Although the phone tree was a little frustrating, I was very pleased with the service once I got to speak with a person. My claim ended up being split into two claims as I thought only the kitchen garbage disposal was involved, but it turned out that there was also a clog in the kitchen sink pipe (separate system.) That was a little annoying as the separate system required a 2nd claim and a 2nd deductible being paid prior to repair. Still, the service was prompt, the repairs were made quickly & efficiently once a technician was dispatched, and we have had no further problems. Overall, it was a completely satisfying experience.

I consider choice Home Warranty as health insurance for our house. In the course of its lifetime problems will arise and any of them particularly with major systems, can put a major impact on your enjoyment of it. I was pleased that how accessible he claims process is, both online and over the phone. The follow-up, immediately before the repair, and following, provided the assurance that the company is as interested in a satisfactory resolution as we were. Our claim was on a plumbing issue which prevented the use of our master bedroom shower. Wade plumbing services responded very quickly and were a delight to work with. They didn't stop until they repair the problem to our full satisfaction. I recommend Choice Home Warranty, not only to homeowners, but to home Sellers and Realtors as an added bonus to the sale of their home.

Overall, it was a good experience, but there was a lot unknown prices and fees. They did cover the actual water heater. But there was a lot of extra fees for the repair of the water heater and replacement. It was kind of hard finding the customer service number, but once I was able to find information, I actually wanted to speak to someone. It was kind of hard for me to navigate through the website to find the actual 800 number.

The service fee is nice when it was just maybe 60 bucks. It's a little steep now. They dispatched a repair personnel and they didn't have me waiting and pretty much kept their word as far as when they were coming and and got back to us. It was a reasonable amount of time. Keep up the good work and as long as you keep putting the customers first, I think you guys are on to something really great.

We've had to use it a number of times. My heating system went out and they had to replace it, which they did pay for. We had some refrigerator issues, but I think it was still under warranty, so I didn't call Choice about that, but my dryer has been the most recent. They are slow sometimes to get the repairs done. I had to wait a couple of weeks to get my dryer repaired.

One of my air conditioning units went out and I called Choice. I was kind of reluctant based on past experiences with other companies, but I called Choice and immediately they responded to my message, probably within an hour and then a day later a technician called me to set up the appointment. They came out and everything works well now. I think it's a great company and I appreciate Choice Warranty for all that they've done for me.

I like that you can pay an agreed amount per visit for getting surprised brake downs fixed in your home the bad part is you make a claim then got to get approved then wait for a random company to schedule an appointment that I my case took 8 or 9 days to come do the work the job was done right it's just that they dont get to come the day of or may be the week of you never know when they will get to you i guess depending on weather and availableity.

Choice Home Warranty has been great so far on these fronts: 1. Changing out my door locks with the best service ever from Kings Castle Locks and More. The owner came and provided excellent education and thorough service in ensuring my new locks were as secure as possible. She examined everything carefully and provided safety information for my home. She has a realtor background that helped her a lot. 2. Replacing my furnace valve and T pipe after I smelled a leak and found holes on both ends of T pipe. They diagnosed and fixed it all in one day - I hardly had to wait to get to that day, and Sierra Mechanical was wonderful. And Choice Home Warranty covered everything. 3. When I first moved in, my catalytic converter on my A/C went out and there was a major heat wave. I called Choice Home Warranty and they did not have an HVAC who could help right away. It took 3 weeks to get it replaced and then it was hard for the tech to get it approved, and I had to call on the person who sold me the warranty to advocate for me because Choice Home was not ready to replace it. As a new owner of the home, I had no access to the warranty information, which they said was the problem - that it was still under warranty. But with the help of my advocates (Bernie B, the HVAC person they assigned me), I was able to get it approved. So far so good in getting important things covered.

Ordinarily I am more than pleased with this warranty plan. However, the last service I scheduled due to a malfunction with my dishwasher where I paid the designated $75 truck fee left me stranded. The technician dispatched, Mike C aka Michael N quickly decided he could not fix my dishwasher. There is a glitch and the last technician was able to fix it easily, and it appears to be the same issue. This go around, he said the dishwasher was old and he could not get the part. He left me with standing water in the machine and never even looked at the electrical box, he merely tried unplugging it and plugging it back in. He stated he cannot turn it on and therefore cannot fix it. He assured me Choice would replace my dishwasher and to not accept their first lowball offer. I was offered $246 to replace my machine which will only help, not actually replace it. I spoke with my case manager who was very rude and firm that she could not budge and give me a nickel more. She said she was the only person I can speak to. Part of the appeal of this warranty is that it has replacement coverage. It does not say "replacement value" it says "replace." My dishwasher is not being replaced by the warranty company, I am having to replace it and wait weeks or up to a month for a Lowes gift card. I was made to believe the Lowes gift card would be instant then when I went to ask again it also takes 15 days or up to 30 days. Thankfully a dishwasher is not life or death in my home. I am disappointed, not only by the technician who left me with standing water when he couldn't even assist with a shop vac, he left within 10 minutes and then the case or clam manager who had an attitude and could not make a fair resolution of this claim.

