have a different choice. So we decided to just give them the money. I said this is half of what I need. She said, told me to go to American Freight that they have refrigerators there, that I can get cheaper, they might have dings on them, or they might be okay, and that can replace it. I did all of the research on American Freight, and they are a shoddy company, they screw you over. If the refrigerator doesn't work, you're stuck with it. They ignore the call. Somebody you don't want to deal with. So I'm back to paying the full amount on my refrigerator. I feel bad because I took Choice. After all, it was rated the number one warranty company. And I'm disappointed for that. And I'd love to know where my check is for the refrigerator. And I still don't know why I don't get the full amount to get my even close to the full amount to get my refrigerator replaced.

I had to have a heating unit replaced and I did not know the time frame would take so long. Right now, it's cold and I have no heat. When I called they did send a technician out, and the technician told me what was going on and that my unit would have to be replaced. And that was about 2 weeks ago and the only thing I can find out now is that the unit has been ordered, but they can't tell me when it would get here for the technician to install the unit. So I am not happy right now.

I used the warranty the last time my heating went out. It was very cold outside and I was given the wrong information, information that was canceled out. But it was not canceled out, I was called by mistake. It was a little confusing with my scheduled appointment. It was canceled, but it wasn't canceled and I had to go out and purchase the heater because of the length of time that it was supposed to have taken, which it did not. But the gentleman who came to work on my heat was very pleasant. He arrived and we did repair the heat. And he was very helpful in pointing out a couple of things for me. And I was I was happy with him.

Toward the end of last summer, they sent someone here to fix my dryer and he said it needed a certain part. He was going to order it and I never heard from him ever again. But my dryer was working after he left, my dryer was working okay, everything was fine, so I just didn't contact Choice again.

The last time we used it was to unclog the toilet. But about 30 to 45 days the toilet quit working again and the company was called, and they said it had been 31 days and we would have to go back through the warranty company again. All in all it's been a good experience. That's the one thing.

We discovered a leak in the basement, and we couldn't tell where it was coming from. So we called up Choice, and they wanted to send a representative, or a plumber out 3 days later. And it took a lot of convincing to get them to understand that it was a leak and that it had to be fixed now because it was dripping all over the place. We finally got them to come out the same day, but the plumber couldn't find the source of the leak. And so, we cut two holes in the wall of my laundry room and I got charged $90 a piece for those, in addition to the $85 service call fee. I didn't think that was right that I should have to pay for those holes to be cut in my wall. Then the follow-up to that is trying to get those holes repaired, I called up Choice again. And they sent out a drywall person who patched the holes and put the mud on them and then didn't sand it or paint it and I can't get down on the floor with my new knee to be able to finish the job. So I got charged another $85 call for someone to do half the job and was willing to quote me on finishing the job, which should have been part of this all along. So both things got attended to, but they weren't done right. And I kept on getting these requests from first the plumber and then the drywall guy for extra fees that weren't supposed to happen after my $85 service fee.

Getting service right away was hard. Recently, it seems to have improved a little bit, but initially, like $25,000 in damage in the basement because of the delay, in getting the sump pump and the the water heater. Once broke and it took like 3 days to get it repaired. And then the other one had broken and so by the time, everything was all said and done, giving a lot of damage, but thankfully I'm well insured, so it's all covered. Since then though they've come right away. The most recent one which followed the garbage disposal. They were here within a day and before I even said something, they were not only there, they placed it right on the spot and it was done.

Everybody's been receptive and never had an issue when we call. The heating mechanism in our dryer gave out, and everything no matter what setting it was on, was too hot to even touch the outside of the machine. We couldn't use it without burning our hands. So we called and they sent somebody out right away and got it repaired.