The jobs that they have completed for me have been done well. When I put in a claim, they respond very quickly, but not in the sense of what's convenient. They'll just say you have a technician coming tomorrow at 4:00 and it's usually right away within 24 hours. But that's not how my day works usually. I have things to do and other plans. So I've only had to file a couple of claims but almost all of them I've had to reach out to the technician and change the days, things like that. I think they could do better by saying here are the three dates and you could have a choice - like tomorrow, the next day, or the next week, something like that.

Once I figured out how to get a hold of you guys, I got most of the claims done without any incident. You guys use an offshore call center, and I'm not a big fan of that. Overall, the people you talk to are very knowledgeable, not so much the offshore people, but the people that you talk to in the United States, they're very astute. I have had this coverage for several years. I put in 2 claims one dishwasher they paid me $591 based on features. Second one leak under the kitchen sink. It was my garbage disposal. I didn't think they covered that. The plumber went to his truck called them he said I will be back they are covering it. He went and got one and installed same day. I am very happy so far.

They will take care of the details and make an appointment depending on the urgency. I personally like that and feel secure. So far we did not have any major disputes with them. They were knowledgeable and friendly. I have found it to be a huge money saver for us. The amount that it has saved me over the years is just thousands. We have renewed every year for the last five years and I think I had them at my other house as well. However, this last time, it took several days to get somebody out here and it was a very scripted answer. You know, "Our dispatch is working on it, blah blah, blah. It could take 24 hours." Just a couple of weeks ago, we had a leak and they couldn't find a plumber, so they told me to go find a plumber and I did and I submitted the claim. Now I'm waiting to get paid. I just had another claim for another leak in another part of the house and they assigned a plumber. So I'm waiting to see that plumber as well. So far, they've been responsive and I have no problem.

I will probably sign up with them again in the next coming year. So I'm completely satisfied with Choice Home Warranty. All of my experiences were positive, except for one. I used it about two weeks ago. I called Choice Warranty and they had someone they sent immediately and the representative came out to repair it with no problem. The one experience I didn't have a good experience with was because I had three leaks and they gave me a hard time about getting it approved. But when they did, the plumber had to approve it or tell them that it was just a leak and I don't know why they didn't take my word for it. But other than that, I have nothing but positive feedback from working with Choice.

Typically it's good, but I have had some times where things have taken months or things never got done. The last two times I used it, I got somebody out within a few days and they did a great job. It tends to vary from location to location, in a highly populated, dense area like Houston I've got a lot of service providers and I get quick responses, and I have a home over in Florida in a less densely populated area, and sometimes it takes quite a while to get someone if I get anyone to come out.

It was very easy to file the claim online. The company that they dispatched out called me within that day and actually did a weekend visit without me even asking. They just came out on a weekend. The last couple of times the repair person came out, on both of the repairs and fixed it the first time. I didn't have to have someone come out for the second, third, or fourth time. Every time we place an order they take it right away, and within a day or two we get the service, which is fantastic. The very first one that we did the first year, I think was our garbage disposal was out. They came in, put in a new one and since then it's working fine. Our faucet was clogged, and the hot water was not coming they came out and then flushed it out and since then it's been working fine. Very recently we got our garage frozen light that was flickering, they came in and fixed that one too.

I did it all on the website. Just a few hours later I had a response back from them. So it was it was pretty quick and easy.I had a little incident where we needed parts and they sent the wrong parts, apparently to the wrong address, and they haven't been delivered yet. The pricing was crazy and I asked if I could bring in my own plumber and they said yes. I could pay a licensed registered plumber to go up front and they would reimburse them. My overall experience with Choice has been satisfactory. Actually, I have only had one really negative experience over the last couple of years working with them. That was when my heating unit need to be replaced. A very large expense which is the reason most people sign up for these type of services. The refused to pay and I had to come out of my pocket to cover that replacement. Actually, They did also try low balling me on replacing my dishwasher and I had to fight to get proper compensation. Getting someone out to do a repair has been good. Definitely saves me time and heart ache troubleshooting and attempting minor repairs. That alone gives me a positive out look on my experience with them. However, when it comes to an appliance replacement or major expense be prepared for a fight.

This is what I dislike. I wanted the same company who put the new unit in to comeback for the service call. With your current system it can’t be requested. Made fifteen calls to get that company out here. Second thing I had an entire AC system put in the Florida house. I got the written Warrenty for both the inside and outside units. The two incidents that I had over the past couple of months were positive ones. I was notified each day about what progress was being made and I was informed of the opportunity I had to get my own contractor if that would be necessary, but in both instances within the 48-day contract period for finding service, Choice was able to address the issue. So there was no need for me to go ahead and operate on my own, so to speak. I just had to pay for the initial service call, which was a reasonable amount less than I would have been charged had I gone out on my own and searched for a repair person.

I took advantage of a multiyear contract and I thought it was super reasonable. I got answers to my questions right away and they were real flexible on getting me the service I needed. Had a A/C call on the property and the guy had to come back out so Choice left the the request for help open and I only had to pay for them to come back out the next day.
